00:21 on the morning of June 17 2021 the good
00:25 people of Minneapolis Minnesota awoke to
00:28 a series of grisly discoveries
00:31 scattered across the northeastern
00:33 neighborhood of Saint Anthony West where
00:35 a number of partially staffed trash bags
00:39 they were found on sidewalks on front
00:41 lawns in driveways and on park benches
00:44 and they quickly became the subject of
00:46 equal parts irritation and curiosity
00:50 one by one calls began to trickle into
00:52 the city's emergency dispatchers as
00:55 concerned citizens started to
00:56 investigate the trash bags and uncover
01:01 to the horror of the Curious they
01:03 discovered that each of the bags
01:05 contained The Butcher pieces of a human
01:09 within the hour Minneapolis Emergency
01:11 Services received another Grim phone
01:15 a member of the public reported that
01:17 pieces of a human leg had been scattered
01:19 outside the City's ukrainian-american
01:24 it became quite clear that whoever was
01:26 responsible wanted all of these pieces
01:30 and yet as the day went home it also
01:32 became evident that one significant part
01:34 of the body was missing
01:39 less than a week later as the
01:42 Minneapolis Police Department continued
01:44 to puzzle over the victim's identity an
01:46 early morning jogger made yet another
01:48 horrifying discovery
01:50 just before 6 45 AM The Jogger was
01:53 making their way down a paved trail on
01:55 the bank of the Mississippi River when
01:57 they spotted something resting on a park
02:01 at a distance it wasn't clear what the
02:05 but upon closer inspection they realized
02:08 that it was a frozen human head
02:11 one with the letters p e r v carved into
02:18 the cold flesh of its forehead
02:21 a clear message if ever there was one
02:24 forensic investigators quickly
02:26 determined that the head was the missing
02:28 piece of the dismembered body found
02:30 scattered throughout Saint Anthony West
02:32 and that prior to being left on the
02:34 bench had been kept in a freezer
02:38 with facial and dental recognition now
02:40 available law enforcement discovered
02:42 that the victim was a 36 year old man
02:48 Adam was unemployed had a history of
02:51 mental illness and substance abuse and
02:53 was of no fixed address at the time he
02:56 he was clearly a troubled man but saying
02:59 that he was well liked in the community
03:01 and seemed determined to better himself
03:04 Adam had apparently tried to check into
03:06 a Wellness Center just a few days before
03:08 his untimely end and toxicology reports
03:11 showed that he was clean at the time his
03:15 it seems he was denied a place at
03:17 whatever rehab centers he applied for
03:18 most likely due to overcrowding
03:22 by October 2021 the investigation into
03:25 Adam's slaying had so badly stagnated
03:27 that the mini Annapolis Police
03:29 Department sought the assistance of the
03:32 investigators worked silently paying no
03:35 Credence to the rumors that swirled in
03:37 the local newspapers
03:38 rumors of organized crime being involved
03:42 despite their best efforts FBI agents
03:45 seem to make a little progress in
03:46 unmasking the man responsible
03:49 but although the identity of the killer
03:51 Still Remains a mystery to this very day
03:53 Adam's past history may well reveal a
03:56 clue as to their motive
03:59 in 2008 Adam was convicted of quote
04:03 malicious punishment of a child
04:07 Minnesota law defines that as cruel
04:09 excessive discipline inflicted Upon A
04:11 minor and those found guilty can expect
04:13 up to 10 years imprisonment and a fine
04:15 of twenty thousand dollars
04:18 that sounds deplorable and it certainly
04:20 is but it's important to note that the
04:22 crimes restricted to acts of corporal
04:24 punishment and is distinct from any
04:26 other type of Nefarious activity
04:30 however it's possible that some
04:32 overzealous vigilante mistook what
04:34 malicious punishment means and believing
04:37 that Adam had actually done something
04:38 worse to a kid decided to deal out some
04:41 Capital Justice with a capital p e r v
04:49 another is that this was all a case of
04:54 you see another man who also happened to
04:56 be named Adam Johnson was born in the
04:59 English Port City of Sunderland on July
05:02 14 1987 making him roughly the same age
05:05 as his American counterpart
05:07 the two men also shared a passing
05:11 and much like Adam from Minnesota Adam
05:13 from the UK also had a run-in with the
05:15 law involving the treatment of children
