00:00in this video I'm going to be ranking
00:01the Google career certificates from s
00:03tier which is the best to F tier which
00:06is the worst now these Google career
00:08certificates are basically like a job
00:10cheat code and the reason I say they're
00:12like a job cheat code is because pretty
00:14much nobody knows about these right now
00:16and they're incredibly valuable ever
00:19since I started talking about these you
00:20guys have left comment after comment
00:22after comment about how you've taken
00:24them and you've had incredible outcomes
00:26from them some people talk about how
00:27they took one of the Google certificates
00:29and recruiters started reaching out to
00:31them right and they weren't even done
00:32with it other people talk about how they
00:34took a Google certificate and they got a
00:35job within a few months and even the
00:37people who aren't able to get a job
00:38typically they're saying that they had a
00:40good experience right they learned a lot
00:42from it and for 39 a month which is all
00:44these Google certificates are and you
00:46can even audit the courses for free that
00:48is a ridiculously good value and the
00:50reason these massive companies like
00:51Google IBM meta Etc started creating
00:54these certificates is because of the
00:56fact that there were certain positions
00:58where there simply were not enough
00:59people had those skills and college was
01:02not keeping up with the demand so after
01:04getting frustrated with college they
01:06decided you know what let's go ahead and
01:07create our own alternative to it and
01:09they created the professional
01:10certificate program and they partnered
01:11with Coursera to do it and so with these
01:13certificates even if you decide to not
01:15take them it's worth it to know what
01:17subjects they're teaching because those
01:19are the subjects that are in demand
01:20right now those are the subjects that
01:21these big companies want from people
01:23those are the skills they want people to
01:25have honestly I do not know if this is
01:27going to last forever because right now
01:28it's basically like a career cheat code
01:30so if this changes in the future I will
01:32let you know so make sure that you are
01:33subscribed to the channel
01:35this is an incredible way for you to one
01:38identify in-demand careers and in-demand
01:41skills and then two learn those
01:43in-demand skills and create a portfolio
01:45but that begs the question what are the
01:47best Google career certificates and I'm
01:49actually going to talk about some of the
01:50other companies like IBM and meta as
01:53well so if you appreciate me and my team
01:55doing this research it took us like 237
01:58hours to do all of this for you go ahead
02:00gently tap that like button and let's
02:02jump into it right now alright so the
02:04first one we're going to talk about is
02:06the Google data analytics certificate
02:08and this is one of my favorites first of
02:11all I have had several people report to
02:14me that they have gotten jobs with just
02:16the data analytics certificate alone but
02:19with that being said I do not think that
02:21for most people getting just the data
02:23analytics certificate is going to be
02:25enough I think you should supplement
02:26this with other certificates like maybe
02:28the IBM certificate and I think that
02:30also you should do some study outside of
02:32Coursera and the biggest thing here is
02:34you need to work on your portfolio so
02:37yes it will help you create like a base
02:39portfolio but you should be doing other
02:40things outside of that as well for the
02:43value that it gives this one is
02:45incredible on the site this one has a
02:474.8 star rating with over 61 000 ratings
02:49The cost is about 39 a month when you
02:51look at the demand for data analysts on
02:54LinkedIn at the entry level there's 578
02:58000 results 578 000 results for data
03:01analysis at the entry level on LinkedIn
03:04that's absolutely nuts and if you look
03:05up data analyst on Glassdoor you're
03:07going to see they make about 93 000 a
03:11year so this is one where it is a little
03:14bit harder to get into than some of the
03:15other ones right so there's certain
03:17careers I recommend on this channel that
03:19are super easy to get into it Tech sales
03:21digital marketing is relatively easy to
03:23get into data analytics a little bit
03:25harder a little bit harder to get into
03:26but with that being said really good one
03:28this one gets s tier status next one on
03:32the list Google it automation with
03:34python this is one that I'm not as
03:37excited about but with that being said
03:39even the ones I'm not super excited
03:41about are still pretty good like like
03:43I'm not lying like they're still really
03:45good value the ones that I'm more
03:46excited about are ones where it can
03:48either almost get you a job or straight
03:50up get you a job and those are the ones
