00:03on this channel without making a dime
00:05when i first started and i now recently
00:07realized that i make 390
00:09a day at least in passive income and
00:11this has been consistent for months but
00:13it wasn't always this way in order to
00:15get this point where i was making
00:16passive income i had to go through years
00:18of failure where i wasn't making any
00:21and then when i finally did start making
00:24grinding the truth about passive income
00:26especially in the beginning
00:27is that everybody wants it and so you
00:29have to work extra hard
00:31up front in order to start generating it
00:33and i wish i would have seen a video
00:35like this years ago so that i'd have a
00:37better understanding about how to go
00:39generating this passive income because i
00:41think passive income is sort of a
00:42buzzword that people throw around and
00:44they don't actually realize what it
00:46i think a lot of people view passive
00:48income as money that just grows on trees
00:51that's not how passive income works it's
00:53more like farming where you're doing a
00:55ton of work up front and then you're
00:57reaping the rewards of all that hard
01:00a long time down the line and in this
01:02video i'm going to show you different
01:03ways that i've been consistently
01:04generating passive income over the last
01:07and if you're new to the channel people
01:08subscribe to learn about personal

01:14appreciation for these videos viewers

01:18any of that smashing stuff here and
01:20these kinds of videos are never easy to
01:21make it's pretty taboo to talk about the
01:23subject of money and it does tend to get
01:25a lot of hate comments but after getting
01:27tons of requests to make a video like
01:28this i decided to so i really hope this
01:30inspires people and maybe it'll give you
01:32a few ideas on what you can do in your
01:34all right so the way i'm gonna structure
01:36this video is i'm gonna start from the
01:38passive to the least passive types of
01:42not all passive income is created
01:43equally some of these methods are
01:45completely passive and others are
01:47semi-passive so first one on the list is
01:50favorite form of passive income and that
01:53now this last year has been absolutely
01:56when it comes to the stock market
01:58millionaires have been made there's been
02:00stocks that have gone up like 10x
02:01there's been cryptocurrencies that have
02:03gone up over a thousand percent
02:05and i have had an incredible year when
02:07it comes to investing now
02:09my investments are all over the place i
02:11invest in retirement accounts like the
02:13roth ira and the 401k
02:15i think one of the safest ways of
02:16investing is to put your money into a
02:19etf or index fund but i also invest into
02:22individual companies and usually this is
02:24because they pay dividends or it's just
02:26a company that i really
02:27like maybe i'll make a lot of money from
02:29that company maybe i won't but either
02:31way i'll feel really good about it
02:32because these are companies that i
02:34a common example of this would of course
02:36be the tesla's of the world
02:37and my favorite app for investing in
02:39individual companies that's extremely
02:40beginner friendly is going to be weibull
02:42which you can get four free stocks
02:44valued up to fourteen hundred dollars
02:46down in the description
02:47if you deposit one hundred now i also
02:50invest some of my portfolio into
02:52cryptocurrency and that has gone up like
02:54crazy as well overall in december 2020
02:57my investment portfolio went up
03:0342 397.42 and that's honestly on the
03:06now i thought that month would never be
03:08topped but in january my portfolio went
03:15which is just i don't even know what to
03:19now you might be wondering shane the
03:22390 a day in passive income but right
03:25that alone is over six hundred dollars a
03:27day what's going on here well
03:29technically speaking it's not income
03:31because i haven't sold any of my
03:34and on top of that these two months were
03:37occurrences like this is not normal at
03:40and in a few months i wouldn't be
03:41surprised at all if my portfolio ended
03:43up crashing by 20 to 25 000
03:46as well and so i don't think it would be
03:48very fair to put all of this as
03:49passive income it would kind of be like
03:51cherry picking the really good months
03:53in reality over the long run from what i
03:55have invested in my portfolio right now
03:57i think a conservative estimate would be
03:59about 1083 dollars a month in profit so
04:02that's what we're going to put as the
04:04passive income from my investments
04:06next we're going to be talking about the
04:07second most passive type of income and
04:10actually i'd say this is tied for first
04:12and that's going to be cryptocurrency
04:15staking now staking is very similar to a
04:18high interest savings account but
04:19instead of money it's going to be
04:23instead of getting like 0.1 back of your
