00:00yo what's up chefs this video is going
00:03to teach you everything you need to know
00:05about stats and gear to start building
00:08your own bis kits for whatever class
00:10you're playing I've broken it down into
00:12four sections and you can find the
00:14chapters below without further Ado let's
00:16get into it getting things started with
00:19the first section we're going to be
00:20covering the basics of gear all gear has
00:23different base stats such as riveted
00:26gloves with armor and strength the
00:28adventurer tunic with armor max health
00:31and minus move speed or even dark
00:33leather leggings that have armor minus
00:35move speed and instead of something like
00:37strength or Max Health replace that with
00:41resist furthermore as the Rarity of the
00:44item increases so will the base stats
00:47let's use riveted gloves as an example
00:49junk quality has one strength common has
00:52two uncommon three rare four epic five
00:58and finally legendary with six in
01:01addition to base stats uncommon quality
01:03gear and above will begin to have random
01:06modifiers as the Rarity of the item
01:08increases the number of modifiers goes
01:11up as well for example uncommon items
01:13have one rare items have two and epic
01:16items have three in very rare cases
01:19there are exceptions to this with
01:21crafted gear that tend to have one extra
01:23modifier than what their Rarity would
01:26indicate finally some random modifiers
01:30can only be found on specific types of
01:32gear such as additional move speed
01:36arguably the best random modifier in the
01:38game can only be found on boots making
01:40light foot boots with this modifier very
01:43valuable true physical damage another
01:46great modifier can only be found on
01:53necklaces and finally gloves and these
01:56are just some examples but in the next
01:59section where I Define each modifier I
02:01will also include what items they can be
02:04on that's going to conclude the basics
02:07of gear now that you have a solid
02:09understanding of how gear Works let's
02:11move on to section two where I cover and
02:14Define each random modifier as well as
02:16the items they can be found
02:20on moving on to section two random
02:23modifiers I want to briefly say that
02:25there is a ludicrous amount of
02:27information on this topic and I'm going
02:29to do my best to cover as much of it as
02:31possible but there is ample room for
02:33error so if you notice that I missed a
02:35stat or explained something improperly
02:38please respectfully correct me in the
02:39comments below to help ensure any new
02:42players get the proper understanding
02:44with that out of the way I'm going to
02:45start off with the main attributes so
02:47grab some popcorn or your favorite
02:49snacky sit back and enjoy first up is
02:53strength your strength stat increases
02:55your physical power and Max Health to
02:57elaborate each point of strength gives
02:59you you one point of physical power
03:01which translates into physical damage
03:03bonus on a scaling curve additionally
03:06each point of strength gives you roughly
03:09.25 Max Health equating four strength to
03:13HP Vigor your Vigor stat increases your
03:17max health and health recovery each
03:19point of vigor gives you roughly two Max
03:21health health recovery affects the rate
03:24at which you restore gray Health while
03:26resting and this scales with a curve
03:28that resembles a mixture between an S
03:30curve and a logarithmic curve agility
03:33your agility stat increases action speed
03:36move speed and interaction speed agility
03:39increases your action speed relatively
03:41minimally with 25% scaling each point of
03:44agility after 15 gives you 75 movement
03:48speed and finally agility increases your
03:51regular interaction speed with 40%
03:54scaling dexterity your dexterity stat
03:57increases action speed manual dexterity
04:00and item equip speed your dexterity has
04:02a 75% scaling towards action speed item
04:06equip speed is rather self-explanatory
04:08and manual dexterity is the speed at
04:12instruments will I'm not joking your
04:16will stat determines seven other stats
04:19so I won't touch on them all at this
04:20moment but most importantly it
04:22determines your magical damage bonus
04:24magic resistance which translates to
04:26Magic damage reduction and finally your
04:30durations knowledge knowledge governs
04:33spellcasting speed memory capacity and
04:36memory recovery your knowledge increases