03:51that I put in s tier if you look at the
03:53rating 29 000 ratings 4.8 Stars so
03:56people are relatively happy with it when
03:58they take it it's 39 a month and this is
04:00one that could get you into many
04:02different jobs I think a lot of the
04:04people that take this particular
04:05certificate are people who are already
04:07in it and they want to learn a little
04:10bit more programming right they want to
04:11learn some python so if you're in that
04:13situation this one is like s tier but if
04:15you're somebody who doesn't know
04:16anything about it you don't know
04:18anything about programming I don't think
04:19this is the best one to get right off
04:21the bat so one career path you might go
04:23down is becoming an I.T administrator
04:25and by the way there's like a hundred
04:26different random little IT jobs so don't
04:28be surprised when you see like kind of
04:30lower results on these whereas data
04:32analytics is like five hundred thousand
04:33uh there's trust me there's a ton of
04:35jobs an I.T so it administrator is like
04:3714 000 results so it admins make about
04:3972 000 according to Glassdoor you might
04:42also become an I.T software engineer
04:43they make about a hundred and ten
04:45thousand so yeah there are some really
04:46good options here this one because of
04:48the fact that it's not as beginner
04:50friendly in my opinion it's more made
04:52for people who already have a little bit
04:54of experience I can't put it in a higher
04:56tier I have to give this one a d tier
04:58rating but with that being said it's
05:00still great like a lot of these
05:02certificates are amazing next is going
05:03to be the Google project management
05:05certificate and I made an entire video
05:08on this one as well 4.8 out of 5 stars
05:11with 73 000 ratings so it's a really
05:14good one of course you could become a
05:15project manager or a project coordinator
05:17project manager there's about 74 000
05:19results project coordinator there's 30
05:21000 there's a lot of random jobs you can
05:22get into this one again it's one of
05:24those things where there's a lot of sort
05:26of scattered random jobs you can get
05:28into so you're not going to see like the
05:30immediate massive number but yeah
05:31seventy four thousand thirty thousand
05:33project assistant 66 000 operations
05:35manager 68 000 program manager 76 000
05:38scrub Master 33 000 project associate
05:40twenty five thousand I think you get my
05:42point and those are all at the entry
05:43level and if you type in project manager
05:45on Glassdoor you're gonna see about
05:46eighty four thousand dollars a year so
05:48really nice salary there so this is one
05:50again I made an entire video about it
05:52really breaking it down there is another
05:55certificate that you should probably get
05:57on top of this one let's buy a kind of
05:59an accrediting organization so this is
06:01one where if you already have a little
06:03bit of experience and you want to move
06:05into kind of a project management type
06:07role that would be a great certificate
06:10to get you can get it on your own but
06:12you can get into a project management
06:14role with the certificate alone I have
06:16seen people do it but with that being
06:18said probably best if you maybe get
06:19another certificate and also probably
06:21best if you already have a little bit of
06:24work experience so because of the fact
06:25that you need a little bit of work
06:27experience I can't give this one too
06:29high of a rating but it is phenomenal
06:31lots of people absolutely Rave about
06:33this one online we basically scrape the
06:34internet when we were doing this project
06:36so and yeah I'll give this one a tier
06:38next one is the Google ux design
06:41certificate so ux stands for user
06:45experience and this is one that a lot of
06:47people want to get into because of the
06:50fact that it is kind of an artistic type
06:53career right they want to get into ux UI
06:55design now typically the UI portion is
06:58the more popular one because that's more
06:59of kind of the artistic portion whereas
07:01the ux portion is a little bit more of
07:03the analysis type portion but with that
07:05being said if you want to get into a UI
07:08role a lot of the time they expect you
07:09to be really good at the ux side of
07:11things as well so again with this one I
07:13have seen people get in with just taking
07:14the certificate without having a degree
07:16or anything like that but with that
07:17being said you are going to have to have
07:19a super solid portfolio anything that
07:22involves like designing websites or like
07:24aesthetic sort of things you have to
07:26have a super good portfolio when you're
07:28doing that so you can't just take this
07:30certificate do the basic portfolio stuff
07:32that they offer inside of it and expect
07:33to get a job you are going to have to
07:34work on on your own unique projects and
