39:09the most time with me preparing me to

39:14business
39:15of professional wrestling and sports
39:17entertainment how it works how you
39:18should be conducting yourself personally
39:20and professionally understanding
39:23what it is that you're really trying to
39:24accomplish on a television level
39:27and yeah i've had other people that have
39:28worked with seminars and trainers and
39:29stuff like that um i love glenn as a
39:32person uh i don't want to blow his cover
39:34but i think it needs to be said because
39:36sometimes people are
39:38completely hysterical on twitter um so
39:41uh he's a good dude and he just loves to
39:44rile people up uh he's probably much
39:46more like you
39:47uh than you would imagine um he likes to
39:50play the heel online and he's very good
39:52at it yes a lot of things that he says
39:54he is just trying to piss you off he
39:56gets a kick out of it and he has very
39:58very very thick skin and you're never
40:00going to bother him ever
40:02he's a very kind person he's very
40:04generous and he's literally never asked
40:05me for anything ever he's only ever
40:07helped me he's personally checked in on
40:09me professionally checked in on me and
40:11from the very beginning
40:13i'm not the only person he's helped he's
40:15helped a lot of people but i think a lot
40:16of people are just afraid to say that
40:18because
40:19people know
40:21disco inferno as you know the goofball
40:24that he plays and people don't know how
40:26to separate the actual human being from
40:28the character and glenn usually doesn't
40:30allow anyone to see the human being
40:32because he just thinks it's funny in
40:33that way

40:38mma
40:39next time i go back i probably will that
40:41was one of the best mma gyms i had ever
40:43trained in ever really good community of
40:45people that were there
40:46it was great for all ages it was great
40:48for women they had kids classes
40:50they had jiu jitsu classes tom waller
40:52was uh was teaching gui jiu jitsu there
40:55for a while he's absolutely jet all the
40:57instructors there were very good uh
40:59floor space was excellent clean
41:00equipment uh nobody ever like got any
41:03like skin issues there or something you
41:04to watch out for that if you're a
41:06wrestler you're jiu-jitsu person they're
41:07not cleaning the mats it's disgusting

42:58you know like when you have to do a
42:59match like that where you come in and
43:01just get killed
43:03it's not exactly what you're really
43:04interested in doing when you get
43:05involved with pro wrestling everyone
43:06always has great aspirations you know
43:08everyone wants to be wrestlemania world
43:10champion and all that so you know when
43:12you come in there
43:13it's great to be part of the show but of
43:14course you'd like to do more right
43:16leon comes in and however they delivered
43:18the information to him he took it like a
43:20complete professional came to me he
43:22trusted me to hit those suplexes uh i
43:26know a lot of people i would never throw
43:28them under the bus very scared to take
43:30my suplexes um
43:32he
43:33embraced it like a [Â __Â ] pro
43:35and um
43:36it went off you know really well and the
43:39introduction went really well
43:41after the match
43:43he probably thought i was insane i
43:45snatched him and i gave him a huge a
43:47huge hug and i told him uh
43:49he probably didn't realize this but this
43:50was the most important match of my
43:52career it was literally
43:54my introduction to the world on a global
43:56stage and i gave him my phone number i
43:58exchanged information with him and i
44:00just profusely thanked him for trusting
44:02me to throw him around like that he was
44:04so cool the whole day
44:06never dragged his feet about anything
44:08and i told him at the time if he ever
44:09needed a referral because i don't know
44:11what his employment situation was or his
44:13hiring situation i said if you ever
44:15need a reference for here or anywhere
44:17else you got it for the rest of your
44:19life he did me a huge solid that day and
44:21that's how you're supposed to take care
44:22of people in the business when they give
44:24their body to you like that and they
44:25don't even know you you better be there
44:27for them so enjoy the picture and um

