01:17the past 6 years and I appreciate that
01:20because today almost every Creator is
01:23sponsored by it even the ones I love Mr
01:26B the try guys Jacks Nicky jubile and so
01:31many more better help is a 24/7 online
01:34therapy service they promise easily
01:36accessible therapy with licensed
01:38therapists for an arguably cheap price
01:42they're like Fiverr but for mental
01:45health and if that sounds like a
01:47terrible ID to you don't worry that's
01:50because it is the company has been in
01:52scandal after scandal after Scandal for
01:55the past 6 years some of you might
01:57remember that back in 2018 countless of
02:00creators were also being sponsored by
02:02better help until their first candle
02:04came to light remember when I mentioned
02:07that they promised licensed therapists
02:09well in 2018 the only license they had
02:12was for being stinky Little Liars
02:15affordable and private online therapy
02:18with a professional they don't guarantee
02:20the verification of the skills degrees
02:23qualifications certification credentials
02:26competence or background of any counsel
02:30it's your responsibility to determine
02:32whether they have any degree or
02:33qualification or certification once this
02:35game to light everyone started dropping
02:38better help as a sponsorship of course I
02:40was one of the disgusting YouTubers that
02:43um did a better help promotion and this
02:46was before I knew any of the um you know
02:49the the controversy better help better
02:51help yourself out of this P
02:55disaster which they have because they're
02:58back now better health worse than ever
03:01in the past few months many of my
03:02favorite creators have been pushing
03:04better help again and as naive as I
03:06could be I thought hm I mean better help
03:09might have improved themselves their
03:10first Scandal did happen 6 years ago and
03:13I did read that they now do only use
03:15licensed therapists uh that was until I
03:18started reading the comment section on
03:20the videos that they were sponsoring
03:22quick reminder about better help's
03:24controversial past and also how they're
03:26selling your information to advertisers
03:28please don't take better help's money
03:30they do more harm than good I really
03:32wish you wouldn't continue advertising
03:35better help they sold Mental Health Data
03:38for marketing without anonymizing it for
03:41massive profits well screw you random
03:45comments because Alan matz the
03:47co-founder of betterhelp ured me they
03:50would never do anything as crazy as
03:52secretly sell private Mental Health Data
03:55from their users he called it a
03:57far-fetched conspiracy and a gross
03:59violation of federal laws state laws
04:02Hippa regulations and their own terms
04:05and privacy policy which is why they
04:08were fined 7.8 Million by the FTC last
04:11year for doing exactly that yeah so the
04:15FDC proved that they have been sharing
04:18private Mental Health Data of their
04:20users as well as their IP addresses
04:23email address with companies like
04:25Facebook and Snapchat this Mental Health
04:28Data included an answers to very
04:30personal questions such as sexual
04:32orientation specific reasons for wanting
04:35therapy possible eating disorders and so
04:38much more of course when they were
04:40asking those questions of their users
04:42they ensured them that they wouldn't be
04:44sharing this at all except with their
04:46therapist of course and yeah oh boy
04:50can't wait what ads Facebook is going to
04:51show me now that they think I'm an
04:53anxious and employed widowed bisexual
04:56experiencing eating disorders and daddy
05:02an add for better help oh man and those
05:05are just the lies they were caught on so
05:08far and I mean they've been lying about
05:10these ones for years but you know poor
05:13startup multi-billion doll company can't
05:17apologize for their action it's not
05:19their fault that they try to abuse
05:22Goodwill of their users for personal
05:24corporate gain uh so let's give them a
05:26chance and actually check out their
05:28services and who better to check it out
05:30than someone with a master's degree in
05:32Psychology who is giving therapy right
05:38girlfriend hey so I already told you
05:41about better help and how great of a
05:43company they are yeah well since I'm
05:46just a dumb content creator and you're a
05:48literal holder of a master's degree in
05:51Psychology I would like you to talk
05:54about the services better heal provides
05:56their users I mean look at all these
05:58beautiful green better help check marks
06:01while in-office poop sessions have all
06:04these red crosses you know unlike
06:06in-office therapy a better help has
06:09messaging at any time chat sessions
06:12video sessions phone sessions I mean
06:14most in office therapists have phones
06:17and laptops as well no they don't well
06:21you might have a master's degree but I'm
06:23pretty sure you haven't learned how to
