03:17It's certainly not a pandemic anymore,

03:20and most Americans agree
that COVID is over.
03:23And to be fair and balanced
and a little salty to taste,
03:26COVID rates are largely way down.
03:29They seem to spike
specifically during the winter,
03:31which scans, but those
spikes aren't nearly as large
03:34as the Omicron wave back in old 2022.
03:39there were about 20,000
weekly hospitalizations
03:42in September of 2023.
03:44Of course if you're immunocompromised,
03:46that's still too many people,
03:47but for most Americans,
it don't matter to them.
03:51More like impoono-compromised, they say.
03:54I'm so sorry I said that.
03:56It's the Americans are saying that.
03:57The other Americans. Not me.
03:59Only 7% of Americans are, quote,
04:02very worried about
getting COVID and only 17%
04:06of eligible people actually
got the latest vaccine.

concerning on account of the fact
04:12that older Americans really
should be vaccinated regularly,
04:17So it's safe to assume
04:18that there will be
another spike this year,
04:20perhaps during a time when people
04:22are all out going to something,
04:25some kind of event that's close to winter
04:28where people gather really
close to each other, an orgy?

04:34Still, the possibility of
COVID returning in some big,
04:37terrifying way is slim.

didn't say COVID specifically.

05:07but COVID isn't the only
virus that will exist.
05:11There will be other bigger
05:12and probably worse pandemics
that we will have to deal with.

05:18but something very ridiculous
happened during COVID,
05:21a certain political party,
05:22when faced with an apolitical pandemic,
05:25decided to fight on the side of the virus.
05:27Do you remember that?
05:28When we learned that a huge portion
05:30of America apparently had
oppositional defiant disorder
05:33to the point that they
were willing to die instead
05:36of take basic and common sense measures
05:38to protect themselves
and others from COVID.
05:41And even now are still
putting out headlines
05:44absolutely terrified of having
05:46to put something over the
lower half of their face,
05:49the ultimate sacrifice!
05:51Boy, that's really, really stupid.
05:54Like when history looks back at that,
05:56it's gonna be very embarrassing
05:57and baffling, especially
since after all of that,
06:00one of the uniting actions
06:02that state governments
took from that ordeal,
06:04the more than 1 million deaths was to pass
06:07a series of laws designed
06:08to stop health agencies
from enacting mandates
06:11that would slow the next pandemic.
06:13No, (beeps), that's a thing that happened.
06:16Currently about 30 states
have made it harder
06:19for health officials to
issue basic protections,
06:22like mask mandates and distancing.
06:24In other words, lawmakers
saw a massive global pandemic
06:27that killed countless
and said, you know what?
06:30The real problem is having
to wear those pesky masks
06:34and then for the first time ever,
06:36they actually rushed through
laws as if it were a life
06:38and death scenario,
choosing to support death.
06:45It is beyond confusing to see
politicians land on the side
06:49of the virus that killed everyone.
06:51But here we are, beyond confused.
06:54And so it would perhaps be
nice to see someone rooting
06:58for the side that keeps people alive,
07:00especially now that we just saw
07:01the biggest wave since Omicron.
07:03Unfortunately the White House
has been silent on the issue.
07:07I wonder if there's a reason
they would just let people die
07:09instead of making a politically
unpopular health measure.
07:12Is there like some kind
07:13of political pageant happening soon?
07:16And while it's unlikely
07:17that we can issue mask mandates without
07:19a civil war apparently,
07:20there are things that
could be done right now
07:24Some suggestions from this article
07:25by The New Republic include
really obvious things,
07:28like renovating public spaces
07:30to have HEPA air filters,
07:31normalizing the use of
masks in specific places,
07:34promoting regular vaccinations,
07:36and making them easy to get,
07:38and pushing airlines to
waive cancellation fees
07:41during COVID spikes.
07:42You'll notice none of
that involves a mandate
07:45or forcing anything.
07:47Not that we're gonna do that
or anything about anything
07:51because even if COVID
numbers continue to go down
07:55even if we never get another
pandemic again, which we will,
07:58but even if we didn't, COVID
still isn't done with us.
08:02- Millions of Americans are
suffering with long COVID
08:06and it's unclear why.
08:08Doctors say it can happen to anyone
08:10and it can be debilitating.
08:11- Back in 2022, the CDC reported
08:14that about 18 million American adults have
08:18That's about 6.9% of adults, not nice.
08:22Out of that group, people
with symptoms were more likely
08:25to be unemployed than people without.
08:27And so it's safe to say that roughly two
08:29to four million Americans
can't work due to long COVID.
08:32For reference, that's more than
08:34the entire state of Connecticut.
08:35And don't you act like you don't care
08:37about Connecticut, okay?
08:38That's where the WWE Headquarters are.
08:41Certainly you want most of WWE to be able
08:45to work, right, right?
08:46My point here is that long COVID is going
08:48to be a problem for a lot of people,
08:50possibly for the rest of their lives.
08:52So you'd think that a good country run
08:55by non-dildos would be able
to easily take care of that,
08:59except this country that is
in fact run by yes-dildos
09:03really likes to pretend
things that are problems
09:07aren't problems and
even make policies based
09:10around the power of positive thinking.
09:12And so as of April, 2023,
09:14Joey Joe Biden signed a declaration
09:17that COVID was no longer a
national health emergency.
09:20He also flat out said that, quote,
09:23the pandemic is over in September of 2022.
09:26But with that official
declaration, a bunch of extra funds
09:29and benefits were halted,
pushing tons of citizens out
09:33of Medicaid and
effectively leaving America
09:35to twist in the wind,
because it's over, you see?
09:38Or to be more accurate,
it's now easy to ignore.
09:41And we can go back to a system
09:43where absolutely no new
protections are put in place
09:46for people struggling to survive.
09:48All safety measures are reversed
09:50and we can all be slammed just
as hard by the next pandemic,
09:54be it COVID or something new and exciting.
09:57Maybe we'll get it from worms.
09:59We could call it worm
germ and I can finally
10:02offload all those custom
hats I made while drunk.

