00:00so when I started this Witcher Channel a
00:02little over a year ago one video I was
00:04astonished had never been made was a
00:06thorough guide on builds for each
00:07Witcher armor I think I understand why
00:09now this video was way more of an
00:11undertaking than I expected but here we
00:13are I've put together optimized builds
00:15for each of the seven Witcher sets cat
00:17Griffin bear wolf Viper Manticore and
00:20forgotten wolf aka the Netflix gear I'm
00:23not saying these are the only viable
00:24builds definitely not but each build
00:26I've put together plays to the strengths
00:28of the individual armor sets and as
00:30someone who has more time in this game
00:31than I'm willing to admit publicly I
00:33promise that you can't go wrong with any
00:35of these that said if you're not
00:36planning on watching the whole video
00:38which I assume most people clicking on
00:40this wouldn't and are planning to
00:41instead jump to whichever build sounds
00:43most appealing because I have time
00:44stamps for you I strongly strongly
00:46recommend that you watch this first part
00:48of the video where I lay out some
00:49important information you're gonna need
00:51to know as they affect each and every
00:52build I did my absolute best to make
00:55this video useful for everyone although
00:57this video would be a lot to take in if
00:58you've literally never touched the game
01:00before but that said I do ask that you
01:02just listened to the next minute before
01:03moving forward so you're not wondering
01:05why I don't elaborate on certain things
01:07later they're explained here so I'm not
01:08repeating several different things seven
01:10times in a row first thing to note there
01:12are a few skills that are going to show
01:14up again and again and I want to explain
01:16why right now the most important is
01:19delusion and the reason this will be in
01:21every setup is not related to combat the
01:23skill does stop enemies from advancing
01:25towards you when using axi but the
01:27reason you'll see it in every build is
01:28because it unlocks a ton of dialogue
01:30options in game without it you'll
01:32probably be annoyed that you're
01:33frequently getting locked out of
01:34conversation paths if that sounds like
01:36something that wouldn't bother you then
01:38you can remove delusion from any build
01:39but I wouldn't recommend it the second
01:42skill you're gonna see in most of these
01:43setups is synergy this is a skill from
01:46the Alchemy tree and what it does is
01:48dramatically increase the stat bonuses
01:49you'll receive from mutagens so in a
01:52sign build that means a lot more sign
01:53intensity in a sword build that means
01:55significantly higher damage so this
01:57skill fits incredibly well in setups
01:59that are otherwise me free now that said
02:01Synergy should not be an early game
02:03priority it's a bit of an investment to
02:05get to so keep that in mind when working
02:07towards the final builds I have for you
02:08today since I mentioned mutagens I want
02:11to quickly explain what those are they
02:13drop from monsters and can be placed in
02:14slots near your skill trees to put it
02:16simply if they match the color of the
02:18nearby equipped skills the bonus
02:20received goes up dramatically all we're
02:22worried about today are blue mutagens
02:24and red mutagens blue increases sign
02:26intensity red increases damage there's
02:29different levels lesser regular and
02:30greater and each stage increases the
02:32bonus received I'll be showing greater
02:34mutagens throughout this video but keep
02:36in mind that the main way you upgrade
02:37from one stage to the next is by
02:39collecting the Lesser versions which
02:40you'll find in combat three lesser
02:43equals one regular three regular equals
02:45one greater I also need to mention that
02:47for each build I'll be giving you a rune
02:49write recommendation the Rune right is a
02:51special Merchant from hearts of stone
02:52who offers unique sword and armor
02:54upgrades these upgrades take up all of
02:56your Rune or glyph slots so you can't
02:58have anything else in your Armor's chest
03:00or your swords but often those upgrades
03:02are worth the trade-off if you're new to
03:04the game he's extremely expensive and
03:06the quest to unlock his services are
03:08well over level 30. so don't worry about
03:10him early but he can be found here on
03:12your map also I want to make a couple of
03:14disclaimers about the blood and wine
03:15mutations and Grand Master armor
03:17mutations are special late game
03:19abilities if you're not to the blood and
03:21wine DLC yet don't worry about them but
03:23I will be making recommendations I
03:26should also say that those upgrades will
03:27eventually unlock additional ability
03:29slots up to four but they're usually
03:31limited to specific types of upgrades
03:33and don't have any mutagen bonus I will
03:35be making some recommendations for those
03:37bonus spots but keep in mind that by
03:39that point the essentials of the build
03:41are usually taken care of and you're
03:43probably not even going to unlock two or
03:45maybe even three of those extra slots
03:46until New Game Plus for Grand Master
03:48armor which I mentioned a minute ago
03:50most of you know this but the final
03:52upgrades to armor sets come with a bonus
03:54ability for using half the set and then
03:56another if you use everything so all
03:58armor and both swords though those
04:00bonuses are included in this video but
04:02just know that they won't apply until
04:04you've upgraded your armor also this
04:06part really needs to be hammered home
04:07Grand Master bonuses do apply to all
04:10upgrade levels in New Game Plus that was
04:12a change introduced with the Next Gen
04:14update that I think a lot of people
04:15aren't yet aware of finally also in the
04:18blood and wine DLC there's a silver
04:20sword called arendite that can be
04:21acquired during a quest called there can
04:23be only one it's very very good every
04:26hit on an enemy increases its damage by
04:2810 percent up to a maximum of 100 before
04:31it deals a very powerful strike and its
04:33damage is increased by a small amount
04:34permanently if I recommend it for a
04:36build just keep in mind that if you're
04:37at a lower level and nowhere near the
04:39DLC you can just stick with whichever
04:41silver sword as part of the set I'm
04:43going over that said if you're halfway
04:45through a playthrough and find a sword
04:47you think is cool and want to use go for
04:49it it's a game have fun there's only a
04:51couple of cases in this video we're
04:53using a specific sword is super
04:54important and I'll make those situations
04:56very clear it's also worth pointing out
04:58that almost all of the gameplay in this
05:00guide will have enemy upscaling on and
05:03what that means is all opponents will be
05:04scaled up to my level so nothing is
05:07going to go down super super easy it's a
05:09more consistent way to show how
05:10effective these builds are than with it

06:55builds so first up let's talk about the
06:57feline gear or cat armor this that is
07:00all about Critical Hits and general
07:02sword damage and other than delusion for
07:04the speech checks and Cat School
07:06techniques for the huge crit and attack
07:07bonuses all of your early game points
07:09should be invested in the red combat
07:11trait you'll need muscle memory for the
07:13flat fast attack damage increase precise
07:15blows for the increased crit chance and
07:17crit damage and you'll also want to be
07:19investing in Adrenaline this meter right
07:21here that builds during combat and does
07:23a few things but most importantly
07:24increases your damage Razer Focus gives
07:27you a free point every time combat
07:29begins and also increases how quick the
07:31meter fills from there undying saves you
07:33from death as long as you have at least
07:35one point available and resolve stops
07:37you from losing adrenaline when taking
07:38damage which you otherwise would finally
07:41you'll want the Whirl skill which
07:42unlocks a special fast attack where you
