00:00jobs every company will be hiring for by
00:04that's what we're going to be talking
00:05about today but before we get into that
00:07gently tap the like button in order to
00:09defeat the evil youtube algorithm on
00:10this channel we talk about personal
00:12finance college degrees careers and
00:14opportunities that will lead you to
00:15success and we also talk about avoiding
00:17some of the common financial traps
00:19that so many people fall for if you're
00:21new here and that sounds like something
00:22that interests you and you haven't done
00:24go ahead smash the subscribe button and
00:26ring the notification bell so that you
00:28never miss an opportunity and with that
00:30let's jump right into it number 10 on
00:33the list is going to be a project
00:34management specialist so this is one of
00:37those careers that i like to talk about
00:38where you're almost like a mini
00:40entrepreneur within a business it's
00:41almost like entrepreneurship with
00:44so you would basically take over an
00:46entire project that a business would do
00:48usually it's going to be a bigger
00:49business and you would be the leader of
00:51that project you'd carry out the plans
00:53ceo or the executives of the business
00:56set for you and see it out until the
00:57very end now there's about 80
00:59000 new positions that are expected to
01:01pop up over the next 10 years and they
01:05a year right now now you can be in just
01:07about any industry out there and be a
01:09you could be in the construction
01:10industry software development industry
01:13and sometimes there isn't even any
01:15supervision depending on the company
01:16that you work for sometimes you're the
01:18top person that everybody else reports
01:20and you are in charge of pretty much
01:22every aspect of a new
01:23product so let's say that elon musk
01:25decides that he wants to create an
01:27mini helicopter that anyone can have and
01:29just ride around on in their backyard he
01:32the product manager in charge of that
01:34particular product you would be in
01:35charge of the entire life cycle of the
01:37product all the way from idea to
01:39conception to bringing it to market you
01:41would make a minimum viable product and
01:43then you'd make refinements to make it a
01:44little bit better and make sure that it
01:46can be mass produced for the market this
01:48is going to require a lot of leadership
01:50and management skill you're going to
01:51have to communicate with all kinds of
01:52different departments within
01:54the company and you can see why this is
01:55such a coveted skill
01:57next one on the list number nine is
01:58going to be computer and information
02:01this one is projected to have about 48
02:03000 positions open up in the next 10
02:05years and you're gonna make around 146
02:07000 a year now this one is somewhat
02:09similar to project management but it's
02:11more tailored towards the technology
02:13side of things and in particular
02:14information systems another way to say
02:16this is that it's mostly management but
02:18it's tailored towards being
02:20management in the field of information
02:22systems you'll be doing a lot of the
02:23same things scheduling
02:25resource allocation making sure that you
02:27meet timelines and of course
02:28management now i've talked about this a
02:30lot before on the channel it's a really
02:32great combination of technology and
02:34leadership and business skills so
02:36technology is something that i would
02:38opportunity right now there's just so
02:40much opportunity when it comes to tech
02:42whether that be coding or information
02:45it's a huge opportunity right now at
02:47this particular time in history
02:49and then management and leadership
02:50skills that's just like an evergreen
02:52skill it doesn't matter what time in
02:53history that you were born into
02:55that is a skill that's going to be very
02:57valuable so you combine these two things
02:59very few people have the technical
03:00knowledge as well as the skill set
03:02it's a great combo next one on the list
03:04number eight is going to be management
03:06analysts so management analysts have a
03:09very interesting job it's more of a
03:11retroactive job meaning that you're
03:13going to be looking back in the history
03:15of a company some of the other careers
03:17that i just mentioned
03:17are more forward thinking you're you
03:19know creating new products and you're
03:20making sure that they get to market on
03:22this one is more of a backwards thinking
03:24type career where you're looking back at
03:26the history of the company looking at
03:28their numbers etc and seeing how you can
03:30improve things there's projected to be
03:3293 000 new positions in the next 10
03:34years and they're making around 85 000
03:37a year now sometimes management analysts
03:39will work for a particular company full
03:40time then they basically just go around
03:42to different departments and figure out
03:43how to streamline and optimize things
03:46a lot of the time they'll also work as a