05:18 only instead of just giving them a hard
05:20 slap UK Adam had engaged in Far More
05:23 Sinister activities
05:25 at the time this UK Adam was a fairly
05:28 successful Pro footballer whose career
05:30 was going from strength to strength
05:33 after Spells at Middlesbrough and
05:35 Manchester City British Adam signed for
05:37 his Boyhood Club Sunderland AFC for a
05:40 fee of 10 million pounds
05:43 in December of 2014 UK Adam began a
05:46 series of online Communications with a
05:48 15 year old female fan
05:51 a month later he arranged to meet up
05:53 with her in a secluded car park
05:55 Adam gave the goal to sign football
05:57 jerseys and the pair parted without any
06:01 to any observers the interaction might
06:03 have appeared odd but maybe innocent
06:07 in reality this meeting served as a dry
06:10 run for a second rendezvous
06:12 one where Adam would unveiled far more
06:14 unsavory intentions
06:16 just under two weeks after their initial
06:18 meeting UK Adam and the girl met yet
06:21 again in the same secluded spot
06:23 it was then that he coerced the girl
06:25 into performing some deeply
06:27 inappropriate intimate tanks
06:29 a month later he was arrested by Durham
06:32 Police and was officially charged on
06:36 at his trial he pled guilty and was
06:39 sentenced to six years behind bars
06:42 a light sentence but it gets worse
06:45 he was actually released in March of
06:47 2019 after completing just half of that
06:51 although they left almost 4 000 miles
06:53 apart someone may have met Minnesota and
06:56 Adam Johnson quickly Google searched his
06:58 name saw the news headlines along with
07:00 the photos that resembled him
07:02 blinded by a desire for real Justice
07:04 they took us to life and butchered him
07:06 before exhibiting their handiwork to his
07:09 widen audience as possible
07:11 that might sound far-fetched but as
07:13 we've come to here on this channel far
07:15 stranger things have happened
07:17 then again perhaps Minnesota Adam had
07:20 simply messed up with the wrong person
07:24 as mentioned he suffered from mental
07:26 illness and had been in and out of jail
07:28 for numerous issues related to it
07:31 for instance he had been arrested for
07:33 hurling feces at Transit workers during
07:36 a psychological episode
07:38 he had battled with his issues for a
07:40 long time and have been working hard to
07:43 in the words of his former partner Jojo
07:47 when he's doing fantastic and doing
07:48 great he's a wonderful person
07:51 and when he struggles he really
07:55 it does send has ended up in trouble
07:59 with that in mind could Adam have ended
08:01 up in trouble with a truly Disturbed
08:05 the type of person capable of slicing a
08:07 man into pieces and scattering him
08:11 the type of person willing to store
08:13 their victim's head in their freezer for
08:19 speculation aside the fact remains that
08:21 we'll never truly know what happened to
08:23 Minnesotan Adam until whoever took his
08:26 enter present the state of the
08:28 investigation is far from promising
08:31 his family have complained that the
08:33 Minneapolis Police Department have shown
08:35 little interest in binding his killer
08:37 and that a lack of coordination between
08:39 state and federal authorities has
08:41 resulted in a complete collapse of the
08:45 all they have left is unanswered
08:48 I drive myself crazy thinking about how
08:51 it happened said Jojo
08:52 but that's something that I have to
08:54 think about because this is our reality
08:57 this was somebody who knew him
08:59 they knew what they were doing and they
09:04 it's chilling to hear someone speak of
09:06 Adam's death in such a way especially
09:08 someone so close to him
09:10 Adam's past history is a matter of
09:12 public record anyone can look it up and
09:15 it's almost certain that his Slayer did
09:18 after all what else could have motivated
09:21 them to carve the letters p e r b into
09:26 ahead which they then displayed on a
09:28 public bench as if they were proud of
09:31 as if they had done Society a service
09:45 7th 1995 the hopes and dreams of the
09:48 hometown TV anchor mysteriously faded to
09:51 Black then that's more tragic there's a
09:52 lot to think about here yeah
09:59 Jody who's intrude was born on June 5th
10:01 1968 in the small town of Long Prairie
10:04 Minnesota the youngest daughter of
10:07 Maurice and Imogen who's intrude
10:10 in high school Jody was an excellent
10:12 golfer winning back-to-back state
10:14 tournaments in 1985 and 1986.