07:44swirl around and slice and dice
07:46everything in sight that's all you're
07:48going to want for red skills but those
07:49should be your early game Focus now we
07:52want to start investing in alchemy with
07:53an end goal of further increasing our
07:55damage metabolic control is huge it
07:58increases your toxicity by 30 points
08:00allowing you to consume more decoctions
08:02and Potions this is only a one point
08:04skill in the general tier so if you want
08:06you could equip this one really early on
08:08the Alchemy tree itself though I'd
08:10recommend holding off even starting in
08:12with these skills until you first
08:13upgraded everything else we've talked
08:15about so far the three most important
08:17Alchemy tree skills for this build are
08:19acquired tolerance Hunter Instinct and
08:21killing spree acquired tolerance
08:23increases your toxicity for every
08:25alchemy recipe you've discovered so make
08:27sure you're exploring and coming across
08:29these this skill just gets better and
08:31better the more you've explored Hunter
08:33Instinct increases your critical hit
08:34damage by 100 when adrenaline is maxed
08:37out which is very easy to do with this
08:39build and finally Killing Spree
08:41increases your crit Chance by 30 for
08:43every enemy you kill in a combat
08:45encounter so if you're fighting more
08:46than a couple of enemies you'll be
08:48getting consistent critical hits in no
08:50time before moving on to mutations and
08:52the bonus skills you can equip let's
08:54move over to our equipment up until you
08:56reach blood and wine feel free to just
08:58use the cat swords for the upgrade level
09:00of your armor once you get to the blood
09:02and wine DLC and can use errandite
09:04definitely use that instead it
09:06sacrifices the six-piece Grand Master
09:08cat bonus but believe me it's worth it
09:10with this build you're going to want to
09:12go to the Rune right and equip Severance
09:13on both of your swords what Severance
09:16does is drastically increase the range
09:17of the Whirl attack which makes it far
09:19more effective and an absolutely
09:21ridiculous tool for crowd control for
09:24your armor I would enchant it with
09:25protection which gives you a frequent
09:27Shield whenever you enter combat you can
09:29also go with deflection which deflects
09:31arrows from Human enemies but that will
09:33do nothing for you against Monsters for
09:36the glyphs installed in your boots pants
09:38and gloves there's nothing that affects
09:39sword damage or crit chance so I would
09:42just stack up on some Quinn intensity
09:43glyphs this will allow your free Shield
09:45to tank a few more hits and there really
09:47isn't a better option okay back to the
09:50skill page and the mutation this is
09:52going to be a Euphoria final build which
09:54is the mutation that increases your
09:56sword damage and sign intensity but most
09:58importantly your sword damage based on
10:00your toxicity because we have acquired
10:03tolerance and metabolic control equipped
10:04our toxicity is already fairly High the
10:07exact number will depend on how many
10:09Alchemy recipes you've discovered but by
10:11the time you're getting to blood and
10:12wine if you've been clearing out points
10:13of interest on your map it should be up
10:15there now with this build you still have
10:17a lot of excellent skill options you can
10:18use which makes the bonus spots that
10:20open up as you research more and more
10:22mutations pretty valuable with some of
10:24the builds that come later because of
10:25the way they're structured these skills
10:27matter less but here you can continue to
10:29dramatically improve this build even
10:30into New Game Plus first I'm going to
10:33recommend Synergy to further increase
10:34your mutagen bonuses and second you're
10:36going to want to invest in Fast
10:38Metabolism this skill makes your potion
10:40toxicity drop significantly faster which
10:43frees you up to drink more and more
10:44after that I like refreshment which
10:47heals 30 of your total health every time
10:49you pop a potion and finally I like to
10:51use protective coating which gives you
10:53damage resistance to whichever enemy
10:54type matches the blade oil you have
10:56equipped the one weakness of this set is
10:58that you're still pretty susceptible to
10:59damage cat armor has the lowest
11:01protection of any Witcher gear but the
11:03nice thing about this build is getting
11:05your health back is incredibly easy the
11:07reason it's so easy beyond the skills I
11:09just mentioned is because of the
11:10decoctions you'll be running if you
11:12don't know decoctions are more or less
11:14long-lasting potions 30 plus minutes at
11:16a time the other difference between
11:18decoctions and Potions is that the
11:20toxicity from decoctions doesn't ever go
11:22down until the effect wears off unlike
11:24potions where your toxicity will start
11:26ticking down immediately so with this
11:28build at its Max potential you can have
11:31three decoctions active at a time with a
11:32fair amount of room for potions on top
11:34or you could even have four decoctions
11:36but no room for potions but you don't
11:38really want that however you're probably
11:40gonna have a little less toxicity than I
11:42do in my build you're seeing on screen
11:44as you need to have every single alchemy
11:46recipe discovered which you might not
11:47you may put this Build Together a little
11:49earlier and only have room for two
11:51decoctions plus potions that said the
11:53most important concoction you're gonna
11:55need to have active is the troll what it
11:57does is give you constant Health
11:58regeneration in in and out of combat and
12:01the reason this is so important has to
12:03do with overdose damage usually if you
12:05drink too many potions they'll start
12:07damaging you but with full decoction
12:09active your toxicity meter can be pushed
12:10to its limits with no drawbacks after
12:13troll you're free to do whatever you
12:14want with decoctions but here are some
12:16quality options ekamara should be a
12:19priority what it does is provide healing
12:21whenever you damage enemies pretty
12:23straightforward with a build like this
12:24one catacan is also nice as it gives you
12:27a flat crit chance increase those are
12:29the three I like to use most of you
12:31likely won't be at a point in your game
12:33where you'll have space for three and
12:34Potions so trolls should be priority
12:36number one ekamara is very very strong
12:39and catacan just plays Super well with
12:41critical hits for potions once you have
12:43Fast Metabolism you can just Spam
12:45whatever you want to your heart's desire
12:46you'll be able to have five plus potions
12:48active at once if you want plus your
12:50decoctions before that point though I
12:52like to prioritize Thunderbolt for the
12:54damage boost and mirabore Forest is nice
12:56for adrenaline gain plus a free point
12:58upon consumption if you're early into
13:00the build and don't have Troll And
13:02ekamara yet you'll need to use swallow
13:04and white raffords for healing but once
13:06you have those decoctions active at all
13:08times healing potions become very low
13:09priority okay let's move on to my
13:12Griffin sign build which is arguably my
13:14favorite way to play I'd like to
13:16immediately make clear that this is not
13:18going to be a balanced sword and sign
13:19build you can do that with Griffin gear
13:22but this is a setup for those of you who
13:23want to commit to Witcher signs and push
13:25them to their absolute limit the first
13:27ability Point you're going to want to
13:28spend once you have the gear is on
13:30Griffin School techniques it's one of
13:32the general skills and will dramatically
13:33increase your sign intensity and stamina
13:35with medium armor which Griffin is other
13:38than that though with this build we're
13:39putting all of our points into signs for
13:41quite a while because we want to
13:43maximize our sign intensity and stamina
13:45regen and every sign perk equipped helps
13:47us increase both of those stats in