04:26money every single year
04:27you're going to be getting around six to
04:29eight percent sometimes even more
04:31return from staking now to be honest i
04:33want to have a little disclaimer here
04:35crypto in general is pretty
04:37risky so there's three things you really
04:39want to think about if you're
04:40considering investing into
04:42first of all don't invest any more than
04:44you're willing to lose this is probably
04:46one of the more risky types of investing
04:49if you're somebody who doesn't have a
04:50very high risk tolerance i would really
04:52suggest just putting your money into an
04:53index fund that's going to be the best
04:56the second thing you need to know about
04:57cryptocurrency is i invest
04:59long term so i'm not somebody who's
05:01trying to time the market buy and sell
05:03at different times i invest long term so
05:06whatever i buy i likely won't sell
05:08for five to ten years at least and the
05:10third thing is you really need to do
05:12your research and know what you're
05:14into don't just you know follow the
05:16opinion of somebody on the internet
05:18make sure you do your due diligence here
05:20staking is the same way now there's a
05:22bunch of different websites that do this
05:24but the one i mostly use is blockfy.com
05:27blockvi has a lot of legitimate
05:28businesses that are backing them and i
05:30trust them more than any other staking
05:33now some of the other ones you can get a
05:34little bit better yield but generally
05:36i'm getting around six to eight percent
05:38so with those numbers i'm making around
05:40ten dollars a day or so using block five
05:42staking which is really nice
05:44now i'm very careful and i pretty much
05:46only stake like a few different types of
05:48cryptocurrency mostly ethereum and
05:51and in december i made around 290
05:53dollars and 70 cents and in january i
05:55made around 308 dollars and
05:5830 cents and the cool thing about this
06:00is it's compounding interest so all the
06:02money i make from that goes directly
06:03back into the account and so the next
06:06after that it's probably going to be
06:07slightly higher so the next type of
06:09passive income is going to be affiliate
06:11so let's say i do a video where i talk
06:14about a really good book on money which
06:16is the millionaire next door
06:17and i'm just talking about you know some
06:19of the parts of this book that i really
06:20agree with and you know how maybe you
06:22should read it yourself if you want to
06:24get educated on personal finance for
06:27and i just happen to link that down in
06:29the description with an amazon link
06:31you go to it you buy the book i might
06:33end up getting like 30 cents
06:35and there's honestly a lot of spammers
06:36out there who just like spam affiliate
06:38links and there's also some people who
06:40promote products just because the
06:41affiliate offer is good
06:43but i personally think overall affiliate
06:46and i really just think that it's a
06:48win-win situation for everyone and i
06:50personally only promote links to
06:51products that i'm already using myself
06:54and a lot of the time the person who
06:55buys the product is going to get some
06:56kind of discount code
06:58the person who's selling the product the
07:00company themselves are going to get an
07:02extra sale that they wouldn't have
07:03otherwise and the person who promoted
07:06is going to end up getting a small cut
07:08as well so it's a win-win situation for
07:11and whenever i'm thinking about buying
07:13something i will always go to like
07:14youtuber friends video
07:16descriptions or i'll text a friend for a
07:18referral link something along those
07:20just because it's literally free money
07:22it's not like the company's upselling
07:23the person like charging them extra just
07:25because they used an affiliate link
07:27nope they're literally just giving them
07:28a discount and they're giving you a
07:31seriously meet kevin has probably scored
07:33like maybe 100 bucks off of me with the
07:35affiliate links i've used in his
07:37and this is such a great way of making
07:39passive income because they basically
07:41just sit there wherever you put them for
07:43and you know maybe five years down the
07:45line an extra 100 000 people might end
07:48and a few of them end up clicking your
07:49link and nobody has to click on these
07:51links you could just put
07:53weeble.com into google and it'll pop up
07:55there as well and then the person
07:57doesn't get the affiliate commission
07:58but if you appreciate the person's video
08:00and you want to help them out
08:01then it's nice to click on their link
08:03just to give them a little bit of a
08:05now the first year and a half that i had
08:06this youtube channel i had no idea what
08:08i was doing and i actually didn't put an
08:10affiliate link in the description
08:12until i was over 100 000 subscribers i
08:14finally started putting links in the
