00:22the film you're about to see
00:28it is a film to describe to you
00:31and explain visually
00:34the effect of somatic frequencies
00:46spare a little of your imagination as
00:48you watch this film as it runs
00:51you will see many things that answer
00:55you will see living forms
00:59almost animal-like creatures
01:02you will see continents being formed
01:05the Earth itself coming into existence
01:12Atomic explosions and bombs you can see
01:16and watch it before your eyes but any
01:19everything owes its existence
01:32which holds it together
01:43in the beginning was the word
01:47we are told that this is how the world
01:49began and how creation took shape
01:53if we put that into the modern idiom
01:56and say that into the great voids of
02:05please watch carefully
02:23we can also use different shapes of
02:26here we have a triangular plate with a
02:29crystal attached to its Underside and
02:31produce a sonorous fit we change to a
02:34higher note and see a rather more
03:12this more elaborate figure likewise on a
03:15steel plate is also produced by
03:18vibration the exciting crystal is
03:21attached to the upper corner of the
03:25we use sand and lycopodium the
03:29lycopodium moves to the center of the
03:32fields and takes up circular shapes the
03:36sand forms the lines each material has
03:39its own special way of behaving
03:52nycopodium alone a Solace figure
03:58transition to a mobile flowing phase
04:08and back again to the figure
04:16the sonorous figures represent
04:18stationary waves but now we can also
04:22observe moving waves
04:24here the sand is flowing in a current
04:45when the wavelengths are short these
04:48currents produce a rotary effect
04:51areas become defined in which the
04:53particles are actually rotating
05:29now we produce two notes with
05:31frequencies which are so related as to
05:34cause a Beat the note seems to throb and
05:37by using the method we have chosen this
05:40phenomenon of beat or interference can
05:43be rendered visible the figure sways to
05:46and fro the figure pulsates
06:18the picture has changed completely
06:21now we are exciting fluids
06:25under vibration a layer of turpentine
06:28forms a regular lattice work
06:54in vibrating glycerin we see continuous
06:57waves which form the queerest figures
07:00and yet the extraordinary things we see
07:03here are simply and solely the effect of
08:13here is a sonorous figure shown in a
08:17there are some wave Fields where there
08:21where there was previously sand now
08:24there is nothing to be seen
08:27the dynamic phase has become the static
08:32wave fields which make the vibratory
08:35process in the plate indirectly visible
08:46here again interference can be
08:50all these wave Fields pulsate
08:53interference becomes visible
09:25a fluid colored black is dripped into a
09:30vibration now gives rise to curious
09:36it is always a pair of eddies that is
09:39one pair after another is generated so
09:43that we finish up with a whole series of
09:45such pairs of eddies in a symmetrical
10:25the formation of these Eddies by
10:27vibration is particularly significant
10:30because it is Eddies of this kind which
10:33are specifically formed in the cochlea
10:35of our ears whenever we hear sounds
10:39that is to say they are not ordinary
10:42Eddies as defined in rheology but
10:46vibratory Eddies with the members of
10:49each pair turning in opposite directions
12:02a plasticizable substance is always
12:05shaped into a ball by the wave trains of
12:08the vibrating membrane
12:10the masses are jiggled round but
12:13gradually proper spherical shapes are
12:16formed created by nothing more than the
13:15the human voice can also be made visible
13:18with a simple apparatus
13:20various vowels show typical
13:23characteristics depending on the nature
13:27we can see the Spectrum as it were of
14:02a sequence of some notes comes out as a
14:06sequence of vibratory patterns we can
14:37music can also be made visible
14:40the same membrane that emits the music
14:43can also make its vibratory processes
14:46visible through the medium of the fluid
14:49here we have the last 89 bars of the
14:53first movement of Mozart's Jupiter
14:57we can see Mozart while we hear him
16:24powder the spores of the Club Moss
16:29reveals a number of quite remarkable
16:31phenomena when made to vibrate
16:34circular shapes appear
16:37but these are in a state of continuous
16:40the particles are pushed outwards from
16:43the center and inwards again from the
16:48and at the same time they pulsate
17:24we can recognize the various patterns of
17:27the vibratory fields
17:29they move to and fro Unite
17:33and separate again according to the
17:35vibratory state of the surface formed by
17:40and we can as it were move over a
17:43landscape which is in a state of
17:48if we intensify the note if we produce a
17:51crescendo for the ear the messes are
17:56we see fountains eruptions explosions
18:02but invariably the particles return to
18:05the center so that here again even under
18:08these violently Dynamic conditions we
18:12find there is circulation
19:21here a quick glance at a phenomenon with
19:26two liquids which spread by surface
19:31no vibration is involved but this
19:34phenomenon also progresses periodically
19:37expressing the ubiquitous law of
19:54now we excite the surface on which the
19:59an entirely different picture is
20:03it is even possible to make out a
20:08now there is vibration
20:12but then the vibration slowly ceases and
20:16again we see a phenomenon without
20:20the regular pulsation of these spreading
21:50the behavior of iron filings when
21:53subjected simultaneously to a magnetic
21:57shows that adhesion to the surface is
22:00substantially reduced
22:03the magnetic lines of the force round
22:06the poles show up with exceptional
22:10if we cluster the magnetic lines
22:12together we can see the effect on the
22:17if we thin out the lines of force the
22:20phenomenon spreads out
22:47because of the reduced adhesion the
22:50particles of iron have certain degrees
23:01but only in obedience to the vibration
23:25even these serpent-like formations are
23:28produced simply and solely by vibration
23:31over areas of the vibrating membrane
23:34representing movement processes
25:01materials and substances and the various
25:04states of aggregation behave in
25:07characteristic ways under the effect of
25:09vibration or we can say that their
25:13behavior is specific
25:18here again round shapes are formed and
25:22the circulation is set in motion but in
25:26the opposite direction to that observed
25:32there is a definite ripple effect caused
25:35by the wave trains in the vibrating
25:37membrane a rich field of effects you
25:40change your vibration
26:01separate and pulsate
26:29if we intensify the vibration equivalent
26:33to a crescendo for the ear
26:35the masses are thrown into ever greater
26:41spikes are thrust up there are eruptions
26:48and all due to the Dynamics of vibration
26:53the whole landscape opens before us
26:58the note we hear is strong enough to
27:01originate all this turbulence
27:03this impressive display
27:39and to end with here by way of contrast
27:43is a sonorous figure a static figure
27:47instead of a dynamic one
27:49representing the opposite pole in the
27:52vast range of phenomena that make up a
28:45founder and director of New England
28:47sound dealers a non-profit organization
28:49dedicated to research and awareness of
28:52the use of Sound and Music for
28:54my guest is Dr Peter guy matters
28:58Peter guy matters is a doctor from
29:01England he holds a number of different
29:02degrees including doctor of Medicine
29:05doctor of osteopathy as well as phds
29:09from both Oxford and Heidelberg
29:13he's researched and worked with Dr Hans
29:15Jenny of bowel Switzerland professor
29:19gavo of the sorbonne in Paris France Dr
29:22Bruner of Heidelberg Germany and George
29:25Delaware at the Delaware Laboratories in
29:29since 1961 Dr manners has been applying
29:33his knowledge of the effects of sound
29:35for healing into the development of
29:39which is now internationally known and
29:41used in various parts of the globe
29:44his Brett Borton Hall clinic in