04:38spellcasting speed on a logarithmic
04:40curve meaning the curve is steep at
04:42first and flattens out over time so the
04:44earlier points of knowledge are the most
04:46important here memory capacity
04:49determines the amount of spells or songs
04:51for Bard that you'll be able to properly
04:53use in game and finally memory recovery
04:57determines how quickly you recover your
05:00ing resourcefulness resourcefulness
05:03increases interaction speed cool down
05:05reduction and persuasiveness
05:07resourcefulness increases your
05:09interaction speed with a 60% scaling
05:12each point of resourcefulness from 0 to
05:1420 increases your cooldown reduction by
05:162% starting at -30% so at 20
05:20resourcefulness you'll have 10% CDR and
05:23each point after that up to 50 increases
05:25it by 1% so at 50 resourcefulness you
05:28would be at 40% CDR creating a
05:31logarithmic curve persuasiveness
05:33determines the duration of BS songs and
05:35debuffs in a very complicated way so
05:39just know that the more resourcefulness
05:40you have the longer your Buffs and
05:42debuffs will last on
05:45average moving on I'm going to be
05:47defining the random modifiers that can
05:49be found on gear excluding the main
05:52attributes going to be doing these in
05:54alphabetical order and applying a
05:56generalized ranking to them where D is
05:58the worst and s is is the best however
06:01just because I rank a stat as s doesn't
06:03necessarily mean it's good for your
06:05build or class so make sure to stick
06:08around for section three where I go over
06:09the best stats for each class
06:12individually if you want to know what
06:14items a particular random modifier can
06:16roll on then the easiest way to do so is
06:18to go into the marketplace choose the
06:20stat in the random modifier filter and
06:22then open the slot filter to see what
06:28on first up is action speed action speed
06:31is your attack and block
06:34speed additional magic damage this is
06:37additional damage added into the magic
06:39damage calculation to elaborate this is
06:41affected by the target's magical damage
06:43reduction and other multipliers such as
06:47damage additional memory capacity this
06:50is additional capacity to slot spells or
06:53songs for bard additional move speed
06:56this is a flat increase to your
07:00additional physical damage additional
07:02damage added into the physical damage
07:04calculation to elaborate this works the
07:07same way as additional magic damage as
07:08it is affected by the target's physical
07:10damage reduction and limb or headshot
07:13multipliers one benefit this stat has
07:15over true damage is it does apply to
07:18physical damage skills such as rupture
07:20whereas true damage does
07:22not additional weapon damage this is an
07:25addition to the base damage of your
07:27weapon to elaborate this goes at the
07:29beginning of the damage calculation
07:31meaning it is affected by your physical
07:33damage bonus stat which makes it very
07:35good for characters with high
07:37strength armor penetration this is a
07:40percentage reduction of the target's
07:42physical damage reduction to elaborate
07:44if you have 10% armor penetration and
07:47the Target has 50% PDR then you will be
07:50ignoring 5% PDR which makes this stat
07:53mainly effective against High PDR
07:55targets armor rating a flat increase to
07:59your armor which translates to physical
08:02reduction buff duration bonus a
08:04percentage increase to the duration of
08:06Buffs applied to your character to be
08:09clear this is not Buffs that you apply
08:11to others debuff duration bonus a
08:15percentage increase to the duration of
08:17debuffs applied to your
08:20character luck a rather ausc increase to
08:23your chances of finding higher quality
08:25items I have a video where I compiled
08:27over 400 luck and did a thorough test
08:30and did not find a drastically
08:32noticeable difference in the quality of
08:35received magic penetration a percentage
08:38reduction of the target's magical damage
08:40reduction this stat operates the same
08:43way as armor penetration but for Magical
08:48calculations magic resistance a flat
08:51increase to your magic resist which
08:53translates to magical damage
08:56reduction magical damage bonus this is a
08:59flat increase to your magical power
09:00bonus stat to elaborate one point of
09:03will after 15 translates to roughly
09:072.25% of magical damage bonus and
09:10multiple other stats so will is usually
