00:07little bit later and you'll know why in
00:09a second cuz uh the guys here have some
00:12secrets that are going to be revealed
00:15today this is uh Jay right next to me Mr
00:18jrocket and this is Chris they'll walk
00:20us through what exactly is new at
00:22jrocket but before we get into the new
00:24baby I wanted to just ask you how you
00:26doing what are you up to what are the
00:28plans for for this new year 2024 doing
00:32good we're doing good we have a lot of
00:34products that we are working on
00:36currently um this year we're hoping to
00:39really release total potentially four
00:42products so and we brought one here as
00:45kind of a early teaser so um but yeah
00:49that's our plan and our next release can
00:53I show you our next release oh is that
00:54all right oh yeah oh yeah all right so
00:57this is our air child
01:01660 and okay okay I kind of have a a
01:05feeling I know what that refers to yes
01:07this is a compressor based on the famous
01:47can I hand that to you he can take you
01:50through it for us has a good weight good
01:52weight to it so uh what are we looking
01:54at well obviously you can't recreate an
01:57entire Fair child um if it's basically
02:00arsonic interpretation of one um we
02:03didn't want to come out with another you
02:04know typical guitar compressor you know
02:06based on the the same circuit
02:09so we we were kind of torn because yes
02:13we want it to be a guitar oriented sound
02:17but it's hard to fight against the sound
02:19the traditional sound that's been
02:21created by your your old school
02:23compressors over the years because
02:24that's a guitar sound it's kind of more
02:26like a limiter really just kind of
02:28crushes everything this thing actually
02:30really enhances it's like when you turn
02:31it off you're you immediately want it
02:48on feels better sounds better it's got
02:51what I refer to is that Fairchild growl
02:54um you know without turning knobs we
02:56have a tilt EQ so when you turn it to
02:58the right turn turn it this way you're
03:01adding treble and reducing base when you
03:03turn it this way the opposite adding
03:06base reducing treble and of course we
03:08have a blend control so you can blend in
03:10the dry signal and and it's it's
03:12certainly not complicated certainly not
03:15as much as a fair child so yes we we
03:17can't claim that it's a perfect
03:19iteration of a fair child but sonically
03:21and uh just the feel that it gives you
03:23is is pretty spoton pretty remarkable
03:27especially doing it without tubes but uh
03:29this enclosure which is very compact
03:31it's like a very usable size in case any
03:34of you are not familiar what a Fairchild
03:37is it's it's one of the like the the the
03:40best and most beloved traditional
03:42classic Studio compressors which is much
03:45more than just actually squashing the
03:47tone it's it's the sweetener it's the
03:49thing you use for so many instruments
03:51obviously for guitars as well but not
03:53just for guitars it's um it's one of
03:55those like the 1176 the la2a Fairchild
03:58is like it's it's a sweetener right much
04:03would you recommend using this for other
04:05instruments as well except for like
04:07guitars and bases anything else
04:09absolutely it's uh I mean some things
04:11you might have to convert to line level
04:13things like that but um you know for the
04:15most part it's just an excellent
04:17compression circuit but combined with a
04:20great EQ circuit and you know a lot of
04:23people don't understand compression I I
04:24can't claim to be the expert but in a
04:26studio the best best uh description of
04:30compression for me was it's the opposite
04:32of Reverb and when you think about that
04:35right such a such a good way to explain
04:39what yeah it really does so you know
04:43it I don't know it's it's a hard to
04:45describe it's one of those things that
04:46you have to experience
05:25we targeted tones for guitar we wanted
05:27to go after the Lowel George SL tone and
05:30the mark knofler tone right so something
05:33that makes your guitar sing something
05:35that makes it uh feel like it like a lot
05:37of compressors all of a sudden you don't
05:39feel like you're playing a guitar you're
05:40fighting it this one enhances it and
05:42that's that was that's the sweetener
05:45right that's what we really went for
05:46from the get-go so it was a difficult it
05:49was a difficult accomplishment you know
05:50it's not with the limited parts and
05:53without tubes things like that it it
05:55took a lot of tweaking and and of course
05:57you know we wanted to make it look retro
05:58old school with those mark Cony knobs so
06:00and living in Nashville right I have
06:02access to a lot of guys that really
06:04understand what good compression sounds
06:06like so we bounced it off of a lot of
06:08different players out there so very
06:10happy with it it's so cool thank you so