29:46Worcestershire England specializes in
29:48the use of cymatic therapy the direct
29:51application of sound on the body for
29:56Dr manners it's a pleasure to have you
29:58here thank you Johnson it's very nice to
30:00be back here too well I wonder if you
30:03could tell us what exactly is cymatics
30:05that is is it a new form of therapy or
30:09is it something that is very ancient
30:10very old what can you tell us about it
30:13well basically it is not something which
30:15is new it has been researched over a
30:20a lot of research has gone into the work
30:23and it has been in use for approximately
30:2620 years in our clinic in Worcestershire
30:30but over and above that you ask is it
30:32very old yes it is very old uh the
30:35concept of sound or music or any of
30:38these type of things is as old
30:40practically as man himself but in
30:43somatic therapy we have adapted it into
30:45the modern idiom and and now it is used
30:49in a technological way which is
30:51scientifically approved
30:54medically acceptable and isn't used in
30:57many clinics throughout the world is
31:00there some sort of history of the use of
31:02sound or music being used in ancient
31:05civilizations I've heard that
31:07stories of this type of oh yes many of
31:12in the research field and in order to
31:15work in the research field you have to
31:17go backwards as well as forward and
31:19we've traveled into many countries uh
31:22examining the techniques anywhere where
31:24there's been any suggestion that sound
31:28of any type was used we found great
31:32evidence of that amongst the American
31:34Indians where they used sound and
31:37vibration to heal the sick in Greece in
31:42Egypt in China in Mexico in Brazil and
31:46practically all the countries it has
31:50also in biblical times of course
31:55music and the formation of sound into a
31:58music form was used with very great
32:01success and you'll find great evidence
32:03of this in your Bible the Bible how so
32:07there are many references to uh calming
32:11The Savage Beast with music and also we
32:14all remember the story of King Saul and
32:18the harpist that he always had to
32:21relieve his tension his stress and his
32:23strength young David I believe it was
32:25precisely yes indeed
32:27the Pythagoras we know is the father of
32:30geometry was also involved in this work
32:33is that true or yes that's perfectly
32:35true but also the the temples of Delphi
32:40um and we have discovered a
32:43comparatively recently that music and
32:47sound was one of the concepts of their
32:51a lot of the stories which have been
32:54written concerning the temps of
32:58Delphi are not wholly correct and we've
33:02found that the pulsation of beating
33:05notes and music was one of the therapies
33:08which they used fascinating fascinating
33:11now is cymatic therapy what is it though
33:14is it is it sound is it music is it um
33:18is it something you play from a tape
33:19recorder is it um well of course when
33:21you refer to sound everyone sort of
33:23Associates it with something that you
33:25listen to with cymatics this is not
33:27precisely so it is literally the
33:30transplanting or the transmutation of
33:34accepted frequencies of sound into the
33:37tissue and structure of the human being
33:40only or areas of the body on the organs
33:45produce a harmonic a sound
33:49this sound is very small and very minute
33:53this again is not a New Concept not a
33:56new Theory but it is only incomparently
33:59recent years that technology has caught
34:03up with the concepts and the ideas of
34:05this and we've been able to reproduce
34:07these frequencies and sounds and now we
34:10can reproduce them create them
34:12artificially and transmit transfer them
34:15back into the tissue and the structure a
34:17lot of our doctors are referring it to
34:19transplant because technically I suppose
34:22this is what we are doing we are
34:24transplanting the corrected frequencies
34:26back into the structure to replace any
34:29abnormalities that exist there also of
34:32course one of the strongest points which
34:34we Advocate is that we can use this in
34:37place of drugs and medicine and if we
34:40can replace medicine with treatment we
34:44find this is much better it takes a
34:46little more time and you have to have a
34:47little more attention from your
34:49individual practitioner or doctor but
34:52then that is one of the things which we
34:54are trying to push forward the present
34:55moment that the medical profession
34:59treats every individual as a holistic
35:02being rather than a condition so you're
35:07there are different frequencies for
35:09different parts of the body and that
35:12with somatic therapy you would somehow
35:15inject or put in the correct frequency
35:21for that part of the body is that
35:23correct that's correct
35:25um you see every part of the body
35:26possesses a harmonic whether it's a
35:28harmonic of the heart the lungs the
35:30liver the kidney muscles bones nerves
35:33whatever it is it produces a harmonic
35:36this harmonic is now tabulated we know
35:39what they are and we can reform these
35:43artificially on a computer then it can
35:46be played back into the structure and
35:48the system it is Pleasant it is easy it
35:53is comfortable there's no side effects
35:55there are no literally no conditions
35:58where it cannot be used except if the
36:01patient is has a heart Pacer but then
36:04that applies to all techniques of
36:05treatment if the patient has a heart
36:08mid problem there but other than that
36:12there are no conditions that can't be
36:14treated even in pregnancy cases we've
36:16treated them right up to the time of
36:21cymatics what does the word mean
36:25well in its early stages which was now
36:28over 20 years ago it was called Sonic
36:30medicine or sonic therapy but the
36:34general public got this confused with
36:36Ultrasonics which is quite
36:39so therefore we change the name to
36:43cymatic cymatics is a Greek word meaning
36:46pressure or waves while we are using
36:48pressure waves and bind with the sound
36:51so it's perfect technically correct also
36:53it pays tribute to one of the doctors
36:58whose ground where it formulated this
37:01concept and this therapy and this was Dr
37:03Hans journey of Baal in Switzerland and
37:07he called his form of research cymatic
37:11semantic research he did invaluable work
37:14but what we have done is to bring the
37:17research of various physicists and
37:19doctors and scientists together
37:21the list that you've already quoted
37:23bring those together and out of that
37:26we've evolved a technique of treatment
37:29which is now internationally known in
37:32the Jews right throughout the world Dr
37:34Jenny's work has been published in a
37:37couple of books that's correct there are
37:39two books which are beautifully
37:41Illustrated and shows the formation of
37:44shapes and forms that can be created by
37:48various frequencies of sound
37:51he lectured very very little he objected
37:55to standing on a platform and lecturing
37:57but he did make records of all his work
38:01he made film of it he took photographs
38:04of it the books were Illustrated from it
38:07and just before he died he passed all
38:09his research over to us so that we could
38:13amalgamate it fit it with other concepts
38:17of therapy there's one doctor which we
38:19have left out in your list and he was
38:22very very important in that Dr Harold
38:25Saxon Burr without the concepts that he
38:29formulated we shouldn't be in the
38:31position we are today it's only thanks
38:33to these people who have laid the
38:35foundations on which we can construct
38:38this therapy that we owe so very much to
38:40Dr Saxonburg was associated with Yale
38:43University he was at Yale University and
38:45his main work involved his main work was
38:48being able to discover that you can
38:52measure the frequencies of radiation
38:55outside of the body when he first
38:57postulated this Theory I mean it was
39:00mistrusted I mean at that day and time I
39:04mean very little was known about it and
39:07no one quite went along with what he was
39:09saying but fortunately before he left
39:14he was able to come back to Yale