09:13better additionally each point of magic
09:16power also translates to roughly 2.25%
09:19magical damage bonus also making it more
09:23typically magical damage reduction a
09:26flat increase to your percentage of
09:28magical damage redu uction to elaborate
09:31magic resist scales your magical damage
09:33reduction on a curve whereas magical
09:35damage reduction is always just a flat
09:38increase to the percentage of magical
09:40damage that you ignore making it more or
09:43less valuable depending on what part of
09:45the magic resist scaling curve you are
09:48on magical healing this is a flat
09:51increase to everything counted as
09:53magical healing to elaborate magical
09:56healing is utilized by cleric spells
09:58warlocks torture Mastery healing potions
10:01and trolls blood however all of these
10:04different things have individual scaling
10:06amounts with magical healing lesser heal
10:09from cleric to my understanding scales
10:11at a 1:1 ratio whereas warlock's torture
10:14Mastery scales at a 1 2.1 Ratio or
10:1910% magical interaction speed this
10:22affects the speed at which the player
10:24interacts with magical items to my
10:27understanding This only affects the
10:28speed at which you interact with shrines
10:30and portals making it not very useful
10:33and more so just convenient at times
10:36magical power this is a flat increase to
10:39your magical power stat which translates
10:41to magical damage bonus each point of
10:44magical power roughly translates to
10:472.25% magical damage
10:50bonus Max Health this is a flat increase
10:53to your character's maximum HP pool Max
10:57Health bonus this is a percent
10:59percentage increase to your character's
11:00maximum HP pool to elaborate if you have
11:03100 maximum health and you get 1.5% Max
11:07Health bonus on a piece of gear it is
11:09giving you an effective 1.5 extra Max
11:13Health memory capacity bonus this is a
11:16percentage increase to your total memory
11:19capacity move speed bonus this is a flat
11:22increase to your percentage move speed
11:25bonus to elaborate 300 flat move speed
11:28is a equivalent to 100% move speed bonus
11:32meaning 330 flat move speed which is the
11:34cap is 110% move speed bonus so in
11:38essence 1% move speed bonus always
11:41translates to a flat three move speed
11:44and is not affected by whatever your
11:46current move speed is getting this and
11:50plus additional move speed on your boots
11:55B physical damage bonus this is a flat
11:58inre increase to your percentage
12:00physical damage bonus stat to elaborate
12:03every point of physical power over 15
12:06and Below 50 is equivalent to 1%
12:09physical damage bonus but usually
12:12physical power rolls higher making it
12:15preferred physical damage reduction this
12:18is a flat increase to your percentage
12:20physical damage reduction this is the
12:23physical damage counterpart of magical
12:25damage reduction so similarly armor
12:27rating translates to this stat on a
12:29scaling curve whereas this is always
12:32just a flat increase to the percentage
12:34of physical damage that you
12:36ignore physical healing this is a flat
12:39increase to everything counted as
12:41physical healing to elaborate physical
12:44healing is utilized by campfire kits
12:46Bard's Jolly Time perk Rangers Field
12:49ration skill and I believe bandages but
12:53I'm not 100% sure on the bandages part
12:56keep in mind each of these can have
12:58their own individual ual scaling amount
13:01physical power this is a flat increase
13:03to your physical power stat which
13:05translates to physical damage bonus to
13:08elaborate every point of physical power
13:10over 15 and under 50 translates to
13:13precisely 1% of physical damage
13:16bonus projectile damage reduction this
13:19is a flat increase to the percentage of
13:21projectile damage you ignore to
13:24elaborate projectile damage can come in
13:26the form of magical damage such as ice
13:28Bolt from Wizards or physical damage
13:30such as arrows from a ranger so while
13:32I'm not entirely sure of the calculation
13:35I do know that if you have a lot of PDR
13:37and a good amount of projectile
13:39reduction you'll be taking very little
13:41damage from arrows because in some way
13:44shape or form they play off of each
13:45other additively I believe in addition
13:49in addition to that since it crosses the
13:51boundary of physical and magical damage
13:53it can be quite useful in that regard
