00:45various forms all kinds of contemporary
00:49perhaps you've heard this tune

01:07humming That Tune and you may or may not
01:10know that that is the beginning of the
01:12Corral and the final movement of
01:15Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
01:17it's a masterful piece it's been played
01:20thousands of times and hundreds of
01:22stages in probably most every country on
01:25Earth and it's just absolutely exquisite
01:30I've had the privilege of seeing it live
01:32multiple times I listened to it on my
01:35electronic devices my digital tools and
01:40it's it is absolutely beautiful
01:42and at times I find myself after
01:46having just experienced that I talked
01:48with someone who's also done that and
01:51they've not been they were not at the
01:54same concert at the same time I was
01:57but the fact that I know Beethoven's
02:01and listen to it live and they at some
02:04point know Beethoven's Ninth enlisted it
02:06at some other place at some other time
02:08in their life gives us an immediate
02:11opportunity to connect with one another
02:13music links us together
02:16I don't have to be at the same theater
02:18at the same time or the same concert or
02:21the same experience but the fact that
02:23you know this song and great songs live
02:26beyond a moment live beyond space and
02:30time they they expand throughout the
02:34world and they are connectors for us
02:36another piece of classical music that I
02:39really love is Handel's Messiah
02:42I've seen it live in concerts in various
02:46countries and multiple continents and I
02:50never get tired of it it's such a
02:52wonderful thing to express with others
02:54or to talk about with others who have
02:57experienced it some other place
02:59when you get to the Alleluia course it
03:01is absolutely wonderful as you hear
03:06sounds being played to rise to your feet
03:11and people all over the world have the
03:13custom of rising to their feet
03:16it's a point of unity this was happened
03:18because the king who heard it the first
03:21time this was played by Handel in in
03:24England he rose to his feet and as a
03:27tradition we all do that and so it's the
03:29common music and the common action
03:31millions of people have done the exact
03:34same thing at the exact same moment of
03:38different Generations different cultures
03:40in different venues at different times
03:43and it's a unifier it gives us something
03:48song Sound unifies us