39:17University and I think the expression is
39:20his picture was turned away from facing
39:23the wall and there's now a picture on
39:26because he was a very famous and a very
39:29talented man and the work that he did
39:31was absolutely invaluable in the fields
39:34of research and we find that now we're
39:37moving more and more into this field of
39:39research that more and more of the
39:41technical truths which he wrote up and
39:45experimented with are of invaluable use
39:50what are your basic principles of using
39:54sound or somatic therapy as a
39:58healing tool in the first and early days
40:01of this we kept it locked into the use
40:04of muscular diseases bone diseases joint
40:07deformities rheumatism arthritis
40:10fibrositis now we kept it into these
40:15diseases for several purposes the main
40:18one was to accumulate as much
40:20information and knowledge in case
40:22histories as we possibly could to
40:24validate our concept and our Theory
40:27but also there was other things coming
40:31the concept and that was it was very
40:34easy to treat because you treated the
40:37but as it has gone along over the past
40:4020 years we have found now that we can
40:43treat all parts of the body and
40:46including the internal organs and year
40:49by year we are for having reports fed
40:51back to us from various doctors and
40:54clinics that are using the
40:55instrumentation that are feeding back
40:57new results and new points are coming
41:00delayed perhaps you could Enlighten us a
41:03bit more about how exactly you could use
41:06a sound or tone to counteract
41:10a disease or something that is not
41:12balanced properly in the body
41:15well if every organ and every part of
41:19the human anatomy gives off a signal
41:22providing all those signals are in line
41:25with the general harmonic of the whole
41:28body then you are in good health but if
41:32for any reason irrespective of what it
41:35is if for any reason any of those
41:37frequencies fall out of alignment
41:39then you are disease or out of Harmony
41:45um also another thing which is very
41:48important is that this simplifies to a
41:51large extent the method of administering
41:55treatment or administering medicine
41:58you see a lot of these instruments are
42:01now being developed for a third world
42:03countries now we can't hope to train uh
42:07third world people directly into
42:09medicine over a short space of time and
42:12if we don't do something quickly I mean
42:14many people are going to be in dire pain
42:17and Straits which no help is done
42:20because I mean there are far too few
42:23medical practitioners to be able to deal
42:26with the amount of people that need help
42:29therefore the effect of diagnosing a
42:32condition is not so vitally important if
42:36you're dealing with it medically a
42:38diagnosis is vitally important because
42:40otherwise you'd administer the wrong
42:42medication but if you're dealing with
42:45some internal organ that is out of
42:47alignment and you're assessing it by its
42:50vibrational force field then providing
42:52you can correct or there's some method
42:54or some technique that can correct this
42:57vibrationary force field irrespective of
43:00the condition which is causing that
43:01you're on the right track so therefore
43:04many people can be helped merely by
43:06injecting the frequency back into the
43:09structure and what also you've got to
43:12remember is that the frequency you're
43:14injecting is the natural frequency
43:17you're working hand in hand with nature
43:21you're not doing anything Contra to
43:23Nature because the adverse condition is
43:25contrary to Nature so therefore if
43:27you're putting in the corrected
43:29frequency in Signal the human structure
43:32is very keen to get back into alignment
43:36this is one of the principal problems
43:41that have been in the organ transplant
43:47it is the harmonic concept everything is
43:50taken into consideration when a
43:52transplant is done whether it's by a
43:54kidney transplant or heart transplant
43:56everything is taken into consideration
43:58but up until a short while ago we gave
44:00no consideration to the harmonic and
44:03therefore if the harmonic of that
44:06transplanted heart is not in line with
44:09the harmonics of the rest of that system
44:12we use the term the body rejects the
44:15transplant this is merely what it means
44:17it rejects it because the harmonic
44:20evaluation of that heart will not fit in
44:22with the rest of the harmonics of the
44:24system in the body so in other words
44:28in order to utilize a sound or a series
44:31of harmonics as a healing tool what you
44:35would do is you would inject this into
44:36the body and that which was diseased or
44:39vibrating out of Harmony or ease with
44:41the rest of the body would somehow
44:43resonate back to its proper free
44:44practice proper frequency but one thing
44:47we've got to be careful in this you use
44:49the word inject now if we use the word
44:52inject a lot of people think we're going
44:53to stick a needle into them and inject
44:55something we transmit it into the system
44:58so the system is easy there is no
45:01breaking of skin or Surface no needles
45:04are used it is an application which is
45:06applied to the surface of the body and
45:09if you apply sound in the audible range
45:11the surface of the body it will transmit
45:13itself right straight through the body
45:15and out the other side now if there's
45:19um organically incorrect
45:22in the area through which that travels
45:25it will travel straight through and be
45:27rejected on the far side no harm will be
45:29done no damage will be done but if
45:32there's any abnormality in the frequency
45:34of the areas you're projecting the
45:36frequency field to then it will Rectify
45:40that as it passes through and merely by
45:42simply placing the hand on the far side
45:45to which the applicator is applied you
45:48can tell whether the condition is
45:50Advanced or whether it's very bad or
45:53whether it's very slight because if the
45:55frequency signal travels through very
45:57quickly there is very little wrong in
45:59that area but if it takes some seconds
46:01or a minute before it travels through
46:03then you know it's meeting obstacles on
46:06its Passage through the structure what
46:09sort of cases have you worked with well
46:10we've dealt actually well I mean over
46:12that period of time with many thousands
46:14of cases the early work in the early
46:17days was muscular rheumatism arthritis
46:21fibroid bursitis and the point was to
46:25treat these people now in advanced cases
46:29we particularly chose advanced cases in
46:32some cases to see how long or how much
46:36improvement we can get where medically
46:39speaking we said it was incurable and
46:42in some of these cases the patients had
46:45had Rheumatic disorders or arthritic
46:48disorders for a period of 30 years in a
46:51rowdly people in many of these cases
46:53where we were able to stabilize the
46:56condition and prevent further
46:59deterioration but in lots of cases we've
47:02got Improvement and if we got cases
47:04early enough then we've got a cure
47:07but since then many many cases have been
47:11dealt with which have no sort of
47:14relationship to the cases we started off
47:18with I mean we've treated heart
47:20conditions lung conditions bronchial
47:23intestinal troubles most of these
47:26conditions now can all be treated by
47:28this technique in this method
47:31has some slots that you're going to show
47:36may tell us a little bit about the
47:38effects of sound on some of the
47:40inorganic matter that is great because a
47:42lot of these slides are were originally
47:45done by Dr Hans Jenny showing the effect
47:48on substance and liquids and fluids of
47:51particular sound frequencies now
47:54although they have no medical
47:57validity at this particular point in
48:00time because we've moved on further to
48:02that they are interesting in as much as
48:05you can see the effect and I think it's
48:08always more convincing if you can see
48:10rather than just to hear what someone's
48:12talking about so therefore if you look
48:14at the film at the slides if you look at
