00:08the channel and a very interesting one
00:10Subaru is a very interesting company
00:12we're really glad that we're given the
00:14opportunity to review their cars so here
00:16it is in today's video we're going to do
00:19a proper technical review under the hood
00:21underneath the car we're going to look
00:22at the outside the inside some things we
00:24like some things we do not like and
00:26everything in between right after this
00:42let's start our technical review under
00:44the hood now the Subaru cross trk could
00:46be optioned with two engines almost
00:49identical engines the first one is a 2 L
00:52boxer engine now Subaru with boxer
00:56that's their signature that is their
00:57thing first one is the FB 20 2 L boxer
01:01engine the second one is the
01:03fb25 boxer engine 4cylinder engine so
01:08let's talk about their mechanical
01:09construction cuz they're very similar
01:11there are a few differences here and
01:12there which we're going to highlight in
01:14video the fb20 and the fb25 mechanically
01:18they're similar we T start with a
01:20cylinder head they both have plastic
01:22valve covers this is something that got
01:24updated the initial version of this
01:26engine didn't have it now we do this
01:29engine has dual cams you can't say
01:33overhead because it is a boxer it's on
01:34the side so this has four cam shafts
01:37basically because you have two cylinders
01:40here two cylinders on the other side the
01:42cylinder head is a two-piece cylinder
01:44head very familiar design with a lot of
01:46auto manufacturers except it's a boxer
01:48setup so you have the cylinder head
01:50itself which has the valves and the
01:52springs and everything and then kind of
01:54a cam cradle or Cam Tower or holder that
01:57has the cams in it and they have sealer
01:59in between between them then this engine
02:02has something very curious and something
02:04I don't quite understand why they do it
02:06this way this doesn't have hydraulic
02:07lifters this actually has valve
02:10adjustments now mind you the engine has
02:12to come out for these valve adjustments
02:14I hope that's not a common thing but the
02:17way they construct this is in my eyes
02:21they have it exact same setup as a
02:23Toyota believe it or not so they have a
02:25roller rocker a little cap that sits on
02:28the valve that cap is actually a shim
02:31that you can get them in multiple sizes
02:33and that's how we adjust the valves and
02:35then what looks like a hydraulic lifter
02:37looks exactly like a hydraulic lifter
02:39out of many popular Toyota engines it's
02:41actually just a pivot point it is not a
02:44hydraulic lifter so I feel like they
02:46could have with a revision of this
02:47engine they could have added hydraulic
02:49lifters they didn't we still have the
02:50shim design which is okay moving on to
02:54the block and that is the biggest thing
02:57with boxer engines this is a two-piece
02:59block so two pieces come together and
03:01the crank is in the middle something
03:03interesting about this engine you can
03:05remove the rods without disassembling
03:09the block halves and that is something
03:11that they did with the BRZ that you
03:12can't you have to split the block to get
03:14the Pistons out which is something just
03:17not good they didn't do that here and
03:19that is very good now moving on to the
03:21fuel system of this engine this engine
03:23has direct injection only and for
03:26reasons unknown to me I mean you did the
03:29BRZ with Toyota you took the awesome d4s
03:32system I wish they would have
03:34implemented it in all their cars but
03:35they didn't understandable you know they
03:37didn't want to take somebody else's
03:38system to their mainstream cars but this
03:41has direct injection
03:43only the way this is made because this
03:46is a boxer so the direct injectors sit
03:48right here they're right on top and they
03:51go straight into the cylinder head
03:53they're not like where the spark plugs
03:54would be or anything they do have a high
03:56pressure fuel pump right here in the
03:58front it's actually a very good area for
03:59for it very accessible this is
04:01relatively a simple system but in the
04:03future this might have carbon buildup
04:05issues and because the boxer orientation
04:08they're not known for heavy carbon
04:10buildup issues but still under certain
04:12driving conditions is very possible now
04:15this engine has the world's largest
04:18front timing cover because it's a boxer
04:20it's a huge engine it has a very large
04:24front timing cover and behind that front
04:27timing cover there's two timing chains
04:29one for each bank because you have two
04:31Banks here for the boxer two tensioners
04:34surprisingly the oiling system in this
04:36engine is very prehistoric is the word
04:39I'm going to use here because the oil
04:41pump sits in the front at the nose of
04:43the crank this is where the oil pump is
04:47pretty simple design it's actually a
04:49good design but then most of the oil
04:51travels through this massive front
04:54timing cover to go to the block first
04:57and then the left cylinder head and the
04:59right cylinder head just a little too
05:01much cuz service with this engine you
