00:00so you may have heard of something
00:01called faceless YouTube channels which
00:03are essentially channels that you can
00:04run without ever stepping in front of a
00:06camera or showing your face my name is
00:08Matt par and I personally run over 12 of
00:11these different channels this channel
00:12you're watching right here is just one
00:14of my channels but most of them I don't
00:16ever even step in front of a camera or
00:18show my face and the first step in
00:20making money on YouTube with these
00:22YouTube automation channels is to choose
00:24a niche which is essentially just a
00:27category of content to upload in and by
00:29choosing a niche you grow a targeted
00:30audience that'll be more engaged with
00:32your videos and then all of your videos
00:34can feed each other which can result in
00:36a lot of growth and potentially a lot of
00:38money for you as well once you get
00:40monetized and now there are hundreds of
00:42different niches to choose from so it
00:44can be incredibly difficult especially
00:45in the beginning a lot of people get
00:47stuck on the step of choosing a niche
00:49but the reason I'm making this video is
00:51to save people from choosing the wrong
00:54Niche and if you're out there you're
00:55looking for what Niche you do or you're
00:56even just thinking about starting
00:58another faceless channel to add add to
01:00whatever business you have then I just
01:02want to make sure that you avoid a few
01:04different niches at all costs and that's
01:06what we're going to be going over in
01:07today's video we're going to be going
01:08over eight YouTube automation niches you
01:10should avoid at all costs and Niche
01:13number one that you should avoid at all
01:14costs is compilation videos now these
01:17are videos where you just basically
01:19download a bunch of videos put them
01:20together into a compilation and
01:22re-upload to YouTube and you might be
01:24saying Matt what's wrong with that well
01:25there's a few things that are wrong with
01:26that that could potentially stop you
01:28from even making money doing this in the
01:30first place and that's because
01:31compilations are not what I would
01:33consider to be transformative and
01:35they're not what I would consider to be
01:37fair use essentially fair use on YouTube
01:40is a legal doctrine that potentially
01:42allows creators to reuse content from
01:44YouTube if they make it different in
01:47nature from the original and if they add
01:49significant commentary on top of it now
01:51I'm not any lawyer or anything that's
01:53just my best understanding of this but
01:55the problem with compilation videos is
01:57that you're not making a transformative
01:58you're not doing a voice over over or
02:00any of those things and unfortunately a
02:02lot of times compilation videos can get
02:04copyright claimed by the original people
02:06who own the rights to the footage and
02:08not only that YouTube actually doesn't
02:10even monetize a lot of compilation
02:12videos and you've probably seen tons of
02:14these compilation videos out there
02:15whether they're animal compilations or
02:17whether they're just Tik Tok
02:18compilations re-uploaded on YouTube you
02:21might be saying Matt but they're getting
02:22millions of views and that's all fine
02:23and well but don't you want to make
02:25money from your channel as well and if
02:27that's the case I highly suggest staying
02:29away from compilation videos and even if
02:31you do get monetized with a compilation
02:33channel it's very likely that that's
02:35going to be shortlived and I want you to
02:36build a real long-term business with
02:38YouTube and the way you do that is by
02:40following fair use now there is a way of
02:42doing compilation videos correctly where
02:44you don't have to worry about copyright
02:46or anything like that and that is by
02:48getting permission from the respective
02:50owners of the clips to use in
02:51compilations for example channels like
02:54daily dose of Internet do this as well
02:56as many others and essentially they not
02:58only reach out to people asking for
03:00permission to use their Clips but also
03:02people at this point submit their Clips
03:04to these channels in order to promote
03:06them essentially and also you can make
03:08compilations of your own videos like for
03:10example I've done a bunch of videos
03:12talking about how to get monetized on
03:14YouTube and they're all teaching
03:15individual parts of the process of
03:17getting monetized but then eventually I
03:19just combine them all into a Mega
03:20tutorial about how to get monetized on
03:22YouTube so it's different than any one
03:23of those individual clips and it's
03:25content that I already own so I have the
03:27right to do that Niche number two to
03:29avoid on YouTube for faceless channels
03:32is meditation or relaxation videos now
03:36this one may be a bit confusing to a lot
03:38of people granted that I recently
03:40uploaded a video called how to make
03:42money on YouTube with simple meditation
03:45videos so you might be asking Matt why
03:46are you saying that's bad now and the
03:48reason is that most people do meditation
03:50videos the absolute wrong way for
03:53example a lot of people simply download
03:55some music from the YouTube audio
03:56library put it on some royaltyfree video
03:59that they get from somewhere like
04:00pixabay.com re-uploaded to YouTube and
04:02they call that a meditation or
04:04relaxation sleep music or something of
04:06that effect and the problem with that is
04:08it's not original enough for YouTube to
04:10always like that type of content so a
04:13lot of these channels first of all never
04:15end up getting monetized in the first
04:16place or they end up getting demonetized
04:19and I want you guys to make real
04:20long-term money with YouTube so if
04:22you're going to do meditation or
04:23relaxation videos make sure you do it
04:26the right way and it's really simple to