48:17these slides you will see how the
48:19intricate patterns which we can
48:22formulate in substance can be changed
48:24merely by altering the frequency Fields
48:27let's take a look at some of these uh
48:30now and we're going to show you now a
48:32few slides to give you some idea because
48:35I think if you get a visual
48:36interpretation of what we have been
48:39discussing you'll get a better
48:41impression of exactly what we're doing
48:43where we can go what we can create and
48:48it is scientifically correct to say that
48:54owe their shape and form solely to sound
48:59and by these slides we are able to show
49:01you how that shape and form can be held
49:04and repeated as many times as we wish
49:07merely by the use of sound
49:10here we show one single drop of water
49:13placed on a plate to which the frequency
49:16field has been attached by this means
49:19we've been able to make it visual for
49:21you to see the geometric forms that can
49:23be formed when these symmetic frequency
49:26is filled into the structure here we
49:29have just one single drop of water
49:31vibrating at a low frequency the low
49:34frequency gives the illusion that it is
49:37almost solid or semi-solid it is not it
49:41is just clear tap water and nothing more
49:44now if we change that frequency we can
49:48change the form and the shape
49:51this is again the same drop of water as
49:54in the previous picture but the
49:57frequency field has changed we have
49:59changed it and so long as that frequency
50:02exists this shape and form will maintain
50:06its hold it will act in this particular
50:10way every time this frequency is placed
50:14into the plate which is the dark area
50:16around the outside if we change the
50:19frequency back we can reverse it back to
50:22the previous one but each time we change
50:26modulates the single drop of water
50:29that's showing on the plate
50:31here again we have the same metal plate
50:35and the same drop of water we haven't
50:38changed the water in any way say exactly
50:40the same water but again we have changed
50:42the frequency field within this we are
50:45using single frequencies and not the
50:48multiple frequencies of the cymatic
50:51instrument but as the frequency goes
50:54higher you will notice that the Design
50:57Within it becomes a little more ethereal
51:00in other words we are seeing more spaces
51:02between but even so the spaces are still
51:08again same plate same water
51:13but again the frequency has changed and
51:15we're becoming a little more ethereal
51:17again it's gradually tightening up onto
51:21these areas and sparsing out in these
51:24areas making the design a little more
51:27ethereal looking less solid in other
51:30words now if the frequency field was
51:33changed back we could recreate any one
51:37of these back in line or move them up in
51:39line we can recreate this time and time
51:43again and make the same patterns over
51:47now here we have a complete change both
51:50of the material that we're using and
51:53also the frequency field is being fed in
51:56this was our first realization that we
51:59could apart from making a flat
52:03diagrammatic form on the plate we could
52:06evolve it into a three-dimensional
52:09figure or form what we are feeding into
52:12here is five frequencies into the plate
52:15which causes this malleable plastic to
52:19lift up to formulate into this form and
52:22shape and fold itself into the center
52:25Groove along the top it's in constant
52:28movement but keeping the constant form
52:31and shape this was the first realization
52:34that the semantic concept and the
52:37somatic principle could formulate a
52:40design and a pattern which was in
52:42similarity a line to the formation
52:45structures within the human body
52:48uh here we have a picture of cellular
52:51development showing exactly how the cell
52:54structure forms and how this
52:56interrelating form falls into this
52:59Center crevice it is a moving Mass the
53:04whole time moving in constantly in
53:07folding within itself
53:09here we have something which is just
53:11plastic it's pliable plastic but we're
53:14freeding a field into it which will
53:16create the same movement and basically
53:20the same form of the structure as the
53:23natural one that preceded it
53:26here again we have another picture of a
53:29cell development dividing into the four
53:31pin Concepts and the outer rim around
53:34the outside again in a constant state of
53:38enfoldment one side from the outer
53:41moving into the inner from all four
53:44sides in a constant state if this was on
53:47a moving picture it would look like a
53:52amoeba pulsing and moving
53:55we have another picture which is very
53:57similar in appearance to the last one
54:00that we showed you but this one is again
54:03plastic being formulated into this shape
54:06and form by a somatic frequency except
54:09that here we have if you notice there
54:12are five areas within it instead of four
54:15but the same action is taking place an
54:18unfolding movement from the outer rim to
54:21the inner points from the outer rim to
54:23the inner points in other words like a
54:26living evolving Mass but it owes its
54:30life wholly and solely to the vibration
54:33or the frequency field is being fed into
54:39here we have a very highly magnified
54:41picture of the forefinger of a newborn
54:46child showing the sort of cell
54:48development that is in on the on the
54:53this is like a Podium dust vibrating at
54:57a similar frequency formulating itself
55:00up into again these small Center points
55:04almost a replica of the cell formation
55:07of the child's fingers now as you can
55:09see by the slides that you have seen we
55:12can reproduce the most fantastic shapes
55:15and forms we can almost duplicate parts
55:18of the human anatomy and structure
55:20merely by putting the correct frequency
55:23into place and utilizing it these things
55:27can be reproduced as many times as we
55:30want again and again we can reproduce
55:33them and watch them almost like living
55:35shapes living forms living amoeba they
55:39owe their life wholly and solely to
55:42sound and perhaps we do too
56:32Peter some of those slides are quite
56:34astounding especially the ones that we
56:36saw where the sound formation was almost
56:38exactly duplicate of the cellular
56:40formation there's also a film that you
56:43um made with Dr Hans Jenny on this
56:46material is it not from that's correct I
56:49think if you see the actual film on it
56:51it gives you a better concept and a
56:54better idea of how these shapes and
56:57forms can move in some parts of the film
57:01it looks almost as if it's a a living
57:04moving amoeba that's existing there but
57:09all of it owes its life holy solely and
57:12simply to sound you stop the sound and
57:14everything stops you turn on the sound
57:16and everything becomes alive it looks
57:18like living shape and form wasn't there
57:22something in the Bible in the beginning
57:23was the word I'm talking about the word
57:25maybe meaning sound or something like
57:27that oh yes we love to use that one
57:30in the beginning was the word and the
57:34Word was God well I I read this many
57:36times as a child and didn't make much
57:38sense to me I quite admit it was
57:41interesting but it didn't have much
57:43sense but what we didn't realize and we
57:46didn't realize until comparative is
57:48recently is that within this we have a
57:52scientific formula so if we turn it into
57:54the modern idiom into the great voids of
57:57space sound cause matter to take shape
58:01because it's basically what it does you
58:05uh matter what you like whether it's a
58:08liquid whether it's oil whether it's
58:10dust whether it's sand whatever it is
58:13and you can form it in the most
58:15intricate and fascinating designs and
58:18patterns and shapes and forms but you
58:21see most of this work the basic work we
58:25have followed it up it's true it was
58:27done by Dr Hans Jenny but this medically
58:31speaking was not what we wanted what we
58:35was a harmonic that would form the not
58:40into a flat shape you see it most of
58:43these are flat shapes on the plate we