06:25message at any time I mean I don't think
06:27the better help therapists are going to
06:28answer 24/7 they have their personal
06:30lives and we as therapists want the
06:32client to be able to process what they
06:34learned and not text us 24/7 because
06:37then you're not going to grow as a
06:39person I think you're wrong wait so you
06:42dare say that better help spks are
06:45actually not perks they're
06:50craps stupid I mean you guys don't have
06:53easy to switch providers [Â __Â ] does that
06:55even mean well either they're talking
06:57about switching Telecom providers but
06:59I'm pretty sure they're referring to
07:01easily being able to switch therapists I
07:03mean an office therapists can be changed
07:06no we all know you're assigned an
07:08in-office therapist at Birth and then
07:10can't change it for the rest of your
07:12life yeah Jokes Aside my in-office
07:15therapist had basically all of these
07:17Services I mean I could text her
07:19whenever I could mail her when I had to
07:22move abroad to Sweden we just did video
07:24call therapy for 4 months so this
07:27deceitful chart should actually look
07:29look like this okay so can you guess how
07:32much they dare ask for this it's
07:34supposed to be cheaper than an office RP
07:40$300 I'm sorry more specifically $260 to
07:45$360 a month depending on location
07:48preferences and therapist availability
07:50do you know how much I paid for my 260
07:53minute sessions for in-office therapy a
07:58$130 like who the [Â __Â ] is this service
08:01even for you know what we shouldn't be
08:04judging the better heal platform without
08:08it we're not paying for yeah we don't
08:10have $300 laying around no there are
08:13enough horror stories on Tik Tok where
08:16they share what I hope no one will ever
08:18have to experience in therapy so you
08:20want to watch some Tik toks
08:25no I did better help for about three
08:27weeks and the straw that broke my back
08:29was when the therapist was in office for
08:32the first time the last time was in her
08:34living room and I was like I'm just
08:35going to believe no one else is there as
08:37I log on to the video she's talking to
08:39someone and then just stops talking it's
08:41like hey how are you so let's get
08:42started I'm like someone is in there she
08:45gets up walks out an Open Door meaning
08:48there was no privacy goes into the
08:50lounge of like the office makes popcorn
08:54while I'm talking and then comes back
08:57with sits down and is eating po popcorn
08:59with her mouthful just
09:08what wait was I supposed to react to
09:13something how many years do you think
09:14it's going to be before we see a true
09:16crime documentary about better help so I
09:18tried better help twice um I actually
09:20got a refund from them so my first
09:23therapist um was 10 minutes late to our
09:2610minute meeting our first initial
09:27meeting and then she was like oh wow we
09:29don't have a lot of time I contacted
09:31them and I got a different therapist he
09:33was also late and just completely missed
09:35our first meeting we second said a
09:36second one he missed that one and then
09:37he just texted like oh man I'm so sorry
09:40I was at my other job and I was just
09:41like what the wait didn't they advertise
09:45in-office therapy being bad because they
09:47have waiting times with in-office
09:49therapy you've got to spend time in
09:51their waiting rooms with better help you
09:53can save that time and spend it in our
09:56waiting rooms this is no better help I
09:58tried better help like a year ago and in
10:00my first meeting they're like well what
10:01are you struggling with and I tell them
10:02I have an anxiety disorder a panic
10:04disorder and I'm dealing with depression
10:05to which he goes I don't think you
10:06really have those disorders it's just
10:08society's fault because right now
10:10they're oppressing men you can't go out
10:12and compliment a woman without becoming
10:14a offender now I'm just Gob smacked by
10:17this just like what but he continues
10:20down this tangent and then he goes well
10:23and you're also a straight white man so
10:25of course you're the the reason that
10:27everything in the world is bad when when
10:28you look at history and think about it
10:30we're really the saviors of the world
10:32yeah I closed the laptop after that and
10:35I was done don't do better help imagine
10:37paying like $300 a month just to get
10:40assigned to Andre date with a psychology
10:42degree look I'm not saying that better
10:44help never helped anyone I mean that
10:47would be crazy there have been people
10:49who said that their platform actually
10:51improved their mental health enormous
10:53but with the countless horror stories
10:55and their Shady practices I don't know
10:58if the Goods outweigh the bads there are
11:01also endless articles of how poorly and
11:04disrespectful their therapists are being
11:06treated it's truly just a mess for both

11:19company with such a shady and deceitful