13:49addition to their main ability in some
13:51cases the actual effect of the skill is
13:53almost secondary to wanting our slots
13:54filled up with sign upgrades so we can
13:56increase our intensity so because we're
13:58so focused on upgrade writing our sign
14:00intensity and stamina if I don't have a
14:02science skill equipped here it's for one
14:04of two reasons a it's completely useless
14:07or nearly so or B it directly conflicts
14:09with a later element of this setup so my
14:12final skills not including mutagen slots
14:14are these for ARD I have everything
14:16equipped far reaching art increases your
14:19range hard sweep gives you a 360 effect
14:21if you hold down the cast instead of
14:23just pressing it art intensity increases
14:25your art intensity believe it or not and
14:27Shockwave which is the most vital of
14:29these skills gives the sign a massive
14:31upgrade by allowing it to remove a flat
14:33percentage of enemy Health that
14:35percentage gets higher and higher with
14:36your sign intensity if you're in the
14:38early to Middle stages of working
14:40towards the setup the only thing to keep
14:42in mind with the art skills is that art
14:43intensity the skill is useless until
14:46Shockwave is equipped the reason for
14:48that is without Shockwave all art
14:50intensity does is increase your chance
14:52of staggers and knock downs but with
14:54this build our intensity will already be
14:55to a point where we can stagger or knock
14:57down just about anything however once
14:59you've equipped Shockwave like I said
15:01the damage from that skill increases
15:02with your intensity so the art intensity
15:04perk then becomes vital I apologize for
15:07how many times I just said intensity
15:08that will continue throughout this build
15:10moving on to igne the only skill you'll
15:12want is igne intensity everything else
15:15here will either do nothing close to
15:16nothing or directly conflicts with what
15:18is coming for erden you're going to want
15:20two of the four skills sustained glyphs
15:23increases trap duration and supercharged
15:25glyphs is beyond essential this skill
15:28was massively buffed with the Next Gen
15:29update and with this build it has
15:31absolutely ridiculous damage potential
15:33and also synergizes incredibly well with
15:35where this final build is going for quen
15:38again two of the four upgrades exploding
15:41Shield sends enemies flying and Deals
15:43damage when the sign breaks and Quinn
15:45discharge sends some of the damage the
15:46shield absorbs right back to the
15:48opponent for axi all you're gonna need
15:50is delusion for the speech checks that's
15:5210 sign skills in total plus Griffin
15:55School techniques which leaves us with
15:57one open spot in my final build I like
15:59to again fit in Synergy from the Alchemy
16:02tree which we've talked about before
16:03this is going to dramatically increase
16:05your sign intensity bonus from your
16:07mutagen slots but it should be stressed
16:09that getting to Synergy is a commitment
16:11and you shouldn't worry about this perk
16:13until you're at least done with the base
16:15game early on just focus on your sign
16:17skills and equally important focus on
16:20getting those blue mutagens upgraded so
16:22let's quickly talk about the Rune right
16:24and mutations you're going to want to
16:26enchant your armor with rotation which
16:28gives igne a 360 degree area of effect
16:31this was buffed with the Next Gen update
16:33and is now incredible when fighting more
16:35than one enemy the glyph slots on the
16:37boots pants and gloves should be filled
16:39up with either igne or R glyphs I'd
16:41recommend igne our Quin intensity is
16:43high enough same with axi and iriden for
16:46the Rune openings on your sword the
16:48vella's runestones are the way to go as
16:50they give you a flat sign intensity
16:52increase for your swords in general just
16:54stick with the Griffin swords as they
16:55give you the best stat boost for what
16:57this build is all about and more
16:59importantly way you need to be using
17:00them for the Griffin set bonuses at
17:03three pieces you can double cast your
17:04signs so two right in a row which is
17:06obviously Beyond useful for this build
17:08and at six pieces casting iridin and
17:11standing in it increases your sign
17:12intensity by 100 percent and also
17:15reduces the damage you take and upgrades
17:17your stamina the iridine ring itself
17:19also has its size increased the final
17:21step of this build is to unlock the
17:23blood and wine mutation conductors of
17:25magic what it does is ADD fifty percent
17:28of your sword damage to every sign cast
17:30as long as you have your sword drawn and
17:33at this point once you have that
17:34mutation your signs are going to be
17:36Beyond ridiculous quen iridin art and
17:39igne are all capable of rapidly killing
17:41any enemy you want to and your swords
17:43kind of become secondary that's the
17:45point of this build if you want
17:47something more balanced look elsewhere
17:49in this video for the extra perk slots
17:51you get from mutagens conductors of
17:53magic lets you slot in either combat or
17:55sign skills so red or blue because we're
17:58almost exclusively using signs with this
18:00build especially once we're this deep
18:02into a setup you really can do whatever
18:04you want here irden intensity is worth
18:06using but for various reasons that's
18:08about all that's left in the sign tree a
18:11lot of the alternate signs conflict with
18:12what this build is centered around and
18:14when intensity isn't going to do much of
18:16anything when it's already so high
18:17because of that you may as well invest a
18:20bit in Adrenaline points Razer Focus
18:22will give you a free point and you can
18:24pair that with undying which saves you
18:26from death as long as you have a point
18:28it's a nice fail safe and you should
18:29also throw in resolve which will ensure
18:31you don't lose your point from taking
18:32damage oh also you're gonna have
18:35relatively low toxicity with this build
18:37so for Potions all you really need to
18:39worry about is healing swallow and white
18:41raffert's decoction will be more than
18:43enough you can also equip petri's filter
18:45for a little extra sign intensity but
18:48you may want to keep your toxicity
18:49available just for health you're gonna
18:51have quen available basically all the
18:53time but things do happen even though
18:55the Griffin Armor's protection is more
18:56than adequate so for the bear Witcher
18:59set I decide decided to do something a
19:00little different and this is a build
19:02that has become one of my all-time
19:04favorites now I do want to point out yes
19:07you can do another Euphoria build with
19:09the bear armor I already did cat
19:11Euphoria in this video and will also be
19:13doing Manticore Euphoria later and it's
19:15also a solid option with bear of the
19:18three though I will say that bear
19:19Euphoria is my least favorite in terms
19:21of actually having fun just my opinion
19:24so I wanted to put something together
19:25comparable in terms of power potential
19:27but with significantly more gameplay
19:29variety I should say this build is one
19:32you do have to work quite hard towards
19:34and it needs the blood and wine mutation
19:36to bring it all together with every
19:39other build in this video I tried to
19:40write each of them in a way where you
19:42can follow along from almost any
19:43starting point this build though does
19:45absolutely require the mutation to make
19:47sense so I wouldn't go down this path if
19:50you're just starting out and want to use
19:51the bear gear so with that out of the
19:54way we are putting tons and tons of
19:56points into the combat tree some of
19:58these might seem nonsense physical
19:59without knowing what equipment we're
20:01going to use later so just bear with me
20:03until you see the end result so first we
20:06have the fast attack skills muscle
20:08memory for the damage and precise blows
20:11for the critical hits same goes for the
20:13strong attacks we're gonna want both
20:15crushing blows and strength training