10:18 following her graduation she went on to
10:20 study mass communications and speech
10:22 communication at Minnesota's Saint Cloud
10:26 after securing her degree Jody briefly
10:29 worked for Northwest Airlines but soon
10:31 began a broadcasting career with a CBS
10:33 affiliate in Cedar Rapids Iowa
10:36 after a brief spell as the station's
10:38 bureau chief Judy began working for
10:40 Mason City's CBS affiliate and by June
10:43 of 1995 she was happy successful and
10:46 while on her way to bigger and better
10:50 yet shortly after a golf tournament in
10:53 late June of 1995 Jody seemed to drop
10:56 off the face of the Earth
10:58 and what followed has resulted in a deep
11:00 and enduring mystery
11:04 Jody was expected to arrive at work
11:06 around 4am on Tuesday June 27th but
11:10 after she failed to show up producer Amy
11:12 Coons decided to call her at home
11:16 after an extended ring Jody picked up
11:18 the phone and apologized to Amy before
11:20 explaining that she had simply overslept
11:23 before hanging up Jody assured her
11:26 producer that she was just about to
11:27 leave home and that she'd arrive at the
11:29 TV station as soon as possible for her 6
11:33 when Amy had to film for Jody's 6 a.m
11:35 morning show people began to worry
11:38 and when 7am came and went staff at kimt
11:41 contacted the Mason City police
11:43 department and asked them to check up on
11:46 when a pair of police officers arrived
11:48 at Jody's apartment building they found
11:50 that her Red Master Miata was still in
11:54 on the ground next to her car were some
11:56 of Jody's personal effects including her
11:59 purse some makeup one of her red high
12:02 heels her hairdryer and her car key
12:05 there was evidence that some kind of
12:07 struggle had occurred such as a drag
12:09 Mark near her vehicle
12:11 the thick steel of Jody's car key had
12:15 that not only suggested that someone had
12:17 rushed her while she was opening or
12:19 starting her car but that her attacker
12:21 was extremely strong
12:24 an unidentified palm print present on
12:26 Jody's car was believed to belong to
12:28 whoever that individual was
12:31 detectives questioned Jody's neighbors
12:33 regarding her disappearance
12:36 three of them reported hearing screams
12:38 coming from the car park around the time
12:39 that Jody went missing but none of them
12:41 bothered to call the authorities
12:44 another neighbor recalled seeing a
12:46 suspicious white ban in the building's
12:47 parking lot shortly before Jody vanished
12:50 with its lights on and its engine
12:53 sadly this vehicle has never been
12:58 Jody's co-workers suggested that an
13:00 obsessed van may have been responsible
13:04 nine months prior Jody confided in them
13:06 that a black van had been following her
13:08 while she was out jogging
13:11 a pattern of false leads and dead ends
13:13 repeated itself throughout the
13:15 investigation until finally the
13:17 authorities announced that they were
13:18 diverting resources away from Jody's
13:22 frustrated by that announcement her
13:24 family opted to hire a private
13:26 investigation team in September of 1995.