13:30you can see the value he has as a person
13:32who will actually call on bull (beeps)
13:34on the people he's interviewing.
13:36He's also one of the
most prominent critics
13:38of the US and Israel's bombing of Gaza.
13:40Anyway, they pulled his show
13:42and demoted him, causing
him to quit the network.
13:45But, hey, maybe it's just a coincidence
13:47that he was yanked right
13:48after he began to question
Biden's support of Israel.
13:51You know, it's like

13:54Sometimes frogs fall from the sky
13:57and reporters get demoted
for questioning a genocide.

filled by Ayman Mohyeldin,
14:05a reporter who ironically
made headlines back in 2014
14:08for being pulled from Gaza on
the eve of a major conflict
14:12for, quote, security concerns,
14:14also known as Mohyeldin
being critical of Israel
14:18after seeing them kill
children with his own eyes.
14:21The network NBC would
blame this on infighting
14:24and bureaucracy and tried
14:26to downplay the connection, so random.
14:30But, hey, seems like this
keeps happening, right?

October 7th attacks,
14:37to remove three prominent
Muslim American journalists
14:40from their primetime positions.
14:42Just a lot of coincidences.
14:45Like in 2018 when Mark Lamont
Hill gave a speech in support
14:48of Palestine and then
coincidentally got fired
14:51from CNN right afterward.
14:53Or in 2021 when Emily Wilder tweeted about
14:55the double standards in
media coverage of Gaza
14:58and then was coincidentally
fired from the Associated Press.
15:02You know, just two
completely unrelated events
15:05where a reporter criticizes
Israel, the same week,
15:07they just happened to
be fired for no reason.
15:11Frogs and Tom Cruise with that greasy hair
15:14and junk, all random, just a
random thing keeps happening
15:19and will keep happening.
15:21Not just with Hasan and not
just with major companies.

15:29Here's a Palestinian journalist
at Global News who got fired
15:32for, no joke, expressing
grief on social media
15:36that people she knew were being killed.
15:40Here's an extremely levelheaded
tweet from Michael Eisen,

of eLife, saying quote,
15:45"Every sane person on earth is horrified
15:48and traumatized by what Hamas did
15:51and wants it to never happen again.
15:53All the more so as a
Jew with Israeli family.
15:56But I am also horrified
15:58by the collective punishment
already being meted out
16:00on Gazans and the worse
that is about to come."
16:04Hey, that's super reasonable.
16:08It's worth mentioning that the use
16:09of Gazans isn't accurate considering
16:11that they're Palestinians who
have been forced into Gaza,
16:13but it's still a good point.

16:19but all the other stuff he said.
16:21Even the framing of that
headline omits what he said
16:24and simply claims he was
endorsing a satirical article
16:27without mentioning that he was making
16:29a very nuanced statement in response
16:32to a headline from The Onion.
16:34This is, to be frank, out of control
16:38and it's just going to keep happening
16:39as the year progresses.
16:41Not to compare any two stories,
16:43but much like how we decided
to attack wearing masks

seems that our solution
16:48to the genocide that's happening
16:50is to blame anyone expressing
outrage over the deaths

people causing them.