05:03got to be very careful because the way
05:06the this engine is orientated you got to
05:08be very clean because you can actually
05:09clog some of these passages and cause
05:11major damage so heads up if you're
05:14working this engine internal you really
05:16need to be very very clean Subaru sealer
05:20is another interesting one it's a very
05:22strong sealer so cleaning it creates a
05:24lot of debris and that's the other issue
05:26here moving on to the cooling system and
05:29this is where the fb20 and the fb25 the
05:31two engine options they do have a slight
05:33difference this in this particular model
05:36is an fb20 this is a 2 L has possibly
05:39one of the most basic cooling systems
05:42mechanical water pump all the way at the
05:44bottom of the engine and then you have
05:47just simple thermostat hoses going in
05:51the heater core that's about it and the
05:53fb25 though they have a coolant
05:56distribution valve so kind of a thermal
05:57management it can block coolant for
05:59growing certain parts of the engine so
06:01you can have rapid warm-up it's just
06:05strange that they didn't do it with the
06:07fb20 but that's what they deem necessary
06:09and that's what they did now let's talk
06:11about this engine from a different
06:13perspective from a mechanic's
06:14perspective I do have some experience
06:16with this style engine from my time with
06:18Toyota's technician working on the F FRS
06:23shop this engine is a boxer boxers have
06:26their advantages and their disadvantages
06:30some of the advantages here is it is
06:33simple to work on believe it or not you
06:35look at this looks super complicated but
06:37it is actually not because pulling this
06:39engine out of this car for example is
06:41very simple and then the way it's
06:43packaged especially in the cross track
06:45you have a lot of room usually with
06:47boxers spark plugs are difficult here
06:49you have a little bit more room and the
06:51way they package this entire thing I
06:53think they did it better than the
06:54previous version they thought of a few
06:56things for example this engine in the
06:59the past in the previous Origins had a
07:01tendency when you take sharp corners for
07:03a long time they pull all their oil to
07:05one big void in the valve cover well in
07:08this engine they actually fixed that
07:10they put a little baffle that took up
07:11that space so now oil won't pull on one
07:14side they did a lot of Provisions to
07:16this engine to make it even better but
07:18serviceability remains not complicated
07:20that front timing cover is extremely
07:22difficult to remove especially with all
07:23the sealer around it I guess labor cost
07:27wise if you're going to do anything to
07:28this engine in the future they're not
07:30super high but you have to have a
07:33specialist work on it because that
07:35sealer is very difficult and there's a
07:37lot of it and this engine tend to have
07:41Delicacies with oiling because of the
07:43way it's orientated and some will ask do
07:45we still have head gasket issues folks
07:48that is a little bit old for Subaru
07:50things are getting better boxer designs
07:52have come a long way I am not a subar
07:55specialist but I do have some experience
07:57I haven't really seen a lot of head
07:58gasket issues in the modern ones
07:59especially the this series engine but
08:02time will tell but they are however from
08:04the front time and cover they're
08:05notorious for oil leaks it's a pretty
08:08difficult front cover to do in the car
08:10without pulling the engine pulling the
08:12engine is not a big job on this engine
08:14on this car now let's talk about the
08:16transmission choices for this car and
08:18they chose one there's no more manual
08:20transmission they only have a CVT some
08:23people will dislike that and look folks
08:25cvts are complicated Transmissions this
08:27is happens to be one of the better maj
08:29ones but they still compared
08:31head-to-head with a regular sixspeed
08:338speed whatever the case this is more
08:36complicated so problems in the future
08:38they're just more with cvts that's just
08:40the reality of it something that comes
08:42standard in all Subarus they're awesome
08:45symmetrical all-wheel drive folks most
08:47cars in this segment you get an
08:49all-wheel drive it's not pretty
08:50all-wheel drive when you slip it starts
08:52to assist a little bit and when you get
08:54to a certain speed it just disengages
08:56and that's it that's how they work this
08:59however is a Subaru signature it's a
09:02true all-wheel drive system all the time
09:06all the time that you're driving this
09:08car all four wheels are driving
09:11regardless of Drive pavement slipping or
09:13driving normally that's the best part
09:15about this and they really do this very
09:17well it is trouble-free it is very
09:20reliable and rugged and it works very
09:22well but something else that it does if
09:25one wheel does start to slip it actually
09:27can send less power to it not huge where
09:30it cuts it out but it sends more power
09:32to the rear if the front wheels are
09:34slipping for example to help push you
09:36out of situations it's a very clever
