00:00MAURICIO BAYAS: Well, my name is Mauricio Bayas.

00:03I live in Quito, Ecuador.

00:05I am a general manager and the founder

00:07of a software development company named Bayteq.

00:10My wife sings and play the guitar.

00:13And right now, we are very busy.

00:16The weekends are recording some music and sharing songs,

00:21and that's very fun.

00:22Right now working together with that.

00:24The course, as I mentioned, it was transformational for me,

00:28give me a new viewpoint of how to do things,

00:31how to design applications, how to find the end-customer need,

00:37how to understand what they need when in the daily life

00:41or using any specific program, for example.

00:44So after the training course, I decide I will practice this.

00:48I will use this in our work.

00:50I will present these ideas of use design-thinking

00:54when we develop a new product together with the customer.

00:58We decide to do, by ourselves, a design thinking project, doing

01:04interviews, doing observations.

01:07And when we got the insights, and the first ideas

01:11to improve that app, people were start to thinking,

01:15oh, this, it works, this seems to be that is good.

01:19I remember a health care industry project that we made.

01:25They used to take decisions in a boarding room.

01:29They were taking decision in a table,

01:32because they were the masters, they understand the customer

01:36and they are the experts.

01:38But they discovered that they don't understand the customer.

01:41And they discovered too that the customer is changing.

01:45So they learned a lot.

01:46And they are right now practicing design thinking.

01:50And the best practices of design thinking,

01:53I think that every day.

01:54I recommend everybody to take the design thinking

01:58training course.

01:59It is transformational.

02:01The Stanford people, they know a lot.

02:03They really were the people who were started design-thinking.

02:07And you will transform your company,

02:11you will transform your people.

02:12And you will understand your customers.

02:15And you will be very successful applying design thinking

02:19in your daily life and in overall your company.
