00:03amount of time possible and if you watch

00:06fully functional website i've seen other
00:08tutorial videos on the internet where
00:10they say that websites are free and if
00:12you get one of those websites you're not
00:14going to be able to do everything with
00:15it so this is going to be a fully
00:16functional wordpress website all right
00:18so not going to do a long-winded intro
00:20we're jumping right into it go ahead
00:22click the link down in the description
00:24below and we'll get started all right so
00:25the first thing you need to do is get
00:27hosting and secure a domain name now you
00:30may have already picked a domain name at
00:32this point and that's great i'll cover
00:33that step as well now hosting is the
00:36place where your website's files will be
00:38stored the domain is of course the name
00:40of your website so the service that i
00:42personally use for hosting is hostinger
00:45and i've done a lot of research on this
00:46and in my opinion for a fully functional
00:48website hostinger has the best overall
00:51value so hosting costs about 1.99 per
00:54month but i personally prefer to go with
00:56this middle plan which is the premium
00:58shared hosting plan and the main reason
00:59for that is because you get a free
01:01domain but on top of that you have
01:03unlimited free ssl which basically makes
01:06your website look a lot more legitimate
01:07when people click onto it and it can
01:09also handle up to 25 000 visits monthly
01:12in my opinion has the best price quality
01:14ratio meaning the quality of the hosting
01:16you get versus the price that you have
01:18to pay is the best ratio and it's not
01:20even close and the reason for this is

01:24panel and i'm basically going to go

02:09and then make sure to click have a

02:15there was a savings there now you don't

02:42depending on what type of website you're
02:43creating most likely if you're looking
02:45this up you're going to be creating
02:47either a blog or a portfolio website but
02:49you also might be creating a business
02:51website go ahead and click that blog is
02:53typically really easy to set up so i'm
02:55going to go ahead and click that and
02:56then they do make it really easy to set
02:58it up yourself so if you want some extra
03:00help you can click i'm a beginner but
03:02i'm going to go ahead and click no
03:03thanks then i'm going to select build a
03:05website and then we're going to use
03:06wordpress to build the website next go
03:08ahead and create a password for
03:10wordpress and then it doesn't really
03:12matter which one of these you select i'm
03:14going to go ahead and just select this
03:15first one now you want to go ahead and
03:17claim your free domain that we talked
03:19about before now typically it's
03:21recommended for trademark reasons
03:23because of the fact that you'll actually
03:24own the domain name to create it with
03:27dot-com but i actually own
03:29shanehummus.com already so in this
03:31particular case i'm going to claim it
03:32with dot net i'm going to search to make
03:34sure nobody else has claimed it the
03:36domain is available so i'm going to
03:38click continue and then click finish
03:40setup next we're going to complete the
03:42registration so i'm going to put in my
03:43country details at this point most of
03:45you are just creating this as a personal
03:47website but it can also be a company or
03:49organization but i'm going to go ahead
03:50and click next can always fix that later
03:52on next i'm going to enter in my
03:54personal contact information now that
03:56i've entered that information in i'm
03:57going to click finish registration next
03:59i'm going to click on the hostinger
04:00control panel now you can really control
04:03just about everything from here and i
04:05highly recommend you check out their
04:07tutorial videos and seriously just about
04:09everything you need is in this control
04:10panel if you scroll down you can look at
04:12the page speed you can even scan the
04:15website for malware you can import or
04:17migrate websites you can look up seo if
04:20you're planning on creating content they
04:22even have links to fiverr if you want to
04:23create a logo so definitely spend some
04:25time looking at this also if you're
04:27planning on using the professional email
04:29and reaching out to people make sure to
04:31set that up but with that being said
04:32most people probably clicked on this
04:33video to get their website launched so
04:35if you ever need to get back to the
04:36wordpress website interface just go
04:39ahead and type your website name in
04:40slash login so let's go ahead and see if
04:43the website is live or not so we're
04:45going to go ahead and go to
04:46shanehummus.net and as you can see the
04:48website is live now if you need to get
04:51back to the wordpress panel go ahead and
04:53type in your website and then slash wp
04:56dash admin and then you'll be able to
04:58log in now you probably want to change
05:00the website's appearance and to do that
05:02i recommend you go to appearance and
05:05click themes then you can scroll down
05:07and click add new theme so there's a few
05:09themes here that are automatically added
05:11that you can switch to if you'd like and
05:12then you can kind of just scroll through
05:14here and pick one that you like for some
05:15reason this one catches my eye
05:18minimalist newspaper theme so i'm going
05:20to click install so once you've
05:21installed it if you wanted to activate
05:23it all you'd have to do is just click
05:25activate might take a little bit in
05:26order to update that but then you would
05:28just go to your website and you would
05:30refresh the page once it's activated
05:31you're going to see that there's an
05:33option for you to customize the website
05:35you can click on that so for instance
05:37you can go to global and it is extremely
05:39easy to customize this stuff so for
05:41instance you can just click you know
05:43with if you don't want this to be take
05:45action you can go here click that on the
05:47left you can change that to contact me
05:51and then when you feel satisfied with it
05:53you can click publish you can also
05:54change the themes from here if you'd
05:56like so the active theme right now is
05:58astra you can change it to anything you
06:00want like the minimalist newspaper for
06:02instance it'll even let you do a live
06:04preview and that's what it would look
06:06like with nothing else maybe you want to
06:08insert a picture of yourself or your
06:10logo just click up here click change
06:12logo actually don't have a picture of
06:14myself on this computer so i'm just
06:16going to choose a picture of a random
06:17person go ahead and select it skip
06:20cropping and there you go picture of a
06:22random guy with an awesome beard
06:27so as you can see it's extremely easy to
06:29edit everything on here and if you want
06:31me to make a full tutorial i can
06:33definitely go over that but this is just
06:34an introductory how to create a website