09:38system and it works really really well
09:41and the best part about it is it doesn't
09:42add all these complicated components
09:45it's just engineered well things that
09:47are engineered well they're not
09:49complicated because the complication was
09:51in the design not in the execution and
09:54this is one of those systems so both
09:56models your 2.0 and 2.5 5 will have the
10:00same CBT except one change the torque
10:02converter on the 2.5 is different than
10:05the 2.0 and then they will both have and
10:07this is the case with almost all
10:09Subaru's standard symmetrical all-wheel
10:12drive which is just epic in my opinion
10:15but the last thing they did here that is
10:17very interesting see this engine used to
10:19have a vacuum pump on the other side
10:21direct injection engines will have low
10:24vacuum so they need to have a vacuum
10:26pump to assist the vacuum operator power
10:29brakes well here you actually have a
10:31blockoff plate for that it is still
10:33there cuz this engine was designed with
10:34a vacuum pump you have a blockoff plate
10:37and the reason for that is they got away
10:39from your grandpa's vacuum booster they
10:44have an electronic one beautifully sits
10:47right here works very well and the feel
10:49of brakes in this car are immediate this
10:51is not a like a hydraulic booster that
10:55is electronically controlled this is
10:56actually a very clever system that they
10:58used here limit ating your vacuum pump
11:00it's very simple it works very well and
11:02you do feel it when you hit the brakes
11:04they just feel more immediate and that
11:07is a very good change that they
11:12did let's take a look underneath the
11:152024 Subaru cross Trek starting with
11:20everything is covered up at least in the
11:21front they do however give you a little
11:23opening here for your train plug oil
11:27filter at the top pretty simple so this
11:30is not people always dislike covers
11:33covers are actually there to protect
11:34things and this is a good thing let's
11:36talk about the front suspension and
11:37brakes so you have a steel lower control
11:41arm the ball joint is kind of upside
11:45down from what you normally see it is in
11:47the knuckle but it is separate from the
11:49knuckle you can replace it separately
11:52which the knuckle is steel it is not
11:54aluminum then you move around here two
11:57piston caliper and the front design is a
12:00typical mcferson design pretty rugged
12:02pretty simple no thrills nothing really
12:05over the top then we look at the
12:08transmission this is the I don't want to
12:11call it the deal breaker for some people
12:13but this is what worries some folks
12:15folks this is the CBT transmission the
12:19lineartronic transmission what superu
12:22calls it it is a massive unit simply
12:24because this also has the front
12:27differential remember this has a very
12:29cool all-wheel drive setup and we'll
12:30talk about it a little bit here aluminum
12:33pan you notice it's not plastic this is
12:35actually an aluminum pan folks in my
12:38opinion this is a good CVT but cvts in
12:42general they're very complicated they
12:45have a lot of stuff going on and
12:47generally if you don't maintain these
12:48you drive them in certain driving
12:49conditions they're not the most reliable
12:51that's just the thing with cbts but this
12:54is a good CVT it is at least from all my
12:58research and kind and I'm making sure
12:59that this information is correct this is
13:01made inh house by Subaru and his parent
13:04company this is not made by for example
13:06jatco or somebody else that is what I
13:09found in my research but if you look at
13:11the little details you look here here's
13:14a shifter cable super accessible not
13:16buried on top of the transmission or
13:18somewhere where you don't want it to be
13:21and also integrated with it is the front
13:24differential which is right here you see
13:26the axles coming out of it little harder
13:29to see but if you look here you'll
13:30actually see one of the axles coming out
13:33it that's how this system works and it's
13:36a pretty cool one you notice it is a
13:38rear wheeel drive configuration with the
13:40front wheels being driven but unlike
13:42many other cars they don't have a
13:44transfer case that turns the power
13:46around and sends it to a separate front
13:48differential this is designed to be this
13:50way and that's what makes this system
13:52Superior to anything you're going to
13:54find in a car like this short of a truck
13:57with four true four-wheel drive now the
14:00exhaust exhaust on Subarus are typically
14:04decent decent quality and it shows I
14:07like that they have Flex Flex joints
14:10right here they don't have flex pipes
14:12and as we move around to the back you
14:14see the drive shift right here that goes
14:17not from the transfer K it's straight
14:18from the transmission into the
14:19differential now the differential it is
14:22a little cute differential because even
14:25though this is symmetrical all-wheel
14:26drive it is not meant for
14:29heavy Offroad like you're not going to
14:30go rock colling with this differential
14:32or pull a giant boat behind you but it
14:35is if you notice cast iron in the body
