00:02about how to farm gold efficiently in
00:04season 4 the other day if you haven't
00:06seen it you might want to check it out
00:07there are some valuable tips gold has
00:09become a really valuable currency either
00:12for enchanting for masterworking or just
00:15trading your items and I'm want to give
00:16you some tips on how to not spend that
00:19much gold in particular through
00:20enchanting because there are some
00:22important things that a lot of people
00:24don't know I think so what you need to
00:25know about enchanting is that it has a
00:27ramping cost I guess this comes as no
00:29surprise when you go to the occultist
00:31and you try to item here this one for
00:33example starts at 93k and then when you
00:36do a roll it will go to probably like
00:38200k and then 500k and then 800 and so
00:41on it kind of rams up so in season 4 the
00:44gold course has been capped for
00:45enchanting it depends on the exact item
00:48and the item power but it's somewhere in
00:50a range of like 3 to 8 million cap or so
00:54depending on the item which is still a
00:56pretty high cap so this means it's like
00:57at least a whisper turn in or two just
01:00to do like a one roll once they reach
01:02that cap and this way he just after I
01:04don't know maybe 20 rolls or 30 rolls or
01:06something like that most people don't
01:08have the goal to even go there because
01:10you just don't get enough you see here I
01:12have like 470 million and I've been
01:14blasting this uh season so far I've been
01:18doing Whispers all the time so at least
01:21if you don't get a lot of gold income
01:22from other sources from players through
01:24trading then it just doesn't really come
01:26in that quickly but there are some ways
01:29to be very smart about your gold economy
01:32in order to get the maximum benefit out
01:34of it so the number one thing to do is
01:36whenever you farm and you find these
01:38items that you might want to for example
01:40temper or enchant or something like that
01:42you should try to get multiple copies of
01:44similar items you see this here so I
01:46have like my stash for example laid out
01:48I have like my one-handed weapons here I
01:49have like my Helms and my boots here I
01:51have my chest and my pants here so it's
01:53kind of like throw in all kinds of like
01:56good pieces that have decent rolls not
01:58necessarily only with great alixs
02:00because it's also possible that you do
02:02tempers and then you don't get what you
02:03want and the item is bricked but yeah
02:06most of the time it's nice to just have
02:08a bunch of copies because every time you
02:09start on a fresh item with enchanting
02:11the gold cost resets and you spend way
02:14less so this is step one so in this case
02:17for example whenever I would like to go
02:19Craft on an item and I want to make a
02:20new build or something I would start
02:22with like the best version that I have
02:23for example this one here has a greater
02:25life fix has a higher role on decks and
02:28then it has like one missing stat you to
02:30try to roll this to maybe something good
02:31and then maybe I'll try like two or
02:33three or four rolls and if I don't get
02:35it maybe I'll move on to the next one
02:37however just enchanting and potentially
02:39running out of gold is not necessarily
02:41the biggest problem here when you make a
02:43new item it's also the tempering and a
02:45good thing about tempering is it
02:47actually doesn't cost any gold so when
02:48you go to the blacksmith you can
02:50basically temper for free in the late
02:52game it costs a few materials like two
02:54baleful fragments and seven veale
02:56crystals and a bunch of iron chunks it's
02:59basically enough nothing when you have
03:00like a late character and you like Farm
03:03up a lot of stuff and you can just go
03:04and take this item and temper so this is
03:07for free and you can kind of see in
03:09advance if the item would even possibly
03:11be useful after enchanting for you so
03:14most of the time i' would recommend when
03:16you have those multiple copies of items
03:17you go and temper first and try to see
03:20if you actually get the mod that you
03:21want to get because if you don't have
03:23hit the temper there's actually no way
03:25to fix the item at least if enchanting
03:27you can roll over and over and you could
03:30Farm up a lot of gold if you really have
03:32to and still fix the item later on but
03:35with tempering this is not possible so
03:37you should usually go for tempering
03:38first and enchanting later however when
03:40it comes to enchanting you also need to
03:42know that some of the modifiers are much
03:44much harder to roll than others and this
03:46is also something where a bit of game
03:48knowledge is important but also just the
03:50general concept you need to understand
03:52in order to not waste you gold so what
03:54blizzard has done with the update in