26:07and this fits into a larger pattern
26:08of Rodgers being a pretty
simple conspiracy brain guy
26:12who just says stuff without
really thinking about it
26:15before having to either
double down or walk it back,
26:18otherwise known as the
perfect right-wing podcaster.
26:21Another extremely predictable
example is that he refused
26:25to get vaccinated back in
2021, opting to tell reporters
26:29that he was, quote, immunized from COVID.
26:33Meaning that he apparently
claimed that he was immune
26:35to the disease, which
wasn't true it turned out,
26:39as evidenced by him getting COVID
26:41and being forced to miss a game.
26:43Aaron would then claim
that he was allergic
26:46to the ingredients in the vaccine
26:48and opted to immunize
himself by taking a, quote,
26:51diluted strand of the virus orally.
26:55And when the NFL hired a medical expert
26:58to investigate this claim,
26:59they found no evidence of
that treatment working at all.
27:03Lord knows where he came up with that.
27:05Again just kinda seems like a silly guy
27:08who will easily believe anything
27:10if it confirms his worldview
because it slowly became clear
27:13that Aaron was just a weird
anti-vaxxer who refused
27:16to do even the most basic protections
27:19because he didn't like
being told to do stuff.
27:22- It was at that point
that I petitioned them
27:24to accept my immunization status
27:27as under their vaccination protocol.
27:31Now at the time, they had only had
27:34the big three was what they're gonna do.
27:36And if you weren't in
the vaccinated category,
27:43you were in a different category,
27:44which involved some draconian measures
27:48and protocols that you
would have to adhere to,
27:52which, in my opinion,
were not based on science.
27:54- If you're curious, the draconian
and unscientific measures
27:58the NFL required unvaccinated
players to take were
28:03and to continue social distancing and...
28:09Just those two draconian
and unscientific things.
28:14This keeps going. I don't
want it to, but it does.
28:17Because after failing to walk it back,
28:19Rodgers began to go full
tilt about the issue,
28:22getting into a beef with Travis Kelce
28:24for doing a commercial for the vaccine.
28:26Remember, this started with
Aaron Rodgers simply claiming
28:29that he specifically can't get the vaccine
28:33because his weak snowflake
of a body was allergic
28:36to its ingredients and now he's going
28:38after anyone who so much as
suggests that vaccines are good.
28:43- You know, Mr. Pfizer said
he didn't think he would be
28:46in a vax war with me.
28:48- Didn't think he'd be
in a vax war with me.
28:51This ain't a war, homie.
This is just conversation.
28:53- Ah, yes, all the best
28:55and smartest conversations start
28:57by calling someone Mr. Pfizer.
28:59Kelce ultimately turned down
Rodgers' call for a debate,
29:03presumably because he
had to win the Super Bowl
29:05and be with his family
29:06and have sex with the biggest pop star
29:08in the world and junk.
29:09But Rodgers never let it go.
29:11And finally, after years of being
29:13a weird little conspiracy freak,
29:15perpetually picking fights
above his weight class,
29:17that's a sports term, Pat
McAfee couldn't take it anymore,
29:21and booted Rodgers from being
a weekly guest on the show
29:24while still saying that
he'd get to show up
29:27Not exactly a punishment
29:29and also he had him on like the next day,
29:31but whatever, this is all to
say that Aaron Rodgers has
29:34a lot of bad opinions, a recent injury,
29:37and extra time on his hands.

30:28But his pal Ghislaine Maxwell is ha-ha.
30:33Ghislaine settled a defamation
case against a woman
30:36who claimed to be sex trafficked
30:38by Epstein back when she was a teenager.
30:40And thanks to a freedom
of information lawsuit
30:42by the Miami Herald,
30:44a bunch of documents from
that case have been released.
30:47This is what Aaron Rodgers
has been gloating about
30:49as his Epstein list, which, by
the way, isn't really a list.
30:53It's more like a 4,553-page pile
30:56that includes somewhere in there,
30:59150 people mentioned during
that defamation trial.
31:02And so two things can be true.
31:04Number one, these new
documents didn't contain
31:07any new smoking gun
against a public figure.
31:10And number two, Bill Clinton
and Donald Trump are rapists.
31:15who the new and old evidence
very much implicates.
31:18Also a bunch of other
rich people, most likely.
31:21It's safe to say that, for me at least,
31:23because I know karate.
31:24As for the two schlubby former presidents,
31:27all that's been said is
that they were likely
31:29at least aware of what Epstein was doing
31:32because he was apparently very
open about it to the point
31:35that his home was filled with
nude pictures of young girls.
31:39I don't think you have
to be a pedophile expert
31:41to walk into someone's home
31:42and see big signs that read
pedophile beer on their walls
31:47and also be a bit concerned about that,
31:49unless you were also a pedophile.
31:52Point being that Clinton, Trump,
31:54and let's not forget Alan Dershowitz,
31:55were all mentioned a lot as close friends
31:58or associates of Epstein.
32:00So it's hard to imagine a situation
32:02where they weren't aware.
32:04Like hypothetically if
I smoked a lot of weed
32:06and kept it around my house everywhere
32:08and Katy came to my
house a lot and hung out,
32:11if Katy was also smoking
weed, hypothetically.
32:14She could at least, you know,
32:16be cool with weed, hypothetically.
32:18Also in this scenario,
32:19Katy constantly talked about
how she wanted to smoke weed,
32:22often walked in on other
people smoking weed,
32:24and was seen leering at weed at a party
32:27while standing next to me.

