00:06hey all saavi here and I know it's been
00:09a minute but today I'm super pumped to
00:11talk about my plans for the upcoming
00:133.25 League start uh and I know what
00:16you're thinking with all the changes to
00:18melee everyone's talking about slam
00:20builds but me personally i' like to take
00:23The Road Less Traveled so for this
00:25league I'm going back to one of the ogs
00:28the Cyclone Slayer and I'm going to put
00:30the PO in the description it includes
00:32the three versions of the build that I
00:34currently have which is a starter a
00:36midgame crit conversion and a very
00:38expensive endgame setup so real quick
00:41just taking a look at the starter setup
00:43we are going for something that is
00:45relatively tanky but also does as much
00:47damage as we can reasonably get uh
00:49considering that we're using Resolute
00:50technique for the defenses we're mostly
00:53going for spell and attack block with
00:56the changes to versatile combatant
00:58instead of it reducing our block chance
01:01down to 50 it reduces it now down to 65
01:04so by taking these clusters over here
01:08for staff as well as using a Ry we can
01:12essentially block cap at 65 which is
01:14really nice for other defenses it's a
01:17Slayer so we're going with leech we're
01:20picking up the 10% instant leech here we
01:23are not going for valve packed um this
01:25is kind of a trap because it doesn't let
01:27you recover life from anything else
01:29besides besides leech which means we
01:31wouldn't benefit from Life regen and
01:34with all of the G gen in the game right
01:35now that's just not a move I want to
01:37make so we're just going to pick up the
01:3910% leech here that's instant um we get
01:43Leech from this wheel as well as this
01:45physical wheel up here so that with life
01:47regen with our spell block with our CA
01:51resistances it should make this build
01:53feel relatively tanky in terms of damage
01:58it's pretty straightforward we just kind
02:00of pick up physical damage clusters like
02:02this one here and this one below um as
02:05well as this cluster over here we are
02:08going to try to play around with the new
02:10rage mechanic so I am picking up this
02:12rage wheel right here to cap rage at 40
02:15as well as nearby enemies are
02:17intimidated uh while you have rage uh
02:20this should just give us a constant uh
02:22set of Rage um while we are
02:26progressing uh through Maps we're going
02:29to be cycloning spinning so we shouldn't
02:31ever really be losing rage um we're also
02:34picking up uh sorry this rage cluster
02:36right here which gives us another six
02:38plus to maximum rage um and more rage
02:41gain so that should be a nice just
02:44static buff to the build that we
02:47have uh and then in terms of Mana cost
02:50for our abilities uh we are using a
02:54crafted AIX right here for -3 to the
02:57total Mana cost as well as the new Mana
02:59clusters right here and here with this
03:03setup it gets us to zero Mana cost on
03:05our Cyclone which is really nice it
03:08means that we can spin to win all day
03:10and not have to worry about the
03:11cost uh yeah looking at the skill setup
03:16it's a your typical impale shock wave
03:19Cyclone we're using Cyclone of toal
03:21because it gives us a wider ra uh radius
03:23on our Cyclone uh as well as more damage
03:26to negate the negative aspect of this
03:30with the ramping uh decrease in movement
03:34speed we're using uh Stampede boots
03:36which just sets our static movement
03:38speed in this case at 50% so we're
03:42always just going to move 50% whether
03:46not we're doing a typical cast when
03:48damage taken up with molten shell for
03:51our oras we're running Pride blood rage
03:53for freny Generation uh War Banner is
03:56going to be our new totem just get used
03:58to the fact that if you're playing a
03:59melee build you're probably going to
04:00play war banner and you're going to
04:02place it whenever you're fighting like a
04:03boss or really Juiced rare also going
04:07with heral Purity and blood and Sand we
04:10are doing a at least in the starter
04:12version a manual curse with
04:14vulnerability and then enduring cry is
04:16mostly here for if I need a heal because
04:20I take too much damage we're not using
04:22it to generate endurance charges because
04:25we have disciple of the unyielding on
04:27the Stampede boots which is going to
04:29going to give us endurance charge
04:31generation off of enemies that we kill
04:34this could be a bit of an issue when
04:36we're bossing but I'm not planning to do
04:39real bossing on this build this is just
04:40going to be killing map bosses so they
04:43should die very quickly we shouldn't
04:45have to worry about really needing
04:46endurance charges um forgot to mention
04:49defensive layer I am on all versions of
04:52this of these builds going for the
04:54additional three endurance charges from
04:56the tree so we've got that six endurance
04:59charge which is giving us that
05:0124% um Elemental damage reduction on top
05:06of the fact that we're already spell
05:07block chance capped at 65 so once again
05:10should feel pretty tanky and that's
05:13pretty much it for the uh the starter
05:15build uh basic fiz staff uh resistance
05:19life gear pretty much we are going with
05:22a death Rush ring this does give us