58:45wanted something that would form into a
58:47three-dimensional form and shape
58:49something that would defy gravity if you
58:52like in which we had injected
58:55levitation well when I first went into
58:58the laboratory and asked my technician
59:01if he could formulate some way in which
59:04we could create Leverage he thought I'd
59:06go and start raving mad and said well
59:10but anyhow we from single frequencies we
59:14tried two frequencies three frequencies
59:16four frequencies and the patterns become
59:19more intriguing they became different
59:24um if I made their use this word maybe
59:26come almost a theory or because they
59:28become very fine and delicate but it
59:31still wasn't what we were after and we
59:33were almost at the point of giving up
59:34and we said well we'll try one more
59:36we'll try five when we tried five
59:39frequencies or we nearly jumped up in
59:41the air because it actually happened
59:43the stuff that we had on the plate
59:46literally blew off the plate
59:49so um what we did then was to put a
59:52plastic which we thought we could bind
59:54and hold together and we put this
59:56plastic on the plate and sure enough it
59:58Formed itself up into a form defying the
01:00:02pull of gravity and started to form up
01:00:04into a holistic form and shape
01:00:07three-dimensional this is what we need
01:00:09this is what we wanted because this is
01:00:11the basic sort of formulative structure
01:00:13of shape and form in the human body so
01:00:16we were really onto something so in a
01:00:18way then the sound creates the form
01:00:21the sound will create the form and will
01:00:24hold it for just as long as you want it
01:00:27to hold but if you change that frequency
01:00:29then it will if you want to use a word
01:00:32it will you will have mutation
01:00:34it will change the shape so therefore it
01:00:37is again correct to say scientific fact
01:00:39that as the sound so the shape and the
01:00:43form so they're basically we conclude
01:00:46from that that the human body in the
01:00:48form in which we see it is held in that
01:00:51formulative pattern and structure holy
01:00:54and solely by the sound it contains and
01:00:58Peter could you tell us a little bit
01:01:00about the use of somatic therapy in
01:01:02hospitals and other clinical settings is
01:01:05it being used in hospitals today oh yes
01:01:07most certainly mostly into the
01:01:11a smaller Consulting rooms it seemed to
01:01:14be more an individual thing rather than
01:01:17a collective thing in some of the large
01:01:19hospitals but in the smaller
01:01:21establishments in Consulting rooms and
01:01:23Clinics it's proved absolutely
01:01:26invaluable so many of the conditions
01:01:28especially simple things like uh or as I
01:01:32say simple as a practitioner a bit
01:01:34difficult to the person who's receiving
01:01:35it and that is slip disc which can be
01:01:38horribly painful can keep people away
01:01:40from their work or their offices or
01:01:42their employment for sometimes weeks on
01:01:45end there's very little it could be done
01:01:47about it except tell them to rest and
01:01:49that's about it and give them a pain
01:01:51killer well now with the aid of somatics
01:01:55all this can change we can alter all
01:01:56this with the application of cymatic
01:02:00therapy for approximately 10 to 15
01:02:03minutes the pain will ease down
01:02:07and invariably when the tension is moved
01:02:10out of the surrounding area and tissue
01:02:12very often without manipulation it will
01:02:16slip back in place but even if a
01:02:19manipulation has to take place it can be
01:02:21done easily and simply
01:02:24therefore the older technique of
01:02:27osteopathic manipulation which has been
01:02:31these as I said the arguing point
01:02:33between the medical profession and the
01:02:35osteopaths especially in the UK for so
01:02:37long is now overcome no longer do we
01:02:41have to what we term are cold
01:02:43manipulation in other words force it
01:02:45back into position because once you've
01:02:48used cymatic on the whole area relaxes
01:02:50eases and it will be comfortably back in
01:02:54position now there are many other things
01:02:57that we can ease and relieve pain
01:03:00without the administering of drugs and
01:03:03painkillers it has been found and
01:03:06checked by specialists in London who are
01:03:09using this instrument that the end of
01:03:12four ends which are the secretion from
01:03:14the brain which ease off pain it's like
01:03:18painkiller is activated by the
01:03:22transmitter transmission of frequencies
01:03:25into their structure we have used this
01:03:28in hospitals where
01:03:31patients have been injured in mining
01:03:34disasters where the roof has crashed in
01:03:37now we all know medically there's very
01:03:39little we can do from this or except to
01:03:41clean it up make them comfortable
01:03:44and give them a painkiller if necessary
01:03:47and just hope that time will heal it
01:03:50well now we can do much more than that
01:03:52because for applying this frequency
01:03:54above the damaged area we can deaden
01:04:00down to a large extent the pain and
01:04:03there is no side effects as if we have
01:04:05given drugs to administer it have you
01:04:08tried this in the situations of cancer
01:04:12when our cancer is something which the
01:04:14uh unless you are an MD you are not
01:04:19allowed to treat we've got to remember
01:04:21that these instruments are in the hands
01:04:23of osteopaths chiropractors
01:04:26nurses Nurse Consultants all these kind
01:04:30of people who are efficient
01:04:32practitioners within their own right and
01:04:35they are using these instruments now
01:04:37with this instrument they are not
01:04:39breaking the law in any way shape or
01:04:41form because we do not deal with cancer
01:04:45to obliterate it we do not attempt to
01:04:48disintegrate the cancer we treat the
01:04:51organ to which it is being Troublesome
01:04:54in other words if it's a lung cancer we
01:04:56treat the lung we strengthen and fortify
01:04:59the lung and let the cancer take care of
01:05:02itself and invariably this does happen
01:05:05Dr manners I know you brought your
01:05:07somatic instrument here from England do
01:05:10you think you can show us how it works
01:05:12yes we can do that that presents no
01:05:14problem now in its early stages of
01:05:17course it was a vast instrument which
01:05:19was very clumsy very difficult and
01:05:21couldn't be moved
01:05:22now it is transportable is no larger
01:05:25than a large attaching case and we can
01:05:28utilize it in homes
01:05:31or hospitals clinics nursing homes
01:05:34Consulting rooms it can be carried by
01:05:37the practitioner or the doctor wherever
01:05:39you would like to use it ah Splendid
01:05:41Splendid we have Priscilla King
01:05:44a nurse consultant here who has
01:05:47volunteered to act as a patient in the
01:05:50situation I guess she'll take a little
01:05:52time off from her nursing as nursing
01:05:55patients to help and act as a patient so
01:05:57when we bring Priscilla up here and she
01:06:00will be happy to let you work in her
01:06:03with your somatic instrument
01:06:06um yes we'd be most happy to do this but
01:06:08at this point we must add that
01:06:11um we should only be able to use the
01:06:13applicator unit for this form of
01:06:17there is another form of treatment which
01:06:20is applied from the same instrument
01:06:21which has become known as biosomatics
01:06:25now biosomatics is using Silent Sound
01:06:28there is no sound whatsoever you're
01:06:31using the Basic Energy out of the sound
01:06:33but in order to use this you need the
01:06:37patient definitely in the clinic because
01:06:39a saline solution and pads have to be
01:06:42used for its application
01:06:44if I might explain how this functions
01:06:51has what should I say normal mobility in
01:06:55arms and legs very often if they hear
01:06:58music or beat in music they will beat in
01:07:01time with it either with a hand or with
01:07:03a foot it's a very common occurrence
01:07:05it's a very complicated thing if you run
01:07:07through all the procedures of it but