32:31Trump pointing out women
dancing in front of them.
32:34- Donald Trump is a rapist,
like a really obvious rapist.
32:37He apparently once had a party
32:38where the guest list was
just himself, Epstein,

32:45Anyway, I bring up Trump specifically
32:47and not Clinton, who's also a rapist,
32:49because of how the right reacted
32:51to the towering evidence against Trump.
32:53In short, sad denial.
32:56You see, because these recent
documents have two witnesses
32:59claiming that they never saw
Trump on Epstein's islands,
33:03a series of very good brains have decided
33:05that this clears him of all accusations,
33:08which you may have noticed
requires ignoring all
33:12And what I want to highlight
there are the words
33:15of Mr. Turd, specifically him claiming
33:17that, quote, "Pretty much
everybody else is guilty."
33:21I think that's the really
telling detail here,
33:24which brings us all the way
back to those quotation marks
33:27because the Epstein documents
are, as I mentioned,
33:30really long, no one is going
to go through all of that.
33:33We just wanted a list, you know?
33:34Give us the list, something
snazzy and searchable,
33:38perhaps read by David Letterman.
33:40But since we didn't get that,
33:41these new Epstein documents can be used
33:43to claim really anything.
33:46The right specifically
loves inserting this story
33:48into larger conspiracies designed
33:50to cover up uncomfortable realities.
33:52Trump gets raided by the FBI?
33:54Well, the judge who did it was
tied to Epstein, of course.
33:58Nevermind that the judge
was actually a lawyer
34:00for Epstein's employees
34:01and just happened to be the judge on duty
34:03to sign the search warrant.
34:05These people seem to have
a child-like understanding
34:07of how the world works
and they will continue
34:09to use these documents to say
just about whatever they want
34:13and deflect in any way they can.
34:15- It's not like he got
lenient sentences for (beeps)
34:17and then mysteriously
died in his prison cell
34:20and all of the footage went missing
34:22and no one knows how he suddenly was able
34:24to end his own life.
34:25Yet stop thinking about
it. Just get on with it.
34:27The New York Times could be relied on,
34:29to tell you the truth.
34:30There's nothing to see here.
Trust the legacy media.

guy who knew a lot of people
34:55and so it stands to reason
34:56that not everyone he knew was part
34:58of a grand pedophile conspiracy.
35:00That's most likely the case,
35:02except a portion of the
country lost their minds
35:04over Pizzagate a few years back
35:06and they're actually willing to accept
35:07that there is this massive
thousands upon thousands
35:11of people, conspiracy of
pedophiles that just happens
35:13to include all the people
they specifically don't like
35:16and discludes Trump.
35:18The person who happens to be
one of the most implicated.
35:22It's just a wild card for them.
35:24They can point to anyone famous and say,
35:26"I bet you're a pedophile,"
with no actual evidence.
35:29And I'm willing to bet
that before the year ends,
35:31it's going to happen
on the political stage,
35:35by the guy who is almost
definitely a rapist.
35:38And besides it being a totally
grotesque monkey (beeps)
35:42of a display, the bigger tragedy is that
35:44it will greatly distract
us from figuring out
35:47who was actually involved in this.

when it comes to advertising.

43:54then he wouldn't care about
it making money, right?

it wouldn't make money
44:01and would be so altruistic
as to pay for it himself
44:04because you can't do both, right?
44:06You either make an anarchist

of everything you should do

45:05In short, he turned a flawed
site into a crumbling hellhole,

it is to look at all of this
45:20and say that Twitter is dying,

prediction a little bit
45:23by explaining exactly how it'll die.
45:26So did you know that Twitter fired all
45:28of their election
misinformation moderators?

that or rather assumed it.
45:33So I think perhaps Twitter
is going to get really,
45:36really bad this November,
45:37for some reason that I forget,
45:39some kind of race is happening.

that Twitter is failing
45:46and dig into moderation
laws around Twitter,
45:48we're gonna start seeing
some nasty lawsuits,
45:51maybe even some crimes get exposed.
45:53And no matter what Elon Musk will say,
45:56quietly they'll be trying to play ball.

