00:05this person doesn't exist in fact you
00:07did create one of these uh her name is
00:09Alice and people can find this model at
00:12this model does not exist.co I believe
00:15and we'll link that in the show notes
00:16let's just use that as an example if you
00:18wanted to do a photo shoot with Alice
00:21like how much would that cost and and
00:23let's break that down between like
00:24actually training the initial data set
00:27or the initial face and then actually
00:29generating a bunch of images let's just
00:31give the audience a sense of what that
00:35So currently to deep train a model on
00:39someone's face to be able to generate
00:41photos after that it costs 60 cents to
00:44generate this okay yeah so not even a
00:47dollar and then I think per photo your
00:49ads a fraction of a cents right now so
00:52you could generate hundreds of thousands
00:54of photos for less than 100 bucks
00:57um so technology is pretty cheap already
01:00so I believe this is this is from what
01:03I've seen talking to customers people
01:08uh question in my live chat is from Mom
01:10and Pop shops with close clothing brands
01:12who do not have the funds to hire models
01:15to put on clothing for the web shops who
01:18I think probably wouldn't even ever be
01:20able to hire a model to do the photo
01:22shoots for them so I see this as a it's
01:25like democratizing for the lower
01:28spectrum of the small business enabling
01:30them to do the fashion shoots and
01:33yeah I think it's mostly for those kind
01:35of uh consumers that this is interesting
01:37to do yeah and there's other
01:39applications of that like I I did a
01:41presentation recently and I use my
01:43journey for all of my images within that
01:45presentation and I probably would not
01:48have had those images I wouldn't have
01:51hired someone at the very least to go
01:53create them and so there is as you said
01:55this democratizing Force this ability
01:56for folks that didn't have access to a
01:59specific technology to use it in these
02:02um Sinead let's hear the other side of
02:04that like maybe perhaps some of these
02:07who are models may not be hired for the
02:10same roles or maybe they will still be
02:12and in the case where they are what are
02:15the benefits of all this like can you do
02:18a bunch of shoots where you know your
02:20avatar is quote unquote attending those
02:23shoots without you actually physically
02:27um can you save a bunch of money
02:28Fuel and not traveling can you actually
02:31like upgrade yourself in some way I'm
02:34just kind of throwing ideas out there
02:35but how might this actually change the
02:37industry for the better is there a world
02:39in which a model can be in multiple
02:42places at one time and therefore
02:44increase their their income stream and
02:46have more assets and themselves to be
02:48out in the market absolutely that could
02:51be quite profitable quite lucrative if
02:54the industry does evolve that way in a
02:57world where we want to see the the same
03:00influencers and people we look to in
03:03fashion to continue to be the face of
03:05Brands and the clothing but if you look
03:07at the history of technology technology
03:10is often quite deflationary over time
03:12especially when it comes to wages so in
03:16a world where a model can be in multiple
03:18places at one time yes they may be able
03:20to have more revenue streams coming in
03:22but do we see downward pressure on
03:24prices uh because a lot of it's created
03:27digitally and and there's an increase in
03:30in supply of identities that could pass
03:33for being human and so that's where
03:35things get a little bit gray and a
03:37little bit ethically red flags and kind
03:39of caution takes and I both think again
03:41it's not that this is unique to modeling
03:43we're going to see this across the board
03:45with AI it's going to put down more
03:46pressure on a lot of different wages
03:48from modeling to programming but that's
03:50where it becomes a little bit
03:52challenging and then what is uniquely
03:54applicable to modeling and maybe acting
03:57is that not only are people getting
04:00automated but their likeness in the
04:03communities they represent are also
04:06getting automated but someone is still
04:08benefiting also that very specific
04:10identity so that's where it starts to
04:13become a little bit gray yeah I mean I
04:16agree I mean it's going to be
04:18interesting to see how that all evolves
04:20if you you know like what regulation
04:22gets put in place what IP people own or
04:25do not own that goes into these models
04:28on the topic that this really does
04:30expand past modeling I think what's
04:32fascinating Danny is you've really went
04:33on this Sprint over the last few months
04:36you've created I mean I'm just gonna
04:37name some of the projects you did
04:39tattoos AI which is you know an AI
04:41powered tattoo artist we mentioned Alice
04:43this model that does not exist that you
04:45created you started I think or one of
04:47your early projects was profile picture
04:49AI which is similar to lensa which most
04:51people would recognize we talked about
04:52deep agency me morph people can morph
04:55themselves into their favorite meme and
04:57then most recently you're working on