04:28do that just do a human voice over
04:30saying a guided meditation or
04:32affirmations throughout the video or if
04:35you're just doing instrumentals or music
04:37make sure that you either paid someone
04:39to make that for you from somewhere like
04:41upwork or Fiverr meaning you own the
04:43rights to that or you make it yourself
04:46and there's tons of meditation and
04:47relaxation channels getting millions of
04:49views making tons of money but you just
04:51need to make sure that you're doing it
04:53the right way and I have a video like I
04:54mentioned that I recently did talking
04:56about how to do meditation videos the
04:58right way so feel free to to check that
04:59out if you want I'll link it in the
05:01description for you as well Niche number
05:03three to avoid is motivational content
05:07so you've probably seen motivational
05:08videos out there where it's simply some
05:10motivational speech from some famous
05:12motivational person and these can get a
05:14lot of views but the problem with them
05:16is that same fair use problem that we
05:18were talking about earlier a lot of
05:19times these types of videos aren't
05:21considered fair use since you're simply
05:23reusing clips from somebody else doing a
05:25motivational video and putting that in
05:27the background of like stock content or
05:28something like that it's not
05:29transformative enough at least in my
05:31opinion for that to be a safe bed for
05:33you and the way to do motivation videos
05:35correctly and to actually potentially
05:37make money longterm doing this is to put
05:40things in your own words and to run
05:41Channels with an original voice over on
05:43it channels like brainy do are a
05:46brilliant example of this Niche number
05:48four to avoid for faceless YouTube
05:49content is kids channels now you might
05:51be saying Matt what's the problem with
05:52kids channels they get tons of views on
05:54YouTube what could possibly be the
05:56problem with that well unfortunately
05:58with kids channels they make a very
06:01small amount per thousand views and
06:03that's due to the fact that YouTube has
06:05implemented something called coopa which
06:07essentially stands for the child online
06:09privacy protection act and what this
06:12basically States from my personal
06:14understanding is that advertisers can't
06:16put targeted ads to kids so therefore
06:19cpms or how much money you make per
06:21thousand views will be drastically lower
06:23than content that's aimed at older
06:25audiences so kids to my understanding
06:27are defined by people who are 13 years
06:29or younger so when you upload your
06:31content you have to check a box that
06:33says is this content made for kids or
06:35not and basically you just check yes or
06:37no if that was the intention of what the
06:39content was for you can't really get
06:41around this cuz if you put the wrong
06:42label on the content YouTube will figure
06:44it out eventually they have people who
06:46review videos and everything so it's
06:48best to play it safe and while you can
06:50make money with kids content it's just
06:52not going to be nearly as much as you
06:54could with other types of content which
06:56is why I actually do not recommend doing
06:58it under any circumstances really unless
07:01this was just your number one passion
07:02making this type of content and to
07:05demonstrate this I had somebody within
07:06my tube Mastery Community I run a course
07:08we have over like 10,000 people within
07:10this private Community who've paid for
07:12access to it and this one guy his name
07:13was Pete he ran a kids channel that was
07:15quite big he got hundreds of millions of
07:17total views on that channel and he was
07:19getting Millions upon millions of views
07:21per month but he shared in the group how
07:23much he was making from that it was only
07:25a couple hundred per month and if you're
07:28going to be getting that amount of use
07:29you could potentially be making way more
07:31than a full-time income with other types
07:34of content so that's why I at least
07:36suggest steering clear from it if you
07:38can and I just think that there's so
07:39many better niches out there Niche
07:41number five to avoid on YouTube for
07:43faceless Niche channels is non-
07:46Advertiser safe content and this might
07:48seem broad but it's really simple once
07:50you understand what advertisers want to
07:52put their ads on and what they don't
07:54want to put their ads on and once I
07:55explain this this will make perfect
07:56sense so essentially what advertisers
07:58are giving the option when they put ads
08:00on YouTube videos is they can choose
08:02whether they want their ads on something
08:04called The Limited inventory which is
08:06standard or the expanded inventory which
08:09you have to actually go in into all
08:11these little settings and choose that
08:13individual setting and most people and
08:15most advertisers they don't do that
08:17extra work they just put it on the
08:18limited inventory and this is what
08:20essentially that means and this is the
08:22difference between them the expanded
08:24inventory are videos on YouTube that
08:26could potentially include swearing or
08:28things that advertisers typically
08:30wouldn't deem to be safe content so like
08:32I said swearing and then there's a list
08:34of a bunch of others as well whereas The
08:35Limited inventory is where you as a
08:38content creator you want your content
08:40going into that category because the
08:42majority of advertisers will put ads on
08:45that content you'll make a lot more
08:47money as a result and so really to make
08:49this as clear as possible just to give
08:50you a quick checklist of what to avoid
08:52on your content for non- Advertiser safe
08:54content make sure you don't do swearing
08:56in your videos make sure there's no
08:57violence or other things just ask
08:59yourself from the perspective of a brand
09:01putting an ad on this like would I want
