00:02you so much for watching this video and
00:04for spending some minutes with me today
00:07I want to talk about autop pilot I've
00:08been investing automatically with this
00:10app for about a year now and I wanted to
00:12show you my results so for those of you
00:14who don't know this app uh basically it
00:16allows you to invest alongside
00:18worldclass investors right so you don't
00:20have to do anything you just follow what
00:22they do and as you can see on their
00:24website they have about one 11,000
00:27investors so far and those investors
00:30have invested over $50 million so that's
00:36investor and so what I've done is to
00:38summarize my numbers in this Excel page
00:41and I'm going to go over this with you
00:43now so basically uh on the left hand
00:46side you can see the different trackers
00:48that I'm using at the moment I have the
00:52Amman Citadel Buffet uh also this mix of
00:55politicians D Deo andbar right
01:00I started with bar um and I think I
01:03started investing what you see in the
01:05chart this the blue line is the
01:07evolution of the S&P 500 from the from
01:11January 2023 until December
01:152023 and so I started investing first
01:18with this app uh following bar and this
01:21is was around the end of January very
01:24early February right and so the trading
01:28here if you draw a line from left to
01:30right uh I'm trying to put the numbers
01:33up here right so if I invested uh
01:36between the end of January and early
01:38February that means that any investment
01:41that I made below this line here right
01:45should have should have given me between
01:5120% why because if I had invested
01:54everything down here in January uh the
01:58S&P 500 now is2 3% up and so if I had
02:02invested at this point or at this point
02:04I would be getting 16% or 18% right and
02:08then if you draw the line to the right
02:09that means that those numbers will be
02:11the same if you had invested down here
02:12or here or here or here or here here
02:16Etc and so as you can see by the way uh
02:21investments uh to this app happened I
02:24think in the first half of 2023 mostly
02:27because after that I reached the point
02:29where I didn't want to increase my risk
02:31using you know one particular app so I
02:34stopped adding additional funds so my
02:36money was invested until June 2023 so I
02:41was you know uh my expectation was to
02:44get at least what the S&P was getting if
02:48I had invested here or more than that
02:50because the reason I'm doing this with
02:51this app and also some other Investments
02:54I'm I have here that I'll I'll mention
02:56later is to try to beat the S&P 500 so
02:59if I was investing down here I should
03:02have received a return of let's say 23%
03:06or 15 or 18% now look at my numbers
03:10right the the tracker that is performing
03:13better for me is the agman one and I'm
03:14just gaining 12% yes that's still you
03:17know a good number I'm still above 8 n
03:1910% above inflation probably but my
03:22concern is it's not close to the numbers
03:25that I should have uh received if I just
03:29had invested this amount of money in the
03:33500 um you know I've been trying to go
03:36through the returns more or less on a
03:38monthly basis and for example The
03:41Citadel one is one that performs very
03:43well when the market is going down so
03:45when the market let's say was down going
03:48down here in this uh from August to
03:51November that's the one that was
03:53performing better and so over the past
03:55few weeks since the market started to go
03:57up since November uh the Amman one and
04:01the Buffett one are performing very well
04:03as well or are performing are catching
04:06up now the Dal one has always been a bit
04:09at the bottom for me so I'm not too
04:11happy with this one and I think the I
04:14think the bar one is expected because
04:16he's always you know if you if you've
04:19watched his movie or the movie where you
04:21know they tell about his story uh you'll
04:24understand a bit why right because he's
04:25betting against the market and so uh my
04:29problem is that when I started investing
04:31uh you know the minimum per tracker is
04:33$500 so I I added a bit more in this one
04:37and so if I invested here if I remember
04:40correctly about the first week or month
04:43or so this tracker was about 20% down
04:46because one of the bets that they made
04:48you know wasn't performing as expected
04:50so they had to exit and this affected me
04:53quite a lot and that meant that you know
04:55it's been difficult for me to catch up
04:57the rest of the year and to go back to
04:59zero or to positive numbers so what I'm
05:02planning to do with these trackers next
05:04year is probably to uh now that they are
05:08uh all positive is to cancel some of
05:12them uh and to reinvest them somewhere
05:16else and so the other thing to consider
05:18with this app is that you have to pay a
05:22quarterly fee I think it's about $30
05:24that's this you know 120 I mentioned
05:26here so it's $30 per quarter that's 20