put Twitter all the way back
46:04to where it started before he bought it,

will just end up dying

in some kind of acronym,
49:43and now DEI, AKA diversity,
equity and inclusion.
49:48The looming threat that colleges
49:49and institutions are overrun
49:51by politically correct liberals has been
49:53a thing since at least the 90s.
49:55So have Republicans been
going after affirmative action
49:57for decades and it's never
actually been a problem, right?
50:01You would assume that
if PC culture was out
50:03of control 30 years ago,
50:05we'd see some kind of
evidence of that today.
50:07Am I missing something?
50:09Are white people struggling now
50:10or rather struggling
worse than other races?
50:13We're all doing not
great, generally speaking.
50:17Being inclusive and compassionate
50:19and seeking equity doesn't
really cause a lasting harm
50:22the way, say, pollution or poverty
50:24or a new terrible "Indiana Jones" does.
50:26Like maybe it's caused
some problems somewhere,
50:29but not enough to make
it this huge battle.
50:32This is all to point out how strange it is
50:34that conservatives are able to get away
50:36with making a large portion
of their agenda devoted
50:39to fighting against an invisible threat
50:41that never actually happens for decades.
50:44And perhaps we should stop
entertaining them at all
50:46when they bring this stuff up.
50:47We certainly shouldn't make
political policies around it.

