00:00Wavetable is a versatile synthesizer in Live. It's easy to use and can produce a variety of different sounds.

00:07In this video, let's get a quick overview of the device.

00:12Wavetable's interface is divided into three main sections:

00:17the oscillators, each with their own tab,

00:22a Filter section that contains two multimode filters, and on the far-right there is a section with four tabs.

00:31The first section is Mod Sources which contains Wavetable's five modulation sources.

00:39Next is the Matrix tab that allows you to apply modulation to Wavetable's parameters.

00:48There is the MIDI tab that allows you to apply modulation from MIDI sources,

00:54and finally the MPE tab that allows you to apply modulation from MPE sources.

01:02On the far left we have a sub oscillator with its own parameters for gain and tone control as well as an octave selector.

01:15You can select the Wavetables using the choosers.

01:19The first chooser is the category of Wavetables.

01:22The second chooser allows you to select the specific Wavetables within that category.

01:28You can adjust the overall output of each Wavetable oscillator using the Gain slider.

01:35Below the Gain slider there is a chooser for three oscillator effects: FM, Classic and Modern.

01:43There's also control for coarse and fine tuning of each Wavetable oscillator

01:48by using the Semi and Detune controls.

01:53I can toggle the Wavetable visualization switch between Linear and Polar,

01:59and I can use the Wavetable Position slider to change the position of the Wavetable's oscillators.

02:05Each oscillator can be switched on and off independently of one another.

02:12The two filters in the Filter section are multimode filters and have five different filter types.

02:23The filters can work in Series, Parallel or Split modes.

02:31The Mod Sources tab contains five different modulation sources that you can use in Wavetable, three envelopes and two LFOs.

02:40The adjacent tab is the Modulation Matrix tab.

02:43In the Matrix tab you can apply Wavetable's modulation sources to the parameters of Wavetable.

03:06In the MIDI Modulation tab, you can use MIDI modulation sources

03:11such as Aftertouch or Velocity to modulate parameters in Wavetable.

03:16Similarly, in the MPE Modulation tab, you can use MPE sources to modulate Wavetable's parameters.

03:27On the far right are switchable Monophonic and Polyphonic modes.

03:31In the Polyphonic mode you can use the drop-down chooser to select a maximum number of notes that Wavetable can use simultaneously.

03:40The Monophonic mode features a Glide setting.

03:51Below that are selectable Unison modes.

03:55The Voices slider allows you to select the number of voices running simultaneously in the Unison mode

04:01and the Amount slider adjusts the intensity of the Unison mode.

04:12On the left side of the Wavetable device itself, there's a toggle switch that allows you to expand the view of Wavetable.