14:38which makes it a lot stronger even
14:40though it's small it is a lot stronger
14:42unit because to me this is as good of an
14:46all whee drive as you're ever going to
14:48get in any other car looking at the rear
14:51suspension pretty interesting rear
14:53suspension you have a double Wishbone
14:55set up at the top and then a few arms at
14:57the bottom it's a pretty simple setup
14:59and you notice how much room you have
15:01it's not busy with a lot of arms and a
15:03lot of complication it's pretty simple
15:05suspension works pretty good you do have
15:07the shock right here with the spring
15:09right on it it's not two separate things
15:12make service actually better you look in
15:14the back single piston caliper with the
15:16integrated electric parking brake which
15:19I think it's a brilliant design then we
15:21look in the back and you notice
15:22something here The superu that I like
15:25single Muffler goes out the side nothing
15:27really about it negative flux joint here
15:29which is very good you want to see these
15:33cars and then look at this they actually
15:37attempted to cover the sides not 100%
15:39covered but they attempted a little bit
15:41same thing on this side they didn't just
15:48open let's take a look at the outside of
15:51the cross track starting with the front
15:54this car is a kind of a practical
15:57functional car so it's not going to have
15:58the best looks in the planet but I feel
16:01like there's a lot of kind of copying
16:04perhaps from other manufacturers because
16:06this headlight reminds me of this
16:09car now the front grill is typical
16:13Subaru there's not much going on there
16:16is not a radar sensor behind the
16:18envelope and that is something a Subaru
16:21kind of did very special and very
16:23different if you look here you not only
16:27have one camera actually have three and
16:30that's what they do here this is called
16:31the eyesight system works very good and
16:37Subaru occasionally will want to do
16:39things their own way the Subaru way if I
16:42would put it in one way just for you
16:44guys if you're not familiar Subaru is
16:46the Volvo of Japan they always does
16:50things their own special way and unlike
16:53Volvo most of the time they do things
16:56well and that is one of them this is a
16:58brilliant system that actually works
16:59much better your cameras are up here not
17:02in the front you get in a front little
17:04accident you don't have to calibrate
17:06radar sensor and all this mess they're
17:08up here that's the cool thing about that
17:11the hood is a very really featureless
17:15Hood does have a little dip here does
17:17have a little very minor line in it but
17:20this car is not over styled it's not
17:22really meant to be a showstopper
17:24looks-wise but function is where they
17:26did it good look at that look how high
17:29that bumper is off the
17:30ground for most folks they're not really
17:33into cars they just need a car to drive
17:35around and light Offroad and whatnot
17:38this is very good they didn't overstyle
17:41the front bumper and then make it super
17:42low to the ground where you hit it on
17:44everything it's very high same story on
17:47the side I mean the side is very high
17:50when you compare it to many cars that
17:52are similar to this and this Gap is not
17:55huge they didn't just lift the body they
17:57actually designed it this way and that's
17:59the cool thing but something curious
18:02here this is how should I say it not the
18:06fastest car in the planet it's actually
18:08quite the opposite of that it's one of
18:09the slowest cars in the planet we have
18:12very elaborate brake vents over there
18:15and here I guess they deem that
18:18necessary but it's a little overkilled
18:20but that's okay brakes are actually
18:22pretty big on this and they feel great
18:24as we talked about it this has an
18:25electronic booster and that is pretty
18:27cool then and this is very objective but
18:30this is just my opinion I don't like
18:32that these have a strange shape just to
18:35emphasize the arch it's just a very
18:38strange shape and I like symmetrical
18:41thing and this just doesn't doesn't
18:43rhyme with me and for some reason the
18:45mirror is a different color than the
18:47rest of the car it's okay they ran out
18:50of blue paint but I'm not into that
18:52stuff again this is very objective it
18:54depends on taste now this car does have
18:56a smart key or keyless entry deal you
19:00only have it in the front you do not
19:01have it in the back at this price point
19:03no complaints because this car we'll
19:05talk about it in a little bit when it
19:07comes to price point things are very
19:09well this is an optional ladder
19:13style thing on the top here looks very
19:16odd and I feel like it adds a little bit
19:18to the wind noise cuz you have this so
19:19unless you really have a heavy use for
19:21this don't get this option just thought
19:24I'd mentioned that as we wrap around we
19:26have the same situation here again
19:28objective it's kind of an odd look that
19:32circle then we move to the back it has a
19:35very typical Subaru look but it also if
19:38you look at this exact line right here