13:56regular interaction speed this affects
13:59the speed at which the player interacts
14:01with most items to elaborate this
14:03affects the speed at which you open
14:04doors chests interact with the gold pile
14:07Etc so while it's not the most useful
14:10stat in the game by any means it can
14:12help you loot quicker and open and close
14:14doors quicker which definitely has a
14:17solid use case spell casting speed this
14:21is a flat increase to the percentage
14:23increase at which you cast spells to
14:26elaborate if a spell takes 1 second to
14:28cast and you have 50% spell casting
14:30speed you will Now cast that spell in
14:32half a second however every point of
14:35knowledge over 20 and under 50
14:38translates to 2.5% spellcasting speed
14:41meaning you would normally prefer to
14:44knowledge true magical damage this is
14:48additional magic damage added into the
14:50end of the magic damage calculation to
14:53elaborate this functions similarly to
14:55additional magic damage but it ignores
14:58any magical damage introduction that the
14:59target may have and additionally any
15:02limb or head shot modifiers as well this
15:05means that it will always be a flat one
15:07damage increase to your magical damage
15:10calculations the only instance where
15:12this is less effective than additional
15:14magic damage is if you're hitting
15:16someone in the head with a spell that
15:18has a low magical damage
15:20reduction true physical damage this is
15:23additional physical damage added into
15:25the end of the physical damage
15:27calculation to elaborate this functions
15:29similarly to additional physical damage
15:32but it ignores any physical damage
15:33reduction that the target may have and
15:35additionally any limb or headshot
15:37modifiers as well this means that it
15:40will always be a flat one damage
15:42increase to your physical damage
15:43calculations the only instance where
15:45this is less effective than additional
15:47physical damage is if you're hitting
15:49someone in the head with an attack that
15:50has low physical damage
15:54reduction all righty now that we've
15:56defined all of the random mod firers
15:59let's hop into section three where I'll
16:01be outlining some of the best ones for
16:03each class individually keep in mind
16:05that this will primarily be tailored to
16:07solo play and as such solo builds but
16:10will be largely applicable to Duos and
16:12trios as well also just to be clear
16:16these are in no particular order and are
16:20good starting things off with the Slayer
16:24Fighter the fighter is going to want
16:26additional move speed true physical
16:28damage damage strength Vigor dexterity
16:33Max Health armor rating and additional
16:39Barbarian the Barbarian is going to want
16:42add move speed true physical damage
16:45strength Vigor dexterity Max Health add
16:49weapon damage and Max Health
16:51bonus following that is the
16:55Rogue the Rogue is going to want
16:57additional move speed true physical
16:59damage strength Vigor Max health and add
17:06damage next up the ranger the ranger is
17:09going to want add move speed move speed
17:12bonus true physical damage strength
17:16agility add weapon damage and physical
17:19power next is the wizard The Wizard is
17:22going to want add move speed true
17:25magical damage knowledge agility will
17:29magical power and Max Health if you can
17:31afford it following that is the solo SL
17:35Paladin cleric the Paladin cleric is
17:37going to want add move speed armor
17:40rating bger true physical damage
17:43strength true magical damage Max health
17:50will moving on we have The Bard The Bard
17:53is going to want add move speed true
17:55physical damage strength vigor dexterity
18:00agility Max health and armor rating next
18:04we have the torture Mastery Warlock the
18:06Warlock is going to want add move speed
18:09move speed bonus true magical damage
18:12magical healing knowledge will figure
18:17and Max health and finally we have the
18:20Druid the Druid is the most recent class
18:22release so take this with a grain of
18:24salt and this is subject to change but
18:26you're going to want add move speed true
18:29physical damage strength dexterity Vigor
18:33Max health and armor
18:37rating now that we've covered the best
18:40stats for each class let's hop into the
18:42last section where I'm going to be
18:43building a full bar kit using the
18:45marketplace so you can see how I like to
18:47build kits and get a good understanding