04:59headshot Pro which is basically people
05:01can create their next corporate headshot
05:04or a company can create a kind of wave
05:07of headshots for their entire staff and
05:10so among those projects first just kind
05:13of tell me what you're seeing as you've
05:15launched these projects what people are
05:18getting excited about what you're
05:20getting a lot of traction with right
05:22away without maybe perhaps even trying
05:24and where actually you know this
05:27technology may be interesting but it
05:29feels more like you know a trek uphill
05:33yeah so first of all like the whole
05:36reason this skills really fast for me
05:38this gets a lot of attention because
05:39it's indistingual for magic at the
05:41moment you upload a few photos and
05:43suddenly you get hundreds and hundreds
05:44of profile pictures out for it so this
05:46is why people keep sharing it on
05:47Instagram on Tick Tock it goes fire
05:50really fast the second like I think what
05:52mostly gets solved at the moment is I
05:54get a lot of messages from folks who say
05:56I don't have any profile pictures I
05:58don't have any photos and suddenly I can
06:00look really well online and this is one
06:03of the major selling points for headshot
06:04for example well like me for example I
06:07hate going to photo shoots because I
06:08always look super awkward I don't smile
06:10like so for them this like solves an
06:13actual issue that they can look good on
06:15their uh LinkedIn same one with profile
06:17picture you can turn yourself into
06:18whatever you want Lancer showed how
06:20popular that could be I believe lens I
06:22did 40 million dollars with that I like
06:24this as an art I like to dabble with it
06:26I like to try things out I get an idea I
06:30gets easy and easier because it uses the
06:32same technology and the head Shield has
06:33been the biggest success traffic wise
06:36Financial wise at the moment for remote
06:38teams which is branded at the moment
06:40like good luck trying to get a
06:42photographer if your team is remotely
06:43and you have people in Asia America
06:45Europe and you want to get the same
06:47photo style like you cannot sense a
06:50photographer all around the world to get
06:52but everyone can upload a photo train an
06:55AI model on them use the same styles to
06:57generate it and basically everyone gets
06:59the same headshot for that team if
07:00you're creative enough in it you try
07:02enough there are use cases that people
07:05think it's gonna take away the
07:06photographer but I think it's gonna
07:09different kind of things that weren't
07:11possible before with this technology
07:13like having a photographer everywhere in
07:15the world trying out different
07:17hairstyles for example uh things that
07:19weren't able before that are enabled Now
07:22by this technology yeah it's kind of
07:24crazy if you go to headshot Pro I think
07:26you have this live counter
07:29um and last time I checked it said 450
07:32000 plus headshots were created and
07:34that's I think it's a million note
07:36because I have to manually update it and
07:38it's two weeks live now yes I was gonna
07:40say I just checked it last night you
07:42kind of alluded to this but there's ways
07:44that people are using this product like
07:45you're you're creating these projects
07:47and you're releasing them into the world
07:50and you're kind of tinkering and
07:51thinking oh maybe people will use it in
07:53this way but I've seen you tweet about
07:54the fact that you've actually been
07:56surprised that as you release this tool
07:58people are using the tool in ways that
08:00you didn't even expect as the Creator
08:02well that's that's like uh with profile
08:04picture I learned from the headshots and
08:06dmap shields because we used to do only
08:08these artsy Styles and people kept
08:10requesting hey can I get a LinkedIn
08:12photo for myself so we kept tinkering
08:14with that way yeah and just on the note
08:16of what people are being drawn to I
08:18think maybe one way to have a pulse on
08:21that is what people are willing to pay
08:23for and so among your projects have you
08:26noticed any Trends there in terms of
08:27things that people almost seem allergic
08:29to like oh this is cool this is novel
08:31but like I'm not gonna pay you thirty
08:34dollars for that versus maybe the
08:36headshot example of something that
08:38people have ingrained in their mind like
08:40oh a headshot is worth X dollars so with
08:43prohibits if we started pretty expensive
08:45at the time and I've been lowering the
08:46price lower lower and I think we're
08:48almost around cost price at the moment
08:50almost five dollars to generate them so
08:52yeah lensa basically killed the whole
08:54Market off today and after they went
08:56live right so yeah I think mostly now
09:00um it's the high quality output and I
09:02really wonder where we're gonna go in
09:03the next next few months because these
09:05models keep releasing keep releasing
09:09I barely sleep at night because every
09:11time I wake up the next morning there's
09:12something new that's launched that
09:13already makes the whole technology
09:15obsolete it's it's going so far so
09:19I don't know where it's gonna end up