01:07:09it's quite easy to do but if there is
01:07:11paralysis or anything of that type
01:07:14within either the arm or the leg the
01:07:18limb will not do it now it won't do it
01:07:22because the left hemisphere of the brain
01:07:24is closed down on the synapse and it
01:07:27can't actually function it but the all
01:07:30the muscles may be correct the nerves
01:07:32may be all right joints bones everything
01:07:34is in order but the synapse of the brain
01:07:36doesn't function the limb you know if we
01:07:39reverse the process of the somatic input
01:07:42and put the input in through the hand
01:07:45and the arm we can then re-establish a
01:07:49movement in that arm and we can get the
01:07:51arm to beat in a normal natural way but
01:07:55that's not the end of the story we can
01:07:57do that and we've been able to do this
01:07:58for quite a number of years or it
01:08:01exercises the muscles and it's very good
01:08:03and it's quite interesting to the
01:08:05patient to be able to see a paralyzed
01:08:07arm moving and beating time but that is
01:08:09not basically what we want what we want
01:08:12is the synapse within the brain the
01:08:14brain to start to activate this movement
01:08:17now previously it was extremely
01:08:20difficult to shall we say go into
01:08:23another dimension of healing with the
01:08:26ordinary medical profession but of
01:08:27course we're in more enlightened times
01:08:29now we can do this so what we tell the
01:08:32patient is to close their eyes to
01:08:34visualize on the paralyzed limb see it
01:08:38in their mind or their Mind's Eye and
01:08:41then as the impulse travels into the
01:08:43limb to mentally lift at the same time
01:08:46if they do this then the synapse will
01:08:49start to function and we can get
01:08:51movement back into the tissue in the
01:08:53structure again sorry we won't be able
01:08:54to see that aspect of the instrument
01:08:59but I'm sure we will have an
01:09:02extraordinary experience watching this
01:09:05the instrument is so designed to make it
01:09:08as simple for operation as we possibly
01:09:11on this side of the instrument is a
01:09:14Sonic computer which will formulate the
01:09:17basic frequencies that you require for
01:09:19treatment this can be then locked into
01:09:22the mind of it transferred and recorded
01:09:25to a magnetic tape and is then ready
01:09:28when you plug in your applicator on this
01:09:30side to apply to the patient and the way
01:09:33we apply it the patient is merely to
01:09:38and turn up the amount of output on the
01:09:47ER is then applied to the patient but
01:09:51before it is applied to the patient it's
01:09:53always advisable remember we are
01:09:55interested in holistic medicine and the
01:09:58patient is an individual not a case
01:10:01patient is very often apprehensive tense
01:10:05perhaps tired and in pain
01:10:08and we firmly believe that an
01:10:10application of your hand over the area
01:10:12first before any treatment is given as a
01:10:16soothing effect beneficial effect and
01:10:19the patient feels more confident
01:10:23the frequency field now the frequency
01:10:26field that you're applying immediately
01:10:28displayed the patient will relax
01:10:30automatically as you're coming to the
01:10:33patient a little apprehensive once it is
01:10:36applied they are perfectly content easy
01:10:39and relaxed because the frequency you're
01:10:42Fielding in filling in is entirely in
01:10:46relation to the natural frequency there
01:10:49you are using a natural frequency there
01:10:52is nothing injurious nothing harmful
01:10:55nothing will do any harm at all in this
01:10:58particular case a nurse here has many
01:11:01serious problems but had she had serious
01:11:04problems and this joint was unmovable of
01:11:08small application around the joint
01:11:10structure it would ease down the tension
01:11:14and after a few manipulations by the
01:11:18applicator you will be able to gently
01:11:21move the joint without pain or
01:11:26up in the area here which is always an
01:11:28area of congestion pain and discomfort
01:11:31remember this is a very important area
01:11:34of the body because your eyes are
01:11:36controlled from here the organ of
01:11:38balance is controlled from here the
01:11:40facial muscles are controlled from here
01:11:42and also the nerve going down the arm is
01:11:45all controlled from this area it's a
01:11:48place where tension builds considerably
01:11:50so therefore by applying this over the
01:11:53area you'll get a relaxed and
01:11:56comfortable feeling
01:11:58once the applicator is in contact with
01:12:02the patient you have no further need to
01:12:05comfort or to reassure them
01:12:08and it matters little whether it is a
01:12:11young baby a small child or whether it's
01:12:13an elderly patient all of them relax and
01:12:17it's easy Pleasant and comfortable
01:12:21the frequency field that you are
01:12:23actually hearing is the sound which
01:12:26exists within muscle structure that
01:12:29sound that you can hear
01:12:31is the actual sound that is contained
01:12:34within the muscle structure Amplified
01:12:36many many thousands of times
01:12:39and therefore all it is necessary is to
01:12:42apply it over the area for Ease comfort
01:12:46and relaxation if they have come in and
01:12:50complained to you that there is pain in
01:12:52that shoulder and it's possibly
01:12:53rheumatism they've not told you anything
01:12:55else perhaps and you are treating this
01:12:58they will very often say doctor I can
01:13:01feel something happening down in my knee
01:13:03there's a reason for this being that
01:13:07there's possibly a slight Rheumatic
01:13:08condition in the knee joint which they
01:13:11have necessarily told you about
01:13:13but because the frequency field is
01:13:15traveling into the system the whole
01:13:18system is consumed with it all the way
01:13:21around and it will find any weakness
01:13:23anywhere in the body and deal with it as
01:13:28you're dealing with this area here after
01:13:31you've done that for a little if you are
01:13:33an osteopath or an orthopedic surgeon
01:13:36then you can start to move the area will
01:13:40move easily it will relax if you're
01:13:43going to move the arm joint you'll find
01:13:45that you'll be able to move it easily
01:13:47and simply and you will find the muscles
01:13:49will relax how does that feel
01:13:55as you put that on me I felt my whole
01:13:58body and start just relaxing you can
01:14:00feel it around all around the body
01:14:01that's right yes because it's
01:14:03transmitting into the whole of the
01:14:04structure of the body
01:14:08now that you have
01:14:10got the somatic instrument pretty well
01:14:13developed you've had it for a number of
01:14:14years now and have been using it
01:14:16successfully what are you doing now in
01:14:18terms of New Frontiers of using
01:14:20something oh quite a lot to considerable
01:14:25um the instrument itself is fully
01:14:28developed it's a scientifically
01:14:30acceptable it's medically approved and
01:14:34we now have these instruments literally
01:14:36all over the world in use uh
01:14:39particularly in the third world
01:14:40countries where we're able to train
01:14:42people efficiently and quickly to use
01:14:46but our research field at the present
01:14:50stepping now into light therapy which is
01:14:54becoming known as chromatology
01:14:57um it was always previously thought that
01:14:59the effect of colored lights as they
01:15:01termed it was a kind of gimmick in which
01:15:04you sat under a pretty light and it was
01:15:06very comfortable and it's very nice and
01:15:08very warm and very relaxing well I'm
01:15:10afraid all that is now completely
01:15:12changed we do know that light
01:15:14penetration can penetrate through the
01:15:16pores of the skin it can affect the
01:15:19bloodstream it can affect internal
01:15:21organs it can do a considerable amount
01:15:28many years ago that babies born with the
01:15:33bilirubin which is yellow jaunders
01:15:34should be treated instead of blood
01:15:37transfusions and drugs should be treated
01:15:39under blue radiation
01:15:42um this was very suspect for a long long
