00:00I ate only meat for 365 days here's what
00:02happened one year ago I was morbidly
00:04obese and with a family history of type
00:052 diabetes heart disease and cancer I
00:08was worried I wouldn't be around to see
00:09my children grow up I had chronic
00:10fatigue and no energy left for my family
00:12after I got home from work I suffered
00:14with low self-esteem brainfog and zero
00:16ambition I was depressed I never felt
00:18like I was good enough and I felt like I
00:20could never be the man husband or father
00:22that I had the potential to be basically
00:24I was miserable felt like a prisoner in
00:26my own body and had no one to blame but
00:28myself but now one year later this has
00:31all changed thanks to the carnivore diet
00:33so following this carnivore way of
00:35eating I've lost a total of 117 lb in
00:38the last year my starting weight was 301
00:41lb and today I weigh 184 lb I've had to
00:46buy a lot of new clothes shirt size when
00:49I first started was 3x almost 4X it was
00:52pushing today I wear a size medium shirt
00:55which is crazy my pants sizes was a 42
00:59to 4 before depending on the pants today
01:0432 I fit in one leg of the shorts I used
01:08to wear that's crazy you look like a
01:10teacher wearing like a khaki skirt no
01:15cheating as far as exercise goes
01:17throughout my journey over the last year
01:19I did not really exercise at all I work
01:21a relatively active job where I do get
01:23quite a few steps in throughout the day
01:25but up until the last month I did not
01:28exercise and all my weight loss has come
01:29come from just the diet alone the
01:32cardboard diet is a strict Elimination
01:33Diet where you eat only animal products
01:36such as beef butter bacon eggs chicken
01:38seafood and sometimes Dairy I chose
01:41caror because I love meat I've never
01:43been a huge fan of vegetables so the
01:45fact that I could eat meat and meat
01:47alone sounded really interesting and it
01:49worked I've tried other diets in the
01:51past such as keto that didn't work I've
01:53tried to do a low calorie diet I've
01:55tried other things and it's never been
01:57sustainable or worked for me I feel SA
01:59appreci after eat a bunch of protein and
02:01fat it was able to hold me over until
02:03the next meal and I know that to lose
02:05weight you have to restrict something
02:07and for me eating nothing but meat and
02:10cutting out everything else it was
02:12simple easy and very sustainable and it
02:14made it successful for me another reason
02:16I chose carnivore was because I am a
02:18food addict I'm addicted to carbs and
02:21sugar especially sugar every night after
02:24dinner before bed I would sit there and
02:26just munch on candy all night long and
02:28that's how I got to way over 300 lb I
02:31would always use food as a comfort to
02:33celebrate things or to get a quick
02:35dopamine hit and because carbite is so
02:37strict and I'm only eating meat it
02:39forced me to really address those food
02:41addiction issues head on another reason
02:43I chose carnivore is because it puts you
02:44into a deep state of ketosis basically
02:46what that means is instead of your body
02:48using carbohydrates or glucose as energy
02:51it uses fat in your body fat to give you
02:55energy and keep you going throughout the
02:57day so it was able to burn that body fat
02:59off Qui quicker and if you think

03:11yourself what do you eat on a carboard
03:12diet just steak I mean technically yeah
03:15you could just eat steak but everyone's
03:17different and for me a year ago when I
03:19first started my journey what I ate then
03:21is very different than what I eat now so
03:22at the beginning of my journey I was
03:24just trying to stay carnivore in the
03:27beginning I would eat three meals a day
03:29I would have coffee I would put heavy
03:30whipping cream or creamer in my coffee
03:33and then for breakfast I usually have
03:34something like eggs and bacon or eggs
03:36and sausage I would eat pork chicken
03:39beef steak you name it as long as it's
03:41carnivore I was eating it my goal was to
03:43eat meat and stay full and not get
03:45hungry I wasn't tracking calories I was
03:47just trying to stay carnivore and really
03:51get past those food addiction issues and
03:52really try to make that lifestyle
03:55adjustment and that worked the first
03:57month I lost 20 PBS I was feeling great
03:59I feel like I conquered a lot of things
04:01and really got into the habit of this
04:03lifestyle change and after the first
04:05month I decided you know I really not
04:08hungry in the morning anymore so I just
04:10decided to not have breakfast and I
04:12would just eat lunch and dinner have my
04:14coffee in the morning and that really
04:17was sustainable for me so from month 2