20:17Rend is also essential we're also
20:20putting points into adrenaline resolved
20:23to ensure we don't lose it when we take
20:24damage and razor Focus for a free point
20:27in combat and quicker generation of
20:29points in general I also have crippling
20:31strikes the skill that guarantees that
20:34fast attacks cause enemies to bleed
20:35finally you absolutely need to have a
20:38whirl equipped in addition to those nine
20:40combat tree perks I also have delusion
20:43for the dialogue options Synergy for
20:45another 60 attack power from our mutagen
20:48bonuses and Cat School techniques for
20:50the huge critical hit and fast attack
20:52bonuses right now you're either thinking
20:54I've gone completely off the rails or
20:56you know exactly where I'm going with
20:58this now with with most of these setups
21:00I explain my bonus mutagen spots near
21:02the end but with this one I should talk
21:04about them now because I have some
21:06really important skills there the thing
21:08to keep in mind is that by the time you
21:10have the mutation we're using for this
21:12build you're going to have two bonus
21:14spots open and again this build needs
21:16the mutation so if you're doing this you
21:18will have the extra space and these
21:19perks should just be considered part of
21:21the main build the First Essential
21:23Alchemy skill is acquired tolerance
21:25which increases your toxicity AKA how
21:28many potions you can drink for every
21:29alchemy recipe you've discovered if
21:31you've been clearing out points of
21:32interest by the time you're in Blood and
21:34wine this skill by itself should be
21:36giving you enough toxicity for what this
21:37build is trying to accomplish next
21:40you'll want to use protective coating
21:41which increases your damage resistance
21:43against whatever enemy type your
21:45currently equipped blade oil matches
21:46because bear is by far the armor with
21:49the best resistances combining it with
21:51protective coating makes you an absolute
21:53tank before we even consider anything
21:54else in my last two spots which are an
21:57extension of this build but not at all
21:58required I have Hunter Instinct and
22:01killing spree the first increases your
22:03critical hit damage with full adrenaline
22:05while the second increases your crit
22:07chance for every enemy you kill in a
22:09single fight these just bolster your
22:11already very high crit stats and are
22:13worth the investment once those spots
22:15open up so let's move over to my
22:17equipment and eventually the mutation as
22:19I have some explaining to do maybe the
22:22most important thing you're going to
22:23want to prioritize is enchanting your
22:24bear armor with levity using the Rune
22:26right now your heavy bear armor is
22:28treated as a light armor you'll have
22:31rapid stamina regen with all of the same
22:32protection stats and equally important
22:35is you'll now be able to benefit from
22:36the cat School techniques perk we
22:38equipped earlier you'll also want to
22:40enchant both of your swords with
22:41Severance which dramatically increases
22:43the range of both whirl and Rend
22:46Severance is essential for this build so
22:48be sure to make it a top priority for
22:51the extra glyph openings on your gloves
22:53pants and boots your two best options
22:55are either going to be quenglyphs as
22:57that's the only sign this build will
22:58regularly use use or reinforcement
23:01glyphs which just makes your equipment
23:02wear down far slower if you don't mind
23:05repairing your equipment frequently just
23:06go with quen as there's no Home Run
23:08option for those extra spots now I again
23:11want to acknowledge that this build
23:13without the mutation is dumb it doesn't
23:15make much sense and is poorly optimized
23:17throw the mutation in there with a bit
23:19of clever manipulation and all of a
23:21sudden this build becomes absolutely
23:23busted and extremely fun with a lot of
23:25variety which is a rare combo the
23:28mutation in question is metamorphosis
23:30and what it does is give you a free
23:32random decoction every time you apply a
23:34critical effect to an enemy critical
23:37effects are burn freeze poison that sort
23:39of thing and even mind controlling with
23:41axi is a critical effect these free
23:43decoctions cost you no toxicity in last
23:464-4 minutes now you might be thinking
23:48that sounds terrible there are so many
23:50decoctions tons of them are useless and
23:53getting them at random offers no
23:54reliable benefits while that is true but
23:57this mutation can be manipulated a bit
23:59all you need to do is go into your
24:01inventory and pick out your five
24:02favorite decoctions after that just drop
24:05the rest of them why well even though it
24:08doesn't say so metamorphosis only pulls
24:10from the decoctions in your inventory so
24:12you can get it to give you exactly what
24:14you want every single fight that means
24:16you can have your five favorite
24:17decoctions at absolutely no toxicity
24:19cost and you'll also be able to drink
24:21whichever potions you feel like drinking
24:23on top of that applying critical effects
24:26to enemies is extremely easy and sort of
24:28strangely defined if you play it right
24:30you can have all five to captions active
24:32before you've even swung your sword the
24:34easiest way I've found to activate them
24:36is to Simply throw a dancing star or
24:38Fire Bomb each tick of fire will count
24:40as a separate application of a critical
24:42effect so within a few seconds of
24:44throwing it you'll be fully decoctioned
24:46out Northern wind also works as does
24:48Devil's puffball and even the regular
24:50grape shot bomb although dancing star is
24:52the quickest on top of that if you find
24:55yourself out of bombs or are just not
24:56wanting to stop and throw one you can
24:58quickly get your Takashi back with fast
25:00attacks as they have guaranteed bleed
25:02from the crippling strikes perk we
25:04equipped what's even more and I'm kind
25:06of bearing the lead here a little is
25:08that I've also found that simply
25:09parrying Works to get a decoction back
25:11for some enemies you'll have limited or
25:13no pairing options but against many
25:15enemy types it works incredibly well for
25:17getting a decoction or two replenished
25:19and parrying is something you'll likely
25:21be doing anyway so as far as which
25:23decoctions you're going to want to use
25:24you can play around with several but
25:26here is my favorite setup first I have
25:29water hag what this does is give you an
25:32absolutely massive 50 damage increase
25:34whenever your health is maxed out and
25:36with this build keeping yourself fully
25:37healthy should be easy I also have
25:40catacan which is going to give you a
25:42flat crit chance increase at all times
25:44which speaks for itself then I have the
25:47Echidna decoction which is absolutely
25:49essential for this build what it does is
25:51heal you whenever you do anything that
25:53uses stamina so if you use whirl you
25:55heal yourself if you use Rend you heal
25:57yourself I also have
26:00which heals you whenever you deal damage
26:02to enemies between those two keeping
26:04your health maxed out is extremely easy
26:06and you'll almost always be benefiting
26:08from the waterhag decoction your fifth
26:10decoction is really up to you and the
26:13fact that I'm even saying fifth
26:14decoction is insane but if you really
26:16want to Triple down on keeping your
26:18health maxed out just go with troll
26:20decoction that'll give you constant
26:22moderate health regen and will also
26:24offset any overdose damage you might
26:26take if you drink too many regular
26:27potions usually too many potions would
26:30start ticking down your health
26:31immediately but troll decoction heals
26:33you faster than overdosing damages you
26:35that said if you want to not worry about
26:37overdosing at all and instead swap troll
26:39to Cochin out for something else one
26:41skill you could consider specking into
26:43your build is heightened tolerance this
26:45brings your overdose threshold all the
