00:03best side hustle or what is the best way
00:05of earning money from the internet and
00:07as someone who's been making money
00:09online now for almost a decade at this
00:11point which is pretty crazy to say
00:13especially given the fact that I'm still
00:14pretty young I'm only 23 years old but I
00:16started making money online when I was a
00:18teenager still in school and I've tried
00:21almost everything as far as the popular
00:23ways of making money online that are out
00:24there if it was on YouTube as a way of
00:26making money online I've probably tried
00:28it and in an effort of giving everybody
00:30out there who's at an earlier part of
00:32their journey in earning on the internet
00:34I wanted to create this video making a
00:35tier list of what are in my opinion the
00:38best ways of making money online and the
00:39ways that you should really avoid I
00:41wanted to rank these in comparison with
00:42each other so you can see straight up
00:44what is the best way of making money
00:46online now if you're unfamiliar with how
00:48tier list Works essentially s is the
00:50absolute best in terms of whatever
00:52you're ranking and then it goes from a
00:54through F A obviously being the second
00:56best after s and then it descends from
00:58there so let's start with side hus
00:59hustle number one which is e-commerce if
01:02you watch videos like this youve
01:03probably heard a lot of people talking
01:04about doing e-commerce which is
01:06essentially where you either get a
01:07product produced to yourself by paying a
01:09manufacturer or you buy a product from
01:11one source and then sell it for more
01:13money from another source and keep the
01:15money in between and there's millions of
01:16people out there who make lots of money
01:18every single year with e-commerce so it
01:20can definitely work and to some people
01:22running e-commerce stores has literally
01:24made them multi-millionaires and they've
01:26been able to retire from it but there's
01:28also a lot of people have done
01:29e-commerce who haven't had that much
01:30success with it and in my opinion it's
01:32really not the best way of starting to
01:34make money online for the following
01:36reasons it's highly competitive and in
01:37many cases it's a race to the bottom
01:39because everybody tries to lower their
01:40prices as much as possible which
01:42therefore eats into their profit margins
01:44and they have to deal with that it's
01:45hard to find that right product in the
01:46first place you typically also need some
01:48sort of budget for marketing so you have
01:50to spend money on ads typically to get
01:52seen unless you're doing organic
01:53marketing and which case it can take a
01:55fair bit of your time and for all of
01:56these reasons right here I'm going to
01:58put e-commerce under C on our tier list
02:00it's not bad but I do think there's
02:02better side hustles side hustle number
02:04two is getting people to promote your
02:06own digital product the way that this
02:08works is that if you have any skill that
02:09you're good at that other people want to
02:11learn about you can simply record
02:13yourself teaching how to do that skill
02:15it can literally be anything but
02:16typically the best niches are going to
02:17be ones related to health wealth
02:19happiness relationships technology or
02:21travel and then you transform this into
02:23a digital product whether it be a PDF
02:25like the ones you'll find on websites
02:26like gumroad.com or whether it be a
02:28full-blown video course that teaches
02:30people whatever you're teaching these
02:32digital products can be incredibly
02:34valuable and I know that because I've
02:36personally made millions of dollars from
02:38my digital products that I sold mostly
02:40my YouTube course called tube Mastery
02:42and monetization but the way that this
02:43side hustle works is that not only can
02:45you promote your digital Course once
02:47you've made it from your own marketing
02:48efforts whether it be organically
02:50getting traffic to it or paying for
02:52traffic in the form of ads but you can
02:54take this to the next level by getting
02:56other people to promote it for you take
02:58my YouTube course tube mastery
02:59monetization for example I have my
03:01course hosted on a website called Digi
03:03store4 under the affiliate Marketplace
03:05and Affiliates can sign up to promote
03:07this course and they get a 50%
03:09commission for every sale that they
03:11refer so Affiliates will go out there
03:12and they will do all kinds of things to
03:14promote your program they'll run ads for
03:16you they'll write articles about your
03:17course they'll create YouTube videos and
03:19Instagram content also promoting it
03:21which is a win-win for both of you and
03:23once you create your course you can
03:24potentially sell it forever into the
03:26future and continue getting sales it can
03:28actually be very passive for that reason
03:30and then you can make the traffic
03:31Passive by getting Affiliates to promote
03:32it for you and for all of these reasons
03:34right here I'm going to put it at the a
03:36tier for our side hustles now you might
03:38be saying Matt why didn't you put it at
03:40an S tier and that's due to the fact
