00:00it's no secret that getting access to
00:02Mid journey is not a quick and easy
00:03process but it won't be that way for
00:05long soon everyone will be able to
00:07create images directly on Mid Journey's
00:09website this new website is in Alpha
00:11Testing and that means access is limited
00:14because it's an active construction zone
00:16the full release is likely still several
00:18weeks away but it's going to be a game
00:19Cher for a lot of people who don't like
00:21using Discord the Discord server won't
00:23be going away this will just be another
00:25way that people can create images and
00:27now that the alpha site has been
00:28released a bit more widely I thought I
00:30would share a little bit about this new
00:31website so the first big question is how
00:33do you know if you have access to the
00:35alpha website if you've created more
00:37than 1,000 mid Journey images you have
00:39access to the alpha website in Discord
00:41just type slashin and look at your
00:44lifetime images number if you're not
00:46quite there yet I'd encourage you to
00:47stay to the end of this video not only
00:49to get a preview of what making mid
00:51Journey images on the web looks like but
00:52there are features that have already
00:54been pushed to the main website that I
00:56will be covering and I posted a poll the
00:58other day on the community tab of my
01:00pannel because I was curious how many
01:01mid Journey images you all have made
01:03that poll is still open so feel free to
01:05add your data point now if you have past
01:08the 1,000 image Mark you will
01:09automatically be using the alpha website
01:12you no longer need to go to a separate
01:14URL you'll know that you're on the alpha
01:16site because you'll see this Red Alpha
01:18text in the upper left first we'll have
01:20a look at the explore page the explore
01:22page is the same for everyone whether or
01:24not you're using the alpha site so you
01:26may have noticed that they've added
01:27different ways to view random or
01:30the search bar in the upper right
01:32searches all images made with mid
01:33Journey except those made with stealth
01:35mode of course this is a fuzzy search so
01:37it's not an exact word for word search
01:40on the alpha site you can start creating
01:42images directly from the Imagine bar up
01:44here but we're going to hold that
01:45thought for a moment and take a quick
01:47look at the archive page the archive
01:49page on the alpha site is the same thing
01:51as your my images page on the main
01:52website just like on the main website we
01:55can create and add images to folders
01:57there are a lot of different ways to
01:59filter our images I often check the box
02:01to only view my upscales or check the
02:04option to view the full image instead of
02:05the cropped Square versions if I want to
02:07go back and look at images that I made
02:09in 2022 I can hover over the scroll bar
02:12here on the right and dates will pop up
02:15I can left click once a specific date
02:17shows up or I can click and drag to go
02:19all the way back to my first image I
02:21started using mid journey in July of
02:232022 and apparently my first prompt was
02:25unicorn swimming in a dark Pond
02:27surrounded by Spruce Forest which was
02:29way back in the V2 days mid Journey's
02:31come a long way in the last year and a
02:33half we can also search our own images
02:35using prompt text parameters such as
02:38aspect ratio and even style codes so
02:42this is all available on the main
02:43website too you don't need to have
02:45access to the alpha site to use those
02:46features and now what many have been
02:48waiting for creating images on Mid
02:50Journey's Alpha website now I'm not
02:52going to go through every feature in
02:54detail because like I said this is an
02:55active construction zone but let's cover
02:57the basics the Imagine bar at the top of
02:59of the page is where you will type your
03:01prompts to change your default settings
03:03you'll click this button on the right
03:05this is the equivalent of typing SL
03:07settings in Discord but you'll see that
03:09some of the options are slightly
03:10different you can now set default aspect
03:13ratio you can set default values for
03:16stylization weirdness and what they've
03:19labeled as variety that's actually the
03:21chaos parameter and when you hover over
03:23each of these words you'll get a
03:24description which I think is going to be
03:25really helpful for people that aren't
03:26very familiar with these extra
03:28parameters the images that you see here
03:30are my most recent mid Journey results
03:32each row corresponds to the image grids
03:34that we are familiar with in Discord if
03:36it was an upscale you'd just see one
03:38image here and any images that I make
03:40through Discord or through the website
03:42will show up on this page on the right
03:44is my prompt text and any non-default
03:46parameters that were included for that
03:48job so let's make some images so I'm
03:50just going to type my prompt up in the
03:51Imagine bar here you don't need to
03:53include slash imagine at the beginning
03:56and if you want to add parameters just
03:57type them at the end like you would in
03:59Discord so I'll add an aspect ratio of
04:013:2 for this and if you're looking for
04:03some prompt inspiration I just started a
04:05new series of videos that I'll link okay
04:07and then press enter to submit
04:09immediately you'll see a placeholder for
04:10the results the text prompt and the
04:12non-default parameters that were used
04:14for that job once the job completes we
04:17have a lot of options if I hover over
04:19the white space to the right of the
04:21images I can roll the job again using
04:23the exact same prompt I can click this
04:25button to put the full prompt back into
04:28the Imagine bar and edit it before
04:30submitting if I didn't like the results
04:32I can just hide them or I can click on
04:34this more button and get access to the
04:36copy menu or download the image grid if
04:38I hover over the individual results
04:40images I can click one of these buttons
04:43to generate variations on an image so
04:45this is the equivalent of clicking a v
04:47button and if I right click on an image
04:49I get access to even more options liking
04:51the photo adds it to your liked photos
04:53which you can then filter on in your
04:55image archive hiding the image doesn't
04:57delete it but it hides it from your main
04:59archive page page to pan on an image
05:01Click Change AR there's a nice pop-up
05:04window that lets you drag a slider while
05:05showing you what the end aspect ratio
05:07will be and you can set your initial
05:09image to remain at the center start or
05:11end back to our rightclick menu VAR
05:14region is under VAR and pops up with the
05:16same window that we get in Discord I can
05:18choose to upscale subtle or creative I
05:21can remix this image which is when you
05:23run a variation on an image but you have
05:25the option to edit the text before it
05:27runs I can also choose to reuse the text
05:29in a new prompt or use the image itself
05:32as an image prompt and or a style
05:33reference I can also just click and drag
05:36it up to the Imagine bar to do that when
05:38I hover over the image I can choose how
05:40I want it to be used and I can even add
05:42multiple images you can upload external
05:45images to save for future use as image
05:47prompts and style references by just
05:49clicking the plus sign these are all the
05:51ones that I have saved in here so I can
05:52click and drag any of these into the
05:54Imagine bar let's go back to our image
05:56results if I click to open one of the
05:58image results you'll see a whole menu of
06:00options off to the right most of these
06:02were covered in that rightclick menu but
06:04you may have noticed that zoom out was
06:05not in the rightclick menu but it does
06:07show up here we have zoom out 1.5x and
06:092x and if I hover over 2x I can click
06:12this little pencil and set a custom Zoom
06:14value I suspect these Zoom options will
06:16be integrated with that rightclick menu
06:18at some point these buttons down here
06:20also show up anytime that you view an
06:22image in your archive if you're on the
06:23alpha site you can click any of these
06:25buttons to start a new imagine job so
06:28that's a quick rundown of mid Journey's
06:29Alpha site the most sought-after feature
06:31is definitely the ability to create
06:33images without using Discord if you have
06:36access try it out and see what you think
