00:11pugsy or even socket well if you did
00:14that's amazing but there are so many
00:16great games on a lot of consoles that no
00:18one ever talks about so in this video
00:19covering a ton of games on the shga
00:21Genesis that games that just no one ever
00:23talks about him how are you feeling you

00:50first game I want to talk about is a
00:51game called Bubba and sticks now this
00:54game looks like that kind of Animation
00:57that you wouldn't see on the USA channel
00:59or even Fox network but like one of the
01:01other obscure channels would have like
01:03cartoons that looked like they were made
01:05in like macr media flash back in the day
01:07but this game looks like a cartoon you
01:09play a guy named Bubba and you have a
01:11stick which is your spear which you can
01:14use to attack enemies you can use it to
01:16uh plop in the wall here to give
01:18yourself extra leverage it flies out and
01:20comes right back to you as needed you
01:22can also just use it to swack enemies
01:23and stuff like that too it reminds me of
01:25I'm sure there's a name for it excuse me
01:27for my ignorance of not knowing the name
01:29of the arrow that the one guy has in
01:32Guardians of the Galaxy where he
01:33whistles and it kind of flies around and
01:35stuff a little bit like that and this
01:36came out way before that actually I
01:38don't know when the comic book came out
01:39but if you're looking for a great kind
01:40of platformer you like the action games
01:42on the Sega Genesis you thought you've
01:44seen them all you thought you've played
01:45them all but have you rented them all
01:47well you know gone over the days of just
01:48renting games you can play these games
01:50by any means necessary Bubba and sticks
01:52is definitely one you want to look out
01:54for cheeky cheeky boys just sounds
01:56Japanese doesn't it you'd figure a game
01:58called like cheeky cheeky Boys in Japan
02:01would come out in the United States as
02:02like Knights of the children's Republic
02:05know I don't have a clue fun game though
02:08if you like that style of monster boy
02:12then this game is exactly what you're
02:14looking for if you liked Willow in the
02:16arcade I suppose you can throw that in
02:18there too it has that late 80s arcade
02:20feel that Capcom brought to you with
02:23this style a game and you pick up the
02:24coins and you can use the coins to buy
02:26stuff later what a fun game and it's a
02:28game that man nobody ever talks about
02:29but such a great game came out for the
02:31Sega Genesis later is probably why this
02:34was a 93 release I mean if you're
02:36playing you know Sega at the time you
02:38know maybe you're deep into Super
02:39Nintendo at the time but cheeky cheeky
02:40boys definitely worth looking out for
02:42this game's an interesting one I always
02:43come back to it even though I'm not
02:45great at it but I loved the concept of
02:47Cyborg Justice you can create your own
02:50character in a way what kind of what
02:51kind of hand do you want what kind of
02:53body or torso do you want what kind of
02:54legs do you want well that's going to
02:56help you in the battles however you like
02:57to fight however you like to battle and
03:00then it turns into a sides scrolling
03:01beatab up anyway like you just you walk
03:04a little bit you got to fight an enemy
03:05before you move on you got to walk a
03:06little bit more then you got to fight
03:07another enemy before you move on well
03:09Double Dragon did this Golden Axe did
03:11this a lot of games did this and Cyborg
03:13Justice did it but you can create your
03:14own character how cool is that dragon
03:16fury is that pinball style of game that
03:20you wouldn't hear the Fanboys of turbog
03:23graphic 16 shut up about now trust me I
03:24had a TR graphic 16 as well an alien
03:26Crush Devil's Crush amazing you're like
03:28oh man I don't have a her graphic 16 I
03:30can't be a part of that well you can
03:32with dragon's fury it's just like those
03:34games it's got to be made by the same
03:35company in some like whoever programmed
03:37or whoever you know whoever was the
03:39developer or something it's exactly that
03:41style of game multiple levels of video
03:43pinball I am a huge fan of video pinball
03:46I can't tell you why I just love it and
03:48it was just nice to see because it has
03:49kind of the creepy elements that's one
03:51of the things that Genesis would provide
03:52that most Nintendo games wouldn't even
03:54has little side rooms where you might
03:56have to accomplish a task and the art is
03:58really cool in this game there's like
04:00even like boss battles to an extent but
04:02it's all done through video pinball
04:04dragon's Fury look out for it what about
04:07EXO Squad I want to see it was a cartoon
04:09I want to say it was a toy line and then
04:11here we have exo Squad and for the sake
04:13of Genesis this game looks visually cool
04:16in in my opinion now it's not the most
04:19descript of what you're supposed to be
04:20doing but just looks cool and you know
04:22why not fly around hover around a little
04:24bit shoot some enemies out of the sky
04:25Dodge the other stuff out of the sky
04:27sure this is the kind of cartoon I was
04:28talking about when I was talking about
