00:09What's up y'all, this is Addison Rae, and
I'm about to breakdown some TikTok lyrics
00:12on Between the Lines.
00:16Any time I hear a song now, I always
think, oh this could possibly be a good song
00:21The For You page has made it so easy for people
to see people, things, music, videos that
00:27they've never seen before.
00:28I feel like it's really important to me that
I do have that influence on other people and
00:35There's so many small artists that make amazing
music, and they aren't really as known.
00:38So, for me to be given the opportunity to
even boost their career in the slightest bit
00:44Hopefully I can do that for a lot more artists
that are trying to start out in the music industry.
00:56I've probably done a total of four to five
videos to the Savage song, so I'm definitely
01:08I think with Beyonce hopping on the song,
it obviously elevated it to a whole other level.
01:15Everyone got super excited once again for
an already really huge dance on the app.
01:19So, it was really smart and Beyonce's a legend.
01:34So, these lyrics are obviously very heartfelt
to me because I am Addison Rae, and I think
01:41it's really amazing that there is a song that
even mentions my name in it in the slightest bit.
01:47My message to Kid Laroi is thank you, because
I don't know if I can say it enough but bringing
01:53me into the world of music and into the industry
a little bit more has been so much fun and
01:59so amazing, and I owe that all to you.
02:10My mom and I had actually done a dance to
this song, and Mariah Carey ended up seeing
02:16the video and liking it.
02:17I thought it was so crazy.
02:18My mom and I have always listened to Mariah
Carey.
02:20Growing up, I was always listening to Mariah
Carey.
02:23Her liking my video opened up a door for people
to see me and my videos more.
02:29I mean, I've always talked about this video
and this song because it was my first viral video.
02:36I'm sure one day we'll cross paths hopefully,
and I'll be like, "Thank you for this amazing
02:41song because it changed my life."
02:48So, this song based itself off of a TikTok.
02:52In the video, she had a bearded dragon, which
is super cool because I had a bearded dragon
02:58Last year actually, I had a bearded dragon.
02:59My bearded dragon's name was Sniper.
03:01From Sniper Gang, from Kodak Black, is kinda
where I got that name from.
03:05I love animals, so the fact that this song
is based off of a bearded dragon is pretty
03:11It's really cool to see that just a regular
TikTok could turn into something like a really
03:31So, this song is a jokingly diss track that
was made by the Sway boys, and it was joking
03:39with the Hype House.
03:41I think it was just a fun little thing that
they decided to participate in.
03:46There's no hard feelings, everyone in the
community of TikTok loves each other, and
03:51we've all gotten past all the drama.
03:53But, it's just for fun.
03:55I think it's really interesting seeing people
that did start on social media expand their
04:01careers into the music industry.
04:02I do know Josh and Bryce definitely did this
as a joke.
04:06I don't know if they'd be TikTokers turned
rappers, but maybe if they decided one day,
04:12I'm sure they could make anything happen if
they put their minds to it.
04:23This song means a big deal to me because I
was in the music video, which is super cool.
04:29It was actually shot at the Hype House, in
the iconic bathroom, and there's two clips
04:35of me dancing the TikTok dance into the music
video.
04:39It was really cool that Lil Mosey decided
to reach out to us, and want to incorporate
04:44I thought it was definitely a really fun experience
that hopefully I get to do more of.
05:03So many amazing songs weren't on the platform
because the platform wasn't as known back
05:09So, I think now these are amazing songs that
people have always loved, and now that they
05:13can bring them to the app, and just make new
trends and different types of things out of
05:18I did a video to it, with David Dobrik, which
was really funny.
05:23Quarantine times call for quarantine TikToks,
so we did it on my computer, and I lifted
05:29it up, and he did the little adlibs.
05:31I got the idea from a friend, and it started
a huge trend, which is really cool.
05:49I did a video to this song with my family,
and I literally just moonwalked.
05:52I listened to it, so I was like, "Right foot
up, left foot slide.”
05:57Seeing an artist take advantage of what TikTok
has to offer is so smart.
06:02Any song that gets an amazing dance done to
it and turns into a trend is always a plus
06:17Growing up as a dancer, I feel like it's always
super important to have a song that does have
06:21hits in it that I can incorporate moves into,
and the fact that this song has so many just
06:27made it really catchy.
06:29And shout out to the person that made this
dance because it definitely took off and became
06:33I never had heard this song before TikTok,
so it was cool to find one and put it on my
06:39playlist now that I found off of TikTok.
06:48Clearly TikTok has had so much influence
on the music industry at this point.
06:53Not only does it really bring songs to the
top of the charts.
06:56But, obviously artists are really enjoying
being on the app, and bringing their music
07:00to the platform, and I think there's no better
way to do that than incorporate the app into their music.
07:08I think my favorite...
07:10I still want to say Addison Rae because you
know, it makes sense.
07:15If I had to have someone namedrop me, I feel
like Trippie Redd or Lil Uzi would be really
07:20cool, but also Drake.
07:23Future would be a really cool one too.
07:25I don't know, I love so many rap artists,
I can't even choose.
07:28Even whenever someone makes a SoundCloud song, I'm like, "Oh my gosh."
07:31I freak out because I think it's the coolest
thing ever.
07:35I have only tried Faygo in the smallest amounts.
07:39I've tried the root beer one and the red one,
but I don't know, I'm really not a fan of
07:47I usually just try to stick with water and
teas.
07:52That's sounds so crazy, but yeah.
07:54I mean, it's definitely, it's good for little
sips in the day, but I don't know, I'm more