03:47consultant for a consulting company
03:50and they'll specialize in a very
03:51specific field so let's say that a
03:53company is having an issue
03:54tracking their sales and marketing
03:56numbers on a digital product that's sold
03:58online they want to figure out which one
03:59of their ads are most effective which
04:01ones of their ads are not working all
04:03sometimes this might only result in a 10
04:065 percent increase in profit but when
04:09you're talking about something that's at
04:10a really high level it's at scale
04:12that can be millions of dollars
04:14potentially management analysts would
04:15basically go through and just tweak
04:17things here and there
04:18just to make tiny little improvements or
04:20maybe a manufacturer of a car company
04:22needs help reorganizing their supply
04:24chain so that they can make more cars in
04:26a day maybe a factory is creating let's
04:28say a hundred cars in a day
04:30the management analysts might be able to
04:31come in there and if they're able to
04:33help the factory create 105 or maybe 110
04:36that actually helps out the company a
04:38lot so usually as a management analyst
04:41you would be a specialist in a very
04:43specific field and you would just help a
04:45lot of different companies
04:46with the same problem as a consultant
04:49number seven on the list is going to be
04:51market research analysts and marketing
04:54so market research analyst this is
04:55another career that's a little bit more
04:57backwards looking you're not necessarily
04:59going to be doing the actual marketing
05:01itself you're not going to be creating
05:02the marketing or anything like that
05:04what you will be doing is you'll be
05:05gathering data on a particular market
05:07you'll be looking at the consumers as
05:09well as the competitors within that
05:11so very simply speaking you're going to
05:13be figuring out what products people
05:15who will buy them and at what price
05:17point you should put them at now with
05:18this position you're going to be making
05:20000 a year and in the next 10 years
05:23there's going to be a 130 000 jobs that
05:25become available so a significant amount
05:27of your job as a market research analyst
05:29is going to be conducting different
05:30surveys and polls with customers or
05:33potential customers you're going to be
05:34figuring out the best way to set up
05:36these surveys and polls so that you get
05:38accurate data you'll also be asking a
05:40lot of questions so in order to get
05:42really good answers you have to ask
05:43really good questions
05:45it's very easy to be misled if you set
05:47up a really bad poll or you ask a really
05:50and so there's a real art and science to
05:52asking questions and creating surveys
05:54now on top of that you would be running
05:56focus groups and this is where you would
05:58actually meet with people
05:59in person and you would ask them
06:01questions and you would see what people
06:04because a lot of the time people will be
06:06more forthcoming if you ask them
06:07questions in person and
06:08it's just the more real and you're
06:10actually talking to a real human being
06:12number six on the list is going to be a
06:16this is one of my favorite careers i've
06:18talked about this one a lot especially
06:19if you're interested in health care this
06:21is one of the better ones that you can
06:22go for now depending on the laws and
06:24where you're at you can do quite a bit
06:26as a nurse practitioner
06:27generally speaking you can treat
06:29prescribe and diagnose certain
06:31and a lot of the time you won't have to
06:33be under direct supervision of a doctor
06:35so you don't need the doctor's
06:36permission in order to prescribe or
06:39one of these careers where you can get
06:40into the career start actually making
06:42money in a reasonable amount of time
06:44usually about six years or so you don't
06:46have to do eight years of schooling and
06:48then a seven year residency and then a
06:49two-year fellowship like sometimes
06:51doctors have to do so this is a position
06:53that can be very attractive to someone
06:55who is interested in being in health but
06:57you don't want to spend all of your 20s
06:58and half of your 30s
06:59working like 80 to 100 hours a week and
07:03in debt now this one is growing insanely
07:06fast like unbelievably fast in the next
07:0910 years there's gonna be a hundred and
07:11ten thousand positions that open up
07:13and nurse practitioners make really good
07:15money they make around a hundred and
07:16nine thousand dollars a year
07:17and that keeps going up so i made a
07:19video about all of the downsides of
07:21being a medical doctor and there are
07:23quite a bit of them i still think it's a
07:25good career overall but i think a lot of
07:28get into it not knowing exactly what
07:29they're getting themselves into
07:31i think this is a great alternative for
07:33people who are interested in being a
07:34doctor but they don't want to spend all
07:36time has a lot of the upsides of being a
