02:02people their brains shut down but when

04:04how would you feel if you were about to
04:06order your meal but your server starts
04:08bragging about all their fancy kitchen
04:11gear you know they're going on about the
04:13latest oven Tech they're using how sharp
04:15their knives are and super fast mixers
04:18you'd probably think okay but how is
04:20that going to make my dinner taste
04:22better and this is exactly where a lot
04:24of websites mess up so what if instead
04:27of just listing all your features you f
04:29focus on the benefits right how it makes
04:31life better for your customers it's not
04:34just about what you have it's about what
04:36your customer gets that's how you
04:38attract way more of them now here's a
04:40powerful trick to get this right use
04:42chat GPT you know you just tell it all
04:44the cool things about your service the
04:46features then you ask it to flip those
04:49features into benefits then the benefits
04:52become the big bold headlines on your
04:54site and the features they're just the
04:56details that show how you deliver those
05:00this next mistake is way too common and
05:02the fix is so easy now to understand it
05:06picture this you're sitting in a diner
05:08and you notice the specials board you
05:09see soup dour but there's no details no
05:12description of what kind of soup it is
05:14no hint at the ingredients or flavors
05:17and when you ask what is the soup toour
05:20it's the soup of the day whether you're
05:21deciding on what to order at a diner or
05:23on the fence about booking a service a
05:26lack of clarity about what comes next is
05:28a deal killer and most call to action
05:30buttons I see are definitely not clear
05:34now there are generally three ways that
05:35you're call to action could be missing
05:37the mark first up if it's trying too
05:39hard to be witty but it ends up just
05:42being confusing instead you know say you
05:44run a vet's office and your call to
05:46action says unleash Better Health it's
05:49cute sure but it doesn't tell me what
05:51I'm actually clicking for next is if
05:54you're called to actions too vague the
05:56classic example of this is contact us
05:59contact you for what to see if you can
06:01help to pick your brain just to talk and
06:04the third call to action misfire is if
06:06it's at all misleading about what comes
06:09next like if your button said chat with
06:11a vet now but it leads to a form to fill
06:14out instead of an immediate live chat or
06:16a call back you know the visitor expects
06:18an instant chat here not a delayed
06:21response the good news is all three are
06:24a super easy fix you know if you want
06:26them to fill out a form book a chat or
06:28schedule something just say it no clever
06:31lless needed be clear and you're golden
06:34speaking of golden to understand this
06:36next mistake imagine you're approaching
06:38those iconic golden arches of McDonald's
06:41you're in your car hungry ready to order
06:43the drive-thru but wait the menus
06:46changed instead of those easy to read
06:48lists and pictures now there's just a
06:51wall of text paragraphs describing each
06:54combo you'd be squinting and confused
06:57right and imagine the line of cars pil
06:59up behind you you'd give up and leave if
07:01you weren't trapped there well people
07:04aren't trapped on your website they're
07:05distracted as it is and they definitely
07:08don't have the patience to Wade through
07:10walls of text on your website people
07:12skim websites they don't really read
07:13them so if you give them easily
07:15skimmable content they'll feel calmer
07:18and they'll better understand what's in
07:20it for them you just need to break your
07:21content into bite-sized pieces you know
07:23use headings short paragraphs lots of

07:31important messaging so think about how
07:33it feels walking through a huge grocery
07:35store sure everything is at your
07:37fingertips and you've got a zillion
07:39options but let's be honest it feels
07:41kind of cold and Anonymous right but the
07:44farmers market is a whole different vibe
07:46you know you're chatting with the guys
07:47who actually grew the apples or baked
07:50the bread and this isn't just about
07:51buying better tasting food it's about
07:54that feeling that you're supporting real
07:57hardworking people but yet I see it all
07:59the time time websites with literally no
08:01traces of the real humans behind the
08:04business and that makes people feel like
08:07you're some kind of scammy Fly by Night
08:09operation whether they know it or not
08:11your website visitors need to see and
08:14know who they're doing business with so
08:17introduce yourself or your team right
08:19here on your homepage just after you've
08:21laid out the problems that your
08:23clients's face and your about us page
08:25that's where you can share even more
08:27your journey what you fight for what you
08:30rally against and why it's so personal
08:33for you imagine someone serves you a
08:35bowl of pasta with marinara sauce and
08:38it's this exaggerated almost neon red
08:40color it looks unnatural and you can't
08:43help but feel like something's a little
08:45off here it seems like it's just a
08:47visual Quirk but as any foodie knows we
08:50eat first with our eyes and if your
08:53website's first impression feels fake
08:55people are automatically going to think
08:57that any claims you make on your site
08:59must be fake too so avoid these kinds of
09:02super exaggerated unnatural images and
09:05don't worry I'm not telling you that you
09:07can't use stock photos there are
09:08actually lots of great ones out there
09:10that don't scream stock photo just be
09:13picky about them right I always
09:14recommend filling your site with photos
09:16that are meant to show how happy your
09:19customers are after they've worked with
09:21you so look for real satisfied
09:23Expressions not those over-the-top super
09:27excited faces I bet you you've been to
09:29one of those touristy towns that's
09:31really just a bunch of T-shirt stores
09:33and way too many ice cream shops right
09:35and you could go for a scoop or two but
09:37you can't decide which flavor to try or
09:40even which shop to walk into suddenly
09:43one catches your eye with a free taste
09:45sign you think why not when you step
09:47inside you get to try a bunch of flavors
09:49no strings attached oh can I try the
09:51tiam missu that's good that's a good one
09:54that's a good one get that this not only
09:56helps you decide on a flavor but you end
09:58up buying from that store see most
10:01people who visit your website are just
10:02window shopping really you know we're
10:0596% of your traffic if you don't have a
10:08plan for them you're literally ignoring
10:1296% of your potential customers so you
10:15need your version of a free taste sign
10:18you know a chill low pressure way for
10:20people to connect with what you're
10:22offering and for you to set yourself up
10:24to be their Top Choice when they're
10:27finally ready to commit this strategy
10:29all about creating a pool of future
10:31customers and the key here is to offer
10:34something valuable that they can grab on
10:36to without too much commitment this is

10:56on every single page I love how Pizza
10:59solved this problem they were having so
11:02a lot of people who started ordering a
11:04pizza on their app gave up halfway
11:06through the ordering process so they
11:08invented what they called zero click
11:11ordering open the app do nothing and Bam
11:15your favorite pizza's on its way so if
11:17your website's contact form has too many
11:19fields or it's just a bit too
11:21complicated people won't bother filling
11:24it out did you know that the magic
11:26number for form Fields is exactly three
11:29and every additional question makes
11:31conversion rates drop in half so just
11:34keep your form short and sweet name
11:36email maybe one more thing that's all
11:38you need and you can actually make it
11:40even smoother you know giving your