03:56season 4 is that they have made some fxs
03:58extremely common and some EIC is very
04:01rare there's a big waiting system
04:03introduced in this enchanting system now
04:05that previously wasn't the case so what
04:08I mean here is for example we have
04:09dexterity in strength and so on all
04:12these main stats they are very high
04:14weight they appear on basically every
04:16other item if you look at this so you
04:18see here there's dexterity there's none
04:20here's dexterity there's none here's
04:23dexterity here's dexterity here's
04:25dexterity and here and here and here and
04:28so on so you see how often dexterity
04:30shows up for example this has a very
04:32high weight it's like probably the
04:34highest that exists and then you also
04:36see life for example you have a lot of
04:38items here with life this Helm here has
04:40dexterity and life and uh there's
04:42nothing here there is life here and then
04:45nothing here's life here's life here's
04:48life and here's life so you see like
04:50when you go and collect loot you can see
04:52a lot of these same stats popping up
04:53over and over this was part of the
04:55intentional redesign of the item drops
04:57on the ground making them gen useful for
05:00basically every build so they put a lot
05:02of main stats and these like Max own
05:05life stats and a few others as very
05:07common rolls on these items but what it
05:10also means is that it's way harder to
05:13roll away from those stats in order to
05:15get something else so let's say for
05:17example we take this item here that has
05:19decks life and percent damage and let's
05:21say for whatever reason you want to go
05:22full glass Cannon you don't want to have
05:24that maximum life role on your weapon
05:26anymore which is usually a good role to
05:28keep for basically every build but let's
05:29say you don't want to now if you want to
05:31try to roll this life roll away to let's
05:33say crit damage you see there's actually
05:35a bunch of options here and all these
05:38options don't necessarily have the same
05:40weight in fact the crit damage overpower
05:42W and damage all time they're actually
05:43all of the same category and as long as
05:46none of them are present they can roll
05:48any of them so let's say I want to hit
05:50exactly the vulnerable damage because
05:52I'm playing hard Seeker Rock I would
05:54have to roll off the life which is very
05:55common and you see here life pops up yet
05:58again and then we can do another R and
05:59you see life pops up yet again and it
06:01just keeps coming back every single time
06:03here I got lucky I got the one damage on
06:05the third roll but you see the life is
06:07basically always an option on this thing
06:10so it's very hard to like roll away from
06:12life for example in order to get
06:14something else so usually in the case of
06:16weapons for example it's much better if
06:18you have a weapon that already has the
06:20specific damage set that you're trying
06:22to roll for example here had a
06:23vulnerable damage in my case or maybe
06:25crit or maybe damage over time or
06:27something like that if you have a weapon
06:28that already has this like this one here
06:30this one has vulnerable damage already
06:33and you see here if you try to roll the
06:34vulnerable damage there's way more
06:35options than for example when I try to
06:37roll dexterity and so in this case if
06:40this item already has R and life it will
06:42be extremely easy almost guaranteed to
06:45roll dexterity as the last Stat or for
06:47example the life the same if this thing
06:49has vulnerable and deck and then I can
06:51roll the life extremely easily and also
06:53go for a higher roll you see there's
06:55like a high range here like the maximum
06:58is roughly for 40 50% higher than the
07:00minimum role so it's actually quite the
07:03Gap here between a good roll and a bad
07:05role and in a case like this where life
07:07is so easy to get you could actually try
07:09to roll a few times in order to get a
07:11really juicy roll out of it as well this
07:13also means that for example when you're
07:15looking for an item on a trade side like
07:16the Crimson market then you want to try
07:19to hit those stats that are hard to roll
07:22on the item present already that makes
07:23the item much more valuable because
07:25you're going to spend much less gold and
07:27materials actually rolling them later on
07:29so a sword like this here that has decks
07:32Greater Life and vulnerable damage
07:34already pre-rolled is just way more
07:36valuable than for example uh this weapon
07:39here which technically could be rolled
07:41into the same stat but you do have to go
07:43to the enchanter and then roll this
07:45percent damage into vulnerable damage
07:47and this might cost you five attempts 10
07:49attempts dozens of millions of gold
07:51basically and if you get unlucky well
07:54you're going to have a much worse time