07:38doctor with few of the downsides
07:40you get to have a very meaningful career
07:42like a medical doctor would
07:44have but you also get to have work-life
07:46balance which is nice as well
07:47number five on the list is going to be a
07:49medical and health services manager so
07:51this is someone who would be like an
07:53executive or an administrator at a
07:55hospital or a clinic
07:56and they can range in management from
07:58managing an entire group of physicians
08:00down to just managing a very small part
08:02of a hospital now a lot of the time
08:04these positions will be filled by people
08:06who already work in healthcare and they
08:08kind of just want to move up into more
08:09of a managerial position
08:11so a lot of these positions are going to
08:12be filled by nurses doctors
08:14pharmacists etc but in the next 10 years
08:18000 jobs that are going to be opening
08:20and they make around 100 000
08:22a year there is a lot that goes into the
08:24business side of health healthcare
08:25making sure that a hospital or clinic
08:28and like i said traditionally these
08:29positions are taken up by people who
08:31have actual healthcare experience which
08:34trust me that's a good thing so it's a
08:36good idea to get some healthcare
08:37experience as a nurse or something like
08:39that if you want to get into a position
08:41number four on the list is going to be a
08:45so financial managers are going to be a
08:47forward-looking career where you're
08:48going to be thinking about the future of
08:50a company so you're going to be thinking
08:52how are you going to accomplish the
08:53company's goals while making sure that
08:56cash flow profitability and keep your
08:58stakeholders happy so for instance
09:00you've probably heard about companies
09:02deep in debt when they're trying to
09:04capture a portion of the market
09:06because they know that maybe 10 or 20
09:09they're going to be able to make
09:10billions of dollars if they're the one
09:13for a very long time for instance amazon
09:15was actually negative every single year
09:17they were running at a deficit but in
09:18the end it paid off because of the fact
09:20that they captured so much of the market
09:22that it didn't matter they probably had
09:24excellent financial management in order
09:26to run at a deficit and still keep the
09:28company going smoothly
09:29you also see a lot of other companies
09:31out there especially startups tech
09:32startups that are doing this as well
09:34although some of them don't do such a
09:35good job so there's gonna be about a
09:37hundred and eight thousand positions
09:38that pop up in the next ten years and
09:40you're going to make on average about
09:42000 a year now sometimes these positions
09:45will literally be working in the finance
09:47industry where they are financial
09:48managers and they're managing
09:50investments so in this case you would be
09:52a hedge fund or something along those
09:54lines and maybe you would be put in
09:55charge of a particular market so maybe
09:57you would be managing the technology
09:59side of the investing part of the hedge
10:02fund this is a notoriously difficult
10:04job with very long working hours but it
10:06can be kind of a high risk high reward
10:09in my video the careers that create the
10:10most millionaires finance managers were
10:12one of the top positions
10:14and when you looked into the data even a
10:15little bit further you found that people
10:18in the finance industry make up a lot of
10:2199.5th percentile and 99.9 percentile so
10:25again it's a high risk high reward type
10:27of career the finance
10:28industry in general has a lot of
10:30opportunity that's why people spend so
10:32ads on youtube number three on the list
10:34is going to be a general
10:35and operations manager so the general
10:37and operations manager is kind of
10:39responsible for making sure that the
10:41day-to-day tasks within an organization
10:44they're not really forward-looking or
10:46backward-looking they're more just in
10:48the moment making sure
10:49that everything is running smoothly
10:51you'll be overseeing the budget and
10:52you'll also be directing the use of
10:54resources within the company
10:56over the next 10 years there's going to
10:57be a 143 000 positions that open up and
11:00they're gonna make over a hundred
11:02thousand dollars a year
11:03so comparing this position to like a
11:05project management position for instance
11:07a project manager would be working on a
11:09particular project that has an
11:11end date and it has particular goals
11:13that are set operations manager is more
11:15about doing ongoing tasks things that
11:16you'll be doing into the foreseeable
11:18future on a day-to-day basis
11:20so for instance if you worked in the
11:21technology industry one of the
11:23operations that you would be responsible
11:25for would be making sure that the web
11:27servers stay up so an operations manager
11:29might identify a need to upgrade
11:31the web server and they would assign a