18:49of it yourself as well most of this
18:52would also be translatable to fighter
18:54Barbarian Ranger Rogue and Druid
18:57although not a one toone match of course
19:00this kit is going to be mostly green
19:02items so it should be relatively budget
19:05but don't be fooled a full kit of green
19:08items with the proper roles will
19:10absolutely smoke a player running a full
19:12kit of Blues and purples with random
19:14rolls I promise you that also this may
19:17not be 100% optimized since a perfectly
19:20optimized kit is going to be subjective
19:23but it should be at least 95% plus
19:26sure all right hopping into into it as
19:29you can see we are completely naked so
19:31we're going to head over to the
19:32marketplace and especially if it's your
19:33first time building a kit a really easy
19:35way to get started is to set the random
19:37modifier filter to True damage and then
19:40start with those items since you almost
19:43them so I decided to start off with
19:46rings and I prioritized the rings of
19:48Vitality because I really like Max
19:50health and vigor isn't going to be a
19:51base stat on many of my other items as
20:04next I moved on to getting my cloak
20:06which I chose to go with a Mercurial one
20:07for the dexterity base St since I wanted
20:09to make sure I got somewhere close to 30
20:12decks once the kit was done so I knew I
20:14would probably need it on the cloak I
20:17obviously wanted true physical damage on
20:18it and spent a little bit of time seeing
20:20if there was anything cheap that had a
20:22good secondary stat and eventually just
20:24ended up adding Max Health to the
20:26filters and getting what I consider to
20:27be a relatively this blue Rarity
20:52cloak following that I decided to
20:54purchase my necklace and once again I
20:56knew I wanted true physical damage but
20:58currently the best way to get TR Fizz on
21:00your neck is to go for a frost amulet
21:02which actually has it as a base stat and
21:04can go all the way up to plus4 on a
21:06legendary version and can't roll it as a
21:09random modifier however if you chose a
21:11different necklace it can only roll up
21:13to plus one as a random
21:15modifier I also ended up adding Max
21:18Health as a random modifier for this and
21:20then searched for the cheapest one that
21:22had a somewhat useful secondary stat
21:24since anything with a really useful
21:25second stat would likely be very
21:49after acquiring the necklace and quickly
21:51equipping all the purchased items so far
21:53the only remaining item that can have
21:55true physical damage to get is my gloves
21:57and I chose to go for a nice cheap pair
21:59of reinforced gloves since once again I
22:01value the max health and this would be
22:02the only other item I ended up getting
22:04bigger as a base stat
22:11on after that it was time for my helmet
22:14and I prefer the straw hat for its
22:15strength base stat and because I find
22:17it's a lot cheaper to go for reinforced
22:19Gloves Plus a straw hat rather than
22:21riveted gloves and a leather cap since
22:23the leather cap can be used by all
22:25classes and is very sought after by
22:27Slayer Fighters so this way you get the
22:29same base stats for quite a bit
22:32cheaper also the reason why I went for
22:34Vigor instead of Max Health as the
22:36random modifier is because on smaller
22:38items like the helmet Max Health can
22:40only roll up to plus three compared to
22:42on a chest piece or pants where it can
22:44roll up to plus six but the amount of
22:47vigor that can roll is the same on both
22:49types at plus two which is equivalent to
22:51four Max health so generally as a rule
22:54of thumb getting attributes is better on
22:56smaller items and getting quot unquote
22:59substats is better on bigger
23:04items for my chest piece I wanted to go
23:07with a Wanderer attire for the dexterity
23:09base St and as you can see I opt to go
23:11for Max Health on this item as opposed
23:13to Vigor like I did on the helmet I also
23:16ended up deciding to Shell out a little
23:17extra coins to get one with strength and
23:19Max Health which is quite nice
23:29after that I exit the market to just
23:30take a quick glance at my stat layout to
23:32determine exactly what I want to get for
23:34my last items however I knew I would
23:36definitely be wanting a pair of light
23:38foot boots with additional move speed no
23:39matter what and the amount of move speed
23:41I ended up having with those boots would
23:43help me better choose what type of pants