45:33business in his blood he's the man he's

47:43uh empowering almost in a in a
47:46possessive way this character carrying
47:48cross
47:49he was implied to be supernatural he had
47:52a high constitution for pain he could
47:53keep coming back he was just absolutely
47:56possessed and so we were entering into
47:59how to introduce some of her abilities
48:01and so
48:02uh
48:03there was a couple times where the pc
48:05had to be shut down and no one was
48:06allowed to be there and we had to film
48:08two weeks worth in one day
48:10we were in the middle of our vignettes
48:11and stuff like that we needed we needed
48:12stuff to do so
48:14i had asked uh i had asked hunter i said
48:17hey i just want to let you know i'm on
48:19board whatever you need we're here just
48:21because we're not at the pc doesn't mean
48:22that we can't just do anything if you'd
48:24like i would be more than happy to go
48:26out and film independent footage
48:28anywhere out here in orlando um
48:30and i will forward it to you you can
48:32assess it if you like it we can use it
48:33on tv what do you think he was like wow
48:35okay sure so we went to
48:38a friend's bar
48:40uh it was cocktails and screams in
48:42orlando great place check it out they
48:44have this whole esoteric vibe there
48:46which kind of fit what we were doing we
48:48went into the back where they have all
48:49this voodoo tarot stuff it's like it's
48:51like a vip room that not everyone can
48:53get into yes we went during the day they
48:55were nice enough to open it up for us
48:56and we filmed this thing there this idea
48:58and i ran a monologue over it she had
49:00tarot cards and whatnot we shot all of
49:02that and then we had submitted it and we
49:04did it on our cell phones too didn't we
49:06we did yeah and then um we they chopped
49:08it up at headquarters and they put it on
49:10television and segway two
49:12hunter had this idea for scarlett to use
49:15a fireball and thrown in keith's face we
49:16wanted to kind of make it so it came out
49:18of my hand yes originally so one of his
49:20original ideas was she had the they
49:22asked if i was okay with being set on
49:24fire i'm like yeah let's do it no
49:25problem he's okay sure yeah she had the
49:27claw glove i had
49:28this uh the protective glove that was in
49:30water first which we wanted to get we
49:32wanted that to be a selling item for
49:34kids that was the whole reason why she
49:36had the catwoman gloves then we put the
49:38uh the claw glove over it dipped it in
49:40that special oil and we had to sit on
49:41fire and we tested for as long as
49:43possible we couldn't see how long i
49:44could take it before i could start to
49:46feel the heat um and they liked it but
49:48it was just too complicated with the
49:49camera angles to when we set it on fire
49:51you know to make sure it was live and
49:53quick so it just the book ended up being
49:54quicker and easier yeah but that almost
49:57happened yes yeah
49:59this is gonna be for us scott uh houston

51:30people who actually care about me and my

52:07really dark periods of their lives and
52:08stuff like that even though we were
52:09playing dark characters but like
52:12to actually like see people now in front
52:14of us
52:15and to see how they're expressing how
52:17they felt about it we grabbed a bubble
52:18now yeah and we didn't we didn't didn't
52:20get to see that at all all we have is
52:22twitter like that's the only way we can
52:24see what people thought of our yeah
52:25everything that we did and now that
52:26we're at signings and people like oh we
52:28love this and we love this like yeah oh
52:30you actually really liked it we didn't
52:31get to interact with any of this in wwe
52:33and it's just like
52:34you know twitter is not really you know
52:36it's wonderful for communicating with
52:38strangers and fans and stuff like that
52:40yeah and promotion and stuff like that
52:41but there there is a community on
52:43twitter that really thrives on taking
52:45anything and everything out of context
52:47to just create this antichrist version
52:49of everything going on in the world that
52:50is angry just be real man

52:57but it's like it's just better when
52:59you're meeting people in person it's
53:00such a healthier experience it's more
53:02genuine and doing the conventions
53:04recently has been

53:10the merch and they they have all the
53:11pictures and stuff like that and i mean
53:13it's those are the people we pay
53:14attention to yeah the families and stuff

57:52there's certain conversations you have
57:53with people in the business um that
57:58you just don't repeat out of respect

58:06uh it's nobody's business
58:08but i had great relations in my opinion
58:11with the entire writing team on main
58:13roster i liked all of them i thought
58:14they had great ideas sometimes when the
58:17ideas
58:18are
58:19pitched to you or you collaboratively
58:21come up with that type of stuff
58:23it goes through different chains of
58:24commands and then the idea uh for lack
58:27of better words it mutates or it becomes
58:29something else and then it's what you
58:30see right i i feel like the writers
58:34are the most abused people in the
58:36concept of why something is going wrong
58:38on television i'm not going to sit here
58:41and
58:42propose where the blame should go they
58:44don't get the final say in what happens
58:45well i'm just not i'm not going to get
58:47into that conversation of like whose
58:49fault it is
58:50i like to keep wrestling positive uh i
58:53don't engage in toxic conversations
58:55especially about the industry um if i
58:58ever had anything negative or derogatory
59:00to say i would never i'm just not made
59:02like i'm not going to impede on
59:04somebody's ability to make a living even
59:05if i don't like them um so that's
59:08generally my stance all things in life
59:10uh pertaining to your question about the
59:13shift in character i spoke with several
59:15writers and they all had agreed with me
59:18that we needed to shift out
59:20of what we were doing
59:22because
59:23uh there was a majority of people that
59:25felt that this thing that i was doing
59:28really needed to become something else
59:30for the sake of creating better content
59:32for people who are watching so
59:34what you were beginning to see was
59:36something expanding away from what we
59:39were doing and
59:41um
59:42i mean here we are
59:44this is i mean i this is just where
59:46where we're at it's not as a result of
59:49that
59:50um and it's not as a result of
59:52i don't know

01:01:10roles and i saw him in the exorcist

01:01:24uh i was working with james maritado and
01:01:26i just thought to myself

