00:00the seven best business degrees of 2023
00:03today we are going to be talking about
00:05the best business majors and we're going
00:07to be talking about really important
00:08stuff like the salary the demand and
00:11some new things that I've added to this
00:13year's list that make it even better so
00:15if you appreciate videos like this let
00:16me know by grounding and pounding that
00:19like button like khabib and let's jump
00:21right into it alright so the rankings on
00:23this list are mostly going to be taken
00:24from my college degree ranker which
00:26usually people have to pay for but I'm
00:28going to be revealing them in this video
00:30and the number seven one on the list is
00:32going to be advertising on my college
00:34degree ranker the early career pay is 43
00:37700 a year the mid-career pay is 86 700
00:42that brings a salary score of 39 which
00:45is a little bit on the low side for
00:46business degrees however the number of
00:48jobs available are over 19
00:51000 which means the demand score is off
00:53the charts at 106. now when you look at
00:56the meaning score not so good
00:58unfortunately it's about 32 percent
00:59typically weekly business scores are a
01:01little bit lower on the meeting side and
01:03when you look at the total amount of
01:04people who graduate with this degree
01:05it's 4 300 per year now on Glassdoor it
01:08says entry-level advertising jobs make
01:10about seventy thousand dollars per year
01:12and when you type in advertising on
01:14LinkedIn and then you sort by
01:16entry-level jobs only you're going to
01:18see 96 000 results which is excellent so
01:21this is a skill that's very valuable and
01:23this is something that I've started
01:24doing which I think is much better and
01:27that is looking up entry-level jobs
01:29specifically because there are a lot of
01:31careers out there where there's a ton of
01:32demand but there's not a lot of demand
01:34at the entry level this is a huge
01:36problem with the way that corporations
01:38are set up and it's an even bigger
01:39problem with the onset of AI and
01:41automation a lot of the time those
01:43entry-level jobs are basically automated
01:45and so there are no entry-level jobs and
01:47this is why you see these ridiculous
01:49things like it's an entry-level job that
01:51requires two to five years of experience
01:52so I started using LinkedIn to look up
01:54the demand at the entry level as well
01:56and this is one that has a ton of demand
01:59number six on the list list is going to
02:00be international business with this one
02:03you can expect the early career pay to
02:05be about 50 000 a year mid-career pays
02:07ninety six thousand so that's a salary
02:09score of 53 which is decent however the
02:12number of jobs available is relatively
02:13low about 435 when you look them up on
02:16popular websites and that means the
02:18demand score is not that great at 49.
02:21and also if you look at the meaning it's
02:2239 percent and the total amount of
02:24people graduating every year is 5 600.
02:27if you look up international business on
02:29Glassdoor you're going to see ninety
02:31three thousand dollars a year for the
02:32salary and if you look up international
02:34business on LinkedIn at the entry level
02:37you're going to see 25
02:39000 jobs so this is one where you can
02:40make really good money the demand is
02:43there but you don't necessarily need an
02:45international business degree in order
02:47to work an international business so
02:49just keep that in mind if you want to go
02:51for this one number five on the list is
02:53going to be a marketing degree now when
02:55it comes to the numbers marketing
02:57degrees are actually relatively decent
02:59as especially compared to other business
03:01degrees the early career Pay Here is
03:03forty eight thousand dollars a year
03:04mid-career pays eighty nine thousand
03:06that means the salary score is 46 which
03:08is decent for business degrees however
03:10the demand score is absolutely off the
03:13charts at 146. I believe this is
03:16actually the highest demand score out of
03:18any degree out there the meaning is 39
03:20and there's 35 000 Bachelor graduates
03:23per year now if you type in marketing on
03:25Glassdoor you're going to see 79 000 a
03:27year and if you look up marketing on
03:29LinkedIn at the entry level there is a
03:33000 results now this is going to be
03:35controversial and it's also going to be
03:37a really hot take there is a massive
03:39amount of demand for people who have
03:40marketing skills I do not think colleges
03:42do a good job of teaching marketing but
03:45with that being said companies do hire
03:47people with marketing degrees because
03:49they need people in those positions now
03:51the most valuable skill of all by a mile
03:55in marketing is going to be digital
03:58marketing almost any other form of
04:00marketing it's incredibly difficult to
04:02track your money right if you put up a
04:03billboard or you do a radio ad or a TV
04:05ad you don't necessarily know if people