05:30to just be on uh to just follow the
05:33trackers automatically to whatever they
05:35do so I think the main problem with this
05:38system is that the the different
05:41trackers the your trading is not
05:44automatic doesn't match 100% the time to
05:48when they make the trades right meaning
05:51the the company this company with the
05:53app needs to go through their
05:55documentation and make sure that they
06:00uh automate that process and make those
06:02changes but that takes about anything
06:04between 15 and 20 30 days so if you go
06:07into these particular trackers they talk
06:09about this which means that I'll give
06:11you an example let's suppose that uh
06:14they make uh you know let's suppose that
06:17Amman makes some changes at the bottom
06:20here end of November you see how this is
06:24growing very quickly for about maybe a
06:26week or 10 days well maybe you are not
06:29catching it because your trades won't
06:31happen until you know uh the system
06:35makes the trades which is 10 15 20 days
06:37later so then you are you are losing
06:40quite a lot of time when this is going
06:41up very quickly and then you are
06:43starting the investment here and that
06:44makes a difference right so that uh five
06:48or six or seven or eight% that of
06:52difference between the S&P and this I
06:54think it's affected by that a little
06:56bit uh the same applies the other way
06:59around right like uh if the market is
07:01going down and they make some changes
07:04well you are not you're not you are not
07:06exiting your positions quickly enough
07:08because they've not uh uh because
07:11they're not in the system yet and I
07:13think that's affecting you when the
07:14market is going down quickly like for
07:16example here or in some other instances
07:18or right here in the case of my 20% uh
07:23right now the second
07:25example um and before we go into this so
07:29these these green lines they don't
07:31represent 100% when I invested in the
07:34market uh the first two years and I'm
07:36just trying to draw horizontal lines
07:39right so for example this one here is
07:42mid June so that would be probably this
07:44one here meaning if you had invested
07:46here you just would be getting about 7%
07:50uh return today right instead of the 23%
07:54that's also one of the critiques I have
07:56for uh this app and also for uh Robin
08:00Hood right it's you it's very easy to
08:03see the accumulated return um and
08:06obviously this is accounting that for
08:08the fact that you are making Investments
08:10maybe along the way and that's the
08:12overall return that you get but it's
08:14very difficult for me now to go back you
08:16know uh and see when you know the exact
08:19time when I invested in these particular
08:21trackers you know there are there is so
08:23much activity in you know among all
08:25these tractors in terms of Buy sell by
08:27sell byy sell by sell that is very
08:29difficult for me not to say okay yeah I
08:31invested in the buffet like in the
08:33Citadel maybe right here so I can
08:35calculate the percentage of return very
08:37exactly for me that's what I'm saying
08:39that this area here and that's what I'm
08:42trying to Define this as a you know 15%
08:45sense so the other strategy I'm
08:48following is investing directly into the
08:51top uh companies in the stock market by
08:54market capab uh and as you can see here
08:57I think I started doing this strategy
08:59probably around September that's why I'm
09:01picking this number here so this number
09:03in September it's aligned with the June
09:06one so which is up here right so that
09:09means that I'm not looking at the 23% in
09:12this particular case anything that I
09:14invested after June right uh from June
09:18to September right that's I think that's
09:21the bulk of it then I should be getting
09:237% and as you can see I'm getting more
09:27than the S&P I'm getting 8% 10 10 10 13
09:30and 19 in the case of uh
09:32meta yes if you had invested everything
09:35down here then you could be back at this
09:39level here right which is Feb and that
09:42would be the 15% so if I had invested
09:45all these amounts here you know in
09:48November then I would just be expecting
09:51I would be expecting 15% so you know I
09:54wouldn't be making money with these
09:55amounts but I think I invested before
09:57that and so that's why I'm going back to
09:58my my uh 7% up here or you know let's
10:02say let's say you know uh 7 8% so all
10:07these things are above the SMP at the
10:09moment so as I said my plan is to
10:12basically cancel some of these trackers
10:16and reinvest the money in the second
10:17method I'm using and most likely I'll
10:20I'll give it another quarter probably
10:22see how it performs in the first quarter
10:24so I have a bit more of data going into
10:26the new year and see how that that uh
10:29performs and if doesn't perform as
10:31expected I'll just cancel it and I'll
10:33move all the money back into my
10:35individual stocks so I hope this helps