01:08:26has always been known to give a very
01:08:28strong fourth wall promo right so they
01:08:30basically wrote this fourth wall promo
01:08:32and um i
01:08:34had saw it the night before i was like
01:08:35oh this is gonna be easy because fourth
01:08:37wall promo i mean is the easiest promo
01:08:39to get over all you have to do
01:08:41is just
01:08:43i mean
01:08:44you just peel the curtain back a little
01:08:46bit
01:08:46and so
01:08:47i thought when i got the promo actually
01:08:50i did think
01:08:51it was unfinished because sometimes you
01:08:52get these scripts
01:08:54and then it's like it will change
01:08:56you know to the time you go to tv
01:08:59so i wrote this murderous
01:09:01um
01:09:02response and i remember i gave it to one
01:09:04of the writers and he was like uh
01:09:06he's like listen
01:09:08you're gonna smash these guys and then
01:09:10they're you're going on and it's like
01:09:12it's almost unfair
01:09:14to let you say anything back on this
01:09:16like he really needs to look strong on
01:09:17this i was like okay no problem so they
01:09:20scrapped my retort
01:09:21and um we went out there and did it and
01:09:24of course everyone bought it because
01:09:25that's our job they have to it's we're
01:09:27inclined to make sure that they believe
01:09:28it i tried to make it look a little
01:09:30awkward um and and yeah we just went
01:09:33into it and uh
01:09:35he was a total professional to work with