07:55trying to get this item ready compared
07:58to this and the same applies to a lot of
08:00other items as well for example skill
08:02ranks if you're trying to get a certain
08:04skill specific aics for example we have
08:06a Glo here that has plus feet to barrage
08:08if you're playing a rogue then this is
08:10really nice glove because it has the
08:12ranks to barrage it has dexterity which
08:14is a fine stat to have and then you just
08:16need to basically roll this damage over
08:17time to any good damage St like attack
08:20speed or crit or something like that
08:22maybe life even if you really want and
08:25then the item is finished but for
08:26example you have another glove like this
08:28one you may think wow this one has
08:30attack speed and a greater crit now I'm
08:32going to take off this life roll and put
08:34barrage there well you're going to have
08:36a bad time because of the same reasons
08:39we have life roll that you're trying to
08:40replace which is a very common Alix and
08:42you're trying to roll a skill specific
08:44one which is you know one of these many
08:46axes here that also has a kind of low
08:49weight on top of it so it's like no way
08:52that you're going to roll into barage
08:54unless you get extremely lucky if I had
08:56to guess this would probably be
08:58something like a one in3 30 at least or
09:01so so by that time you probably have
09:02spent 100 million gold in order to try
09:04to hit that whereas for example if I
09:06take this glove here that has barrage
09:08present already but no greater AIX I
09:10just have like a near guaranteed know
09:12out here with either attack speed or
09:15some crit or you know anything I can
09:17just try it right now for example and
09:19you see here okay we get armor we get
09:21some rest get some more rest here has
09:24some life there's already four rolls and
09:26here has vulnerable damage so this could
09:28be something for example for a victim
09:29builds here's life again we already have
09:31five rolls and you see I'm trying to
09:33roll something that is much easier to
09:34roll than barrage he has lucky hit for
09:37example it could be something here's
09:39rest again we like at eight rolls now
09:41and here I got attack speed finally but
09:43you see at this point I've already spent
09:45like probably two three million gold or
09:47so if you add it all up and now I got
09:49attack speed and now I actually have
09:50like a decent glove here that I could
09:52use for a barrage build whereas you know
09:55if you try the same here it's just like
09:57a complete lottery basically try to hit
09:59that barrage ranks so if I have to
10:01decide for example for stash space
10:03reasons to keep one or the other glove I
10:05would much rather keep this glove that
10:07already has the skill ranks over this
10:09one that has the greater aics now you
10:11can still try your luck you know as I
10:13said it's not impossible to roll this
10:15barrage or any other skill but it's just
10:18extremely unlikely and you're going to
10:19run out of gold really fast so it's much
10:22easier to just kind of keep these items
10:23around and I think also just for trading
10:25if you're looking to buy an item for
10:26example for a specific build you want to
10:28look for for those skill ranks that you
10:30actually try to get already the same
10:32also applies to some other stats if you
10:33look at for example this Helm here this
10:35Helm is really nice it has a greater
10:36dexterity roll has a life roll and then
10:39has this impairment reduction which is
10:40kind of trash so you try to roll off
10:42this and let's say let's say you want to
10:44get like cool down reduction not even a
10:47skill or something you think hey cool
10:48down reduction is always nice a lot of
10:50bills cannot want that and then you
10:52start rolling this thing and try to get
10:54Kum reduction well you have the same
10:55story here Kum reduction doesn't mean to
10:57have like a high weight from what I can
10:59but yeah some other stuff does there's
11:01energy per second that shows up all the
11:03time there's healing received life per
11:05second and then eventually resistances
11:08and you see here I'm only like five six
11:09rolls deep and there's no K reduction to
11:12be found and if you have a Helm like
11:14this for example that already comes with
11:16kudam reduction you're going to have a
11:18much easier time taking this item and
11:20finishing it and for example rolling off
11:22the cold resistance here to get let's
11:24say dexterity so if you take this you're
11:26going to get dexterity or life he has
11:28life as well which is not bad probably
11:30like on the second try or so here it is
11:32so we got the decks and now we actually
11:34have a usable Helm in case you care
11:35about the energy per second whereas here
11:38you know this has a greater AIX it's
11:40better but you're just never going to
11:42get that cool down reduction same story