03:41that you typically have to have a skill
03:43that other people want to learn about in
03:45order to create that course and many
03:47people in the beginning of their side
03:48hustle Journeys may not necessarily have
03:50that skill but don't worry we are going
03:52to be getting into some s tier side
03:53hustles very soon and now let's get into
03:55our third online business which is
03:57running Instagram theme pages these are
04:00basically just faceless Instagram Pages
04:02where you pick a topic whether it be
04:03Sports business food and then you
04:05basically just make a page about it
04:07posting images related to that subject
04:09now the way that these Pages make money
04:11is by selling what are called shoutouts
04:13a shout out is essentially an
04:14advertisement for a company when that
04:16company pays to advertise on that page
04:19and the bigger your page grows the more
04:21shoutouts you'll sell and in fact I know
04:23people who make full-time incomes by
04:25running a bunch of these different
04:26Instagram theme pages and here's a
04:28simple plan for doing this if wanted to
04:30do it first of all start your page and
04:31choose a niche that you have some
04:33interest in next create a Content
04:34calendar that will help grow your page
04:36as fast as possible I personally would
04:38aim to post two to three posts per day
04:40and post a variety of feed posts
04:42Instagram reals which are essentially
04:43short vertical videos and Instagram
04:45stories which can be pictures or videos
04:47and then what you want to do is learn
04:48from the best and model what's already
04:50been working on other pages and another
04:52way of making additional money doing
04:54this also is you can promote affiliate
04:55products from your page or even your own
04:57digital product if you ever make one so
04:59now now it's time to rate this side
05:00hustle I'm going to put it under the B
05:02tier you might be asking Matt why do you
05:04put it there well I think it's pretty
05:05low effort to create an Instagram page
05:08so you don't need a ton of specialized
05:09knowledge like in the case of making a
05:10course but that being said the thing
05:12about Instagram is that it's not always
05:14the most Evergreen which means that you
05:17sometimes have to keep posting again and
05:19again and again in order to keep getting
05:21traffic from your Instagram and it can
05:23be quite a bit of work and I personally
05:25like some other traffic sources a lot
05:27better which we'll be getting into in
05:29this video but I don't think you should
05:30write off Instagram whatsoever and I
05:32think that everybody should have at
05:34least some type of presence on Instagram
05:36if you're trying to grow an online
05:37business I certainly do with selling my
05:39online course and everything but there's
05:41definitely better traffic sources out
05:42there and we'll put this side hustle
05:44under the B tier side hustle number four
05:46is promoting a high payout partner
05:48product now essentially this is just a
05:50fancy way of saying affiliate marketing
05:52a digital course that costs a decent
05:54amount of money and by decent amount of
05:56money I mean charging at least $500 to
05:58$1,000 for that digital course and
06:01there's a few reasons why this side
06:02hustle might be very interesting to a
06:04lot of people number one you don't have
06:05to have any sort of specialized
06:06knowledge and you don't have to go out
06:08there and create an entire program from
06:10scratch instead you can find and partner
06:12with somebody who's already done all of
06:14that hard work and potentially profit
06:16from it but you do need to give
06:17something of value to them in order to
06:19make a lot of money and that valuable
06:21thing is traffic and there's many ways
06:23you can get traffic to a product my
06:25personal favorite is creating regular
06:26YouTube content because it can live on
06:28forever and you can refer a lot of the
06:29views you get on YouTube to that
06:31affiliate product and the math on this
06:33just works out really well because if
06:34you just refer 20 sales per month
06:36selling a $1,000 affiliate product and
06:39you get a 50% commission from that
06:41product boom you just made $110,000 per
06:43month and it is what I would consider to
06:44be semi- passive because you upload the
06:46videos once and you can keep getting
06:48views for years in the future for
06:50instance on my program tube Mastery
06:52monetization we've paid out over
06:54$600,000 to Affiliates who've done
06:56exactly what I'm talking about so I know
06:58for a fact that this is possible plus
07:00I've done a lot of promoting affiliate
07:01products myself and I know it can
07:03definitely work if you go about doing it
07:04the right way so for all of these
07:06Reasons I'm going to put this under the
07:08S tier I think this is a golden side
07:10hustle and it's among the absolute best
07:13if you do it the right way and pair it
07:15with a traffic source that is semi-
07:17passive like YouTube now let's get into
07:19another side hustle that a lot of people
07:20do when they first start making money
07:22online which is freelancing freelancing