13:30 they Enlisted the services of the
13:32 nationally renowned McCarthy and
13:33 Associates Investigation Services who
13:36 flew Jody's Family out to Los Angeles to
13:38 meet with three prominent psychics
13:41 this meeting was filmed in front of a
13:43 live studio audience and served as the
13:45 pilot for a TV show titled psychic
13:49 unsurprisingly none of the so-called
13:52 psychics helped Advance the
13:55 as such Jody's parents commissioned a
13:57 large-scale intensive search of Cerro
14:00 Gordo county in May of 1996. one which
14:03 involved over a hundred search and
14:07 the teams worked hard to uncover Clues
14:09 making use of Cutting Edge tracking and
14:12 surveillance techniques
14:14 sadly no promising evidence was
14:18 in June of 2008 13 years after she had
14:22 gone missing photocopies of the 84 pages
14:25 of Jody's personal Journal were
14:27 anonymously mailed to a local newspaper
14:30 the original Journal had been in the
14:32 possession of law enforcement since the
14:34 investigation began so obviously someone
14:36 within the police department had leaked
14:40 within days they discovered that the
14:42 sender was the wife of the former Mason
14:44 City police chief who had taken a copy
14:47 of the journal home when he left office
14:50 police gave no motive as to why the
14:52 woman had mailed photocopies of the
14:53 journal to the newspaper and she has
14:55 since declined to State her reasons
14:58 we can only speculate as to whether the
15:00 journal contained any significant
15:02 information which he wanted revealed to
15:03 the public or if she simply wanted to
15:06 revive the investigation
15:19 what do we know about John Van Sykes in
15:22 1994 he was divorced after the divorce
15:25 John moved to Mason City his address was
15:27 the key Apartments he and Jody were
15:29 neighbors became good friends I think
15:31 she was spending more time with with
15:33 John than she was with really anyone
15:38 in March of 2017 a search warrant was
15:40 brought against a man named John Van
15:42 sais who was apparently the last person
15:47 he'd visited her apartment the night
15:49 before she disappeared when the pair
15:51 reportedly watched a videotape of Jody's
15:53 27th birthday party together
15:56 Jody and John were close with John
15:58 himself stating quote Jody was like a
16:03 she was just like my own child
16:06 some theorize that John may have stayed
16:08 the night at Jody's hence why she was
16:10 running late for work the day she went
16:13 police later seized GPS devices from two
16:16 of John's vehicles but have remained
16:18 tight-lipped ever since
16:21 another person of interest in the case
16:23 is Tony Jackson a convicted who was
16:27 living just two blocks away from Jody's
16:29 workplace when she vanished
16:31 a former cellmate of his would later
16:33 state that Tony had written rap lyrics
16:35 indicating he was the culprit and that
16:37 Jody was buried near a bomb Silo in
16:42 that being said no forensic evidence has
16:45 ever linked Tony Jackson to the case
16:48 it's been 27 years since that fateful
16:51 day in 1995 meaning that Jody husandroot
16:54 has been missing for as many years as
16:58 despite being declared legally dead in
17:00 2001 Minnesota TV journalists Josh
17:03 Benson and Gary Peterson created the
17:06 website find jody.com in 2003
17:10 the goal of the website is to keep the
17:12 search for Jody active and recently Josh
17:15 and Gary launched a podcast in hopes of
17:17 gaining a new audience with which to
17:18 share information and generate New Leads
17:22 there might be little Hope by bringing
17:24 Jody home alive and well but there's
17:26 still plenty to suggest that her killer
17:28 could face Justice sooner rather than
17:41 back in August of 2006 79 year old fire
17:45 spotter Stephanie Stewart was stationed
17:48 up at the Athabasca fire Lookout Point
17:50 in the Canadian province of Alberta
17:53 there are many such Lookout points in
17:55 the province and each plays a crucial
17:56 role in the prevention of destructive
18:00 the Athabasca Lookout is perhaps one of
18:02 the more significant stations as it
18:04 overlooks the Wildfire plague Tonkin
18:08 if any Flames were to get out of control
18:09 in Tonkin the nearby town of Hinton
18:12 would be in serious danger hence why
18:14 Stephanie's job was so important
18:17 generally speaking the lookout points
18:19 are inhabited by a single solitary Scout
18:22 who lives out in the woods full time
18:24 from late spring until early autumn
18:27 it makes for a grueling task fit only
18:30 for the most mentally and physically
18:33 yet despite her age Stephanie was a hard
18:37 she was healthy and adventurous having
18:39 cycled solo across Canada and climbing
18:41 Mount Kilimanjaro in her 60s
18:45 she was also a veteran of the Lookout
18:46 Point and had been volunteering to serve
18:48 up there for the past 13 years
18:52 it was a tough job but Stephanie adored
18:54 it saying it gave her time to indulge in
18:56 her two favorite pastimes reading and
19:01 she was a diligent worker who called
19:03 into head office three times a day to