19:41doesn't it remind you of this
19:43car and then if I cover this part
19:47doesn't also remind you of this car feel
19:49like you know they're all Japanese
19:51companies they all like to share their
19:52designs and they're good designs I think
19:55this is not offensive that's the best
19:57way I'm going to put it it's not a
19:59showstopper but you drive this every day
20:01you're not going to look at it one day
20:03and go like this is an ugly car it's not
20:06looks good it's functional and speaking
20:12functional this matters look at this
20:15space it's a decent space for a car that
20:18is not super big it's very easy to drive
20:21this is a lot of space and the other
20:25love you got a spare tire
20:29cuz they're not going to go with the
20:31trends and not give you a spare tire so
20:35that is something very good you notice
20:37there's no power back door it's very
20:39simple CU you don't need it this is a
20:41very light door you don't need the
20:42complication and now the price start
20:44going up and up very simple you want to
20:51seats now you have a lot of
20:55room I I like the functionality of this
20:57car as you see more when we talk about
21:03interior let's take a look at the
21:05interior of the 2024 Subaru cross Trek
21:09and the first glance when you get in
21:10this interior it's very basic and that's
21:13the whole point of this car this car at
21:16this price point is actually a lot of
21:18car and that I feel like was objective
21:20of this car let's start with the gauges
21:23there are two mechanical gauges with a
21:25screen in the middle works perfectly
21:27fine gives you enough information that
21:29you need no gimmicks no thrills works
21:32very nice then the steering wheel the
21:34only thing I have about the steering
21:35wheel is it's a little busy there's a
21:38lot of buttons and I understand that
21:39with modern cars it is laid out okay the
21:42drive mode is on the steering wheel
21:44which is something I haven't really seen
21:45in a lot of cars then we move in the
21:47middle here mechanical shifter as we
21:50looked when we looked at the cable
21:52car beautiful mechanical shifter works
21:55perfectly fine doesn't really no thrills
21:57about it very easy to operate heated
22:00seats in this particular model that has
22:02it physical button high and low not 17
22:05settings just very simple electronic
22:08parking brake which is right here very
22:10simple as well plenty of storage this
22:14center console is actually pretty large
22:15which is nice then we move into the
22:18middle where we have a massive screen
22:20here something to be said about the
22:22screen it's very big so when you put it
22:24in reverse for example only a little bit
22:27shows up that's usually the problem with
22:29big screens and then at the very bottom
22:31of the screen you have your hvc controls
22:35which I wish the word here I feel like
22:38there is some oversights here for
22:41example your auto buttons on the side
22:44that's actually customizable you can add
22:45things but I feel like we have a lot of
22:47empty space where you could have added
22:49more features like the AC the auto we
22:52only are confined to choosing one that
22:55appears that's okay but then the brake
22:57hold me we have all the space we could
22:59have put the break hole button right
23:01here no instead you have to go to car
23:04settings then turn on the brake hold
23:06very distracting when you're driving if
23:08you want to just turn it on that is a
23:11small oversight in a perfect world this
23:13would have been a smaller screen and we
23:16would have physical HVAC controls right
23:18here but they didn't do it that way and
23:20that's okay seats are very comfortable
23:23and this is something to be said about
23:25Subarus they typically don't have the
23:28most comfortable seats in the planet
23:29that is something of a Subaru thing
23:31these seats I was pleasantly surprised
23:33that they're super comfortable they're
23:35fabric nothing wrong with that they work
23:37pretty well again at this price point
23:39this is a lot of car for this money I
23:41mean this interior it's not exotic
23:43materials and everything is super nice
23:45leather and whatnot but Everything You
23:47Touch it's plastic but it's well-made
23:50plastic it doesn't feel like cheap and
23:52rattly no it's actually pretty wellmade
23:55and that is the good part now driving
23:57this car it is very loud to be expected
24:00this is not a luxury car in any way
24:02shape or form it is decent the engine is
24:04pretty loud and adding a CVT to that and
24:07under underpowered engine uh this is
24:10pretty loud but again for a basic car at
24:13this price point it is a lot of car for
24:15the money and then again on the overside
24:18part the last thing if you look at the
24:20door handle on the door panel it is kind
24:24of a different material they're trying
24:25to make it a soft touch but if you touch
24:27the end of it just this squishy little
24:30thing that just feels like just not nice
24:34doesn't feel like a soft touch material
24:35I don't know what kind of material it is
24:37it just feels like a not a good attempt
24:40at making a soft touch material I we