07:24is essentially where you help companies
07:26out with certain particular odd jobs and
07:28projects online and get paid as a result
07:31these can be things like writing
07:32articles or scripts doing graphic design
07:34like logos or YouTube thumbnails or even
07:36doing more obscure things like helping
07:38with AI prompting and freelancing can
07:40definitely be a great way to start
07:41making money online I know a lot of
07:43people who have gotten their start from
07:45doing this but that being said at the
07:47end of the day if you're a freelancer
07:48you do not own the business that you're
07:50working for you're still typically
07:52trading your time for money in the sense
07:54that companies will hire you they'll
07:55typically pay you an hourly rate
07:57sometimes they'll pay you an agreed
07:59amount for a certain job to be done but
08:01at the end of the day you don't own that
08:02company you're working for and for all
08:04of those Reasons I'm going to put
08:06freelancing under the E tier of our tier
08:08list but that being said there is a way
08:10of doing freelancing better and that
08:12would be related to our next side hustle
08:13we're going over which is s MMA that
08:16stands for social media marketing agency
08:18and this is basically where you help
08:20social media accounts but really you
08:21could help businesses out with anything
08:23online just like with freelancing but
08:25the key difference here is you charge
08:27them a monthly retainer and a month
08:29monthly fee this is very valuable to you
08:31because then you have monthly recurring
08:33income instead of just a oneoff job like
08:35in the case of freelancing and you're
08:37starting to build your own company and
08:38if you do the math on smma it can work
08:40out very well get a couple clients
08:42paying you a couple thousand a month you
08:44can potentially make a lot of money I
08:45know people who run video editing
08:47agencies ad agencies even more obscure
08:49agencies like ones that will answer all
08:51of your Instagram DMS for you that being
08:53said it can take some time to convince
08:55people to work with you if you're just
08:57starting out from scratch so it's not a
08:59perfect side Hustle but it's not
09:01necessarily bad either and for all of
09:03these Reasons I'm going to put smma
09:05under the C tier online business number
09:07seven is running faceless YouTube
09:09channels you've probably seen channels
09:10like this all the time on YouTube that
09:12create videos like top 10 lists or even
09:14just educational or entertainment
09:16content on a variety of different
09:18subjects I've done videos here on my
09:20channel where I talk about the 30 best
09:21niches of doing this in I've probably
09:23talked about hundreds of different
09:24niches here on my channel you can go
09:26back and look at them and you'll
09:27probably know if you've watched any of
09:29my my past content here on make money
09:30Matt that I talk about faceless YouTube
09:32channels a lot and for a good reason
09:34I've personally made most of my money
09:36from YouTube in one way or another and
09:39my faceless YouTube channel has got me
09:41my initial start on YouTube and it was
09:43the first way that I've made a lot of
09:44money online and I continue making a lot
09:46of money online from my faceless
09:48channels and there's channels out there
09:49like brainy do for example which has
09:51millions of subscribers they get
09:53millions of views per month and they
09:54potentially make a lot of money how do
09:56they do that well they make money from
09:57ad revenue on their videos because once
09:59you get 4,000 hours of watch time and
10:011,000 subscribers YouTube will put ads
10:04on your videos and then every time
10:05someone views One of Those ads boom you
10:07just made a little bit of money and
10:08basically the way this works is you
10:10choose a niche you find video ideas that
10:12are actually going to work modeling
10:13what's already worked in the past and
10:15then you generate those videos and
10:16there's so many different ways of doing
10:17this of course I talk a lot about them
10:19here on my channel and in my YouTube
10:21course I go way more in depth exactly
10:23how to do it but you can generate videos
10:24with stock content whiteboard animation
10:26software AI video generators and the
10:29list goes on and on and YouTube is
10:31really incredible especially even
10:32running faceless channels because you
10:34don't have to be some type of
10:35personality you don't have to be
10:36charismatic you don't have to get on
10:37camera you can do this from almost
10:39anywhere in the world what you look like
10:40doesn't matter your age doesn't matter
10:42it can take some time to build up but
10:44once you do build it up it's very
10:46Evergreen if you're within an evergreen
10:47Niche and your seeds so to speak aka the
10:50videos that you upload can continue to
10:52come to harvest so to speak and make you
10:54a lot of money over time so for all
10:55these reasons comparing it to so many
10:57different side hustles out there
10:59especially a lot of the ones that I've
11:00personally tried and if you watch my
11:01videos here on this channel it'll
11:03probably come as no surprise that I put
