00:03the final of the five senses we want to
00:06talk about the visual arts and the
00:09and we're going to talk about this from
00:10Ezekiel chapter 37 verses 1 through 10.
00:14here are some selections
00:16the Lord took hold of me Ezekiel said
00:18and I was carried away by the spirit of
00:21the Lord to a valley filled with bones
00:23they were scattered everywhere across
00:25the ground and were completely dried out
00:28then he asked me son of man can these
00:30bones become living people again oh
00:32Sovereign Lord I replied you alone know
00:35the answer to that then he said to me
00:37speak a prophetic message to these bones
00:40and say Dry Bones listen to the word of
00:43so I spoke the message as he commanded
00:46me and breath came into their bodies
00:48they all came to life and stood up on
00:51their feet a great Army
00:55wow you need to read the whole passage
00:57this is such a visually engaging story
01:02bones dried lifeless
01:10reasonably shaped skeletons then rising
01:14to their feet and having flesh attached
01:17to them and then finally Breath of Life
01:18wow God is the god who can do absolutely
01:22the most impossible things not just
01:24resurrecting a body that is dead a few
01:27hours or a few days but taking dried out
01:35and making people alive again incredible
01:40Visual Arts are powerful
01:43they Inspire us they give us Direction
01:46and you know we experience this in every
01:48dimension of our life
01:50when you go to a football stadium or a
01:56and your team is playing an opposing
01:58team and maybe your team wears yellow
02:01jerseys and your the other team wears
02:05red jerseys you're wearing of course the
02:09dearly the jersey of your team
02:11and you go into the stadium and you look
02:14around and you see where the yellow
02:16jerseys and where are the red jerseys
02:18and you sit accordingly and use it with
02:22a bunch of people that you didn't know
02:25but when your team scores a goal and the
02:27people wearing the same color of Jersey
02:28that you have on all jump up and rejoice
02:31you're high-fiving everyone they become
02:33your lifelong friends you treat them
02:35like you've always known them why you do
02:38you belong to them they're your
02:41because they're wearing the same color
02:43of shirt the same color of Jersey As You
02:52friends when we see things as we ought
02:54to see we envision what God purposes for
03:00and so we need to learn how to use the
03:02visual arts to advance the kingdom of
03:04God and so grateful for all those people
03:07of Faith who are using their awareness
03:15and smell and sound in sight to advance