problem with DEI for real
50:57- Two weeks ago, Elon Musk
posted on X that, quote,
51:02Turns out he might have
been on to something.
51:05- DEI frameworks have largely
failed Jewish students
51:08- Outrage over diversity,
equity and inclusion.
51:13and now it's reached
Johns Hopkins Hospital,
51:16one of the world's finest.
51:17- Claudine Gay was the
symbol of the DEI regime
51:21that has conquered American academic life.
51:23- The Biden Administration wants
51:25to spend $280 million on DEI initiatives.
51:29- It seems like obviously
this is a dangerous business
51:32when you are focused on DEI
51:35and maybe less focused on engineering
51:37and safety, which you should
be when you build airplanes,
51:40which people can die in.
51:41- The values of Israel and
America very much align.
51:45And once we start seeing
those values disintegrate,
51:47and that's coming in through DEI,
51:49through anti-racism, through SEL.
51:52- Is that DEI, this, this
poisonous alphabet soup,
51:55DEI, CRT, BDS, that's being crammed down
51:58to these young skulls as being exposed
52:01for the hollow, for the false
God that it actually is.
52:06They're just gonna throw everything
52:08at the wall and hope it sticks, awesome.
52:09DEI is why planes crash
52:12and how Hamas wins apparently.
52:14And so while we're not going
to get into the CRT panic,
52:17we should probably look
into what DEI actually is,
52:20starting with the headlines
52:21that major companies are
downsizing their DEI programs.
52:25Those stories often highlight
tech companies cutting
52:27a portion of their DEI
staff as well as the fact
52:30that DEI-related job
postings have dropped.
52:33I'd argue neither of those two things have
52:35to do with DEI programs
being bad for business
52:37as conservatives are framing it.
52:39- You know, we gotta make
profits and DEI isn't working.
52:41Great idea on paper.
52:43Maybe in theory, not good for business.
52:45- See, the narrative going on
is that DEI created a bunch
52:48of diverse hires that
made the businesses worse
52:51and now they are walking
back their policies.
52:54You might notice that as
being a very racist narrative
52:57that happens to be mirrored
by the (beeps) richest man
53:00They want us to think that airlines
53:02and other companies brought
on unqualified employees
53:06because they were diverse and then failed
53:08because of that and are now
walking that policy back.
53:12This also very insidiously
gives them a false justification
53:16for decades upon decades
of systemic racism,
53:19a way to justify a legacy
53:21of institutions being cartoonishly white.
53:25it's not a history of discrimination
53:26if you pretend that Brown people
53:28are simply less competent
all along, such a plot twist.
53:32We weren't racist after all.
53:34It's the minority's fault, you see?
53:36Super unracist position to
have I say with sarcasm.
53:40And of course the hope here
is to use this narrative
53:43to shame institutions out
of making actual efforts
53:46to mitigate a system
built on white supremacy.
53:49It's a conservative wet dream,
53:50a narrative where not
only is diversity bad,
53:53but discrimination never happened
53:55and we don't have to change at all.
53:57But this narrative has
53:59a key problem besides being racist.
54:01Specifically that none
54:03of these institutions actually
made diversity efforts
54:07See, DEI does suck, but not
for the reasons they say.
54:11It sucks 'cause they didn't do it.
54:13Airlines, for example, did
not increase their diversity
54:15after their DEI measures.
54:17Pilots and engineers are
still 92% white and male.
54:20So, wait, if diversity
isn't why airlines are bad,
54:24I wonder what it actually is.
54:27Perhaps some other reason
involving the airlines giving
54:29their CEOs obscene raises
while cutting all other costs.
54:32Anyway, the same goes for tech companies.
54:35Google has barely moved the
needle with diversity hires.
54:38All of these corporations made
54:39this big performative push in 2020,
54:42did nothing to actually improve diversity,
54:45and they're now scaling
back those programs.
54:47That's likely why job
postings have dropped,
54:49because there was a bump
when they hired everyone
54:52and that bump went down, because
they already hired people.
54:56You don't need to keep hiring people
54:57for the same ultra specific
positions every year, right?
55:00And in fact, besides
these major companies,
55:03DEI efforts are actually still expanding,
55:06which would be good if
they actually did anything.
55:09In fact, a lot of places are
rebranding DEI completely
55:12thanks to this new conservative attack,
55:14which means that what seems like shrinking
55:17is actually just pivoting.
55:19As for education and college campuses,
55:21it's kinda the same story there.
55:23Despite it being treated like
a looming threat to teachers,
55:26most DEI school offices have
very little funding or power.
55:29To quote, a professor from
Pennsylvania State University,
55:32"They struggle for resources
55:33and don't have much power
of enforcement at all.
55:36Nobody's hired or fired in a university
55:38because of what a DEI office says.
55:40It doesn't work that way.
55:42It's mostly an advisory
or aspirational office."
55:45It's harmless, so harmless
that it's actually useless?
55:49In fact, the most use DEI seems to have
55:53is to give conservatives
something to pretend
55:56It's a performative measure
55:57being performatively battled
like a ren faire puppet show.
56:00Last year, our new favorite loser,
56:03Ron DeSantis, signed a bill
banning DEI in public colleges.
56:09Utah passed a law to restrict
this make-belief threat,
56:12as is the governor of Oklahoma
trying to do the same.
56:16In all these cases, they
are just beating down
56:18an already beaten thing.
56:20These departments are
barely hanging on already,
56:23like taking a shotgun
56:24to those aforementioned ren faire puppets.
56:27And what sucks about all
of this is that the concept
56:32Even huge dumb piece of
(beeps) Elon Musk agrees.
56:35Schools and corporations should
56:37have departments making real efforts
56:39to increase diversity
56:40if only because diversity
objectively improves things.
56:43Like according to research,
56:45it makes people and
companies more successful.
56:48And much like we saw with CRT,
56:50this crusade against DEI is
just going to punish any action
56:54that has a hint of diversity to it.
56:57To continue the metaphor,
56:59the shotgun blast will
not only disintegrate
57:01the ren faire puppet,
57:02but spray the entire
audience with buckshot.
57:05Awesome puppet show though.
57:06Oh my God, it was so fun and
(beeps) up. What a weird show.
57:13Texas A&M University announced the hiring
57:15of a Black professor
57:16to breathe new life into
their journalism school.
57:19This extremely experienced professor
57:22who had spent 20 years working
57:23for The New York Times also happened
57:26to have a background studying inclusion
57:28and race in relation to newsrooms.
57:30And that background was enough
for some people to put up
57:35that A&M ended up downgrading
her contract so much
57:39that she didn't take the job.
57:40It was such a screw up
57:42that the school ended up paying her
57:43a million dollar settlement
and the president
57:46of the school resigned.
57:49how does any of that address
the conservative fears of DEI?
57:54If they aren't just
racists, which they are,
57:56but pretending they aren't,
then isn't the entire fear
58:00that unqualified people get
jobs because they're a minority?
58:04to prove they aren't racist by celebrating
58:06an extremely qualified
Black person getting a job?
58:10But again, they're just racist, right?
58:12Like objectively speaking, if
DEI is not actually effective
58:16and companies aren't
actually that diverse,
58:19then why go after it?
58:20You can only look racist doing this.
58:23You're just like, well, a plane crashed.
58:25Surely it was the Black pilot.
58:27What a weird thing they've agreed to do.
58:30It's just, they just wanna
court racist, is the thing.
58:33Oh, there's also one other reason.
58:34(eerie music)