01:15:44time and to a one doctor in the United
01:15:47States tried it used it found it
01:15:50successful and now this technique of
01:15:52treating bilirubin is used all over the
01:15:57world now so you're working with color
01:15:59what else we're working with color but
01:16:01we're also working with the action of
01:16:03the brain we find that if we use these
01:16:06frequency fields we can affect the left
01:16:08and right hemisphere of the brain and we
01:16:12very often a condition which causes
01:16:16paralysis or a problem in the human
01:16:18anatomy and structure has its seat in
01:16:21the left side of the brain if we could
01:16:24only stimulate the right to sort of
01:16:26assess take over or form a bridge
01:16:28between the two we could overcome a lot
01:16:30of problems well now with the Advent of
01:16:34sound in a new dimension we're able to
01:16:37do just this and our research now is
01:16:41into using headphones which feed
01:16:44different frequencies into the structure
01:16:46in the system also applied at the same
01:16:49time as light radiations and cymatic
01:16:52frequencies we're able to activate all
01:16:55the cell tissues and nerve ganglia
01:16:58within the body and we're getting very
01:17:00very good results and it won't be long
01:17:02before we were able to discuss this and
01:17:05explain these details to you wonderful I
01:17:08look forward to hearing about those at a
01:17:11if people are interested in trying to
01:17:14find out more about cymatic therapy
01:17:16Peter how do they reach you if they
01:17:19write to us Dr manners
01:17:22the Brett Fortin b r e t f o r t o n
01:17:28Brett Forton Hall h-a-w-l Clinic
01:17:38e-v-e-s-h-a-m Veil
01:17:40Worcestershire England we will attempt
01:17:44to answer every letter if I possibly can
01:17:46personally and this is also how they
01:17:48would get a somatic instrument or
01:17:49information on the somatic instrument of
01:17:52course we also train students at our
01:17:54clinic so that we can qualify them in
01:17:57the use of cymatic therapy and in the
01:17:59United States those of you who would
01:18:02me regarding various uses of Sound and
01:18:05Music for well-being
01:18:07Shah the sound heels Association may be
01:18:09reached by writing post office box 2240
01:18:1580306. you continue to work with Dr
01:18:18matters and we are very very grateful
01:18:21for having had him here tonight we hope
01:18:24that the information which we've
01:18:25disseminated has been of use
01:18:27thank you Dr manners so thank you
01:18:29Jonathan I'm thoroughly enjoyed being
01:18:31here it's a pleasure here too
01:19:48on a specific substance lycopodium
01:19:52powder or spores of the Club Moss
01:19:56we have strewn it uniformly on a
01:19:58diaphragm of stretched paper with a
01:20:01diameter of about 30 centimeters which
01:20:04we now excite by vibration
01:20:07this causes the powder to clump
01:20:11we can see many small clumps many small
01:20:17and the more intense the vibration the
01:20:21more piles there are
01:20:24if the note is louder that is to say if
01:20:27the amplitude is increased these masses
01:20:30of powder move to the center and make a
01:20:34kind of dust cloud there
01:20:36an Ever wider area of powder is affected
01:20:39and more and more of these globules are
01:20:44they are not at rest but in a state of
01:20:47continuous motion
01:21:12we can see a large circular shape
01:21:15forming in the middle and continuously
01:21:19sometimes it is whipped up into a cloud
01:21:24and sometimes it reverts to the solid
01:21:28dust particle form
01:21:31these changes are caused by the
01:21:33differences in the intensity of the tone
01:21:37that is by the different amplitudes
01:21:41in this experiment the frequency that is
01:21:44to say the number of vibrations per
01:21:46second is the same
01:21:49and now we see the circular form and
01:21:53everything in a definite pattern of
01:22:21now we shall take a closer look at these
01:22:26here is one of these forms
01:22:29we can see how the material Rises up in
01:22:32the middle and is transported to the
01:22:36this pile of dust this heap of particles
01:22:40is in a process of convection
01:22:43the material travels inwards from The
01:22:46Edge along the bottom of the pile
01:22:49Rises up in the middle and is then
01:22:51carried back to the periphery
01:23:01even if the intensity of the vibration
01:23:04changes there is still a whole system of
01:23:08radial circulation
01:23:10at certain frequencies or with certain
01:23:12tones and extraordinarily interesting
01:23:15phenomenon is seen
01:23:20we see two regularly and continuously
01:23:24rotating areas at either end of a
01:23:27diameter going round and round like
01:23:32this is the expression of a rotating
01:23:38we can see they are rotating in an
01:23:40anti-clockwise Direction
01:23:53we now switch to a different frequency
01:23:56and produce the same phenomenon but this
01:24:00time in a clockwise Direction because
01:24:03the frequency is different
01:24:06if we go back to the previous frequency
01:24:08we have the same phenomenon again
01:24:11in an anti-clockwise Direction
01:24:14notice that this rotary movement does
01:24:18not affect the circulation or convection
01:24:22now we can excite the same material with
01:24:28all the way through the frequency band
01:24:31and Watch What Happens
01:24:34here we have lycopodium powder at a
01:24:37relatively soft sounding tone
01:24:40and we see that the pattern figures most
01:24:45we have motion 2 and circulation
01:24:48but above all it is the structural
01:24:52pattern that strikes the eye
01:25:02and all the shapes lying about here
01:25:05looking like monkey nuts have these
01:25:09patterns of structure
01:25:11again and again there are conviction
01:25:14cells circulatory systems forming their
01:25:18making structural patterns in the
01:25:52Now by changing the amplitude that is
01:25:57changing the volume of the tone we can
01:26:00bring about a very interesting
01:26:03the tone is the same but we introduce a
01:26:07burst an amplitude burst and every time
01:26:11we do so it integrates the whole
01:26:51these Dynamic events now lead to a
01:26:55phenomenon of exceptional interest
01:26:58you must realize that the same diaphragm
01:27:02and the same powder are used but that
01:27:05the tones are different
01:27:07here we have a flow pattern
01:27:13where we had a structural pattern before
01:27:16we now have a violent Dynamic one
01:27:22a current is formed and the powder
01:27:25rushes along in the flow path leaving
01:27:28the black pedges of the diaphragm
01:27:31completely free of powder
01:27:34everything is driven into the flow path
01:27:39we add more and more material
01:27:42but the result is not confusion or chaos
01:27:46instead everything falls into place in
01:27:50the strict flow pattern
01:27:55a point to notice about all these
01:27:58is that they can be reproduced at any
01:28:01that the factors and conditions of the
01:28:04experiment are known with accuracy
01:28:08we go on throwing in powder
01:28:11and every time this attractive and
01:28:14clearly defined flow pattern keeps on
01:28:17emerging from the vibrational field
01:28:20it is a circulatory system without walls
01:28:25the walls are so to speak the area of
01:28:30the area of vibration provides the
01:28:33constraint which gives shape to the
01:28:39different flow patterns are formed at
01:28:42different frequencies
01:29:42this is a kind of double current
01:29:45but at other frequencies we have as it
01:29:49were a four part or quadrantal pattern
01:29:53here we have a formation with four
01:29:57Fields here again we throw in powder and
01:30:02once more it is embodied in the exact
01:30:05quadrantal flow pattern created by the
01:30:36this is a particularly interesting
01:30:39phenomenon because it reveals not only
01:30:42the structuralizing effect of vibration
01:30:45but also its Dynamic and kinetic effect
01:30:51here we have a cloud of lycopodium
01:30:53powder created by vibration
01:30:56and in it we can see extraordinary life
01:31:01we have Eddie formations and sometimes
01:31:05even regular pairs of vortices
01:31:10then we have turbulences or unstable