09:03to put an ad on this type of content if
09:05the answer is no I personally would
09:06steer clear from it now feel free to do
09:08what you want to do feel free to swear
09:09in your videos if you want to but from
09:11the perspective of making as much money
09:12as you possibly can it's simply not a
09:15good idea Niche number six to avoid is
09:18AI content now you might be saying Matt
09:20AI has gotten really good over the past
09:22few years why couldn't I use like robot
09:24voices or anything like that or any of
09:26these AI video generation tools that are
09:28out there and the reasoning for that is
09:31due to the fact that not all of these
09:33tools are that good so for example
09:35there's a lot of robot voiceover tools
09:37out there that just don't sound that
09:39great and if you do content like that
09:41I've had a lot of students not be able
09:42to get monetized with that that being
09:44said there are great text to speech
09:46voiceover platforms out there like 11
09:48labs for example which is something that
09:50I could actually get behind since it
09:51sounds pretty much indistinguishable
09:53from a human doing it also things like
09:56deep fake videos where you use someone
09:57else's likeness or video or audio of
10:00them and you basically transfer it into
10:01another video and these are becoming
10:03more and more prominent on YouTube these
10:05types of videos may get you in trouble
10:07on YouTube because YouTube is now
10:08talking about how they're implementing a
10:10process where when you upload videos you
10:12have to specify whether that video is
10:14using someone else's likeness or not so
10:16they can put a disclaimer on it and the
10:17person that you're using likeness of
10:19could request that video to be taken
10:21down as well so in my opinion it's best
10:23just to steer clear from that unless
10:24you're doing it obviously for like
10:25parody purposes and you have the
10:27person's permission because I saw some
10:28AR where YouTube was talking about if
10:30it's for one of those things they could
10:32reconsider it Niche number seven to
10:34avoid on YouTube for automation channels
10:37is music and or lyric videos so this
10:40one's pretty self-explanatory If You
10:41re-upload music on YouTube it'll
10:44probably get flagged under YouTube's
10:45copyright system and you probably won't
10:47be able to make any money from it and
10:49the way it works is that if the video is
10:50claimed that money will then go to the
10:52person who claimed the video in a lot of
10:54circumstances in this case the owner of
10:56the music and this applies to lyric YC
10:59videos this applies to any type of video
11:02that you have copyrighted music without
11:03permission in the video so if you ever
11:05do use music in your video obviously
11:07looking into places like the YouTube
11:09audio library which have tons of free
11:11music to use and also if you run a music
11:13specific Channel make sure that either
11:16you made that music yourself or you're
11:18paying someone from somewhere like
11:19upwork to make the music for you and you
11:21have the full rights to do that and
11:23Niche number eight to avoid is gaming
11:26content now at this point you might be
11:27saying Matt what I see tons of gaming
11:30content get millions upon millions of
11:31views on YouTube why would you not
11:33suggest doing that and taking advantage
11:35of that well the thing is that the Space
11:37is really crowded at this point and I
11:38see so many gaming channels pop up like
11:41just thousands of them on individual
11:43games and unless you're doing something
11:44to stand out or be unique from that type
11:47of content I just think there's better
11:49niches out there now that's not to say
11:51there's not going to be new gaming
11:52channels that pop off there always is
11:54but you'll notice they're typically
11:56doing something different there's
11:57typically a reason they're getting that
11:59attention or they're just super valuable
12:01and they're doing unique walkthroughs of
12:02content or something like that if you
12:04can find a way of doing that more power
12:06to you in fact we recently did a video
12:07about exactly how to start a gaming
12:09channel the right way feel free to check
12:11that out I'll also link it in the
12:12description for you if you're at all
12:14interested in that type of content cuz
12:15you can do gaming content but you just
12:17need to make sure that you do it the
12:18right way plus there's not a ton of
12:20money in like affiliate marketing within
12:21this Niche and some games require you to
12:23have permission from the actual game
12:25developer in order to play them on
12:27YouTube so always make sure to search if
12:29a game is copyrighted and make sure that
12:31you can upload it to YouTube and you
12:32have full permission of doing that and
12:34most games now have like privacy
12:36policies and terms and conditions that
12:37you can read and then just search for
12:39YouTube videos on that now this video is
12:41not to say that there is not potential
12:43in a lot of these niches there's
12:44certainly is but if you want to have the
12:46potential of making a lot of money with
12:48faceless YouTube channels I hope this
12:50helps you kind of steer in the right
12:51direction for that and now at this point
12:53you might be saying Matt what is the
12:55right direction where should I be
12:57putting my time and attention into to in
12:59terms of the type of content I upload
13:01and which niches should I choose and
13:03that is a fantastic question and some of
13:05the best niches on YouTube in my opinion
13:07are related to finance Fitness and diet
13:11technology travel and then I go over 30
13:13more of the best faceless nichas on
13:15YouTube in this video right here so if
13:17you want to see all those nichas check
13:19it out right here you'll get a ton of
13:20value from it my name is Matt par thanks
13:22for watching and I'll see you there