58:36There will be increasing
attacks on educators.
58:39(smoke roars)
(smoke sizzling)
58:41Right, I mean, as far as predictions go,
58:43this is like saying that
the ocean will continue
58:46At least I hope it is. Is that...
58:49I haven't checked on the ocean in a while.
58:50Are we doing, we're not
doing climate change
58:51in this episode, all right.
58:52We'll address that later.
58:55What I mean is that
conservatives have been going
58:57after schools in the
education system for a while
59:00and so it's safe to say they
will continue to do that,
59:03mainly with all this DEI business,
59:05but also they recently
found a brand new tactic,
59:08accusations of plagiarism.
59:10Now plagiarism sucks. Don't do it.
59:14I actually have an upcoming
four-hour video about it,
59:16so check that out when it publishes.
59:18And I would argue, most people
feel the same way as I do.
59:22It's an easy thing to create outrage over.
59:24Even when the accusations are minor,
59:26sometimes it's just too
late when the dust settles.
59:29And so theoretically, it's
a good weapon to wield
59:32against someone you already don't like.
59:34So let's say there was some kind
59:36of school official who
both represented diversity
59:39and also had committed the terrible crime
59:41of not condemning Hamas
with every breath they take.
59:44Let's call them Dr. Claudine Gay,
59:47Harvard's first Black president
59:49who recently stepped down
59:50because of plagiarism accusations
59:52concerning several
academic papers she wrote
59:54going back to the 90s.
59:56It's totally made-up person.
59:57So we have this Black woman supportive
59:59of diversity in charge of a college
01:00:01where many students
publicly criticized Israel
01:00:04and whose name is literally Gay.
01:00:06I'm sure conservatives
were mostly mad about
01:00:09the plagiarism and nothing else.
01:00:10Probably a coincidence
that this woman was already
01:00:13in their cross hairs having
01:00:15to even undergo a congressional
hearing about Israel
01:00:17and accusations of antisemitism
from protestors on campus.
01:00:20Then these plagiarism accusations
spring up several days
01:00:24after the hearing by Chris Rufo,
01:00:27a conservative dip who has
very publicly taken credit
01:00:30for inventing the CRT panic
as a political tactic.
01:00:34Chris's entire MO is finding
the next artificial moral panic
01:00:38that Republicans can wield
to keep their base attentive
01:00:41and is very much focused on using schools
01:00:44as an ideological battleground.
01:00:46- Claudine Gay was the
symbol of the DEI regime
01:00:49that has conquered American academic life.
01:00:52- He's also one of the
people who drummed up outrage
01:00:54for Drag Queen Story Hour,
01:00:56a thing you may notice
01:00:58that conservatives just
stopped talking about.
01:01:01So it's amazing people give credence
01:01:04to anything he says anymore.
01:01:06And yet Dr. Gay would end up having
01:01:08to resign from her position
01:01:10because of these plagiarism
accusations, which, oh,
01:01:13did I mention they weren't that severe.
01:01:15And don't get me wrong
here, there was plagiarism.
01:01:17I'm not letting her off
the hook completely.
01:01:19But to quote the independent
investigation into this,
01:01:22in nine instances, her articles, quote,
01:01:25paraphrased or reproduced the language
01:01:27of others without quotation marks
01:01:29and without sufficient and
clear crediting of sources.
01:01:32That's not great. It's bad actually.
01:01:34But according to the
author she lifted from,
01:01:37nothing Gay had done equated
01:01:38to the, quote, theft of ideas.
01:01:41In fact, the only author
01:01:42who was upset about this
was a one Carol M. Swain
01:01:46who happens to be a frequent guest
01:01:48on conservative media and
has spoken out against CRT
01:01:51and by spoken out, I mean she
wrote an entire book about
01:01:56- And some of the worst ideas
in human history have come
01:01:59from professional educators
01:02:02and we cannot trust them with our children
01:02:05because they have agendas
01:02:07that's very much rooted
in cultural Marxism.
01:02:10It's about turn down
traditional structures,
01:02:13the family, marriage, church, on and on.
01:02:17- Oh yeah, seems like a great
judge of educational matters.
01:02:20That must be why she's a professor
01:02:22at the nada university Prager University.
01:02:24I don't want people to think
that I'm absolving Dr. Gay
01:02:27of the mistakes she made
01:02:28or even implying that they
were innocent mistakes.
01:02:31It's more that this specific accusation
01:02:33of plagiarism is just so
transparently not about the ethics
01:02:38of plagiarism and is more
about conservatives finding
01:02:41a way to go after an educator.
01:02:43For example, you may have
seen hedge fund billionaire,
01:02:46Bill Ackman go after Dr. Gay
01:02:48when they were still
calling for her removal.
01:02:50And then perhaps you saw
the immediate revelation
01:02:54that Ackman's wife had also
done a plagiarism while at MIT,
01:02:58but way, way worse than what Dr. Gay did.
01:03:00Apparently she copied
01:03:02and pasted from Wikipedia
01:03:04to which Bill Ackman extensively tried
01:03:06to argue was totally okay
01:03:08because MIT didn't specifically say
01:03:11you can't copy from Wikipedia?
01:03:13In other words, he didn't actually care.
01:03:17Like obviously he didn't care
01:03:19because it was never about plagiarism.
01:03:21It was a hit by the right
01:03:23for political reasons orbiting
this weird racist resentment
01:03:26around DEI policies.
01:03:28And because it worked this time,
01:03:30we're going to continue seeing attempts
01:03:31to oust school figures
01:03:32for petty things all at the
cost of schools of course.
01:03:36And on the other side of things,
01:03:37we're also going to see more
01:03:39and more ghouls infiltrate our schools
01:03:42for the singular purpose
01:03:43of pushing a political
ideology on children.
01:03:46The exact thing they keep
accusing the left of doing.
01:03:50I don't know how many times we should
01:03:52or need to beat this drum,
01:03:54but I would reckon that the
reason conservatives see schools
01:03:57and education as a
threat has nothing to do
01:03:59with ideology being pushed.
01:04:01They seem to be threatened
01:04:02by very basic curriculum
teaching things like history
01:04:05or empathy, and maybe they
should reflect on that.
01:04:09You know how Republicans are
really good at reflecting
01:04:11on stuff and learning from mistakes?
01:04:13About as good as Democrats, I guess.
01:04:15Bad, they're both bad at
it, is what I'm saying.