11:05faceless YouTube channels under the S
11:07tier of making money online side hustle
11:09number eight is doing online surveys if
11:11you've ever looked into making money
11:12online you probably come across this
11:14idea with companies offering you to just
11:16fill out surveys and you make some money
11:18from them now a lot of these survey
11:19websites aren't legitimate so be careful
11:21out there but there are some legitimate
11:23ones like for example Google opinion
11:25rewards which is simply an app you can
11:26download on your phone answer a couple
11:28questions make real money and it's from
11:30Google one of the top companies in the
11:31world which even owns YouTube that
11:33you're watching this on right here but
11:35you're not going to make millions of
11:36dollars answering online surveys
11:39unfortunately in fact the amount that
11:40you make is incredibly low so low in
11:44fact that I'm going to put online
11:45surveys under the F tier of making money
11:47online just because is it really even
11:49worth answering a bunch of questions
11:51just for a couple dollars a day maybe it
11:52is for some people but for the majority
11:54of people I really believe that your
11:56time could be better spent elsewhere
11:58hence the reason I making this video to
12:00hopefully give you value when it comes
12:01to that online job number nine is no
12:03code website design so recently there's
12:06been a lot of no code tools popping up
12:08becoming increasingly popular especially
12:09with people talking about them on
12:11YouTube and so forth one of them being
12:12web flow which allows you to create very
12:14Advanced websites which in the past
12:16would have required you being able to
12:17code and being a developer now people
12:19are able to do some of this with just
12:20using some of these no code tools and
12:23there's a bunch of routes you can go
12:24down with this when it comes to making
12:25money from this for example you could
12:27create your very own website it and use
12:29it to like sell a course or do affiliate
12:31marketing or you could just be a
12:32freelancer and build other people's
12:33websites for them so due to the fact
12:35that it's kind of all over the place it
12:36depends on the direction that you go
12:38with this I'm going to put no code
12:39website design at the C tier side hustle
12:42number 10 is transcribing video and
12:44audio there's websites like rev.com as
12:47well as gotranscript dcom which allow
12:49you to sign up as transcribers where you
12:51basically just listen to audio or listen
12:54to a video and write down what's being
12:56said throughout that content great
12:58potential wave make you money online if
12:59you have no experience with anything
13:01else and no skills but if you go on
13:03gotranscript tocom and you go to sign up
13:05as a transcriber they'll show you that
13:07their top transcriber the person who's
13:09making the most amount of money per
13:10month I think it's only like $100 a
13:12month honestly I think most people's
13:14time could be better spent elsewhere due
13:16to the fact that you're probably not
13:18going to make a ton of money from
13:19transcribing videos so I'm going to put
13:21transcribing videos and audio on the F
13:23tier of our side hustle list online
13:25business number 11 is Drop Shipping now
13:28Drop Shipping is a little bit different
13:30than e-commerce which we talked about
13:31earlier in that you don't have to
13:33actually hold any inventory yourself in
13:35fact what Drop Shipping is is where you
13:37create a listing say it's on eBay or
13:39Amazon and then when somebody buys from
13:41your listing you fulfill the order with
13:44who actually has the product for example
13:46a very popular dropshipping website is
13:48alibaba.com because it soures from
13:50cheaper countries and then you can
13:51essentially be a middleman between this
13:53transaction and the product will get
13:54sent to the end user and you never had
13:56to hold that product yourself and that's
13:58that's great some people have made a lot
14:00of money Drop Shipping but with all
14:02these people who claim to make a lot of
14:03money Drop Shipping they typically only
14:05show their gross revenue numbers which
14:07is very meaningless because think about
14:09it you have to also pay to fulfill that
14:11product and get it shipped out so even
14:13if someone's making say 50 $100,000 a
14:16month doing Drop Shipping they might not
14:17be keeping that much of that money as
14:20opposed to doing things like selling
14:21online courses or doing affiliate
14:23marketing or running faceless YouTube
14:24channels where the profit margins can be
14:26over 80 to 90% if you're smart with it
14:29it's not always the case with Drop
14:31Shipping so for that reason alone
14:33because at the end of the day we're
14:34trying to make money doing this and the
14:36amount of money we make is corresponded
14:38with the amount of value we give people
14:39we're not giving people that much value
14:41by Drop Shipping a little bit in the
14:43sense that we helped them find that
14:45product hopefully a little bit easier
14:46but I'm still going to put it under the
14:48D tier for our online business tier list