11:44as with the gloves and the same also
11:45applies for example for amulets when you
11:47have amulets and you let say you have
11:49like movement speed and crit chance
11:51already but then you want to roll like a
11:53certain passive or so well do not try to
11:56get that really like you can try the
11:58lottery and and you know roll five times
12:00or something like that maybe 10 times if
12:02it's a really good amulet but at that
12:04point at some point you just have to
12:06take the loss and move on basically so
12:09in this case you know if you want to get
12:11specific aspect like I played a hot
12:12seigar right now I really want the
12:14exploit ranks you kind of need to find
12:16the amulet with the passive already
12:18present because you just have almost no
12:20chance to roll it you can maybe try to
12:22get a random other passive if you keep
12:24rolling it so this one here I got a
12:26pretty juicy crit roll for example right
12:28now and now if roll this again maybe you
12:30know try to get something but it's
12:32already at 2 million gold per roll and 2
12:34million is not a joke really so you want
12:37to make sure that you don't waste your
12:38gold especially rolling amulets or
12:40rolling for these skill ranks on like a
12:42glove or something on the chest you know
12:44if you want to get and's say dark shroud
12:46ranks many Rogues want that you kind of
12:48need to find the chest that already has
12:51this present and going back to the topic
12:53of tempering in some cases it may
12:55actually be the better decision to go
12:57and enchant first and see what get
12:59before you do the tempering as I said
13:01earlier tempering doesn't actually cost
13:03gold so it's not really a huge downside
13:05to waste a few materials but it's also
13:08time that you have to spend and you have
13:10to like collect these items and you have
13:11to try to roll them and you have to you
13:13know find them again from your stash and
13:15so on so there's a lot of like
13:16micromanagement going on sometimes when
13:18you have a bunch of these items like you
13:20know ready to go depending on how hard
13:22it is to roll a certain stat it may not
13:24be such a bad idea to like also just
13:26enchant a few times see if you get lucky
13:29here with you know maybe a roll that he
13:31try to hit and then go for the tempering
13:33now unfortunately I don't have a full
13:35list available of which STS are the more
13:37common ones versus which starts are the
13:39more Uncommon ones but I can't tell you
13:42like decks and all these main stats and
13:44life they are pretty common and then
13:46there's probably like some mid tier AIC
13:49Rarity like attack speed crit and these
13:52kind of things lucky hit I suppose that
13:55are kind like showing up pretty decently
13:57and then you have like some of the more
13:58rare Al fixes like all the skill ranks
14:00they seem pretty rare then you have the
14:02passive ranks you have um yeah maybe
14:04stuff like the chance to make enemies
14:06vulnerable on rings for example if
14:07you're trying to rely on that I think
14:09this is extremely rare here for example
14:11so it comes down a bit to like gut
14:12feeling and just looking at the items
14:14and kind of understanding how often do
14:16you see certain stats in order to get a
14:18bit of a feel for it maybe this is
14:19possible to data mine U I'll see if I
14:22can find any resource about this or so
14:24but so far I have not found anything and
14:26have not seen anyone compile such info
14:28but this is how the system works so I
14:31guess that a lot of people might not
14:32have been aware of this and this is how
14:34you can actually save yourself from a
14:35lot of trouble rolling your items make
14:37sure you don't overcommit because you
14:39need that gold in order to master workk
14:41your gear masterworking a single piece
14:43to 12 is something in a range of like 30
14:4640 million gold or something like that
14:48it's quite a lot of gold and you really
14:51want to keep that gold around for the
14:52master working purposes also when you
14:54try to reset it it's a lot of gold it's
14:56like 5 million and then you have to do a
14:58bit for the conversion and so on so
15:01don't overcommit on enchanting rather
15:03try to get decent items even if they
15:05don't have great axes like I'm probably
15:07totally fine running with boots like
15:08this here they have the three starts
15:10that I want deck life speed and they got
15:13the right tempers and yeah they can be
15:15improved you know they could be a lot
15:16better with greater ales but sometimes
15:19you just don't get what you want on the
15:21temper and sometimes you just can't
15:22enchant them so you kind of roll with
15:24what you got but having those items that
15:27have the right stats the hard get starts
15:30already present and then enchanting the
15:31easy stuff is usually the better way to