05:23adrenaline um which is kind of nice and
05:26the recovery life on kill um the coil is
05:30going to be expensive I have it in all
05:32of my build setups this is just one of
05:34those things where you know as soon as
05:36you get the currency whether you get
05:38lucky with drops or you're really good
05:39at flipping or you're really good at
05:40just making currency like I have my
05:42farming strats I know how I'm going to
05:44make currency really early on this is
05:46just an item that's worth investing in
05:48you're going to use it in your melee
05:50build and then uh yeah basic gems for
05:54just chaos resistance in life really is
05:56the most important thing um and that's
05:58about it for the stter build I'm going
06:00to swap over to the mid game crit
06:05conversion now for this this is just
06:08kind of segueing into crit and getting
06:10away from Resolute technique our damage
06:12basically triples um I am still once
06:16again trying at least with this version
06:17of the build to keep it block capped and
06:20keep it really tanky the idea behind
06:22this is you know I'm going to see how
06:25well this plays in t7s since they've
06:27nerfed them uh but yeah the the idea
06:29behind going this you know progressing
06:31this way is that we'll now start doing
06:33t7s and uh you know juicing maps and
06:36whatnot uh so for this once again we're
06:39using that Mana trick to get the zero
06:42cost to our Cyclone um we are I forgot
06:45to mention this uh I should have it on
06:47my starter tree we're also picking up
06:50this fortify wheel for defenses so we
06:52our melee hits fortify we get the
06:55additional fortification Stacks this is
06:57I have this on all of my builds so just
06:59another of Defense we have
07:01fortification uh also on top of
07:03everything else but for the crit build
07:06same thing we're taking the block nodes
07:08over here for staff as well versatile
07:10combatant we're going into the rage
07:12generation still so that we can have
07:14that passive kind of buff to everything
07:17um and then one of the other things I'm
07:18also doing is trying to keep my life
07:20relatively high at least for a a setup
07:24like this so around 5,000 life um I
07:27could probably try to scale it more but
07:29I'm trying to also get as much damage as
07:31I can uh so yeah that's really about it
07:35we just kind of pick up some crit nodes
07:37like the crit multiplier here the crit
07:39multiplier here as well as these two
07:41extra nodes on the staff here for more
07:42crit multi and that's pretty much oh and
07:45then uh this is a pretty big one right
07:46here Eagle Eye for the accuracy and um a
07:49little bit of crit chance so that's
07:51pretty much it for the tree in terms of
07:53changes the gear is going to see a lot
07:56of changes so we switch to um a better
07:59Fizz St that has crit uh mods on it
08:02we're picking up an abyssus this should
08:04be fine because of all of our defensive
08:05layers um that increased physical damage
08:08taken shouldn't really hurt us as much
08:11um and this is huge crit multiplier for
08:13like any melee build that you play so we
08:14definitely want to pick that up we're
08:16still using Stampede but we're now uh
08:19anointing it with Whispers of Doom
08:20because we're going to run two curses um
08:22which I'll get to in a second uh and
08:24then just a better chest piece um mostly
08:29the rest of gear is just swapping over
08:31to crit mods so that we can scale crit
08:34damage um notable notable diff
08:37noticeable difference on the Rings is we
08:40are using a warlord influence to get
08:42that curse enemies with volon hit uh so
08:46that way everything that we touch gets
08:48vulnerability and then because like I
08:50said we're using Whispers of Doom on
08:51Stampede we are now running a mark on
08:54hit assassin's Mark so we have that dual
08:56curse on everything we touch um so the
08:59idea once we go crit conversion is it's
09:01going to feel a lot better obviously cuz
09:02we're doing more damage but we're just
09:04going to spin a win everything is going
09:06to get double cursed it's going to be
09:08wonderful and then we get whenever we
09:10come across like a really Juiced rare or
09:12you know a boss that we got to kill the
09:14only additional thing we have to do is
09:15put down a war banner and that's it
09:17that's that's all we have to do spin a
09:19win and War Banner um as far as the
09:22items go we're still using Aries
09:24obviously for the block chance and then
09:26just some better Jewels with uh crit
09:29and that's pretty much it for the gear
09:31uh if you can get it at this point it'd
09:33be worth investing in a coil that has a
09:35pride implicit on it just to scale more
09:37damage but those are going to be very
09:39expensive uh just a regular coil if you
09:41can get it will be just fine and then
09:43for the scals uh just better 2120 gems
09:47we're not getting into the awaken stuff
09:48yet uh for our auras we're now running
09:51in and lighten on our Aura setup because
09:52we need to squeeze in a Precision so
09:54that we can scale um more uh crit chance
09:59and then as I mentioned assassin's Mark
10:01with Mark on hit our war Banner um for
10:04our movement I kind of didn't touch on
10:06this on the starter build so we're using
10:08leap slam but we're also using Frost