04:30bub and sticks that kind of cartoon that
04:31looks like it was slap Dash with macr
04:34media flash or something back in the day
04:35different game plays too it's not all
04:37that flying around stuff you can also
04:38land on the ground EXO Squad a game that
04:40not a lot of people are talking about
04:41maybe there's a reason why not I don't
04:43know well we have Galahad this is the
04:45legend of Galahad Galahad had to have
04:48come from a UK computer game it just had
04:52to not a terrible game it's not the best
04:54game it's not a great game but Legend of
04:56Galahad I just like the name Galahad
04:58anyway it looks like they kind of game I
04:59would have played for the SGA thises it
05:01doesn't look like the kind of game I
05:02would own but it does look like the kind
05:04of game I would at least rent at least
05:06once for some reason I must have missed
05:07the boat on this one because I didn't
05:09even experience this game until much
05:11later in life but it is that kind of
05:13just walk around and use your sword and
05:15jump around as you will nothing wrong
05:16with that it's my kind of game Legend of
05:18Galahad check it out amazing Saga this
05:21is definitely the kind of game I'm all
05:23about here the original author go Nagi
05:25go I mean sorry go Nagi this is a great
05:28game it's that Sid scroller beat him up
05:30if you love that Golden Axe style you're
05:31going to love this game and has that
05:33enemy element too oh come on now come on
05:36now different types of attacks too if
05:37you keep hitting your button you'll do a
05:38little brush of stabby stabs and all
05:41that sir Shanks a lot over here doing
05:43with the big old sword and stuff like
05:44that as well just cool to see and and
05:46cool to have and you also do have your
05:48there's a like a desperation move I
05:50guess we'll call it you know jump attack
05:52and then your desperation move takes off
05:53a little bit of life but you know if
05:54you're getting ganged up on both sides
05:56sometimes it's worth it just to get it
05:57all out of the way you know what I mean
05:59uh as you can tell just by the gameplay
06:01don't need to talk about this much
06:02further Mason Saga is one that's
06:04definitely worth looking out for this
06:06blew my mind if you're not familiar with
06:08it maybe they'll blow yours too treasure
06:10one of the best companies of all time in
06:11my opinion made a McDonald's game that's
06:14right there's a McDonald's game and it
06:16plays wonderfully this is McDonald's
06:18treasur land Adventure you play as
06:20Ronald McDonald shooting your magic kind
06:22of like a Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
06:24kind of magic whatever you shooting I
06:26don't know you should have at least
06:27tossed french fries or something at the
06:29end I don't know but then you also have
06:30your magical scarf and that's what you
06:32can kind of grapple onto you know the
06:34top things or uh these pulley and stuff
06:36like that too it plays like a great game
06:38it's treasure and treasure makes
06:40wonderful games and this game is no
06:43exception it just looks bright and
06:44colorful and has that Sonic the Hedgehog
06:46kind of feel but it's still its own game
06:48I mean this could have been anything
06:50else you could have played as you know a
06:52teenage boy with Attitude get sucked
06:54into his TV or you could have played as
06:57some magical it doesn't really matter
06:59you play as Ronald McDonald it's amazing
07:01and such a great game it's if you've
07:03seen it conventions you're like h a
07:04Ronald McDonald game whatever for the
07:06sake of Genesis trust me grab it I want
07:09to talk about Outlander just for a
07:11moment again one of those in the
07:12category that's like not the best game
07:14ever but still I think it's worth
07:15mentioning you are behind the wheel of
07:17your car I just thought it looked kind
07:18of cool that you know it's not just
07:19first person perspective as if you were
07:21the hood ornament and see nothing else
07:23but you see the steering wheel and you
07:24see that it um it controls better and
07:26feels better than like hard driving with
07:28the like what two frames a second or
07:30whatever but the good news with this one
07:31is you're also shooting cuz you can
07:32shoot the enemies in front of you and if
07:34they're next to you well then you get
07:37that little side mirror view there when
07:40you're looking out your window you can
07:41shoot the enemies that way too again not
07:43a whole lot I can talk about it beyond
07:44that but Outlander was just unique
07:46enough I do remember rinking this back
07:48in the day thinking like oh that's
07:49that's fun that's that's that's a little
07:51it's like you know something unique
07:52anyway I mentioned pugsy earlier and
07:55pugsy is just an interesting game it's a
07:57cartoony platformer looks has like a
07:59little bit that European style as well
08:00but still unique enough that is worth
08:03checking out interesting how the
08:04controls work you have your jump and
08:05then you have to like hold your button
08:07down to walk into an item to pick it up
08:09and then sometimes you can use it
08:10sometimes you use it to unlock doors