07:37have some things you can show in that
07:38portfolio but that being said 4.8 out of
07:405 stars with over 58 000 ratings if you
07:42look up ux design on LinkedIn at the
07:44entry level you're going to see about 16
07:46000 results which is pretty good and
07:48again this is another one where that's
07:49not always called like ux design right
07:51there's a bunch of different words for
07:53it but there is a good amount of demand
07:54for this one especially for something
07:56that's kind of art related now if you
07:58look up ux designer on Glassdoor you're
08:00going to see they make about 97
08:02000 a year and UI designers make even
08:05more at about a hundred thousand dollars
08:07a year and again like I said before
08:08there's a bunch of different names for
08:10this so for instance ux researchers make
08:12about ninety nine thousand dollars a
08:13year now with that being said with this
08:16one it is going to be inherently more
08:19difficult to get kind of like an art
08:20related career just because of the fact
08:22that so many other people want to get
08:24those types of careers right the supply
08:26and demand is not going to be nearly as
08:28off as it is with some of the other
08:29careers on this list but this is a great
08:31way for you to kind of dip your toe into
08:33ux design see if it's something you want
08:35to do and if you are able to get the
08:36certificate it is going to set you apart
08:38quite a bit now I have made a ton of
08:40videos about people who are artistic and
08:43want to get into artistic careers or
08:44start their own artistic side hustles
08:46and I plan on making even more videos
08:47about that in the future so if you don't
08:49want to miss out on that go ahead hit
08:50that subscribe button so the Google ux
08:52design certificate I'm going to give
08:53this one a tier status next on the list
08:56is the IBM cyber security analyst
08:58certificate now for this one I have seen
09:00relatively mediocre ratings and feedback
09:02online as well as people who have talked
09:05to me after they've taken it it is rated
09:064.6 out of 5 Stars I will say that
09:09there's not a lot of really great
09:11resources for getting directly into
09:13cyber security a lot of the times the
09:15people who get into cyber security kind
09:16of make a horizontal career shift from
09:19it or maybe software development so this
09:21is another one of those certificates
09:22where it's probably going to be better
09:24for you if you already have a little bit
09:26of career experience now they say here
09:28on Coursera that 84 000 is the median
09:31entry level salary they also say that 20
09:33of graduates actually started a new
09:35career now that is a little bit of a sus
09:37uh number right there because I mean at
09:40any given time probably 20 percent of
09:42people might be like starting a new
09:43career or like maybe not 20 but a good
09:46amount of people are starting a new
09:47career so what did they start a new
09:48career at Starbucks start a new career
09:50working as a carpenter like you never
09:52really know right so that's a little bit
09:54of a suspect uh number right there I'd
09:56like them to dive into the data a little
09:58bit more but with that being said there
10:00is a ton of opportunity out there for
10:02people who are cyber security
10:03professionals so they say about 205 000
10:06in-demand job openings in cyber security
10:08so there's a bunch of different names
10:10for the careers so for instance security
10:12architect 20 000 results cyber security
10:14engineer 15 000 results malware tester 1
10:17800 results penetration tester 15 000
10:20results application security engineer 14
10:22000 results Cloud security specialist 32
10:25000 results and cyber security analyst
10:27fifteen thousand results so we're not
10:29going to go over all of those different
10:30ones again when it comes to the salary
10:32cyber security analysts make about 87
10:34000 dollars a year and if you're able to
10:37become a security architect you make
10:39about a hundred and seventy four
10:40thousand dollars a year now for all
10:42those reasons I mentioned the fact that
10:43it has a little bit lower ratings I
10:45haven't really heard as much like really
10:46positive stuff about this one and
10:48because of the fact that you probably
10:50are going to have to have a little bit
10:51of career experience to get into this I
10:53have to give this one D tier status but
10:55with that being said for the price it's
10:57still pretty valuable right it's still
10:59probably worth the amount that you have
11:00to pay now I know that like 90 of people
11:02who watch this channel either want a
11:04fully remote or a semi remote job and so
11:06what I did is I created an entire tier
11:08list to talk about the best remote
11:10entry-level jobs and you can check that
11:11out right here next let's talk about the
11:14IBM data analyst certificate so this is
