00:00chat GPT Google bard both do the same
00:03thing don't they but which one do you
00:05use so in today's video I'll go through
00:07these two AI power chat Bots and examine
00:09what strengths each of them have and
00:11hopefully by the end of it you'll get a
00:13better understanding of which is right
00:14for you so it's been a year since the
00:17likes of chpt has come up to the public
00:20and since then we've seen a massive
00:21change in the generative AI landscape
00:23with similar tools like Google bard and
00:25even Microsoft's being cheat coming into
00:27the picture in this rapidly ADV in
00:30digital age these tools have become a
00:31huge part of how we navigate through
00:33life and work at first chbt seemed to be
00:37the clear bread winner but after a year
00:39Bard and Bing Chad have definitely
00:41refined their features to make things
00:42even better but before I begin comparing
00:45the two make sure to like this channel
00:47so it can be spread to more people and
00:50subscribe to this channel if you want to
00:51know more AI tools tips and tricks to
00:54navigate through this digital
00:56ocean so why would do I need to even
00:59know about these tools well if you
01:01aren't aware already generative AI tools
01:03such as jbt and Google B are not just a
01:05medium fore to get simple responses in
01:08fact they're proving to be extremely
01:09useful for enhancing productivity
01:16accessibility and even more taking a
01:19quick overview of these tool we can see
01:21that Google bard is relatively new to
01:22the game of large language models
01:25honestly speaking calling any single
01:26chatbot the best would probably not be
01:28so accurate as each of them have their
01:29own pros and cons so to understand how
01:31each forms I've tested each of them and
01:33taken a look at what key pros and cons
01:35them each are taking a look at chat GPT
01:39this was released in November 2022 so a
01:42little bit more than a year by open AI
01:44chat GPT uses generative pre-training
01:46Transformer 3 or gpt3 or GPT 4 for paid
01:50subscribers and most of the data source
01:52that chat GPT uses is trained on data
01:54sets of text from common craw Wikipedia
01:57books articles documents and content
01:59from the internet the release of chat PT
02:01definitely made waves as it became one
02:03of the most popular platforms on the web
02:05in February 2023 chat reached over 100
02:08million users in just 5 days of its
02:10release chat surpassed 1 million
02:13users so I use chpt quite a lot and from
02:18what I've seen it has quite Speedy
02:21response challenges chpt is superior to
02:23previous generations of AI chat Bots
02:25because of the speed of its responses
02:26which makes businesses become more
02:28efficient and if you upgrade to chbt
02:31plus it's even faster also it has the
02:34ability to generate humanik responses
02:36chbt can produce more natural sounding
02:38text than previous generations of AI
02:40chatbots due to the large amounts of
02:42data it was trained on it also has quite
02:44long detailed responses on topics and it
02:47gives us the ability to learn about a
02:48subject quickly chat tpd does this
02:50relatively well and it makes it
02:52extremely useful for Content writers and
02:54people who want to get more inspiration
02:56when it comes to generating content one
02:59makes chat be so great also is his
03:01ability to understand the greater
03:02context of the overall conversation
03:03you're having in the given thread the
03:05more information you feed it the more it
03:06learns to reason better and so it may
03:09remember something you mentioned or
03:10prompted it to know at the very start of
03:13conversation also for anyone wanting to
03:15learn programming or is a program
03:17themselves tat TBT supports python
03:19JavaScript Java and a dozen other
03:21programming languages so this makes it
03:23great for using the platform as a sort
03:24of programming assistant that can help
03:27faster and having been out the longest
03:29chbt can understand and generate text in
03:31more than 20 languages which makes it
03:33versatile for most of the world also
03:36chbt also has its own mobile app so
03:39leveraging the power of chpt is now
03:41doable from your very
03:42phone there are also many Integrations
03:46for example if you have the xedia plugin
03:48you can plug in the details of what
03:49you're planning on booking and it'll
03:50give you information about the travelite
03:54details okay so those are all great but
03:56what are some of the cons so since most
03:58of the data is being pull from data sets
04:00outside of the internet for the most
04:02part it has a cut off limit as of this
04:04video up to January 2022 so some of the
04:07relevancy of the data is a bit limited
04:10also although one of its strengths is
04:12his ability to create long extensive
04:14text responses it can be a bit of a
04:16downside for those who want to use it as
04:17more of a research tool as most of the
04:19responses on chat gbt are quite text
04:21Heavy while this might be great for
04:23writing this also does come with some
04:25issues as it can be hard for you to read
04:26through everything so easily and also
04:28make you a bit overwhelmed from all of
04:31worriness there's also the issue of
04:34accuracy in data or hallucinations since
04:36this output is not perfect there have
04:38been plenty of cases where people have
04:39complained about how the information
04:41that it puts out it's not really that
04:44accurate especially when it comes to
04:46numerical values like dates and times so
04:48it'll probably be best to always fact
04:49check what you received as a response
04:51and of course GPT 4 which you can pay
04:54$20 per month for it is a lot better you
04:57can input plugins you can also have have
04:59the functionality to upload images and