23:47well and if you're staying relatively
23:49budget I recommend looking for a pair of
23:51greens with plus five or a pair of Blues
23:54with plus four and an additional
23:56somewhat useful stat since the total
23:58move speed ends up being the same either
24:10way here I just quickly check what my
24:12move speed ends up being now that I've
24:14got the boots equipped and ultimately I
24:16was deciding between either padded
24:17leggings for the Vigor based Stat or
24:20cloth pants for the dexterity I really
24:22wanted to stay as close to 305 move
24:24speed as possible though and I was
24:25exactly four dexterity away from 30
24:28which is is my sweet spot so I decided
24:30to go for the cloth pants in the end the
24:32random modifiers I were looking for were
24:34the same as my chest piece which was
24:35strength and Max heal
25:13now that I had all of the gear out of
25:15the way it was time to look for my
25:17weapons now this may be a little weird
25:19to some people but I've really been
25:20enjoying Rond Del dagger barred recently
25:23for a number of reasons such as being
25:25able to effectively fight in doorways
25:27and a little bit less move speed penalty
25:29especially now that the Rapier has been
25:31bumped up to minus5 speed total the
25:34random modifiers I believe to be the
25:36best are add weapon damage and Max
25:38health so that's what I looked
25:43for next up was the buckler which if you
25:46want to get a rare one I think the best
25:47stats are either armor rating and add
25:49weapon damage or armor rating and
25:52physical damage reduction ultimately the
25:54add weapon damage version seemed pretty
25:56cheap so I just went with that
26:12and finally you'll never catch me
26:13playing Bard without a survival bow at
26:15this point it still seems to be insanely
26:17strong even after the true physical
26:19damage Nerfs from about a week ago so I
26:21decided to go for an epic one because I
26:23know they are pretty cheap and the
26:24important stat to look for is plus two
26:26additional weapon damage anything else
26:29like physical power or physical damage
26:31bonus are the icing on the cake though
26:33you shouldn't be concerned with
26:34something like Max Health however
26:35because you will only get the stats of
26:37weapons while they are in your hands and
26:39you really shouldn't be getting hit too
26:41often while you've got your survival bow
26:42out so all damage stats is the way to go
26:57here at at this point the kit is
26:59complete and as you can see the stats
27:01are looking pretty crispy as far as the
27:03important stats go we have 21 strength
27:0520 Vigor 13 Agy but our move speed is
27:08still high 30 dexterity which is right
27:11on the money for a budget kit and all of
27:13those attributes will be increased by
27:15two with our rousing rhythms buff in
27:17game we've also got 146 HP which will be
27:21149 with the weapons out since we got
27:23plus three max Health on the dagger and
27:25it'll actually be 14 154 is due to the
27:28extra Vigor and strength we get with the
27:30rousing rhythms we've got 304 move speed
27:33which will be 315 with full song Buffs
27:3611% action speed which will be close to
27:3921% with full Buffs finally we've got
27:4216.6 PDR which will go up to about 23%
27:46with the buckler in hand and fully
27:48buffed but in a perfect world I would
27:50like that number to be a little higher
27:52but that's going to be kind of hard to
27:54do without upgrading to more epic items
27:56and getting plus armor rating as the
27:57third stat which will legit break the
28:00bank ultimately though this kit is an
28:02absolute Powerhouse and you'd be a
28:04menace in the dungeons if you ran this
28:06exact kit so I can't say I'd really
28:09change anything about it especially for
28:11the price coming in at right around
28:134,000 gold give or take anyways though
28:16that's going to wrap up the video I hope
28:18you guys learned something new and were
28:19able to enjoy the process along the way
28:22this was easily the hardest video I've
28:24ever made by a legit Country Mile and
28:26took me probably 15 15 to 16 hours to
28:29accumulate all of the information and
28:31then edit slre it but I'm really happy
28:34with how it turned out if you've got a
28:36spare moment make sure to hit that sub
28:37button we're almost to 1,000 Subs which
28:39is absolutely crazy and it's all thanks
28:43guys and last but not least take it easy
28:55chefs as you fade away