26:47way up to 80 percent at which point you
26:49should never be overdosing with this
26:51build what I'm about to say may sound
26:53insane for a bear build but if I was
26:55going to spec in height intolerance I'd
26:57probably take out protective coating
26:59this build just gives you so much
27:01healing and damage resistance already
27:03that I have found protective coating has
27:04very little effect on how quickly I can
27:06get my health back up to 100 for the
27:08water hag decoction damage boost don't
27:10get me wrong protective coating still
27:12mitigates a lot of damage but the
27:14decoctions we have active are so
27:15effective at healing that getting back
27:17to full health is not much of an issue
27:19it's up to you I still think protective
27:21coating and troll decoction is the
27:22better combo but if you want more
27:24freedom with your decoctions height
27:25intolerance should also be a
27:27consideration I should also throw it out
27:29there that in my endgame build you're
27:30seeing on screen I do have enough
27:32toxicity to drink a decoction to have
27:34active full-time and still have a ton of
27:37room for potions so I could leave six in
27:39my inventory drink one the normal way or
27:41even two if I didn't care about having
27:43as much potion freedom and then get the
27:45rest from critical effects however in
27:47this save I literally have every Alchemy
27:49formula discovered so acquired tolerance
27:52is doing a lot of heavy lifting but most
27:54of you will likely be missing at least a
27:56handful of formulas so your toxicity
27:57will be a bit lower than what you're
27:59seeing on screen for potions the most
28:01important three are Tawny owl
28:03Thunderbolt and maribor Forest Tani owl
28:06significantly increases your stamina
28:08regen so you'll be able to whirl and
28:10Rend constantly Thunderbolt gives you a
28:12flat damage increase which speaks for
28:14itself and maribor Forest gives you a
28:16free adrenaline point and increases
28:18adrenaline gain that means you'll
28:20immediately have two adrenaline points
28:22whenever any combat scenario begins and
28:24it'll take very little time to max out
28:26your meter and fully benefit from the
28:28damage boost adrenaline gives you plus
28:29the extra damage increase you'll be
28:31getting from the hunter Instinct perk
28:33the potion blizzard is also fun for
28:35slowing down time but is not necessary
28:37what I really like about having heavily
28:39invested in heel decoctions is that you
28:41no longer have to worry about healing
28:43potions like swallow and white rafford's
28:45decoction which is actually a potion I
28:48know that's confusing anyway swallow and
28:50white raffords are completely
28:51unnecessary in this build so you can
28:53just focus on potions that boost your
28:55combat stats for signs really all you
28:58need to be using is quen the Grand
29:00Master bear gear gives you a nice little
29:01quent upgrade as long as you're using
29:03three pieces if one Shield breaks you
29:05have a chance of getting another for
29:07free which is nice for swords I just
29:09rocked the bare steel and erendite the
29:12six piece bear set bonus is not good
29:14enough to justify using anything other
29:15than air indite but keep in mind that
29:17until you get it the bear silver sword
29:19is a great option as well I just need to
29:21stress that this build is absolutely
29:23ridiculous I think the gameplay should
29:25be speaking for itself it's amazing at
29:28everything other than your signs needing
29:29to be limited to quen as your stamina
29:31should be reserved for Rend and whirl
29:33once you're fully benefiting from
29:35everything this set has to offer you
29:37have the potential to One-Shot almost
29:39anything in the game with Rend and whirl
29:41is so fun and effective for crowds that
29:43is more than worthy of its inclusion
29:44here okay let's move on to our woven
29:47setup there are a lot of equally solid
29:49options with this set but I'm gonna give
29:51you my favorite of the best setups the
29:54Wolf Gear is meant for well-rounded
29:56builds so not setups where you're
29:58pushing one mechanic to an unre
29:59reasonable level what it is great for
30:01are builds that are nicely balanced and
30:03really push you towards engaging with
30:05several Tools in Your Arsenal and the
30:07build I have for you today is centered
30:08around swords signs and the blade
30:10mechanic I do have Synergy in this build
30:12and also Griffin School techniques for
30:14those huge medium armor booths but other
30:16than that it's all sign and combat
30:18skills the combat tree is very
30:20straightforward I first have the two
30:22fast attack skills muscle memory for
30:25damage precise blows for critical hits I
30:28also have a heavy focus on adrenaline
30:30points Razer Focus gives you a free one
30:32whenever combat begins and also
30:34increases Point generation resolve makes
30:36it so you don't lose any adrenaline when
30:38taking damage which you otherwise would
30:39and I also like to throw undying into
30:42this build what it does is save you from
30:44death and restore some of your health as
30:45long as you have an adrenaline Point
30:47available which you always should with
30:49this build just as a quick reminder
30:51adrenaline increases your sword damage
30:53and builds up during combat finally this
30:56is the most important skill here you
30:58need crippling strikes this skill gives
31:00you a 100 chance of causing bleed to
31:02enemies with fast attacks which means
31:04you don't have to invest much of
31:06anything else in bleed to enjoy all the
31:07benefits we'll be discussing in a minute
31:09now for the sign tree we of course have
31:11delusion again and then we've invested
31:13into igne and quen first we have igne
31:16intensity and then we have fire stream
31:18which is the alternate igne mode you can
31:21still use regular igne by tapping but
31:23holding down your cast will activate the
31:25alternate version we'll talk about how
31:27this plays into the build in a minute
31:29finally within our Standard 12 spots we
31:31have exploding Shield which causes quen
31:33to knock back and damage enemies that
31:35break through the sign now before we
31:37talk about mutations let's move over to
31:39equipment we're going to use both woven
31:42swords as if you're gonna go with a
31:43bleed build you kind of have to as both
31:45are required for the Grand Master 6p set
31:48bonus both woven bonuses are bleed
31:50related one increases your sword damage
31:53for every bleeding enemy which can add
31:54up fairly fast because with crippling
31:56strikes your bleed chance is maxed out
31:58with fast attacks and the other bonus
32:00increases the amount of bleed you can
32:02apply to a single enemy dependent on
32:04your adrenaline which synergizes well
32:06with our previous upgrades if you have a
32:08full adrenaline meter that means three
32:10fast attacks will cause an enemy to
32:11bleed three times at once so three times
32:13faster for the ruins on your sword I'm
32:16gonna recommend going to the Rune right
32:17and applying preservation to one of your
32:19blades what this does is make the Boost
32:21you get from grindstones and armors
32:23tables permanent this means that the 20
32:25stat increase never wears off and you
32:27only need it on one sword to apply to
32:29both and your armor you can put it on
32:31either sword it really doesn't matter
32:33and the other we're going to fill up
32:35with good old fellas runestones for
32:36increases to sign intensity by the way
32:39if you find yourself in a situation
32:40where you don't have enough skill points
32:42for the crippling strikes perk yet the
32:44one that gives fast attacks guaranteed
32:45bleed then instead fill up your sword
32:47with Devana Rune Stones which increase
32:49your bleed chance anyway we're also
32:52going to enchant our armor with
32:53protection which gives a frequential to
32:56the beginning of each fight this is
32:58extremely useful especially in a bill
32:59like this when we're using firestream
33:01which can leave you a little vulnerable