10:10blink so whichever you prefer um the
10:13only reason I have MIM connected to
10:15these is once we get into the crit build
10:19um for whatever reason PO is not
10:21calculating the chance to M enemies when
10:23you crit them uh which we're going to be
10:25critting constantly so I just threw that
10:28on the leap slam temporarily so that in
10:30the config it's targetable right here so
10:33we can see the damage that's that's it
10:35you don't actually need that link there
10:37and that's pretty much it for the mid
10:39game crit conversion build uh for the
10:42last version the end game that I'm
10:44putting together this is going to be
10:46very expensive uh but so far it's
10:49looking pretty promising um I'm still
10:51going to play around with this uh
10:54because I feel like there's a lot more I
10:55can do with it but currently we're
10:57looking at around 60 million sheet
10:59damage damage we still have capped
11:00resistances um kind of had to move away
11:03from versatile combatant in the block
11:05nodes uh which I'm not too happy about
11:07I'm going to still try to figure that
11:08out but for right now we we went away
11:11from that um but we're
11:16fortification uh we still have uh pretty
11:20decent sheet uh ehp but to kind of take
11:23this with a grain of salt this is kind
11:24of a hard this is kind of like a a trick
11:27um stat to look at it's not us
11:29reflective uh so I wouldn't I wouldn't
11:32take that 100% um you got to play you
11:34got to play builds and see how they feel
11:36and make adjustments uh some noticeable
11:38difference uh differences on the tree
11:40here for the end-game version um we are
11:43slotting in a light of meaning just so
11:45we can get a lot of that physical damage
11:47like the new pandis packed um we are
11:55also pretty much the rest of it still
11:57the same uh we're still going for the
12:01uh yeah that's pretty much it we we
12:04basically moved away from the block
12:05nodes and uh pandis pack for our jewels
12:10and then uh we're also using a Watcher's
12:11eye down here um to scale uh Pride
12:14damage and impale um but the tree is not
12:17that much different that you can see
12:19from the mid game conversion um we just
12:22move away from the Block and we
12:26uh well yeah I did make some changes
12:30sorry so we dropped some of the physical
12:31nodes it does look like we're P picking
12:33up some rage here um so we take some of
12:37these notes away to put to invest more
12:39in some rage down here uh but that's
12:41about it for that uh for the items this
12:44is where it's going to just be like lots
12:47and lots of divines um but you know uh
12:50corrupted abysses with a Life mod a
12:52super Juice staff we're talking like 12
12:55to 1300 Fizz uh DPS and just you know
13:00increased explicit physical modifiers um
13:03we're looking at like a redeemer um
13:06sorry a warlord Hunter chest for that
13:08you know attack crit and the additional
13:10curse we get we'll get that here um so
13:13this will be uh kind of pricey to uh to
13:16craft um I'm running with these
13:19Celestial brace gauntlets these are
13:21actually really nice because they give
13:22us additional uh damage reduction with
13:24the extra fortification and also give us
13:26a lot of attack speed for damage so
13:28these uh these are really good
13:30especially if you can get a corrupted
13:31pair with that implicit for more attack
13:33speed um your typical like elusive
13:36Tailwind boots uh kind of a Juiced
13:39amulet with lots of crit mods and
13:41additional levels to skill gems
13:45um Rings aren't too much different in
13:47this setup uh I still want that vul on
13:50hit and then obviously a mage blood
13:52setup with all of our flas taken care of
13:55and then just better roll Jewels so you
13:58know very expensive year but you know
14:00that's what it is when you're investing
14:01in scaling a build as far as you can and
14:04then the skills are are just swapping
14:06out um you know awaken gems as necessary
14:09otherwise the gem setup is about the
14:11same so this uh this final version of it
14:14is going to be unrealistic for a lot of
14:15people uh but the mid game should be
14:19very doable for me this is where I'll
14:21probably be by the end of week one and I
14:23think this is uh pretty good um for a
14:29for a cyclone Slayer I'm going to be
14:31pretty happy I think with running a uh a
14:36cyclone Slayer this league start so yeah
14:39that's my plans uh I might stream a bit
14:42I might do some videos to Showcase some
14:44stuff like I've done in the past um I
14:46just wanted to make this quick video to
14:47talk about Cyclone because I know a lot
14:49of people are talking about slams right
14:52now Slams are going to be very powerful
14:54especially with war CRI um I'm pretty
14:57sure that's going to be a large part if
14:59if not the major part of the melee meta
15:01but there are skills like Cyclone that
15:03got buffed and uh they're not going to
15:05be you know Godly like some other builds
15:08but you're going to be able to do all
15:09content and it's going to be a lot of
15:11fun and I'm looking forward to spin a
15:14win again uh so yeah that's all I've got

15:21this goes somewhere and I think it's
15:22worth uh showing off some changes I make
15:24to the build and uh what you might be
