00:04we had done seven years of running a

00:06business

00:07we survived three near bankruptcies and

00:09you were sort of feeling like

00:11you know i've learned all there is to

00:12know now so what possibly could

00:15concede offer me and yet the experience

00:18was nothing like

00:20what i thought it would be it was

00:22phenomenal

00:23you're running your business day to day

00:25and you're seeing it like this

00:26right you're looking at all the

00:28challenges the problems the weaknesses

00:30the you know the competition the

00:31regulatory the government

00:33and then you have seed and stanford c

00:36teaches you to think like

00:38like that

00:45the seed transformation program is a

00:46program targeted at

00:49the founders and leaders of small and

00:51medium-sized businesses

00:53in developing economies seed for me is

00:58the number one game changer it's like

01:00going to business school really

01:02but it's i think it's even better you

01:04have a

01:05process tools methodology the seed

01:09as that program that actually helps you

01:13to plan your business so that it can

01:16outlive you it came in the right time

01:18to help think through some of the

01:20challenges um things like how to deal

01:22with corruption things like how to

01:23motivate your staff

01:25with the same resources

01:28we're about five times more efficient

01:30than we were

01:31within these times i've been i've

01:33encountered

01:34my business has grown more than 50 we've

01:37just opened our 10th store

01:38from six we've grown to ten we're going

01:41to open another two in the next couple

01:42of months and maybe another two before

01:44the end of the year

01:45we've more than doubled our revenues the

01:47last one year

01:49we've grown 300 we've gone from 30

01:52people to 80.

01:53we just closed with acumen fund so today

01:56we're operating about

01:57three new other countries i think what

01:59we've seen so far is

02:01it seems to work they are some of the

02:04most energetic they are some of the most

02:06committed

02:07they are some of the most uh

02:09entrepreneurial and insightful

02:11leaders that i have ever interacted with

02:13i think that's what the seed

02:15program gives you that this courage

02:18to see clearly where you're going and so

02:21you you don't stop walking because the

02:23you know the journey has just begun

02:26ambition was trust me me

02:29my family but now it's not is different

02:34is my country is my region is

02:37africa is the world i think successful

02:40impact it doesn't matter what you've

02:42accomplished personally

02:44you're not yet seeing the correlation

02:50i'll only be successful when we've been