33:03the glyph spots on our boots pants and
33:05gloves are all going to be filled up
33:06with igne glyphs to upgrade that sign
33:08even further finally for our mutation
33:11I'm again going with conductors of magic
33:13this was also in the Griffin build but
33:16essentially what it does is increase
33:17your sign damage by whatever 50 percent
33:19of your sword damage is so if your sword
33:22deals 600 damage every sign cast gets a
33:25300 damage increase and that benefit
33:27applies to fire stream what that means
33:30is igne will absolutely melt even the
33:32highest health enemies and also when
33:34your quench Shield breaks it'll deal
33:35massive damage to anything nearby what I
33:38love about this build is how flexible it
33:40is against large defensive enemies you
33:42can get a few swings in to get that
33:43bleed going and the second they protect
33:45themselves you can start melting them
33:47down with igne to get them burning so
33:48you have more chances to apply bleed
33:50also because we've invested in Quinn
33:52it'll have your back when vulnerable
33:53with firestream against groups I mean
33:56this set speaks for itself your sword
33:58damage is high enough to take care of
34:00any grunts with ease and if fighting a
34:02group of higher level opponents bleed
34:04and burn both have the ultimate
34:05potential to melt away the health of
34:06enemies you aren't even focused on
34:08anyway let's talk about our extra
34:10mutation spots and you can use both
34:12sword and sign builds with the mutation
34:14we've chosen for this build for me I
34:17decided to upgrade quite a bit more with
34:18extra intensity and also quen discharge
34:21which kicks back some of the absorb
34:23damage onto the attacker and I also
34:25threw in deadly Precision which is just
34:27a personal preference what that does is
34:29give you a chance of insta-killing
34:30enemies and that chance increases with
34:33your adrenaline I just find that skill
34:35fun it adds an X Factor you can't really
34:36control and is always pretty satisfying
34:38for potions again our toxicity is fairly
34:41low and I like to keep it simple most of
34:43the time by focusing on healing with
34:45swallow and white raffords but you can
34:47also throw Thunderbolt in there for
34:48extra damage or petri's filter for a
34:51sign intensity boost I just want to say
34:53I'm so happy with how this build turned
34:54out if you're looking for something fun
34:56and pretty varied then this is an
34:57excellent path to take so so next up we
35:00have the Viper gear and this one was a
35:02real headache to even include the reason
35:04I say that is because the Viper gear
35:06doesn't work like every other set this
35:08armor doesn't really have any specific
35:10stat bonus to build around and it's also
35:12only available at a single upgrade level
35:14you buy the schematics during the hearts
35:16of stone DLC but there's no upgrading it
35:18from there when I say it doesn't have
35:20any stat bonuses to build around I just
35:22mean that none of the individual armor
35:24pieces greatly enhance specific
35:25non-resistant stats like every other set
35:28the armor does offer very solid
35:30protection but that's it whereas every
35:32other Witcher armor also has multiple
35:33and major damage Alchemy or sign-based
35:36upgrades you're meant to play into the
35:38only very small exception is that the
35:40Viper gear does make you immune to
35:41poisoning which is a nice little perk
35:43when poison occasionally comes up in
35:45gameplay but it's absolutely not
35:47something you build around like upgrades
35:49to attack power stamina or sign
35:50intensity the Viper set also doesn't
35:52have the huge Grand Master set bonuses
35:54for wearing three or six pieces which
35:57every other set benefits from Once fully
35:59upgraded and in New Game Plus the Viper
36:01set doesn't even have a grand master
36:03tier to begin with it's just the one
36:05tier and that's that for those reasons I
36:07want to be up front and say that if
36:09you're set on using the Viper armor
36:10because you love the look you can kinda
36:12feel free to do just about anything
36:14there is no template as essentially all
36:16the armor does is give you good damage
36:18resistances and that's why I'm going to
36:20give you two options for this set just
36:22for the sake of not copping out here the
36:24Viper swords themselves do have some
36:26extremely specific bonuses to build
36:28around if you really want to and while
36:30those don't make for the statistically
36:31best build it can be fun and at least
36:33you're building into what the swords do
36:35so I am going to give you a setup
36:37centered around those alternatively if
36:39you're sure you want to commit to the
36:41Viper gear but do want the statistically
36:43best possible build what you're going to
36:45want to do is use almost exactly the
36:47same setup as the Euphoria cat School
36:49build I did earlier in this video and
36:51I'm going to refer you back to that
36:52section the only thing to change is
36:54you'll need to sacrifice the protection
36:56enchantment which gives you a frequent
36:58shield for the levity enchantment which
37:00turns your medium Viper armor into light
37:02armor that will allow you to benefit
37:04from the cat School techniques perk
37:06that's in the Euphoria build you'll be
37:07doing the cat armor can benefit from it
37:09by default because it's already light
37:11whereas the Viper set needs the levity
37:13enchantment so you have to sacrifice the
37:15protection glyph word you can also drop
37:17the Alchemy skill refreshment if you
37:19want to swap it out for poisoned blades
37:21which gives your oils a chance of
37:22poisoning enemies the reason you might
37:24want to do that is because the venomous
37:26Viper School swords give you a poisoning
37:28chance and if you want to play into it
37:30with poison blades go for it the Viper
37:32version of the cat Euphoria build is
37:34basically trading off damage for
37:35protection the Viper gear has
37:37significantly higher resistances while
37:39the cat armor comes equipped with huge
37:41boost to attack power that the Viper set
37:43just doesn't have now I said I was going
37:45to give you a second option for the
37:47Viper gear and the reason for that is
37:49because the Viper venomous swords as
37:51mentioned do have some boosts you can
37:53invest into the swords themselves are
37:56excellent they really are so I'm going
37:58to give you a second bill held strictly
38:00centered around what the swords already
38:01do they boost R to Critical Hits and
38:04poison chants so here's a fun build
38:06centered around hard sword damage and
38:08poison the Euphoria setup we already
38:10talked about is better it just is but if
38:13you love The Viper gear and want to play
38:14into it while using all six pieces here
38:17you go I'm gonna run through this one
38:18quicker than the others because really
38:20if you're just dead set on using the
38:22Viper gear but want the best build
38:23you're just going to want to do Euphoria
38:25but this is something fun so you're
38:27going to want to invest in the two
38:28primary fast attack skills muscle memory
38:31for the increased damage and precise
38:33blows for the crit bonuses you're also
38:35going to want to take crippling strikes
38:37for the guaranteed bleed which I'll
38:39explain in just a minute you also need
38:41to invest in Razer Focus for a free
38:43adrenaline point when entering combat
38:45and resolve to ensure you don't lose any
38:47adrenaline when taking damage you'll
38:49also need to throw in Griffin's cool
38:50techniques from the general tree for
38:52increased sign intensity and stamina
38:54from the Alchemy tree we are taking
38:55protective coating for the extra damage
38:57resistance when using oils and poisoned
39:00blades which increases our poison chance
39:02when using oils finally I have Synergy
39:04again for those boosts to our mutagen
39:06bonuses in the sign tree I of course
39:09have delusion for the speech checks and
39:10then I fully invested in Ard all four
39:13skills maxed out in my final two bonus