11:17that certificate that I said it might be
11:19a good idea for you to take alongside
11:20the Google professional certificate but
11:22with that being said the rating here is
11:244.6 out of 5 stars with 11 000 ratings
11:27and I already talked about all the
11:28demand for data analysts so I'm not
11:30going to go over that again but I will
11:31say that this one has gotten less good
11:33feedback than the Google data analyst
11:36certificate but it's still gotten pretty
11:37good feedback and especially for the
11:39price this one is an incredible value so
11:42I'll put this one in a tier and by the
11:44way if you want to check out any of
11:45these certificates to look on your own
11:46first of all I will put them down in the
11:48description as well as the pin comment
11:49below so you can check that out I also
11:51made videos on almost all of these
11:53certificates maybe all of them I'd have
11:55to double check but yeah I made videos
11:56on almost all of them where I really
11:58deep dive into every single aspect of
12:00the certificate and I rank them on a
12:02scale from one to ten in different areas
12:03like you know how much money you make
12:05like the salary job satisfaction How
12:07likely you are to get a job Etc so
12:09definitely check those videos out as
12:11well on this channel I'm basically
12:12obsessed with alternative education and
12:14getting you the best jobs as quickly and
12:16easily as possible so things like
12:18certificates when I find that they're a
12:20really good value I always cover them on
12:21this channel I also cover other things
12:23like online courses that are able to get
12:25people jobs in like 10 to 14 days in
12:27extreme circumstances alright so next on
12:29the list we're going to cover the IBM
12:31data science certificate so data science
12:34is kind of a step up above data
12:36analytics and yes I know before somebody
12:38says yes I know it's data okay I know
12:40it's data somebody's already commenting
12:42it right now I'm sure commenting down
12:45below yeah I know it's data thanks
12:46thanks for letting me know those I've
12:48only figured that out a hundred times I
12:50say data get over it but anyways data
12:52science is a step above data analytics
12:54and typically people who become data
12:56scientists first become data analysts so
13:00this is another one of those
13:01certificates where it's really not entry
13:02level right you're not going to be able
13:04to go straight into a data scientist
13:06role in fact people who go straight into
13:07a data scientist role typically have
13:09master's degrees so the much more common
13:12method of getting into this is to first
13:13become a data analyst work on that for
13:16you know a few years probably learn a
13:18bunch of other extra skills and then
13:19become a data scientist but with that
13:21being said this one has a 4.6 out of 5
13:23star rating as well so relatively good
13:25with 61 000 ratings and if you type in
13:28data scientists on LinkedIn you sort by
13:30entry level you're going to see about
13:33000 results so tons of opportunity
13:34opportunity for data scientists and
13:37there's a bunch of other roles you can
13:38go into like data architect data
13:40engineer marketing analyst Etc and if
13:42you look up data scientist on Glassdoor
13:44you're going to see a hundred and twenty
13:46five thousand dollars a year so very
13:47high paying job and if you type in data
13:49architect even higher paying at 162 000
13:52a year so yeah data science and a bunch
13:55of the careers that are related to it
13:57super high paying super in demand I've
13:59talked about this over and over again on
14:00the channel I feel like I'm beating a
14:02dead horse but data is worth more than
14:04oil or gold it's incredibly valuable
14:06it's also incredibly sketchy people are
14:08taking your data against your will Tick
14:10Tock is like the devil basically but I'm
14:12not going to get into that right now
14:13next on the list is going to be the meta
14:16social media marketing certificate now
14:19this one I haven't gotten a lot of
14:21feedback on it so I'm probably gonna put
14:23it in a lower tier just because I don't
14:25know for sure if it's really good and
14:27you know in the future I might get more
14:29feedback on this one and then I would
14:30put in a higher tier but with that being
14:32said it is ranked 4.9 out of 5 star ours
14:35and social media marketing is incredibly
14:37valuable I think everybody knows like
14:39the content creation ecosystem is just
14:42getting bigger and bigger brands are
14:43starting to figure out that it's much
14:45better to reach people organically than
14:47to reach people with paid ads and this
14:49is a relatively broad skill set so
14:51social media marketing could Encompass
14:53just like making updates on a company's
14:55Twitter all the way to stuff like
14:57contacting different YouTubers and
14:59trying to get paid sponsorships for them
15:01right Integrations so obviously