08:12sometimes it's a gun that you can use to
08:14shoot other enemies pugsy is just
08:17interesting enough that makes you want
08:18to keep playing it and it's just the
08:21character looks kind of fun looks looks
08:22kind of cool they could have done
08:23something more with this perhaps but
08:25this this will work this will work
08:27here's another interesting one called
08:28Red Zone I just I was fascinated with
08:31the like the red color in the background
08:32and like the moving Silhouettes at the
08:33title screen then it all Blends in Red
08:36Zone looks cool a later release game for
08:38the Sega Genesis so that's why probably
08:40why not a lot of people talk about it
08:41cuz they just didn't ground around to
08:42play it I I suppose it's another one of
08:44those like over thehead helicopter games
08:47but it has just enough extra stuff to
08:49make it feel a little bit smoother like
08:51this could have been a 32x game at least
08:54like I wouldn't say it could have been a
08:55Sega Saturn game I me I suppose suppose
08:58it could have been sure but it it seemed
08:59like this game did a little bit more
09:01than what a typical Sega Genesis game
09:03typically would do but on a Sega Genesis
09:06cart just just like that the standard
09:09helicopter style you you fly around you
09:11bomb the other stuff you find out where
09:12you're going sure all that the same but
09:15it just looked and felt a little bit
09:17different and that was just different
09:19enough for me to say ooh yeah that very
09:22cool trampoline terror is a game I've
09:24mentioned on this channel before a few
09:25times in the past and I don't know what
09:26I love about this game it's a puzzle
09:27game and I just love it the simple
09:29concept those switches that are on the
09:31ground activate all the switches it
09:33blows up the land you move on to the
09:34next stage TAA you did it but you can
09:37jump in this game and there are
09:38trampolines around there like Mappy the
09:40more you jump on the trampoline you can
09:42only jump on it so many times before it
09:44breaks and you can't jump on it anymore
09:46so these first several stages that I'm
09:49showing you in this video very simple
09:51you know you're just like I got this
09:53this is nothing but it's also like the
09:54adventures of L or some of these other
09:56puzzle games where you're like this is
09:57nothing and then also out of knowwhere
09:59you're like what am I doing this is
10:01insane but it's still a fun game and I I
10:04just love the colors in this one
10:05trampoline Terror if you're looking for
10:07something a little bit more on the uh
10:09you know playful side a little more of
10:10the colorful side for the take Genesis
10:12game man I love this game and maybe you
10:14will too I hope you will Saint sword
10:16from Tito well anything with the word
10:18sword in the title is usually good news
10:19for me and anything Tio is also very
10:21good news for me for the most part um
10:23this is that basic Genesis I don't want
10:25to say basic but I just did anyway so
10:26I'm not going to take it back but just
10:28you know it's that typical Genesis style
10:30Sid scrolling creepy creepies with the
10:33skeletons the gritty Graphics like a r
10:35stand little bit in the way stuff to
10:38explore and all that too I don't know I
10:40I love stuff like this I don't know why
10:41you're always attacking skeletons with
10:43swords though wouldn't a hammer do
10:44better I don't know well here we are all
10:46the same this one's called Saint sword I
10:48guess it wouldn't it called Saint Hammer
10:50if you used a hammer don't worry about
10:51that Saint sword for the Sega Genesis
10:54it's from Tido and it is amazing this
10:56next game is called socket if you
10:58haven't heard of socket yet if you love
11:00Sonic the Hedgehog you're going to love
11:01socket because this is basically Sonic
11:04the Hedgehog let's not make any qualms
11:05about it it it looks like it it plays
11:07like it you can tell it's heavily
11:09inspired by it with a multi-layer
11:10background with how you move with how
11:12you maneuver through the tracks and Laps
11:13and all that too however instead of
11:15rings however instead of the spin dash
11:17and stuff like that the element of you
11:19can you can kick the enemies you you
11:20build up this power stuff I don't know
11:22it was just fun it's just fun you've
11:24already played Sonic the Hedgehog now
11:26play socket why not weapon Lord had to
11:28make the in my opinion anyway just
11:30because it's a game that not a lot of
11:31people talk about it's not a terrible
11:33game definitely not the best fighting
11:35game that they have on the Sega Genesis
11:37um I think Eternal Champions is uh even
11:39better than this however I know it's
11:40funny I'm not I'm really not selling
11:42this game on you I just like don't play
11:45this terrible game no it's not a
11:46terrible game it's just something unique
11:48and it's a game that not a lot of people
11:49talk about and uh there is a love for
11:51this game it's just kind of fun we are
11:53basic 2D fighting style game different
11:55characters have different weapons and
11:57the different characters are creepy
11:59creepy it's what I love about it I've