01:31:16and the interesting thing is that during
01:31:20all this Welter of movement we have a
01:31:24structuralizing element on the diaphragm
01:31:27at the very same time there is this
01:31:31zebra pattern on the diaphragm
01:31:34it's one pole is structure
01:31:37and its other pole Dynamics
01:31:42even if we intensify the vibrations and
01:31:45make a very thick Cloud this pattern
01:31:49still takes shape on the diaphragm
01:31:52as we slowly reduce the tone
01:31:55which is a decrescendo to the ear the
01:31:59pattern created comes into view
01:32:17in the vibrational fields of this
01:32:19lycopodium and of other materials
01:32:22we saw time and again that in certain
01:32:25places the material is thrown up then
01:32:31then it is thrown up once more then all
01:32:37we saw that it kept to certain places
01:32:40that it did not Splash about just anyhow
01:32:44but that everything took place in
01:32:49in this shot we can see how there is one
01:32:53place on the diaphragm in the middle of
01:32:55our picture where the material keeps on
01:33:00and observation has shown that what we
01:33:03have here is an interference phenomenon
01:33:07the action of the waves is cumulative
01:33:10their effects are submitted at these
01:33:14spots causing the mass to be ejected
01:33:18then quiet returns
01:33:21then there is another summation
01:33:30these events are reminiscent of
01:33:33processes in solar physics in which a
01:33:36tendency to repetitive eruptions solar
01:33:40eruptions has been observed
01:33:44this repetitive tendency is particularly
01:33:47prominent in the chromosphere
01:33:50here interferences are at work
01:33:55here we can watch what these hemispheres
01:34:01there are many different things to see
01:34:03structure for instance which we have
01:34:06observed before and which appears on
01:34:08these circular forms as patches
01:34:14which we have also observed before can
01:34:19but what is particularly interesting
01:34:21about these hemispheres is the Curious
01:34:26they creep round they do not
01:34:29disintegrate they do not break up or
01:34:33and as they creep round they take
01:34:36everything with them
01:34:39when movement takes place in One
01:34:41Direction what happens is that all the
01:34:44material slips and Glides along together
01:34:48these small circular forms move like a
01:34:52maybe but only like amoebi they are not
01:34:56living systems they move like amoebi or
01:35:00to borrow a term from biology they move
01:35:07these are movements of correlation
01:35:10that is to say the movement always takes
01:35:17also we see how these small formations
01:35:21unite combine and separate
01:35:26in this way we realize there is always a
01:35:30hole we always have something entire and
01:35:33complete before us
01:35:35this is a particularly interesting
01:35:39we are able to Discover It by using
01:35:41crystal oscillators
01:35:45there are rotary processes circular
01:35:48movements which proceed with absolute
01:35:53centrifugal force is not a factor here
01:35:57the whole pattern is elicited by
01:36:00continuous parallel waves
01:36:26here we can see the currents running in
01:36:30contrary directions and creating a
01:36:33rotary effect or or revolution
01:36:37here there is something very interesting
01:36:41once again we have interference
01:36:44that is to say there are two tones
01:36:48one moment the waves summate then they
01:36:52cancel each other out
01:36:54they submit again
01:36:57and every time they submit we have
01:37:01and when they cancel each other out we
01:37:04have rest and structural pattern
01:37:08we see structure alternating continually
01:37:14structure and Dynamics
01:37:18what we see then is not caused by
01:37:21switching the vibration on and off
01:37:25but is itself a vibrational phenomenon
01:37:29structures appear clouds are formed
01:37:32there is movement and change
01:37:37or as a result of interference
01:37:59whole squads of forms appear unite again
01:38:05but always there is wholeness
01:38:09it is as if these vibrational Fields
01:38:12were providing models for a holistic
01:38:17here again we have continuous waves
01:38:21these are very large diaphragms rubber
01:38:25diaphragms more than a square meter in
01:38:29whole squads stream along in One
01:38:33others in another Direction
01:38:36structural patterns appear
01:38:38structural patterns Unite
01:38:41we are looking into a whole landscape of
01:38:44lycopodium created by vibration
01:39:24once again we have material rotating
01:39:28under the influence of continuous waves
01:39:31and we can see how in certain places
01:39:34there is an inward flowing current and
01:39:38in other places there is also an inward
01:39:41flowing current from the other direction
01:39:44so we have as it were rivers of material
01:39:48flowing in from diametrically opposite
01:39:53and they are then revealed in these
01:39:55regions of rotation
01:39:57the points of inflow are diametrically
01:40:01opposed in these rotating areas
01:40:13here we can see very clearly how the
01:40:16material flows in at bottom left and top
01:40:19right at diametrically opposite points
01:40:22and in this way is incorporated into the
01:40:29here again there are currents
01:40:31parallel continuous waves moving in
01:40:34opposite directions which carry powder
01:41:16this last experiment is really
01:41:18extraordinarily interesting
01:41:20we are looking into a funnel
01:41:23we apply vibration
01:41:25and the material is brought out of the
01:41:28bottom of the funnel
01:41:30it is transported upwards against the
01:41:35but it is not simply thrown out
01:41:38it moves around the periphery of the
01:41:40diaphragm around its circumference and
01:41:43then goes down into the funnel again
01:41:47if we intensify the tone then the upward
01:41:51March of the material is preponderant
01:41:54if we make the tone soft the material
01:41:58slides down again because the static
01:42:01friction on the under surface of the
01:42:03diaphragm is reduced
01:42:06the adhesion is reduced and consequently
01:42:09the powder slides down again when the
01:42:13vibration is less intense
01:42:16sometimes then we have a process in
01:42:19which the material moves out
01:42:22and sometimes a process in which it
01:42:27when it slips back it covers the whole
01:42:30cone when it slips out it climbs up the
01:42:37so on the one hand we have an
01:42:39anti-gravitation effect
01:42:42and on the other a sliding effect
01:42:44resulting from reduced adhesion
01:42:49when the vibration is of a particular
01:42:53we have a process in which the material
01:42:56is transported out and at the same time
01:43:01so that there is a convection current on
01:43:09this is a detail from part of the edge
01:43:13it is a complex phenomenon but all in
01:43:17all its organization is unitary
01:43:24a downward slide due to reduced adhesion
01:43:28and convection of the whole mass of
01:43:38here we see a heated and therefore
01:43:42liquid blob of chaolin excited by
01:43:47in this experiment we can follow how the
01:43:50phase of the material changes as it
01:43:54first of all we have wave fields
01:43:58we can watch the liquid substance
01:44:39gradually it cools and the liquid phase
01:44:43changes to the plastic
01:44:46and from the plastic phase it proceeds
01:44:49to the solid phase
01:44:51and we can therefore speak of
01:44:53solidification under the influence of
01:44:58here the plastic state has been reached
01:45:01there are no longer waves but a clumped
01:45:04mass which is rotating and circulating
01:45:10the substance gets harder and harder and
01:45:13more and more solid until when it has
01:45:16cooled the kaolin is completely rigid
01:45:39all these forms all these structures
01:45:42which we see here have been created
01:45:45purely and simply because the substance
01:45:48has solidified under the influence of
01:45:53we see branched and ramifying patterns
01:45:58these are not crystallized forms but
01:46:01sculptural shapes resulting from
01:46:04vibration we can call them dendritic
01:46:09finally passing over into filigree
01:46:17what is involved then is a change of
01:46:20phase under the influence of vibration
01:46:23solidification that is as an effect of
