00:08us got really excited when he was

00:09running as a green because we knew that

00:12you guys did have experience running

00:14presidential campaigns and then there's

00:15also the ballot access uh perspective to

00:18that as well and then uh as we all know

00:21um you were also the one that

00:24recommended uh Peter DAL to to work with

00:27Cornell West campaign ultimately though

00:29the decision did come down to Dr West

00:31like deciding whether or not to hire

00:35Dr West decided to leave the green party

00:39you about that both of you came on to

00:56campaign some people are now wondering

00:58if your decision to choose Peter da to

01:06effort to sabotage the pan the campaign

01:11things that have that have come my way

01:15get your your take on that because the

01:18way that the events have unfolded it

01:20does give people some people that

01:22perspective that well maybe this was

01:25just to sabotage Dr West I want to hear

01:34introduced uh Peter da who's a friend uh

01:38and has been a friend and collaborator

01:41for years with many people in the green

01:43party um and I introduced him to Dr West

01:48and his team very early in the campaign

01:53manager but I felt like we couldn't

01:56leave Dr West without a team we had

01:59persuaded him to come on board and now

07:12and Dr Jill Stein is one of those Dr uh

07:15Cornell West is one of those they have a

07:18blind spot and their blind spot and in

07:21in the case with Jill Stein her blind

07:23spot or in the blind spot this blind

07:26particular

07:28um people with accolades people whose

07:34um people who have gone through the

07:37schooling to get the

07:40accolades view accolades at a higher

07:43level than the average

07:45person and they view those accolades

07:49above a person who's seen as a traitor

07:54da so in that case a a working if it was

07:58a working class person in the decision

10:29these are his position not somebody

10:30who's just going to sit and write it now

10:32he's represented these things for all

10:34his life so every campaign including

10:37this one starts from a konel and that

10:40values everything else is structured

10:42around them you start building out the

10:43team you build a volunteer operation to

10:45be able to connect with people who want

10:47to help thousands of people have signed

10:55the support they need to go out and

10:56spread the word ac across the country so