01:04:32that there will be an election in 2024.
01:04:34I can just like look around
01:04:36and see that that's true you know?
01:04:38And it is, it's true. It's happening.
01:04:40It's not hard to assume that
it'll be Trump versus Biden
01:04:43because it's already that.
01:04:44I mean, I guess Nikki
Haley's still around,
01:04:46but, you know, come on.
01:04:48I mean, like really?
01:04:49Like, come on, come on.
01:04:54I'm not really gonna make any
prediction in this segment
01:04:57so much as give us all a chance to reflect
01:04:59on how profoundly clown
(beeps) this election
01:05:02It is hard to even fathom.
01:05:04It's like trying to imagine
the size of the sun.
01:05:07For starters, one of the candidates
01:05:08is facing 91 felony counts
01:05:11the same time he's running for office.
01:05:13Those charges include,
01:05:14but aren't limited to
falsifying business records
01:05:17to pay off women he had sex with,
01:05:18racketeering, a very clear case
01:05:20of him refusing to hand over documents
01:05:22and of course trying to
steal the 2020 election.
01:05:25Meanwhile, Trump has made it clear
01:05:27that he will not keep his
mouth shut as if he's trying
01:05:30to see how many lawyers he can kill
01:05:32with stress-induced heart failure.
01:05:34It's honestly hard to
imagine him winning most
01:05:36of these cases, as so many
people have flipped on him.
01:05:40Ultimately a lot of this will come down
01:05:42to the Supreme Court,
which will have a lot
01:05:44of trouble justifying it
if they side with a guy
01:05:46who coincidentally hired a bunch of them.
01:05:49I mean, I'm sure they'll
find a way though.
01:05:51If Trump is lucky, he'll be
able to push the date back
01:05:54for a lot of these cases
until after the election,
01:05:57because if he becomes the President,
01:05:59none of this will matter,
01:06:00for many, many, many grim reasons.
01:06:05It's probably a great motivator for him
01:06:06to do a good job running for president
01:06:09because if he loses,
01:06:11then he'll probably
just go to jail, right?
01:06:14In a lot of ways,
01:06:15this next election is
the ultimate stress test,
01:06:17not only on the cardiovascular
system for Trump's staff
01:06:20and the integrity of our
elections in the Supreme Court,
01:06:24but the Republican Party's ability
01:06:25to protect itself from reality.
01:06:28For the next year, they are going to have
01:06:29to pretend like Trump is innocent
01:06:31of these obvious crimes.
01:06:33And I'm guessing that a
lot of them are hoping that
01:06:36in the event that Trump loses,
01:06:38they will finally try
to pivot away from him.
01:06:41Because it's not like
Biden is hard to defeat.
01:06:44But until then, this
election will be a game
01:06:47of distractions and misinformation.
01:06:49And I guess my prediction is
01:06:51that everything we talked
about in this video
01:06:53will come up during the
campaigns, and in fact,
01:06:56Trump's likelihood of being
elected will hinge on it.
01:06:59His mishandling of the pandemic
01:07:01will surely come up during debates.
01:07:03He'll have to be like, I'm
the one who made the vaccine,
01:07:05which is poison, by the way.
01:07:07Also brought up will be
Biden's terrible policies
01:07:10on Palestine met equally
01:07:11with Trump's terrible plan
for handling Palestine.
01:07:14Trump and other right wing candidates
01:07:17will most definitely label
their opponents as pedophiles,
01:07:20and Lord knows Twitter will be
01:07:22a rat festival of misinformation.
01:07:24Can't wait to see Elon discuss DEI
01:07:26with Trump on Twitter spaces.
01:07:28Oof, DEI will no doubt
be the central issue
01:07:32of multiple GOP campaigns, as
will great replacement stuff,
01:07:36of course, just gonna throw that in there.
01:07:38As will accusations of plagiarism
and attacks on education.
01:07:42This is all on the table,