11:33project manager to take care of that
11:35they would tell them exactly when it
11:37needs to be done how long they have how
11:38much cash they have in order to do it
11:40and give them all the details
11:42and then they'd be like okay good luck
11:43so someone who really enjoys doing kind
11:45of repetitive day-to-day tasks and just
11:48stay on track might enjoy this type of
11:50job it might not be a very sexy job like
11:53a lot of the other ones that i mentioned
11:54but it's something that companies really
11:56need number two on the list is going to
11:58be one of my favorite careers in
11:59healthcare as well which is going to be
12:01registered nurses so this is going to be
12:03a nurse that basically has like a
12:05four-year degree sometimes you can get
12:07it in less than that but
12:08usually they are a registered nurse that
12:10has like a four-year degree i think
12:11everybody knows what nurses do they're
12:13basically the backbone of healthcare
12:15they might be the most
12:16important healthcare physician they do
12:18all the work and they also get blamed
12:19for everything within hospitals if you
12:21work in a hospital you know exactly what
12:24now in the next 10 years an astonishing
12:27221 000 positions are going to be opened
12:30up and on top of that nurses make around
12:33a year right now now i can tell you that
12:35you can make a lot more than that as a
12:37nurse the 73 000 is probably because of
12:39the fact that many of them work part
12:41i know many different nurses they get
12:43into the six figures relatively easily
12:45it really depends on your specialty and
12:47how much you want to work because
12:49always going to be you know openings for
12:51you to come in and work extra hours and
12:54that's one of the things about working
12:56in healthcare in general is pretty much
12:58everywhere is always understaffed it's
13:01it's kind of a horrible thing to be
13:03honest but at the same time it can be a
13:05good thing just because there's so much
13:06demand there's a lot of job security
13:08and if you want to work extra hours you
13:10can do that so doctors prescribe
13:12pharmacist dispense and nurses
13:14administer that's basically how it goes
13:17one great thing about working as a nurse
13:21you don't enjoy whatever specialty you
13:24it's very easy for you to actually
13:26switch specialties so let's say you're
13:28working as a geriatric nurse you know
13:29you're taking care of elderly people and
13:31you kind of get tired of that you
13:33you know it's not something that you're
13:34enjoying doing it gets a little bit
13:35repetitive maybe you're somebody who
13:37really likes kind of an adrenaline rush
13:39so you could go and work in the icu
13:41pretty much whatever personality you
13:42have there's going to be a nursing job
13:44that's going to fit that personality you
13:46kind of just have to try different
13:48number one on the list is going to be
13:52no surprise whatsoever here i've told
13:54you guys over and over again this is
13:55probably the biggest opportunity out of
13:58any type of career out there
13:59so a software developer very simply is
14:01going to be somebody who writes code
14:03for software over the next 10 years
14:05there's going to be an
14:06insane 316 000 positions that are
14:10and on top of that software developers
14:12already make really good money about 107
14:14000 a year now most software developers
14:17do have a bachelor's degree the one that
14:18would make the most sense to get would
14:21but because of the fact that there's so
14:23much demand you can actually get into
14:25software development with either a
14:26different degree that's unrelated
14:28sometimes like a math degree or a
14:30or sometimes you can even get into it
14:32without getting a degree at all just
14:34taking a boot camp and just showing
14:36people that you know what you're doing
14:37now this is an opportunity that might
14:39not last that long in my opinion
14:41i think as the market matures there's
14:43going to be more and more companies that
14:45want people that have bachelor's degrees
14:47that's just my opinion but if you want
14:49to take your chances and try to get into
14:50software development by taking a boot
14:52camp or something along those lines
14:54there are people that have been
14:55successful with that if you're an auto
14:57didact somebody who can teach yourself
14:59coding or if you're just really smart or
15:01maybe you're a child prodigy who already
15:03knows coding you've been doing it since
15:05that might be a better option for you if
15:07you haven't done it already make sure to
15:09gently tap the like button in order to
15:11defeat the evil youtube algorithm
15:13smash the subscribe button and ring the
15:14notification bell so that you
15:16never miss an opportunity and also
15:18comment down below any thoughts comments
15:19criticisms etc that you have on the
15:22and whatever you do make sure to not
15:24click out of this video check out my
15:26right here i made them just for you