01:36:33he was preparing to kind of like
01:36:36you know re-emerge at that time and uh
01:36:38didn't want to suffocate the guy uh i
01:36:40asked him for some feedback at the end
01:36:42of one of my matches with keith and he
01:36:44gave it to me and it was very good and
01:36:46it made sense and it was simple to
01:36:48understand and um he was cool
01:36:50he was very cool i i didn't really know
01:36:52how to uh
01:36:54man i was really hoping we were gonna
01:36:56get to work together i don't exactly
01:36:58remember how the whole john cena story
01:36:59took off on social media um
01:37:02maybe i was complimenting his work ethic
01:37:04or i don't know i don't know but like
01:37:07that was the thing that fans went crazy
01:37:09over like i wasn't trying to book myself
01:37:11into a match with them by any means at
01:37:12all but people started creating all
01:37:14these flyers and these pictures for us
01:37:16to work and then he had posted something
01:37:18on social media which i thought was
01:37:19really awesome
01:37:20i would have loved to have worked with
01:37:21him and um
01:37:22i think like i won't say who but like a
01:37:24lot of us
01:37:26um would watch some of the most
01:37:28successful people in the business and
01:37:29how they would structure matches
01:37:31and we would watch how they would
01:37:33structure them and then we would watch
01:37:35the rhythm they were working with
01:37:36massive attendances and we'd be like
01:37:38this is the formula
01:37:40we should be aiming for i mean all these
01:37:43other types of matches are wonderful and
01:37:44they all have their place in the card
01:37:45but watch what the most successful
01:37:47people are doing
01:37:48and watch how people are reacting and
01:37:50see how they're making people feel he
01:37:52was one of them and
01:37:54um
01:37:56i really just felt like
01:37:58because i understood what he was doing
01:38:00in the ring um from watching so much of
01:38:03his stuff and his approach
01:38:05uh i really feel like i would have
01:38:06integrated very well with him to create
01:38:08something really cool for people it
01:38:10sucks that it didn't happen but
01:38:12hey whatever you know life goes on i
01:38:14suppose that would be great little
01:38:16program
01:38:20uh cheryl bess would like to know what
01:38:22was like working with eddie edwards
01:38:24the best
01:38:26um
01:38:28eddie and i have a very similar sense of
01:38:29humor
01:38:30we uh we like a lot of dark stuff we're
01:38:33a lot of dry humor very sarcastic
01:38:35like funny negative
01:38:37um
01:38:38and uh
01:38:40i would always just ask him i'd be like
01:38:42hey man like you're in this develop
01:38:45he he was he was transitioning out of
01:38:47being
01:38:48you know one of the wolves his whole
01:38:50japan period and he was going plain
01:38:52clothes hardcore at the time and i would
01:38:55i would go to him first whenever the
01:38:57whenever the the story would be pitched
01:38:59to me
01:39:00um i would call the guy up like eddie i
01:39:02called him i'm gonna go hey this is what
01:39:03they told me and i want to ask you
01:39:06if this is in the book of eddie edwards
01:39:08i for me personally i want to be the
01:39:10coolest chapter of your book out of all
01:39:12the people you're going to work with
01:39:14how can i bring to life something you
01:39:16would like to showcase to people and so
01:39:18he talked about the development and the
01:39:20direction he was taking his character in
01:39:22under the timing of the singapore cane
01:39:24and so i looked at it like a horror
01:39:25movie why does eddie have the cane well
01:39:27tommy gave it to him but can it be more
01:39:29than that he seems to be obsessed with
01:39:30the cane he talks to him he's always
01:39:32holding it super tight he keeps it close
01:39:34it's usually not out here and so i asked
01:39:36him i go eddie
01:39:37how do you feel about me doing a promo
01:39:40discussing my observation the
01:39:42observation killer cross is having as
01:39:44this singapore cane is like the spinal
01:39:46cord of eddie edwards you know he was
01:39:49distancing himself in the story from his
01:39:51wife and his friends and it was just him
01:39:54in this cane
01:39:55what if the story becomes i am trying to
01:39:57harm him by taking away his security
01:40:00which is this weapon and so we went in
01:40:02that direction and it was just so much
01:40:03fun it was so much fun to do and he was
01:40:05happy with it and i was happy with it
01:40:07and
01:40:08i got longer matches where we could work
01:40:10at 50 50 style and i think
01:40:13people gauge really good wrestling
01:40:15matches
01:40:16uh based off of length of time in the
01:40:19match like people like squashes and 10
01:40:21to 12s are fine but when you get 20 to
01:40:2430 minutes a t-shirt right there 10 to
01:40:2512. yes i like it when you get lots of
01:40:28time
01:40:29and you can work 50 50 style there's a
01:40:31lot of different things that can happen
01:40:33where people can really see what you're
01:40:34capable of and i felt like at the time
01:40:36people got to see what i could really do
01:40:37with eddie so i was very grateful for
01:40:38that
01:40:40christine woods would like to know if
01:40:41you have any cool vamp hero stories
01:40:44oh my gosh
01:40:48i have too many vampiro stories
01:40:51um
01:40:52i love them
01:40:54but and he knows this he drove me a
01:40:56little bit crazy like he drives
01:40:57everybody crazy i have absolutely
01:40:58nothing bad to say about him um not
01:41:01because i won't but because i just i
01:41:03won't there's nothing bad to say um
01:41:06you know he has uh
01:41:09he's always looked out for me i feel
01:41:11and uh he's always been in my corner
01:41:14and
01:41:15he's always been cool with me and any
01:41:17advice he's ever given me has been with
01:41:18the intention to help me
01:41:20and um
01:41:22yeah i wish i wish while i was there
01:41:25and this obviously is not completely in
01:41:26his control i wish that i had won
01:41:29the uh
01:41:31the uh aaa mega championship
01:41:33um obviously that has to go through a
01:41:35massive chain of command and that was
01:41:36something i was told was gonna happen on
01:41:38my first run there um i was disappointed
01:41:40it didn't happen but it's okay like i'm
01:41:42not a belt mark i still had an
01:41:44amazing experience working in mexico and
01:41:46learning the culture there and stuff
01:41:48like that
01:41:48um but yeah um
01:41:51one time vampiro and i were in a car
01:41:53with martin casaus
01:41:55and i think pero aguayo senior's nephew
01:41:58i'm not sure if they're related but it
01:42:00was a guy named abraham we were we were
01:42:02in a car driving from
01:42:04city to city in the middle of nowhere
01:42:07and we got pulled over by like uh these
01:42:09black suvs and these guys came out with
01:42:11machine guns and pointed the guns at the
01:42:12car
01:42:13and uh that was a crazy that was a crazy
01:42:15experience vamp was there for that um
01:42:17and i guess like the guy driving he you
01:42:19know translated
01:42:21uh that we were wrestlers and they let
01:42:23us go so
01:42:24that was that was pretty terrifying
01:42:27adam we just got your message i believe

01:44:09need to be willing to drink water
01:44:12and drink water lots of water yeah i
01:44:14mean there's there's just like so much
01:44:16can go wrong and i think i'm too much of
01:44:18an empathetic person to be able to take
01:44:21on the grief
01:44:22of that many people around me when
01:44:24things don't work out or they have a bad
01:44:25match or something i think it'd be too
01:44:27i think i'd be too emotionally invested
01:44:29in the people that i'm looking after
01:44:31so that wouldn't be for me
01:44:32it takes a lot of discipline too so yeah
01:44:34to tell people like hey again you're not
01:44:37getting enough sleep you're not taking
01:44:38care of yourself like yeah it's not a
01:44:40person it's not like you don't belong in
01:44:42the business it's like
01:44:44if you don't learn how to improve and
01:44:46recover on your own and you don't make
01:44:47that your own personal responsibility or
01:44:49accountability like the schools are not
01:44:51responsible for your success yeah you
01:44:53don't like dieting you don't like going
01:44:54in the gym
01:44:55i don't i do it religiously yeah i've
01:44:57been over it for many years but this is
01:44:59required for this type of you know
01:45:02this is gonna be for adam sullivan and