39:16spots from the mutation I've just
39:18invested a bit in exploding shield and
39:19quen intensity as we're going to be
39:21taking the glyph word protection I just
39:24talked about this but what that does is
39:25give you a frequential whenever entering
39:28combat which is such a nice little
39:29quality of life feature that I fitted in
39:31wherever I can there is an art-based
39:33glyph word but because we're going to be
39:35using a certain mutation it really isn't
39:37worth it before we get to the mutation
39:39though let's talk about our sword ruins
39:41very simple we're playing into poison so
39:43fill those swords up with the Murano
39:45Rune Stones each one increases your
39:47poison Chance by five percent and
39:49between those the swords built-in
39:51benefits and the poison blade skill your
39:53attacks will very consistently be
39:55poisoning everything not immune the
39:57crippling strike skill was included in
39:58this build because it guarantees bleed
40:00with fast attacks and what that means is
40:03most of your sword swings will be Auto
40:04applying both statuses at once you'll
40:07also want to fill up the extra glyph
40:08openings on your gloves boots and pants
40:10with art intensity glyphs for obvious
40:12reasons finally the mutation we're using
40:14is kind of a given we're going with
40:16piercing cold what it does is give Art a
40:19chance to freeze enemies based on your
40:20adrenaline and any enemies that aren't
40:22Frozen will be dealt to massive damage
40:24in addition any enemies that you freeze
40:27and knock down at the same time will die
40:28instantly this build is very strong but
40:31it is a setup centered around very
40:33specific mechanics the distraction you
40:35might run into with the Viper armor is
40:37that anything you can do with this set
40:38can be done better with another set of
40:40Witcher gear the bonuses they come with
40:42that the Viper school lacks just stands
40:44out with any setup you put together just
40:46in terms of stats that's the case but if
40:48you love The Look of the Viper armor
40:49it's very flexible and you'll be just
40:51fine it's not a bad set it's very good
40:53it's just not one to use if you're
40:55looking to push your stats to the max so
40:57let's move on to the Forgotten full set
40:59or the Netflix armor thankfully this is
41:02a pretty straightforward build as the
41:04reason to use this set more or less
41:05comes down to the six piece set bonus
41:07what it does is greatly increase your
41:09art damage when casting the sign on
41:11enemies affected by earden by itself
41:14this set bonus makes art very powerful
41:16but once you've invested in that combo
41:18it becomes kind of ridiculous so first
41:21let's talk about alchemy skills you're
41:23going to need acquired tolerance for
41:25that huge toxicity boost Synergy again
41:27for the mutagen bonuses and for the
41:30purpose of this build I really like
41:31height intolerance there are reasons
41:33height intolerance wasn't included in
41:35the Euphoria builds we already talked
41:36about but here it works really well
41:38because our Alchemy usage is very
41:40specific for signs I of course have
41:42delusion for the speech checks and then
41:44we fully invested in Ard and iriden all
41:47eight skills slotted in the most
41:49essential of those skills that you'll
41:51want to focus on as soon as possible are
41:53Shockwave Ard sweep magic trap and
41:56supercharged glyphs all art and irdan
41:58skills are essential for this build but
42:00of course I have some in my mutagen
42:02bonus spots because those are freed up
42:04for blue skills now I've also invested a
42:07bit in Sword damage and adrenaline this
42:09will give you some fun gameplay variety
42:11so you're not only spamming the erden
42:13combo which I found extremely boring and
42:15one-dimensional by itself swordplay will
42:18also give you some adrenaline which is
42:19essential for the piercing cold mutation
42:21insta kills this part of the setup is
42:23really simple you'll just want to use
42:25muscle memory for the fast attack damage
42:27precise blows for the crit chance and
42:29razor Focus for the free adrenaline
42:31point when combat begins finally of
42:34course you'll need to be running Griffin
42:35School techniques for the stamina and
42:37sine intensity boosts now our armor
42:39enchantment is extremely important for
42:42this build you're going to want to
42:43upgrade your armor from the Rune right
42:45with entanglement what this glyph word
42:47does is cast a free eared and trap every
42:49single time the alternate version of
42:50iridin connects with an enemy one of the
42:52erden skills we're running is called
42:54Magic trap instead of tapping your cast
42:56you hold down and place a different form
42:58of iridin that saves enemies and with
43:00entanglement every zap will place a free
43:02standard erden trap which plays into the
43:04set bonus we'll be talking more about in
43:06a second for your extra glyph slots on
43:08your boots pants and gloves just stock
43:10up with clips of ARD for obvious reasons
43:12for your swords because I like this
43:14build to be somewhat balanced between
43:16swords and signs I like to run
43:18preservation for the armor and sword
43:20buff this enchantment makes the
43:21grindstone and armor table Buffs
43:23permanent so your armor protection will
43:25be buffed by 20 permanently and your
43:27sword damage will receive the same
43:29treatment you only need this on one
43:31sword to apply to all of your equipment
43:32and I really like fitting this in where
43:34it makes sense for your other sword just
43:36fill it up with vela's runestones to
43:38bump up your sign intensity now we
43:40invested a bit in Alchemy for a very
43:42important reason as this set needs a bit
43:44of help when it comes to stamina this
43:47build gives us enough toxicity to have
43:48two decoctions active with room for
43:50potions your toxicity might vary a
43:53little bit compared to my build just
43:54because I have all diagrams discovered
43:56for acquired tolerance but if you've
43:58been exploring you should have plenty
44:00the number one decoction you need to
44:02have active at all times is ancient
44:04leshen what it does is increase your
44:06stamina regeneration AKA what you use to
44:09cast signs every time you cast a sign it
44:12resets with every fight but it works
44:13very quickly after you've cast iron and
44:16art a few times your stamina regen will
44:18improve dramatically and you'll be able
44:20to start spamming that combo you'll also
44:22want to be running echidnotic oxygen and
44:24what this does is heal you every time
44:26you use stamina this more or less makes
44:28healing potions in this build completely
44:30unnecessary so you can focus on other
44:33potions the priorities should be Tawny
44:35owl which gives you a flat increase to
44:37your stamina regen and I am also very
44:39fond of maribor forest which increases
44:42adrenaline gain and equally important
44:43gives you a free point upon consumption
44:46adrenaline is so fun and necessary in
44:48this build because it directly
44:49influences our mutation piercing cold
44:52this is an hard Focus mutation that
44:54dramatically increases the damage of Ard
44:55while also giving it a freeze effect and
44:58any enemies that are both Frozen and
44:59knocked down will just die
45:00instantaneously now adrenaline is so
45:03important because the more you have the
45:05higher your chance of applying freeze
45:07leading to a higher chance of you
45:08getting an insta kill it should be
45:10pointed out that freezing cold is
45:11excellent even without any adrenaline as
45:14enemies that aren't Frozen still take
45:15massive damage from the base mutation
45:17which works very well with the six piece
45:19forgotten wolf bonus but the insta kills
45:21and freeze are what makes piercing cold
45:23so fun and that's what I want to stress
45:25here this build is really fun while also
45:28being really good your iridin plus art
45:30combo is the star of the show but by
45:33investing a bit in the combat tree our
45:34swords are also quite strong and this