05:01all that stuff as I mentioned it is just
05:04exactly that a plus plan so you need to
05:06pay $20 per month to actually upgrade to
05:08the now looking at Google bard released
05:12only several Mones after chat gbt in
05:13March 2023 Bard uses what Google is
05:16calling the pathways language model or
05:18Palm 2 trained on what is known as
05:21infinet this is a data set that includes
05:23common craw Wikipedia documents and
05:25conversations from the web and also
05:27being a Google product bar can also
05:29search the internet real time to find
05:32research some of the great Pros is that
05:34it has a in my personal opinion better
05:37user interface than chbt you can tell
05:39that Google put a lot more time into
05:41making its interface more intuitive and
05:44through also it gives some alternate
05:47responses so besides his initial
05:49response B also offers several other
05:51drafts or Alternatives you can choose
05:53from also for those who are a bit lazy
05:55to read through all that chunk of textt
05:57bar does offer the option to listen to
05:59the text response simply by pressing the
06:01sound icon at the top right since Bard
06:04is linked to Google it's only natural
06:06that you can review through the sources
06:07of the response by hitting the Google It
06:09button it will then scan through the
06:10response and see what text is associated
06:12with which source although it doesn't
06:15work perfectly right now and of course
06:17right off the prompt bar you can click
06:19on the mic to enter voice commands to
06:21talk directly to Google bard this is
06:23especially useful if you have long
06:24extensive promps you want to feed it but
06:26that take note as of this video chat TBT
06:28plus users or mobile users also have
06:31feature Bard also gives you the ability
06:33to share the response with others or
06:35even export it directly into Google Docs
06:37or Gmail if you aren't happy with your
06:40response or even want to modify it in a
06:42particular way with different tonality
06:43you can use a three line icon and choose
06:45from a set of options how you want to
06:47modify for example if you want the
06:49response to be shorter or longer you can
06:51do so or perhaps you want a more
06:54response since Bard is searching results
06:56and images from Google search as well it
06:58can provide images in response to
07:00provide you further visual context to
07:01its responses chat gbt plus does do this
07:04as well unlike what you see for chat gbt
07:07plus users only with Bard's free version
07:10you can upload an image which you can
07:11then scan through and grab text from
07:12images using this OCR Tech however as of
07:15this video it works well for English
07:17only but beyond just extracting text you
07:19can also use this image handling feature
07:21for quite a lot you can extract table
07:24from an image perhaps a PDF file and
07:26even then export it directly into Google
07:28Sheets you can then get a general
07:30estimation of nutritional value for
07:31images of food you can also get a
07:34general estimation of nutritional value
07:36through images of food this is very
07:38useful for people who want to eat a
07:39better diet but have difficulty in terms
07:41of calculating the total calorie intake
07:43if you have a mathematical equation you
07:45aren't sure about plugging the
07:46screenshot of the formula into Bard and
07:47it will help you walk through the
07:49problem for those who are out of the
07:50loop of specific memes Bard will do its
07:52best to even explain memes or jokes to
07:54you so you aren't feeling too much like
07:55a boomer you can also create code from
07:57screenshots of specific interfaces
07:59of course don't take the code for face
08:01value but it will definitely do a good
08:02enough job to get you started some of
08:04the cons however is that unlike chbt B's
08:08Palm 2 is less rying on large amounts of
08:10Text data and as such it's a lot less
08:12wordy this could be a good thing but
08:14some may consider this to be a bad thing
08:15in terms of the extensiveness of its
08:18response also Bard only understands
08:20prompts in English Japanese Korean
08:23German and a few more other languages
08:26and as of right now B only supports a
08:27specific amount of languages of course
08:29this is excusable since Bard is still in
08:31experiment mode and of course this will
08:33be subject to change over the coming
08:34month also Bard is a little bit weak and
08:37sticking to context don't get me wrong
08:39chat TBT isn't perfect at this as well
08:41but Bard is a lot worse doesn't have too
08:43great of a grasp on previous prompts and
08:45past conversational context as such it
08:47can be a quite frustrating when you're
08:49trying to continue a flow of output
08:50without having to repeat a given prompt
08:52over and over again often times it feels
08:54like you have to insert a new prompt
08:56entirely just to start all over again so
08:58in the end all of these chat Bots are
09:00powerful in their own right and with the
09:02pace of development each of these are
09:03going through we can definitely expect
09:04to see more updates upgrades and
09:05advances and every new month moving
09:08forward While My overall pick remains to
09:10be chat because I am a plus user um I do
09:13think that Google Bart does have a large
09:15potential and I still do use Google bard
09:17in other various ways as well so for the
09:21most part I leverage cat GPT right now
09:23personally just as a starting off point
09:26for brainstorming and then for Google
09:28bar to kind of double check on the
09:31validity of the content and kind of
09:32reference back to other resources if you
09:35found this comparison helpful please
09:37like this video as algorithm will push
09:38it out to more people and subscribe to