08:16description just a few months ago i put
08:18weeble link and it's been doing okay i
08:21don't really talk about it or promote it
08:23it's been getting me a few hundred bucks
08:25every month and then i finally decided
08:28other companies that i really like and
08:29use in the description and i have no
08:31idea how they're doing because i haven't
08:33checked yet so from what i've heard
08:35your affiliate and sponsorship earnings
08:37are supposed to be about like
08:38one to one with your youtube channel
08:42and because of the fact that i'm not
08:43really utilizing that at all
08:45it's nowhere near that it's not even
08:47like ten to one like it's not even one
08:49tenth of what i earn
08:50with adsense so in december i earned
08:56and in january it was 405 and 7
08:59cents from affiliate links the numbers
09:02are not in yet but i do think that
09:04february is going to be a little bit
09:05better it's probably going to be over a
09:08next on the list we're going to be
09:09talking about patreon and this is
09:11basically a platform
09:13outside of youtube where people can pay
09:15for exclusive content
09:16no not only fans patreon this is
09:19something i started because a lot of
09:21people were requesting this and
09:22basically i keep this extremely
09:24minimalistic so basically people who
09:27can't wait for me to come out with a
09:29video about whatever subject they want
09:31they can go to my patreon and i sort of
09:32just have like some lists there that
09:34would probably help them out
09:36i have a subjective degree ranking list
09:38an objective degree ranking list
09:40and then i also talk about what my
09:41investments are as well i'm thinking
09:43about maybe making the patreon into more
09:46news sort of thing where if i see really
09:50opportunities come out like a really
09:51good investment or maybe
09:53some kind of program some sort of
09:55certification where you can maybe like
09:57like a hundred thousand dollars with
09:58just a six month certification
10:00something along those lines where it
10:02wouldn't be the type of content that
10:04good enough to make a full video from it
10:06but i can make like a really quick video
10:08where i talk about it on patreon
10:09i'm thinking about doing something like
10:11that with it but right now i'm just
10:13keeping it super minimalistic

10:19hey guys uh quick pause here i'm in the
10:22right now and for some reason there were
10:24some issues with the last part of the
10:26so uh instead of going over that and
10:29trying to fix that i've just decided to
10:30kind of cut in here and just go over the
10:33instead on on my spreadsheet right now
10:36basically when it comes to youtube
10:38adsense you can check out the video that
10:40on my youtube income but when it comes
10:44i would say the passive part of youtube
10:47adsense aka people finding my videos
10:49through search results
10:51and then sometimes finding my videos
10:53through discovery on the on the right
10:54hand side the videos that you see on the
10:56right hand side when you're on
10:57the computer and at the bottom when
10:59you're on phone i say i make about a
11:01hundred dollars a day
11:03or three thousand dollars a month and i
11:05would say that's relatively conservative
11:07because there's been several times where
11:09i've stopped uploading to the channel
11:11and it seems to just promote my older
11:13videos more when i stop uploading so
11:16it doesn't really seem like it affects
11:18my passive income or active income all
11:21although when i upload a lot of new
11:24videos it does tend to
11:26kind of boost the algorithm a little bit
11:27but it honestly doesn't go down all that
11:30now if i stopped uploading for like a
11:32several months or something like that
11:34who knows what would happen but
11:35i would say conservatively speaking i
11:38could still make around a hundred
11:39dollars a day if i stopped uploading so
11:41that's gonna be about three thousand
11:43dollars a month when it comes to youtube
11:45passive income from adsense and so when
11:49up in total when it comes to passive
11:51income for the month of december
11:53it's four thousand eight hundred and
11:54fifteen dollars and sixty four
11:56cents and for the month of january it's
11:59four thousand nine hundred and thirty
12:00five dollars and thirty seven cents so
12:04for february i do believe that my
12:05passive income overall
12:07did go down a little bit my investments
12:11the market did sort of crash around the
12:12end of february not everything is in
12:16but uh yeah affiliate income definitely
12:19february adsense was down just a little
12:23and then everything else was about
12:24normal so i'd say february might be
12:26slightly down from all of these numbers
12:29but that's something that you would kind
12:30of expect to happen towards the
12:32beginning of the year
12:33january february do tend to be lower
12:36but yeah just wanted to uh jump in here
12:38instead of refilming the entire video