24:42wish it would have just been the same
24:44typical plastic would have been fine
24:46let's take a look at the back seat of
24:48the Cross Trek I am 5'7 this is my
24:50driving position I have decent knee room
24:53decent head room pretty comfortable here
24:56knees are a little bit up but that's how
24:58it is with newer cars this is a
25:00comfortable place to be even for adults
25:02you do have some USB and USBC right here
25:06things are good I like this back seat
25:08it's actually a functional back seat
25:10pretty comfortable place life is
25:15good let's talk about some things I do
25:18not like about the 2024 Subaru cross
25:21strike starting with the infotainment
25:23system and the HVAC control situation so
25:27the infotainment system it's a nice
25:29large screen and that's very good a
25:31little bit laggy a little bit slow that
25:34is also okay but I feel like they
25:36removed the physical controls for the
25:38HVAC and they put them at the bottom of
25:40the screen and it's always there and
25:41that's also good but I feel like they
25:43could have done this a little better I
25:45mean you can customize which switches
25:47you want out but I feel like there's
25:49space at the bottom that you could have
25:50put all these controls visible where I
25:52don't have to go into the screen to
25:55change which buttons are always visible
25:58that could have been done a little
25:59better and the other thing is certain
26:02physical buttons got removed into the
26:04screen for example your automatic brake
26:06hold or automatic vehicle brake brake
26:10hold basically you have to go into car
26:13settings turn it on which if you don't
26:16hit it just right it'll just not do
26:18anything that could have been a button
26:20cuz I'm driving and I'm stopping a
26:21traffic light you want to activate
26:23something like that you have to go on
26:24the screen that should have been a
26:26physical button would have been made
26:27made it a lot better but moving on from
26:29the infotainment system the biggest
26:31thing with this car is it is slow it is
26:35extremely slow I mean usually when cars
26:38have a CVT they will Roar and Roar this
26:41is very underpowered and even if you
26:452.5 ler version it is still slow it's a
26:49little better but still if you are the
26:52kind of person that have a heavy foot
26:53this will really get in your way and
26:55merging into traffic you will notice it
26:57the thing is struggling to go that is
26:59one of its downsides it's too
27:05slow so the 2024 Subaru cross
27:09Trek folks Subaru is a unique company
27:13they do things the Subaru way not the
27:15way the automotive industry is is going
27:18the automotive industry is going in a
27:19way where every car has to be flashy
27:22basically everybody is expecting these
27:25cars to be a hot Ferrari on Wheels but
27:28what that's doing is it's raising the
27:30prices of these cars this one however
27:33doesn't suffer from that it's a basic
27:36Transportation car that is wellmade is
27:39not the most reliable car in the world
27:41but it is up there in reliability and
27:43the other thing is you step into this
27:45interior it is easier to operate easy to
27:48work no flashy exotic materials no
27:52everything is rugged and wellmade but
27:55the biggest reason you would buy a car
27:56like this is is this beautiful all-wheel
27:59drive system folks every single SUV and
28:02crossover in this size or this segment
28:05if you would they don't really have an
28:07all-wheel drive system per se it waits
28:10for you to slip then engage or it is

28:28Outdoors not all the time we're not
28:30going to drive to the top Mount Everest
28:33and bag every other day but we're going
28:35to go some off-roading light off-roading
28:37even a little bit heavier off-roading
28:39than you would think this will take it
28:41will take it because it's really that
28:43good the allhe drive and the other thing
28:44is because Subaru is a sensible company
28:48they don't make things following Trends
28:50they make things to Subaru way that
28:52ground clearance is excellent because
28:54they didn't overstyle the bumper to make
28:56it all the way to the ground this car
28:58though is not perfect no car is there's
29:01good and there is bad some of the
29:04negative stuff about this car it is slow
29:07hopelessly slow I mean this is not a car
29:11that you're going to be winning
29:13any medals for Speed and the best thing
29:17about this car is if you are a parent
29:19and you buy this for your young child
29:21they will not get in trouble even if
29:23they try to I guess that is a good thing
29:25of that and the second thing is the
29:27entainment system could use some work I
29:30feel like they're heading in the right
29:31direction but there are certain things
29:32if they do it and I see them as simple
29:34software changes it will make this even
29:37better now the lack of physical buttons
29:39on the interior for certain things that
29:41are important that is the only place
29:43where they crossed into the modern times
29:45and didn't do it physical button they
29:47actually went on the screen but at least
29:49they laid it down where it's always
29:51there and I guess that is a good thing