04:07are buying because of that app whereas
04:09with digital marketing you know exactly
04:11how much people are buying and you know
04:13exactly why they're buying it and
04:14unfortunately marketing curriculums do a
04:17terrible terrible job of teaching
04:20digital marketing and I have to be nice
04:21to them the reason for that is because
04:23digital marketing changes so rapidly
04:25five years ago Facebook ads were
04:28absolutely amazing now they're still
04:30pretty good but they're not nearly as
04:32good as they were and plus the way that
04:33you run Facebook ads is completely
04:35different so by far the best experience
04:38to get in digital marketing is actually
04:40working in digital marketing and my
04:42business partners and I have been
04:43helping people get jobs in digital
04:45marketing without a college degree and
04:47without any experience and if you want
04:49to check out a free masterclass to
04:51figure out exactly how we've been doing
04:52that I will put that down in the
04:53description as well as the penned
04:55comment number four on the list is going
04:57to be Supply Chain management
05:00super super underrated major with this
05:02one the early career pay is 58 000
05:04mid-career pay is 94 000. salary score
05:07is 61 so really good demand score is 105
05:10so very good as well meaning is 41 which
05:13is decent and there's 5 100 graduates
05:16per year on Glassdoor supply chain
05:18managers make about ninety three
05:19thousand dollars a year and if you type
05:21in Supply Chain management on LinkedIn
05:24you're gonna see 85 000 results at the
05:26entry level which is phenomenal so tons
05:29of demand for this one it's not the
05:31sexiest thing to do I know like you
05:33don't get excited about working on
05:35Supply chains at least most people
05:36probably don't but super super valuable
05:38skill to know number three on the list
05:40is going to be a finance degree early
05:43career Pay Here is 55 000 a year
05:45mid-career pays ninety eight thousand
05:47salary score is 60 number of jobs
05:49available is 95 000 with a ridiculous
05:52demand score of 133 meaning is 40
05:55percent and Bachelor grads per year is
05:5837 000. you type in 5 Finance on
06:00Glassdoor you're going to see they make
06:02about ninety six thousand dollars a year
06:04and if you type in Finance on LinkedIn
06:06at the entry level you're going to see
06:09000 results so a lot of different jobs
06:11you can go into of course in finance I
06:13will say one thing about it and I've
06:15mentioned this before on the channel
06:16Finance is better if you're more of like
06:18a competitive A type personality because
06:21there's some really really good
06:23lucrative jobs that you can get but if
06:25you're not that type of Personality a
06:26lot of the time it might be better to do
06:28a different degree like the next one on
06:30the list for instance which is
06:31accounting early career pay for
06:33accounting is going to be 51 000.
06:35mid-career pay is eighty eight thousand
06:37salary score is 48 number of jobs
06:40available 77 000 with a ridiculous
06:42demand score of 127 meaning is 41 and
06:46there are 50 000 Bachelor grads per year
06:49if you look up accounting on Glassdoor
06:51you're going to see they make about 55
06:53000 a year and if you look up accounting
06:55at the entry level on LinkedIn you're
06:58000 results so yeah accounting is a
07:01super super stable career and degree to
07:04get so many different things you can do
07:05with accounting as well it's a lot more
07:08flexible than a finance degree is you
07:10can also go into chill jobs or if you
07:12want to push yourself you can go into
07:13more like high pressure jobs and make a
07:15lot of money there there's a lot of
07:16examples of accountants who end up
07:18becoming Executives and big businesses
07:20so yeah really really solid degree
07:22number one on the list one of my
07:24absolute favorite degrees is going to be
07:26management information systems and this
07:29is a degree that combines business
07:30skills with technology skills early
07:33career pay is sixty thousand mid-career
07:35pays 105 000 salary score is a very
07:39healthy 70 number of jobs available is
07:4139 000 demand score is 113 meaning is 42
07:46which is pretty decent for a business
07:47degree and the bachelor grads per year
07:49is 7 800. if you type in management
07:52information systems on Glassdoor the
07:55salary it shows is 96 000 and if you
07:57type that in on LinkedIn you're gonna
07:59see 40 8 000 results at the entry level
08:02so seven thousand grads per year 48 000
08:05results at the entry level you can do
08:06the math there management information is
08:08phenomenal and it is my favorite
08:10Business Degree by far like I mentioned
08:12before digital marketing a phenomenal
08:14skill set my business partner Seth and I
08:16have been getting people jobs left and
08:17right check out this video right here of
08:19James who was a 16 year old who was able
08:22to get a forty thousand dollar a year