19:07 so when Stephanie failed to call in the
19:09 morning weather report on August 26th
19:12 those who knew her were Gravely
19:16 she had last been heard from at 9pm the
19:18 previous evening when she chatted on the
19:19 phone to a family member
19:22 a handful of Rangers were sent to do a
19:24 welfare check on her
19:26 what they found was deeply unsettling
19:30 when the Rangers entered Stephanie's
19:32 small cabin they discovered the place
19:34 and was completely deserted
19:36 a pot of water sat simmering on the
19:39 stove meaning Stephanie hadn't been gone
19:43 since her great pickup truck was still
19:45 parked outside she could have only
19:49 the Rangers initially found those signs
19:52 but just a moments later when they
19:55 discovered spots of blood on the stairs
19:57 of the cabin's porch they began to fear
20:02 there was enough blood to suggest that
20:04 the woman was no longer alive
20:07 following an intensive search of the
20:08 cabin it was discovered that two pillows
20:11 a bed sheet a comforter and a gold watch
20:16 but while robbery remained an obvious
20:18 motive investigators decided to dig
20:22 a fish and game conservation officer was
20:25 consulted regarding the possibility that
20:27 Stephanie had fallen victim to some kind
20:30 yet following an intensive analysis of
20:33 the area no animal hair Prince or scat
20:35 were found and they were forced to rule
20:37 the possibility out
20:40 it was announced that Stephanie had most
20:42 likely been forcibly taken by someone
20:47 the general search effort would continue
20:48 but the prognosis was a gremlin
20:52 at one point the police raised the
20:54 possibility that a man named Travis
20:56 Vader was the one to blame for
20:58 Stephanie's disappearance
21:00 Vader had previous convictions for arson
21:03 theft and weapons charges and was later
21:06 sentenced to life in 2010 for taking the
21:08 lives of Lala Marie McCann a couple in
21:11 their 70s who disappeared during a
21:13 camping trip in British Columbia
21:15 Vader slaughtered the McCants following
21:17 a chance encounter with them west of
21:21 after disposing of their bodies in some
21:23 nearby Woods he said there are be a
21:25 light and went on the Run
21:28 Vader had not only committed similar
21:30 crimes before but he was actually in the
21:32 region of the Athabasca far Lookout
21:34 Point when Stephanie went missing
21:37 yet despite the circumstantial evidence
21:39 no concrete connection has ever been
21:41 established between Vader and
21:43 Stephanie's case and he's yet to be
21:47 Vader has continually denied any
21:49 involvement in Stephanie's disappearance
21:53 although the continued search effort
21:55 kept hopes alive the search teams were
21:57 faced with a number of problems
21:59 Hinton is surrounded by Wilderness with
22:02 dense forest and steep hillsides
22:04 extending for almost hundreds of miles
22:08 there's not a single other Town within
22:09 80 kilometers of the place
22:12 which raised the question
22:14 if Stephanie was taken where exactly did
22:16 her captor take her too
22:19 the search quickly expanded from the
22:21 area surrounding the Lookout Point to
22:23 one of the largest foot searches in the
22:25 province's history and was joined by
22:27 specialized aircraft which scoured over
22:29 seven and a half thousand square
22:30 kilometers for any sign of the missing
22:34 this gargantuan effort persisted until
22:36 late October when winter conditions
22:38 forced the search teams to temporarily
22:41 abandon their mission
22:43 the following summer the search resumed
22:46 but sadly no trace of Stephanie was ever
22:51 in the years that have followed this
22:52 terrifying and mysterious disappearance
22:54 Alberta's fire lookout organization
22:56 implemented a number of safety
22:58 procedures each designed to prevent such
23:00 an incident reoccurring
23:02 these days all potential Lookouts
23:05 undergo a brief but intensive course in
23:07 self-defense and enjoy a number of
23:09 advanced safety features at all of their
23:12 these include better fencing more
23:14 lighting and panic buttons to summon Aid
23:16 as quickly as possible
23:19 sadly these changes will never bring
23:21 Stephanie Stewart back
23:23 and by the looks of it neither will the
23:25 efforts of missing persons investigators
23:28 despite the use of improved DNA analysis
23:31 an additional widespread searches of the
23:33 area authorities are no closer to
23:35 solving Stephanie's disappearance than
23:37 they were back in 2006.
23:40 whoever took Stephanie had no means of
23:42 transporting her body except on foot
23:45 no other vehicle tracks were ever found
23:47 near the tower and her own vehicle
23:51 that means that unless the search teams
23:54 Overlook something during their long and
23:55 intensive search Stephanie's captor
23:58 carried her dead or alive for hundreds
24:00 of miles before disposing of her
24:04 the thought of Stephanie's killer
24:05 possessing such strength and stamina is
24:08 truly frightening and leaves us
24:10 wondering if there's more to this story
24:28 hey guys so lazy here and thank you very