15:03depending on what you specialize in in
15:05social media marketing there are going
15:06to be like better jobs out there but
15:08with that being said if you type in
15:09social media marketing on LinkedIn at
15:11the entry level you're going to see 37
15:13000 results and there's a bunch of other
15:14random names for the things that you
15:16could do that are not under social media
15:18marketing so it's another one of those
15:19and if you type in social media marketer
15:21on Glassdoor you're going to see about
15:23forty five thousand dollars a year so
15:25that's not bad but at the same time it's
15:27not nearly as good as a lot of the other
15:29ones on the list and I don't think this
15:31is nearly as valuable of a skill set in
15:34my opinion in than a lot of the other
15:36ones on the list for that reason I will
15:38give this one a b-tier ranking next one
15:40on the list is going to be python for
15:43everybody this is one where there is 200
15:46000 ratings and it is a 4.8 star rating
15:49so this is python for everybody's
15:50specialization so I'm gonna give this
15:51one a little bit lower of a rating than
15:53you probably think I mean you see 4.8
15:55200 000 ratings you think okay Shane's
15:57definitely gonna give this one like S2
15:58or a tier but actually I'm not and the
16:01reason for that is because it doesn't
16:02really teach you how to land a job right
16:05and I like courses and certifications
16:07that are outcome based I'm not a big fan
16:10of the certifications that are just like
16:12oh we're gonna teach you this or teach
16:13you that or you're going to be job ready
16:15or whatever I don't really like that as
16:16much as the ones that are like this
16:18course is designed to land you a job now
16:21I do think this one has good feedback
16:23has gotten relatively good feedback when
16:25I scraped online but I didn't hear of
16:27that many people who actually landed
16:29jobs with this one so in my opinion the
16:32way that I evaluate courses that is
16:34going to knock it down little bit for me
16:35but with that being said python
16:37developer if you type that in on
16:38LinkedIn at the entry level you're going
16:40to see 16 000 results and there's a ton
16:42of other random jobs you can go into
16:44this is another one of those if you type
16:45in Python developer on Glassdoor you're
16:47going to see they make about a hundred
16:48and one thousand dollars a year and yeah
16:50so this is one where you know on this
16:52channel I give you guys like practical
16:54advice and this is something that's
16:56probably going to hurt a little bit but
16:57chances are if you're somebody who kind
16:59of got into self-development you're
17:00trying to teach yourself these valuable
17:02skills there's a good chance that you
17:04have fallen in to the Trap of paralysis
17:06by analysis right you are information
17:09overloading yourself you're learning all
17:11this stuff but for one you're not
17:13actually learning it because it's too
17:16passive right you're watching all these
17:17videos on like python tutorials and
17:19stuff like that but it's too passive
17:20you're not actually learning it because
17:21you aren't applying it to the real world
17:23and then for two you are not showcasing
17:26the skills you're not creating projects
17:28that you can put in your portfolio and
17:30so what ends up happening is when you
17:32try to learn everything you end up
17:34learning nothing and so what I say over
17:36and over again on this channel that is
17:38the best thing to do is that you try to
17:40learn the skills that are essential for
17:43you Landing an entry-level job and
17:45nothing else because if you don't do
17:46that you are basically wasting a
17:48tremendous amount of your time and time
17:51is your most valuable resource and on
17:53top of wasting a bunch of time you
17:55probably also wasting a bunch of money
17:57as well and even more importantly than
17:58wasting money you're wasting opportunity
18:01costs because I'm being honest with you
18:02let's say you're starting tutorials like
18:03two years ago you probably could have
18:05gotten a job a year ago maybe even a
18:06year and a half ago and that's if you
18:08just focused on the things that you
18:10actually need to know to land an
18:12entry-level job so yeah for this one I'm
18:14gonna have to go ahead and give it a c
18:16tier status but if you disagree with me
18:18go ahead let me know why down in the
18:21comment section below everybody wins if
18:23you do this let me know the ones you
18:24agree with me on the ones you disagree
18:26with me on people can kind of like talk
18:27about their opinion on it it's
18:28especially useful if you've actually
18:30taken these certificates you can kind of
18:31give your opinion and your feedback on
18:33them and then everybody ends up winning
18:34right all right so next one on the list
18:37is going to be the Google It support
