00:46for fuel fat is not the ideal fuel

01:36so when people say you want to learn you
01:39know to burn fat as fuel they usually
01:41specifically refer to really intense
01:43exercise and that's just not a great
01:47can you learn to do it yes your body
01:49actually does get a little bit better
01:50burning faster fuel even in high
01:52intensity exercise if you expose it to
01:54uh you know whatever protein kept equal
01:56higher fat lower carb diet especially if
01:58it's almost zero carbs yes absolutely
02:00your body gets better at it but the
02:02analogy there is like you absolutely can
02:05redesign a race car modify a race car to
02:08burn like 87 gasoline normal ass
02:11gasoline or petrol if you're from the
02:13rest of the world uh
02:15and it will run with regular gasoline
02:18and it won't Gunk up the engine
02:21but it'll run shittier because racing
02:23fuel is better because it's optimized to
02:26make you go faster that's why the fuck
02:28it's racing fuel so if you're eating
02:30lots of fats and very low carbs to try
02:32to get your body to get really good at
02:33Burning fats for fuel you are
02:35redesigning your race car to burn
02:36regular gasoline and losing races all
02:42what if we're talking about fat loss
02:46it turns out that if you reduce any
02:48kinds of calories you burn about the
02:51same amount of total calories off
02:53and unless you're reducing protein don't
02:55do that that's stupid so whether you're
02:58you are burning almost exclusively body
03:01fat if you weight train and have a
03:04decent lock-in on your diet multiple
03:07high protein feedings per day regular
03:09weight training a calorie deficit of
03:10either carbs or fats Burns predominantly
03:12fats plain and simple and you don't have
03:15to eat exclusively fats it does not
03:17enhance your ability to burn fat
03:19and another thing is your body is a fat
03:23burning machine and exercise cool but
03:25exercise burns a very small fraction of
03:27your total calories per day and gets you
03:28not so lean most of your calories per
03:31day are burned in just normal activities
03:32and a huge fraction during sleep
03:35you're not even exercising then so you
03:37don't have to turn into a fat burning
03:38machine you just have to create a small
03:40daily deficit keep your physical
03:41activity in check eat plenty of protein
03:44lift weights and it doesn't really
03:46matter if most the rest of your calories
03:47come from Mostly carbs mostly fats or
03:49anywhere in between you burn pretty much
03:51the same amount of fat and get the same
03:53level of lean period except if you do it
03:55with more carbs and fewer fats you
03:57generally tend to keep more of your
03:58muscle on your body have better training
04:00and feel better for most people some
04:01people love low carb diet no judgment
04:03but a certainly very difficult to say
04:06listen go low carb teach your body to
04:09burn fat you'll have better results
04:10because you straight up won't in most
04:13so yes you can adapt to burn fat easier
04:19but that's not a net positive adaptation
04:23unless you regularly have to compete on
04:29which is nonsense because in competition
04:31they let you bring any kind of food you
04:33want with you if you want on a bike for
04:35example or an ultra run
04:37and at the end of the day eating low
04:40carb as a high performer when you have
04:43access to carbs and could be an even
04:48it's got the video that I can read it

04:56the gym and lift weights nine nine and