45:36build doesn't become totally
45:38one-dimensional when you start a fight
45:40just place an alternate iridon trap
45:41that'll zap your opponents and place
45:43regular traps and then you're free to
45:45spam R to any enemies within irden while
45:47also sneaking in some sword damage to
45:48further build up that adrenaline which
45:50can't be done with signs without a
45:52specific upgrade that isn't really worth
45:54it at all keep in mind those decoctions
45:56I mentioned are extremely important but
45:58if you look looking for a fun build I'd
46:00say this is right up there with wolf and
46:02Griffin okay finally we're on to
46:04Manticore and this is the part of the
46:06video I was dreading because at this
46:07point I've already covered similar
46:09builds with Euphoria two and a half
46:11times but Manticore just works so well
46:13with euphoria that I need to do it again
46:15because this is strictly a near-end game
46:18build you can't even get the Manticore
46:20set until blood and wine I'm gonna run
46:22through this setup fairly quickly it's
46:24very similar to the cat Euphoria setup I
46:26put together earlier with a few key
46:28differences the main one being that here
46:30we've invested in both fast and strong
46:32attacks my combat skills are very
46:35straightforward for fast attacks we've
46:37upgraded muscle memory for the damage as
46:39well as precise blows for the critical
46:41hits and for strong attacks we've taken
46:44both strength training and crushing
46:45blows for the same reasons we're also
46:48using both whirl and Rend as each are
46:50essential for a manticore setup that is
46:52trying to maximize damage while also
46:54having a reasonable amount of gameplay
46:56variety you're also going to need razor
46:58Focus for a free adrenaline point when
47:00entering combat and resolve to ensure
47:03you don't lose any adrenaline when you
47:04take a hit which you otherwise would
47:06moving over to the general skill section
47:08we're of course taking cat School
47:10techniques for the huge critical hit and
47:12fast attack bonuses if you're confused
47:15I'll explain in a second and also we're
47:17gonna want metabolic control for this
47:19build this just raises our toxicity AKA
47:22how many potions and decoctions you can
47:24drink by 30 points which is going to be
47:26extremely helpful in playing into our
47:28mutation in the Alchemy tree the two
47:30most important skills you need are going
47:32to be acquired tolerance and Synergy I'm
47:35also going to include the bonus mutation
47:37spots right here because this is a
47:40near-end game build but keep in mind
47:41that the last two Alchemy skills are
47:43your lowest priority if you don't have
47:45those two final spots open yet Synergy
47:48is more or less always essential in
47:50every build as it dramatically increases
47:52the attack power you'll be getting from
47:53mutagens and acquired tolerance is going
47:56to give you a huge toxicity upgrade just
47:58just how dramatic of an upgrade it will
48:00be depends on how much you've been
48:01exploring and discovering Alchemy
48:03recipes but if you've been clearing out
48:05most question marks then there isn't a
48:06better skill investment you can make
48:08also required for this build is Fast
48:10Metabolism this is going to make your
48:13potion toxicity drop rapidly if you're
48:15confused about the difference between
48:16potion toxicity and decoction toxicity
48:19go to the timestamp on your screen as I
48:21explain that in detail during the CAT
48:23Euphoria section for the final two
48:25skills in your bonus spots I really like
48:27killing spree and Hunter Instinct
48:29Killing Spree just dramatically
48:31increases your crit chance for every
48:32enemy you kill it resets every fight but
48:35the increase is 30 percent per kill so
48:37you can quickly be getting guaranteed
48:39crits as our chance is already solid
48:41Hunter Instinct increases your crit
48:43damage by 100 when your adrenaline meter
48:45is full which won't be a tall task with
48:48this build for our equipment again very
48:51straightforward from the Rune right
48:52you'll want Severance on each of your
48:54swords which dramatically increases the
48:56range of whirl and Rend by the way you
48:59do not need to be using the full set
49:01with this build the six piece Manticore
49:03bonus is completely unnecessary so be
49:05sure to use errandite once you get your
49:07hands on it your steel sword can be
49:09whatever you like but keep in mind that
49:10the Manticore steel is already excellent
49:13anyway you'll also need to enchant your
49:15armor with levity I've talked about
49:17levity many many times already this
49:19glyph word turns your medium Manticore
49:21armor into light armor that means faster
49:23stamina regen and equally important the
49:26ability to benefit from the cat School
49:27techniques perk for the extra glyph
49:29openings on your boots pants and gloves
49:31I personally just prefer to use a few
49:33quen glyphs our sign intensity with this
49:36build is actually really solid because
49:37of the mutation we'll be using but we're
49:39mostly focused on sword damage so I
49:41mostly stick to quen extra intensity
49:44means it'll tank a bit of extra damage
49:45and there really isn't a home run glyph
49:48option here our mutation is of course
49:50Euphoria despite it being nerfed a bit
49:52with the next-gen update it's still
49:54undeniably one of the strongest
49:56mutations in the game as what it does is
49:58Inc increase your sword damage and sign
50:00intensity depending on how high your
50:02toxicity is this build allows for very
50:04high toxicity which translates to
50:07extremely high damage with this exact
50:10build your toxicity may still vary a bit
50:12from mine because of the acquired
50:13tolerance perk if you're missing some
50:15alchemy formulas it'll be a bit lower
50:17than what I have going on I can drink
50:19four decoctions and still have room for
50:21potions Fast Metabolism rapidly gets rid
50:24of the potion toxicity for me which
50:26means every few seconds I can pop
50:27another if I need to my decoctions of
50:30choice are troll for constant health
50:32regen catacan for a flat increase to my
50:34crit chance Echidna for health regen
50:37whenever using stamina and ekamara
50:39decoction so any damage ideal to enemies
50:41heals me I talk a little more in depth
50:43about each of these decoctions in the
50:45cat section but the most important thing
50:47that needs to be said is that troll is
50:49absolutely essential the constant health
50:51regen from that decoction cancels out
50:53any damage you'd otherwise take from
50:55high toxicity that means we can max out
50:57our toxicity bar with no no negative
50:59consequences as the higher our current
51:01toxicity the higher our damage from
51:03Euphoria the others I've chosen are more
51:06personal preference but focusing in on
51:08healing and crit damage means we don't
51:10have to worry about healing potions and
51:12can fully focus on the ones that
51:13increase our other stats for me I love
51:16Thunderbolt for the extra attack power
51:18meaning higher damage and marabore
51:20forest for the free adrenaline point and
51:22increased adrenaline gain you'll also
51:24want to be running Tawny owl for faster
51:27stamina regen you can have so many
51:29potions active with this build at once
51:31you can more or less drink whatever you
51:32want whenever you want occasionally you
51:35may have to wait two seconds for Fast
51:36Metabolism to do its thing but really
51:38you're free to pop potions to your
51:40heart's desire when it comes to sword
51:42damage this build is just great at
51:44absolutely everything Rend is gonna
51:46One-Shot just about anything when
51:47charged up your Critical Hits are going
51:49to be outputting some ridiculous numbers
51:51whirl will take care of any groups and
51:53all around there's just no going wrong
51:55here you're going to be constantly
51:57regenerating Health without even needing
51:58to think think about it and the
51:59Manticore set offers very solid
52:01protection to begin with well that does