18:40certificate and this is basically the
18:42one that started it all so with this one
18:44there's a hundred and fifty three
18:45thousand ratings a ton of people have
18:48taken this one and it's 4.8 out of 5
18:50Stars so this is the one that is the
18:52oldest and most tested because I believe
18:54it was Google's very first certificate
18:56that they released and back when I first
18:59covered this certificate I was a little
19:01bit skeptical of it I wasn't sure if it
19:03was going to be as good as people were
19:04saying but over time more and more and
19:07more people had great outcomes with it
19:09and I just saw over and over again
19:11people getting results with the Google
19:12It support certificate now it support is
19:15a career that is super easy for you to
19:17break into and I know you're probably
19:18thinking right these certificates
19:20there's so many certificates in it oh my
19:22God you go to some event you get a
19:24certificate you take some kind of class
19:25on udemy you get a certificate and at
19:27the end of the day these certificates
19:28are almost like participation trophies
19:30and that's true for a lot of them don't
19:32get me wrong that's actually completely
19:33true but for the these Google support
19:35certificates they're actually incredibly
19:37valuable for three reasons and I get
19:40into these reasons in much more detail
19:41in the other videos that I do so make
19:43sure you check those out but basically
19:44for one the certificates are actually
19:47relatively respected by hiring managers
19:49recruiters and business owners the
19:51people who actually matter and the
19:52reason for that is because a brand name
19:54recognition people who see a certificate
19:57from Google IBM meta Etc they are going
20:00to respect that more than some random
20:02certificate from a company that they've
20:03never heard of the second reason is they
20:05give you access to job boards that you
20:07wouldn't have access to otherwise that
20:08hundreds of companies are a part of and
20:10then the third reason and this is
20:12probably the most ninja stuff I've ever
20:14talked about on this channel this is
20:15like basically a cheat code and that is
20:17when you put this on your LinkedIn
20:19profile whether you post about it or
20:21whether you put that you're actually
20:22taking the certificate you don't even
20:24need to finish it and so it's another
20:25way for you to get discovered and I had
20:27a ton of people tell me or comment on
20:29the YouTube channel that they were
20:31actually found from certificates through
20:33Linkedin so businesses actually reached
20:35out to them because of the fact that
20:37they put that they were taking the
20:38certificate on their LinkedIn profile so
20:40these certificates definitely do make a
20:41difference and they set you apart
20:43they're not necessarily going to get you
20:44100 of the way to a job like take you
20:46from zero to a hundred like some of the
20:48online courses that I recommend will but
20:50they might get you 80 90 of the way
20:52there and then you just have to get
20:54yourself the rest of the 10 there and
20:56typically that's going to involve making
20:57a really good portfolio and making sure
20:59that you have the skills necessary so
21:01there is like a million different little
21:03random it related jobs kind of like I
21:05talked about before when I went over the
21:07other it certificate but according to
21:09the certificate there's over 400 000
21:11in-demand job openings with it and I
21:13believe that and 75 percent of Google
21:15career certificate graduates report
21:17career Improvement and if you look at
21:19computer support Specialists there's
21:21over 875 000 jobs according to BLS now
21:24if you start off at a super entry level
21:26role like help desk for instance you can
21:28expect to make about forty six thousand
21:30dollars a year a little bit up from that
21:31would be systems analysts they make
21:33around 86 thousand dollars a year and
21:35there is a ton of different
21:36opportunities to get into an I.T it's
21:38probably the easiest way that you can
21:40get your foot in the door in the
21:42technology industry which is probably
21:44the best industry that you can work in
21:46the only other job that's as easy to get
21:48your foot in the door is Tech sales and
21:50let's be honest a lot of people you know
21:52they probably don't want to do Tech
21:53sales because it's a sales role so if
21:55you're not the type of person who wants
21:56to do sales prospecting marketing that
21:58sort of thing but you still want to get
21:59a really good job and you want to get
22:00into the technology industry it help
22:02desk is probably the best way to get
22:04there now if you're confused about what
22:06type of remote job you want to get or
22:08what entry-level jobs are available I
22:10actually made an entire entry-level job
22:12tier list which I highly recommend you
22:14check out right here