04:19to month 11 was pretty similar two meals
04:22a day coffee in the morning usually
04:24would have about six or so eggs for
04:26lunch maybe some chicken legs maybe some
04:28chicken wings give or take a steak or
04:30ground beef for dinner so mostly eggs
04:32and beef some chicken here and there but
04:34that was pretty much what I ate from
04:36month two to month 11 once I got to
04:38month 10 and I lost 100 lb I completely
04:41stalled out and I knew I had to make
04:43some changes to be able to continue on
04:45my weight loss Journey so what I did was
04:47I transitioned to omad which stands for
04:49one meal a day so I would fast night
04:51before when I ate dinner all up until
04:53the next evening so basically a 22-hour
04:56fast and ate all my calories for the day
04:58in one meal also I cut out Dairy I was
05:01putting heavy whipping cream in my
05:02coffee I would eat cheese here and there
05:04so I cut that out completely and I also
05:06switched to what's called BBB which
05:08stands for beef butter bacon and eggs
05:11and for me it was mostly just eating
05:12eggs and beef so for my one meal one
05:16night I would have five scrambled eggs
05:17and an 18 oz in New York strip so a nice
05:20fatty piece of red meat the next night I
05:22would have my four or five scrambled
05:24eggs and one pound of ground beef and I
05:27would just alternate and doing all these
05:29things like omad cutting out Dairy and
05:31eating beef and Eggs only helped me to
05:33break through my stall and I was able to
05:35lose an additional 17 lbs in the last 2
05:37months I get a lot of questions about
05:39exercise and loose skin as far as
05:41exercise goes throughout my journey over
05:43the last year I did not really exercise
05:45at all I work a relatively active job
05:47where I do get quite a few steps in
05:49throughout the day but up until the last
05:52month I did not exercise and all my
05:53weight loss has come from just the diet
05:56alone now that I'm nearing the end of my
05:58weight loss journey and I only have
05:59about 10 to 15 lbs left to lose over the
06:02last month I've decided to start lifting
06:04weights and that just helps me build
06:06that muscle help burn those extra
06:08calories and get me to my goals quicker
06:12as far as loose skin goes yeah there's a
06:14little bit of loose skin but I'm not to
06:15where I want to be yet I'm not
06:17comfortable sharing that yet so when I
06:19hit my goals I'll then be sharing what
06:23loose skin looks like and the shirt will
06:24be coming off now before I get into all
06:26the health improvements that I've seen

07:04last year the first one is I found
07:06freedom from food addiction like I said
07:09before I was addicted to sugar and carbs
07:10and I would constantly snack on candy at
07:12night but now I overcome that I don't
07:15have those constant Cravings anymore I'm
07:17not always thinking about what my next
07:18meal is going to be I don't have that
07:19constant food noise going on in my brain
07:22and I don't really think about food all
07:23that much anymore and now I just view
07:25food as fuel and energy to keep me going
07:28throughout the day I no longer suffer
07:30from chronic inflammation joint pain
07:32back pain stiffness I no longer have IBS
07:35stomach bloating or any kind of gut
07:38issues anymore the brain fog is gone I
07:39have a lot more mental Clarity and I
07:41just feel way more energetic and
07:43ambitious and just have a whole
07:46different Outlook and attitude on life
07:48and I no longer suffer with depression
07:50I'm starting to become a man and father
07:52and husband that I can be proud of the
07:53crazy thing is the way I felt before I
07:56thought that was normal and just a part
07:57of getting older but the trth truth is
07:59going carnivore has just made me feel
08:01absolutely amazing I never thought I
08:03could feel this good over the last year
08:04I've lost 117 lbs I had to buy an entire
08:07new wardrobe but most importantly I took
08:09my life and my health back and you can
08:12too if you're thinking about starting
08:13your own health journey I know what the
08:15beginning if you have over 100 lbs to
08:17lose like I did and you need to conquer
08:18your food addictions it can seem
08:20impossible but I'm living proof that it
08:23is possible if I can do it you can do it
08:25too the hardest part is actually just
08:28starting just taking that that dive and
08:30doing it I challenge you do it for 30
08:33days better yet if you can't handle that
08:35do it for 24 hours just focus taking it
08:38one day at a time 24 hours do that every
08:41single day and you'll become a habit and
08:44it become easier and easier as time goes
08:45on and you'll conquer your food
08:46addiction you'll start feeling amazing
