00:51prophet got the attention of the
00:54soon to be king of Israel through the
00:58use of drama through a theatrical
01:00representation of the message that God
01:04as we look through the scriptures this
01:06is the first of many times at least 30
01:08instances in which the prophets
01:11use theater to convey the idea they it's
01:15throughout Kings and Chronicles and boy
01:19in Isaiah Jeremiah Ezekiel the Major
01:26a fan of doing this in chapter 13
01:31he buries a linen cloth by a riverbank
01:34and Let It Go digs it up and that that
01:37action that dramatized action becomes
01:40the foundation for a prophetic word
01:43in Jeremiah 6 in his personal life
01:45became a theater he didn't get married
01:47he didn't have children that becomes a
01:49theme for prophetic message in Jeremiah
01:5118 he goes to a Potter's house and he
01:53looks at how pots are made and that
01:55becomes a thing for a message in
01:57Jeremiah 19 he buys a clay jar and he
02:01broke breaks this clay George Shadows
02:03into a thousand pieces with great drama
02:05with great Flair and that becomes the
02:07foundation for another message and on
02:10and on and on I can keep going with
02:12Jeremiah and others but you get the idea
02:14these guys not only had a word but they
02:17thought how do I present it and they
02:19chose visual artistic dramatic
02:22theatrical means to communicate the word
02:24of God and then build uh conceptual
02:27understanding around that
